Dropped about 2 cents in a few minutes. wow.

At least it gets the distribution going

If a major stakeholder is causing this, I think it's extremely positive.

It's happening, some major stake holder is simply selling every coin and the price of nxt on dgex is dropping fast.

Three cheers for that major stakeholder!

I'd like to see some statistics about distribution of NXT. If 90% is in the hands of the (73) first-stakeholders and only the trading of the remaining 10% is generating the price of NXT, that would be bad in my eyes.

I'd also love to see this.  Can this info be extracted from the blockchain?

OK so the aliases point to IPs.  Got it.

DGEX is back up and the coinmarketcap.com price moved up immediately.

There have been 26 downloads of my Pi package yet. I have no idea how many people have set it up themselves earlier. Probably not a whole lot.

Are you running it?  Any problems once it's going?  Is the Model B OK?  I'm ordering one tomorrow.

nxtcrypto.org seems to be holding nice and strong throughout the DDoS.  I'd like to suggest that the admin install dokuwiki at some point instead of pointing to wikia.  dokuwiki is dead simple to install, maintain, and use.

on my private server, NxT-Node has more than 450 active peers now and rock-stable;-)
( maxNumberOfConnectedPublicPeers = 50 )
nice to see this growing more and more!!!

1000+ active peers here!  I wonder how many are Raspberry Pi.

This brings up something I think is very important.  We need to establish a dashboard someplace off this thread where we can see fact and statistics that are accumulating or changing.   How many nodes are there?  How many sites?   What is the current DDos level?   Etc etc etc...

Inquiring minds want to know.  This is an interesting cyberwar to be following, we need a newsroom instead of just an endless blizzard of reporter dispatches.

Great idea.  And links to various important Nxt sites/pages and to the latest version of the software.

I'm going to ask again if people running VPS could start sharing their experiences with different hosts they use, so we can find more and more.

budgetvm seems very good.  they offer inexpensive XEN linux VPSs.  XEN are the best VPS type, no resource sharing at all.

I'm also very interested in this.

Are there any?

Does the DDoS cause the nodes to max out their transmit bandwidth or receive bandwidth?
1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 26, 2013, 03:34:33 PM
Nice, a lot more nodes online today.  Is the Raspberry Pi thing working out?  Do we have any idea how many Raspberry Pis are currently operating as nodes?  Any issues running Nxt on them?
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Which coins have decentralized DNS? on: December 26, 2013, 04:30:46 AM
Have any coins besides Namecoin planned or implemented decentralized DNS?

Does anyone know?  Is it both?

Actually it looks like DGEX is working for me except this page:

http://www.dgex.com/trading.cgi

Anybody else?

I have two hallmarked nodes running at digitalocean.com.  I noticed they weren't using much more than 100KB/s so I asked around about a VPS provider with more bandwidth and was pointed to swiftslots.com.  I set up a hallmarked node with them but it's also only using about 100KB/s.  The digitalocean nodes have 100NXT and the swiftslots node has 2000NXT.

Why can't I soak up more than that amount of bandwidth?  Do we have enough nodes already?

Can anyone help me out with this?

I'm also puzzled as to why I don't see any of my node IPs in any of my node peer lists.
