Don't know why you newbies focus that much on an unfinished wallet. Something is not right with all those newbies post about it. You should learn what is a fully functional wallet.
If you like that wallet so much great but you didn't do shit to help it except promote a crappy wallet.

This coin deserve much more than that. Hope the new lead team can pull this coin out of the shit the last dev put it in.

Great observation.

If you had a section which reliably reported on new technical developments like burst's hard drive mining or cryptonote's ring signatures, I would pay to read it.  It is quite painful to keep up when the only source is this drama-drenched forum.

The Einsteinium News located at www.Einsteinium.biz will essentially be 97% good news, almost all of the content will be self-written.  There will but little to no investigative reporting.

It will be a place to promote your product, service, coin, idea, or yourself.

thanks
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdfunding with bitcoin? on: October 28, 2014, 12:36:08 AM
Hi BanksWorstFear,

Yes, we aren't getting the mainstream adoption we are looking for , but that is systematic with Bitcoin ecosystem as a whole. We hope to bring on some pretty exciting projects in the next few months. I hope you find the Bitcoin crowdfunding you are looking for and if you need any help with anything just let me know! Thanks.

edit: Rushwallet is pretty sweet!  Grin

We just got this project listed: https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/1050

Quick question for bitcoinstarter, I attempted to use my google account sign into your site, after it was approved I sought to change the withdrawal address however your system would not permit me to change it without a "password"  how is that achieved given that I signed in with the google account?

please clarify.

I'll be adding a project soon.

Let me know if you want some free publicity for your project.

Anybody received any BTC from Mintpal yet?

kinda sorta, the guy that threatened, via twitter,  to kill himself if he didn't get this 150btc  was given back 50 btc by alex green/ryan kennedy -- if you want to count that.

Dear EMC2 Community,

Someone who had a large stake in EMC2 recklessly and maliciously forced down the value of the coin using a 2.5M coin-wall.   The irresponsible action involved approximately 4% of the total outstanding coins and took place at Poloniex apparently aimed at causing a panic sell-off.

I would not stop anyone from selling their interest in EMC2, nor would I discourage anyone from buying artificially low priced EMC2, however this sort of market manipulation should not be rewarded.   To those who contacted me regarding the matter, my advice was simple -- don't sell.

Prior to the FUD campaign approx 10 people cooperatively owned ~ 52% of EMC2, now as a direct result of action 9 people own 53% of EMC2.   The 10 to 9 could be expected because the large stakeholder wanted out, however he not only sold his share but also caused the sell-off of another 1.5M coins (1% of total outstanding coins).  All of those coins came from the 48% of the coin population.  My guess is they sold at a loss.

Please do not sell your EMC2 in times of irrational fear uncertainty and doubt, sell when you see a profit level you are comfortable with.

Earlier I reported the above info, I am pleased to announce that we know who stepped up to purchase the bulk of the 2M EMC2 that was terrorizing the EMC2 markets on the public exchanges, although we are not at liberty to make any disclosures I can say with great confidence that the coins are in good hands.

Stability is restored to EMC2, barring any unforeseen circumstances you should see the EMC2 market rate increase sharply of the coming days.

1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: October 27, 2014, 03:36:36 AM
A helpful sortable column would be "Date Established". I am always curious at the amount of time a coin has been alive. It'd probably be too much work to track down all the dates but it would help me sort the oldest, mature coins from the brand new coins just getting started.

Like a "founded" column or 1st block date. Just someway to STR coins by maturity.

+1

for the 'circa' column, simply 4 characters,  month and year -- 1114 would be November 2014

Yep that would work!

Yep, I have all that in DOACC (see sig) and in RDF to boot.

I ensured that each DOACC entry has an “incept date” of YYYY-MM. Yes, it was a lot of work but I saw it as essential to DOACC. And, once completed, it's then well worth maintaining, at least from a disciplinary perspective if not a financial one.

