Saudi Arabian football federation is making wave in the sport. They are experiencing a major upgrade and boost this year, they had a plan and target when they decided to sign Christiano Ronaldo and ever since they have been having sucess in signing big names. They can now influence even the best players in the world to Join them now coaches too, I am really impressed by how quick they have turned their football league and business around no doubts having Roberto Mancini is a major boost.
From a business point of view this is good for Saudi Arabia as their league is in the spotlight of the world, but there are times when football no longer sees fairness in buying some players and in the end it is just a question of money. Of course not all players were bought at fantastic prices when they joined the club there and only a few big names got extraordinary value. What Saudi Arabia is doing will definitely have an impact on the football industry and we will be presented with whoever has the most money, they are in power. Regardless of the future of football and the great hopes for the younger generation of sports lovers, especially football in Saudi Arabia and the presence of several world football stars can spur their enthusiasm to redeem European football. Now they have a different spirit with the presence of some of the world's top players and the world's view of Saudi Arabian football will definitely change in the end. The Arab Football Federation is ambitious to "overthrow European football."They attract a series of big stars in this summer transfer window. After the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo is a series of famous names. I heard they are planning to buy Liverpool striker Salah. The Salah deal, if it takes place for a fee of 150 million euros, will set a new transfer record in the history of Saudi football. Salah is also promised a higher salary than Ronaldo. This is just the beginning. Arab Football Federation will surely attract more famous players from Europe as they are not as restrictive as the European Football Federation's Financial Fair Play law. With financial potential, they can easily attract prominent players. Toppling the dominance of European football is only a matter of time. Heard of this transfer while watching a livefeed of the last Liverpool match and hadn't heard of before that. So didn't take too much concern about it until I did a search of any news and seen this headline from a few hours ago: "Mo Salah ‘likely’ to leave Liverpool ‘this week’ as Liverpool are told £25m ‘would be accepted’ for replacement" source: https://www.football365.com/news/liverpool-salah-transfer-likely-al-ittihad-bakayoko-replacementBut this salary seems to be more closer to what was mentioned here for a full transfer fee instead of replacement: https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/mohamed-salah-to-al-ittihad-saudi-club-prepare-162-million-bid-in-attempt-to-persuade-liverpool-to-sellThey have until Friday to make this deal happen before European transfers are closed as I believe the transfer window closes on the 20th next month for the Egyptian league.

Some good news today which sent cryptocurrency markets into a frenzy. https://decrypt.co/154119/grayscale-wins-appeal-against-sec-to-convert-bitcoin-trust-to-etfNot sure why as it is not an approval yet. "The SEC and Grayscale have 45 days to appeal Tuesday’s court decision. If that happens, the case could either be sent to the U.S. Supreme Court or be subject to an en banc panel review, where all of the court’s judges would weigh in during a rehearing."But a win is a win while bitcoin's price was at $25,900 before this news was released then after $27,900 and keeping steady for the time being.

More match of the day promo. I already placed my bet on Galatasaray's special @3.00. They're currently up by one goal after the first leg and should overpower Molde. Molde doesn't look that solid on the road, so Galatasaray should be able to score at least two and hope Icardi gets one of the two. Nice win for the match of the day special @3.00x you managed to grab @ralle14 ! Tuned in right when Icardi was stepping up to take the penalty at the 6 minute mark at the beginning of the match. Luckly they scored at the 3 minute into injury time to take the victory scoring their 2 goal required for the Sportsbet Special to hit nicely! @YuginKadoya Nice lengthy line-up for the Wnba action to keep continuing on for tonight. Watched the tail end of the Aces vs Liberty match last night and surprised that was their second loss after winning so many games. They were down by so many points in the last quarter and seeing the final score they were battling back just like the Philippines did in their FIBA match against Italy.

Just watched the fight between Manon Fiorot and Tabatha Ricci and she does have punching power. That was two years ago but that kind of skill just doesn't go away and she has only one loss on her record. Was a Rose Namajunas fan for quite awhile but that was before her last fight against Carla Esparza which took the wind out of her sails. Don't know if it was her suffering exhaustion physically but she just didn't move in that fight for what she was known for in the past. This one I am looking forward to see if Rose can come out of these problems and return to the old Namajunas we all have witnessed in those amazing fights such as @jakelyson has mentioned against the current champion Zhang Weili.
Gane vs Spivac should be a grappling matchup and see it either ending in a submission or a decision.
|
|
|
Just by comparing their MMA records, it appears Spivac does have the advantage but it's not what the bookmakers are seeing. Gane is their favorite which I agree also despite how humiliating his performance with against Jones. Gane will still be using his reach advantage and he is still faster in my belief.
Fiorot has impressive KO power for a woman but I bet Namajunas will still submit her. She must have found it amusing to see Zhang whom she had beaten twice now hold the belt she won and defended many times. I think she is up to getting it from Zhang for the 3rd time.
Same with me. Jones just embarrassed Gane and him sitting on the mat in disbelief of what happened afterwards can't leave the minds of fans no matter how long ago the fight was. I will be going with Spivac due to the last time I saw him fight he was dominate and prepared as a fighter should be. About Rose, I don't know if she could come back from such a bad performance in her last fight. They basically didn't do much and if we get that same fight in the Fiorot fight, then I think she has just lost the passion to fight anymore.

