I realize that not everyone has rights to see everything that happens on this forum, so they might not understand why Lauda forming a crew to spread negative trust to users is the direct opposite of the forum's wishes.  I was once like Lauda and thought we should be proactively fighting against scammers instead of positively lifting up those that don't scam.  Lauda, welcome to 2015.  Nice to see you're only 2-3 years behind me in trying to better this place, only I accepted the forum's stance, and you've unleashed a sea of tears like an entitled child.  This is the response I received from a Global Moderator when I tried to recommend we engage in exactly what Lauda is now doing.  This is pretty black/white, right?

Q: Why haven't you banned <insert scammer username here> who is an obvious scammer?
A: Possible (or real, not for me to decide) scams are not moderated to prevent moderator abuse. If we start picking out which ones we call "scammers" and ban, we would make a lot of decisions based on biased opinions.

picking out

You've posted that somewhere else too, and I thought it missed the point when I first read it, even if it's not a deliberate strawman.
No-one's asking the System, via moderators, to ban suspected scammers for the reasons applicable above.
But that's a Country Mile from the System discouraging/censoring the leaving of trust ratings by individual forum members, even if it's not 100% spot on.
I "pick out" and leave negatives for suspected scammers in the hope that it might stop some newbie getting scammed, but because few of them probably understand things like Depth settings, then I doubt it ever gets read, but I still leave it. Is this not what we are supposed to do?
1362  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 15, 2018, 08:56:30 PM
Presumably they were trustworthy and valued at some point in time, before the wind changed?
OP is an account trader and farmer. Ergo, why he started this thread and all threads ever about me (or similar). From his perspective, it is in his best interest that all those ratings get nullified.

Yeah I get that, my post was to do with the general principle, prompted by Zepher

After considering things, I honestly couldn't care less about being excluded from DT. I no longer wish to be part of this flawed system, a system that worked for a long time, but is  now infiltrated by scammers and people who use it to benefit their own personal agendas.

The only thing that truly pisses me off is the fact that all of my ratings are now defunct. I may not have been completely active recently, but the users who know me understand I have had my reasons for that. I would say that the majority of all the ratings I have ever left are completely valid. The trustworthy users I have given positive trust to, for often very large deals, means nothing now.
All the untrustworthy users I have tagged over the years, to warn other users to avoid that person - means nothing now.

It ALL means nothing. Congrats.

What a clusterfuck. I'll review your ratings over the weekend and if I'm still in DT by then - I'll try to repost as many as I can.
1363  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda removed from DT network via 3 exclusions on: February 15, 2018, 08:51:29 PM
Absolutely going to go nowhere near the knitting circle politics of this "situation", but the disappearing of all trust previously left by an ousted member of Default Trust seems to be pretty daft.
Presumably they were trustworthy and valued at some point in time, before the wind changed?
Surely, as "Nights of the Cross Thru's" like this are relatively rare, previously left positives and negatives should stand, unless challenged and then arbitrated on.
1364  Other / Meta / Re: Asking for Merit ? on: February 15, 2018, 08:38:35 PM

Begging, both irl and here may be irritating but is a simple request, not a fraudulent scheme and the "have not earned" caveat is implicit in the act of begging.
Or maybe if the begging is of high quality and informative, would it then qualify for merit in its own right?
1365  Other / Meta / Re: Asking for Merit ? on: February 15, 2018, 08:24:29 PM

Begging for merit even once will earn you negative trust.

Why's that?

How does begging for points fulfill this

Quote from:  trust criteria
Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer.

in any way?
1366  Other / Meta / Re: Need a help to earn merits on: February 15, 2018, 08:12:13 PM
Everyone knows that it difficult to get merits even for brilliant post is it difficult to get a single merit.without a merit we cannot increase the forum rank .so my opinion is there are soo many senior, hero and legendary members soo it is very helpful that they give merits for the quality posts of newbies,jr members and members because it is difficult to earn merits soo senior members start doing this it will be a very helpful for for newbies who try to create quality posts in this forum

I'm sure that if you manage a "brilliant post", even a formatted and punctuated one, merits will flood your way.
Unfortunately, your current tactic of two liner word soups in Bitcoin Discussion every four minutes needs a bit of rethinking.
1367  Other / Meta / Re: Asking for Merit ? on: February 15, 2018, 07:34:40 PM

Do not beg for merit excessively.

So, reluctantly dragged back to this toxic place by someone tempted by this absurd proposal, let's see what we have....

A thread started by an account bought specifically for that purpose. Always a good sign..... #not really

And, in the "whitepaper" a picture of our old friend Sergey Panteleevich.

I see they've decided to use an old, old photo of the great Magic Money Man, from his younger revolutionary/anarcho capitalist/sociopath/socialist/Liberator and Saviour of the Oppressed incarnation.

(This collage is a recent one, referring to his old, worn out gifting scam called MMM, in its Nigerian iteration.
Last time I bothered to look, it had been "reset" three times. "Reset" in this context means all money stolen, with a sort of promise that if you send some more, you might get some back. Happens to all MMM schemes. Involves huge losses for unsophisticated "investors" who have "provided help" out of a mixture of desperation and greed. A real Man of the People.)

Despite citing a Twitter account as "proof" that Mavrodi is behind this scheme, the truth is more like he is dead, stabbed with an ice pick (or was that some other Russian Hero of the People?).
The last time I saw him "live", was a series of You Tube vids, mainly with his head circled by his arms, reassuring South African MMMers that "all is well". Very shortly after the videos stopped, so did the scheme. (See Nigeria for result.)