It allows me to publish the altcoin launch graphs/graphics on Minkiz front page (http://minkiz.co/). Another, less compelling, example of where I use it is in Minki’s version of the bitcointalk Sleepers list. The details are a bit rough'n'ready atm, still in “ninja launch” mode.

If Gliss is interested, we could use DOACC to backfill a “founded” column for all the altcoins currently listed at coinmarketcap (AIUI, assets have their own release date calendar courtesy of the asset issue mechanism), merely by posing an appropriate SPARQL query of the the DOACC RDF graph, along the lines:
Code:
PREFIX skos: <http://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/core#>
PREFIX doacc: <http://purl.org/net/bel-epa/doacc#>

SELECT ?node ?label ?symbol ?incept WHERE
{
?node skos:prefLabel ?label .
?node doacc:symbol ?symbol .
?node doacc:incept ?incept.
}
LIMIT 25
(If you want to see it working, just copynpasta the above into the form field on http://minkiz.co/sparql)

The only hiccough is a few differences in trading symbols, apparently inherited from the regrettable practice of major exchanges deciding to ignore the actual symbol specified in the bitcoinunits.cpp code.

For example, see Silkcoin, referenced as “SILK” on the exchanges --- and consequently in the coinmarketcap stats (http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/silkcoin/) --- which, if everybody had their druthers, is actually “SC” in the wallet code (https://github.com/shnurf/silkcoin/blob/master/src/qt/bitcoinunits.cpp#L38).

For DOACC, I chose to go by the verifiable fact of what's actually specified in the C++ code.

For my occasional use of cross-referencing DOACC data with coinmarketcap data, I use a map (Python dictionary) of coinmarketcap symbols -> DOACC symbols. We'd turn the dictionary mapping into a separate graph of RDF statements and either use it to augment a copy of the main DOACC graph or act as a source for a federated query - both of which are fairly trivial to do.

btw, I'd say that your instincts are correct; given the calendarial flexibility of “ninja” launches, YYYY-MM is about as precise as you can sensibly get / need to be.

Cheers

Graham

ARMIS ... a high strategy board game that plays like Chess, Checkers, Risk and Stratego all at the same time.  Armis is specifically designed to provide a daily brain workout. Although the learning curve is steep you can rest assured that its not too complex for anyone over age 7.   Remember its a brain workout game so don't expect it to be easy.

The object of the game is to capture your opponent's Flag (which represents the country).  Each team is provided with 17 unique pieces, with various duties, powers, and movement abilities.  There are over a million ways to setup, the game is played on three planes: Land, Air, and Sea.

Armis is played in over 140 countries online at www.ArmisGame.com

Usually the lawyers that work like that see this as a just-beyond-frivolous lawsuit that they are willing to fight for the billables, so they do the lawyer phone call, lawyer letter, and media punch.  If none of those are effective their client will have to fork over $10K to get the case rolling.

Cryptocurrency "Mining" Develops Scientific Research

Folding
Folding uses your computer to simulate how proteins fold in your body. This is the Folding@home project developed by Stanford University. Anyone's everyday laptop, PC, or Mac can produce meaningful research results, but the stronger your computer is, the more credits will be produced. Medical and scientific researchers use the simulated proteins to find new advances in medicines.

What is FoldingCoin?
Donors to Folding@home have always received a "feel good" high score on the Stanford web page. But there were no tangible rewards. Until now. Using Bitcoin 2.0 technology, we have created a "FoldingCoin" token (FLDC) that is distributed to you as a reward for folding. This is a new currency that can be transferred from person to person using the Bitcoin blockchain and the Counterparty protocol. FoldingCoin is valuable because it represents time and resources you contributed to research new medicines. Our team is working on getting this new currency on select cryptocurrency exchange sites, so that people who are not folding can buy the token from you to support your computer folding time ...

One of my fellow board members at EMC2 told me about http://theblocknet.com/, after a cursory view of the material it reminded me of your project, perhaps it might be of interest to you.