Shavkat Rakhmonov has avoided this just fighting in March and I haven't seen him yet, I think that this has to happen Shavkat Rakhmanov needs to fight somebody anyone, and for me maybe Gilbert Burns because this guy is really asking for a fight or Colby Covington because Khamzat Chimaev have already goes up the division to fight Paulo Costa man no one wants to fight Shavkat Rakmanov.
Was also thinking of this fighter after watching ONE over the weekend, due to somebody in the sports chat room I was in during UFC having mentioned about this MMA championship with mostly Thai and some Russian fighters. Shavkat hasn't fought somebody in the UFC for a very long time and there has been talk of him fighting soon. Another name which I haven't heard of was Rose Namajunas since she fought Carla Esparza back in May 2022. She is headlined in the UFC event for France in September which was mentioned during the promotions for this past weekend. Now that is something for the thug Rose fans to be looking forward too coming up.

Noticed the qualifiers for TI happening earlier today with Team Secret up against OG. It was a fairly short match ending in a 2:0 result for Team Secret as @passwordnow has mentioned above. Plenty more matches to come before October. For those who are Valorant fans look who decided to make an appearance at one of their tournament matches: https://escorenews.com/en/valorant/news/50348-elon-musk-and-ben-affleck-spotted-visiting-valorant-champions-2023Didn't know Elon and Affleck were big enough fans of any Esports to attend a live event. Maybe some interest in purchasing a team such as Shaq had done.

There was no shock at the end result, Max got the win as always, no matter what happened during the race, he kept his lead and just won it as expected. I am guessing that as long as he finishes the races with no crash, he will just keep on winning. This makes it 10 for the season if I am not wrong, and that breaks the record Vettel had, and that's another record Max broken. Unless something major happens, this dude could get to 8 titles as well, he will have just 5 left after this, and 2026 is the season big changes will happen, if Red Bull can stay even just a bit decent during that time, I bet that he will break that 8 title record without a doubt, he is unreal.
Truth be told he will surpass Vettel having the record with the next race. This one was a real mess from beginning to end with Leclerc retiring his car from an earlier incident. And Perez getting a penalty from the restart of the remaining 5 laps to conclude the race after the red flag from the collision into the barrier. Gasly moving into the podium place due to that 5 second penalty to Checo moved him out at the checkered flag of getting a third place finish. Overall, no one can say it was a boring race. Because if you saw it that way you are certainly not watching the race and just going by the podium and finishing places.

Wow! Didn't expect both matches in the special to fall flat with a draw from Arsenal and Brighton to lose like that. Very frustrating day yesterday for any bettors in the EPL who backed the favorites. Today has Newcastle and they haven't disappointed so far with being the newly sponsored team for Sportsbet,io! So let's back them in today's match to put up a good fight against Liverpool! Here are the Match of the day markets for the ClubhouseTV & Sportsbet specials: https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/matches/todayWill be backing a Newcastle win for today's match!

I forgot this event was starting really early because it was in Singapore, so I only managed to watch main event between Max Holloway and Korean Zombie. It was amazing KO win by Holloway but I think Zombie was really good up until third round when he started to attack without thinking or defense. This was amazing carrier for Korean Zombie and I am sad to see him officially announcing retirement.
I completely forgot that it was in singapore so I was exposed to a lot of spoilers until I watched the whole main event. It was a really good event. The main match Max Halloway - Korean Zombie match was really great and it was a dramatic ending. Korean Zombie ended his UFC journey by having two heavy defeats, first with Volkanovski and then with Max, by fighting fearlessly in the halloway fights and even knowing that he would lose. In this event, Max really showed a lot of respect but in the last round Korean Zombie had nothing to do but attack. Max Halloway never shy away from such fights and provided a very hard TKO hit. Surprised many forgot the time difference and not realizing it started so early then completely missed it. Here the early prelims were 5 in the morning. The main event was around 9, so it was understandable many were already out the door beginning their day. Great for Max Holloway saying how hard he was and being graceful in his post fight interview with standing up toe to toe with the Korean Zombie: Max Holloway reflects on KO win against 'The Korean Zombie' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw5UDub_kDkHere was the "long ass walkout song" Max was telling everybody about from the above interview but it was the best in the business: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y02RfA63KmEIt was like being at a rock concert and was a really great thing to witness. Greatness from TKZ even if not getting the outcome he wanted but a career to remember going against the best of the best.