"Mavros" are nothing new by the way, MMM used them as back office tokens in order to destroy value at will.

And there's always this

Who else is part of this future of MLM, who is masterminding the Financial Future of the World?

Victor Geld....

"Creator", "Ideologist", "Co-Founder".......

or Alex, Estate Agent/Translator for hire?

and some "Russian financial adviser" called Stepan Demura. Whatever.

So, the future of currency is in the hands of these three illustrious gentlemen.

I see a few of the newbies (the few that aren't posting for rewards) are asking: what is this MLM which mavros will revolutionize?

MLM (Multi Level Marketing) is an American invention from the early 20th C.
Because distances were so large and communications basic (no mobiles, no internet OMG) it was a way for a producer to expand its sales force and stockholders cheaply countrywide, with distributors recruited locally and rewards made on a pyramid basis. A hardworking "downline" was a valuable income for those near the top, and so it remains today.
But time has caught up with MLM, it only exists legitimately now because of the huge inertia and legal and lobbying power of the big players like Amway, Avon, Tupperware etc. etc. and the desperation that drives most of their lower level participants to work for little reward.
It's a shit, outmoded business model in the Age of Amazon, still here only because of corporate lobbying and the large rewards for the >1% at the top of the pyramid.

Like most systems with vested interest, MLM has mutated to survive and received some new energy in the context of recruiting victims for Ponzi Schemes.
(Ponzi Schemes are simply fraudulent business models which only survive by using later "investors" funds to meet promised impossible returns on investment which have been made to early investors.)
Tied to lucrative multi level recruitment schemes, they appear from nowhere, suck in investment and disappear.
Organized Criminals or Freedom Fighters?
Crypto is riddled with them (think mining, options trading etc.) also with noisy shills promoting them, excusing their lies with a "personal responsibility" mantra.

So which of the two types of MLM will make use of this 'mavro transparency' supposedly on offer here?
Neither.
Pseudo legitimate giants like Amway?
No, if they wanted to they could easily employ their own blockchain, but they won't. In an industry which thrives on immense inequality of earnings and opportunity, the last thing they want is transparency.
Ponzi schemes?
Of course not. It would kill them.

Roadmap....

The first four stages successfully completed then.
And what exactly has been achieved so far?
You will see under Stage 2, 30% per month 'dividends' were paid. There was no economic activity creating wealth, just a Xerox machine (90's terminology). It was shut down, according to MMM orthodox propaganda, as a "threat to the state".
In the 110 countries referred to in Stage 3, it was also shut down. So many states threatened......or just straight forward theft thru a simple Ponzi structure that devalued itself by design?
Stage 10.... 2020, "revolution in the worldwide economy".
I'm all for that, the sooner the better, but when Sergey says "Financial Apocalypse is Inevitable" (and has been saying for 25 years) he's referring to the personal financial apocalypse that comes from giving him money.

What has been will be.

1372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Is MAVRO the most ridiculus ICO (that doesn't look like a joke)? on: February 10, 2018, 02:34:35 PM
I put my bets on the upcoming "MAVRO" ICO on being the most ridiculous one yet. It is (likely a scam and) supposedly curated by Sergei Mavrody, the mastermind that created the biggest ponzi scheme in Earth's history, MMM.

Their goal is to support the creation of more ponzi schemes in their platform, as they claim that ponzi schemes are currently facing harsh regulation, being "over regulated"...  Roll Eyes

The effort put into this ICO makes it look very polished and nothing like a joke. I'm sure many people would fall for this but even if Sergei is indeed behind it it's very much likely that it'll end up scamming people once again, as he always does.

Overall, this ICO is shameless about being a safe heaven for ponzi schemes, and likely to support such practices through its core services too. At least other scams about to collapse like bitconnect try to hide it.

It's not true, the goal is not to create a platform for ponzi  schemes. The project is about decentilizied platform for MLM systems. MLM it's not ponzi schemes, most famous MLM examples is Avon, Amway, Vorwerk etc. I think you can learn more about project here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2759488.20
Why would you pretend that MLMs are not pyramid type Ponzi schemes? Are you invested in Mavro yourself? This is blatsnt lying. MLMs and web based ones especially are specifically structured to benefit the few ones at the top. They need more regulation, not a platform to avoid it. So many people are loosing money by buying into the dream that MLMs try to sell.

I'm not pretend anything, just saying that you don't really undestand what's going on here. Do you really think that Avon, Amway, Vorwerk and etc. are based on Ponzi schemes?
What i see here  - you are not even read whitepaper and just saying  - "project is scam because i think so!!". Try to read whitepaper first, you can find whitepaper here - https://mavro.org/pdf/MAVRO_Whitepaper.pdf

The "whitepaper" is a wordy nonsense that identifies as a solution to a problem that doesn't exist in the so called legit MLM world.
MLM's core problem is that it is an obsolete, completely pyramidical system which outgrew its original usefulness in the early 20th C, now existing solely due to inertia and the weight of legal power of the big players. It depends on its opacity for continued survival.

This reboot of a token invented by associates and imitators of the one trick pony Mavrodi has no value, but will no doubt be hyped via airdrop bullshit and lies and achieve its real goal: Financial Catastrophe.
Not the Global one from Mayrodi's fevered dreams, but a personal one for the bag holders and deluded fools.