@jakelyson It was how many had thought it was going to end, with a Max win. Thought it was going to go by knock out since I had it not going the distance. I completely missed the second round and after coming back from watching F1 qualifying for abit once a red flag stopped the race returned to the TKZ fight seen the highlights. Sung Jung went down, TWICE. First knocked down then almost choked out. But somehow he survived Holloway onslaught. That was the most exciting part of the fight for me. @cabron The way the Korean Zombie went out was a rememberable for certain and the UFC did him well in the send off: Here is the UFC clip of his retirement and it was quite good: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sdLSW84AW5MPost fight interview: The Korean Zombie Octagon Interview | UFC Singapore - RETIREMENT FIGHThttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4vgb4KgijU

^^ Even for the very first fight of the prelims the crowd are cheering for the Korean fighter SeungWoo Choi after every punch or kick he throws. So you definitely know they will be on TKZ side when he steps up against Max Holloway in about 4 hours from now. This card will be over before it is breakfast time in North American's timezone. The FIBA matches are at around the same time being in the exact same ASEAN countries UTC+08:00.

I do not think that Messi went to MLS to have some sort of difficulty, is there a reason for it? I mean he went there by getting paid a lot from the revenue, which means that he wanted to have fun and make some money.
Of course he did it to make alot of money. He knows he can still play at his peak performance so why not make himself paid higher than another player in football while cementing himself as the goat of the sport. https://www.sportico.com/personalities/athletes/2023/lionel-messi-career-earnings-billion-mls-1234730823And of course wanting to build on his legacy wouldn't hurt either. Aside from making $1.6 billion in earnings over his career so to surpass Ronaldo is for his own achievement.

@notblox1 and @owengtam09 Those are some good observations and predictions for how the main event is going to go. Korean Zombie has said this will be his last fight. But what happens if he wins? Go out on a high note just like Lawler did for his retirement fight? I just don't buy it. There was some talk amongst the podcast crew over at MMAFightingonSBN earlier today and they are guessing if he does pull off the major upset (KZ @5.60 last I checked) then he could continue on and fight Dustin Poirier. That would be a better way to end a career instead of losing on another aging fighter like Max Holloway. As for the fight going the distance, I chose for it to be over before that happens with my fight acca for this weekend in Singapore: Here are the odds and all markets available for this fight night on the 26th: https://sportsbet.io/sports/mma/ufc/ufc-fight-night-holloway-vs-the-korean-zombie/matches

To those who are fans of basketball here, ready your money because the FIBA Basketball World Cup is starting in 1 day and 17 hours. Here is the schedule of the August 25 games.
Angola versus Italy - Playing in Manila, PH. Italy is the favorite in their group. Finland versus Australia - Playing in Okinawa, Japan. The Boomers are the favorite but I think Finland should not be underestimated. Mexico versus Montenegro - Manila, PH. Montenegro is the heavy favorite. Latvia versus Lebanon - Jakarta, Indonesia. Latvia is a heavy favorite too. Dominican Republic versus Philippines Manila, PH. Dominican Republic favorite at 1.19. Well, they now have Karl-Anthony Towns. Germany versus Japan Okinawa, Japan. Germany is at 1.02 odds. Egypt versus Lithuania Manila, PH. I am betting for Lithuania here. Canada versus France Jakarta, Indonesia. Now this one will be a good game. Canada @1.96 and France @1.80
Let's enjoy the games and win some bets.
Let us enjoy day one of the world basketball beginning on the 25th! Put in my bets for the first games of this FIBA tournament earlier today. Have them all as combo bets because the favorites ML are quite low for the odds.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will be opening tomorrow. You can check the schedules on the link provided below: https://www.fiba.basketball/basketballworldcup/2023/gamesI have a question: Does anyone here know if there's a site that will stream all the games? Or is there a subscription similar to the NBA League Pass, so we can easily watch the games we'd like to see? Additionally, I've heard that some sites like Stake offer live streaming on their platform. Do they also cover this event? Looking forward for the tournament to start and seeing the schedule for the opening matches look good for bettors. The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will be opening tomorrow. Arenaplus(local casino) offers live game broadcast on matches as official partner of Fiba in PH. I’m not sure on other games in other country but you can check your local cable provider for a pay per view subscription since our local cable channel offer this kind of subscription.
I place a bet for Philippines as support for tomorrow’s game against Dominican Republic, I knew that KAT is playing with the opponent team tomorrow but I have high hopes that PH will manage to secure him down since we have many pesky players who can defend annoyingly against KAT. I’m also tempted on 4.0 odds. Anyone here with me with this suicide bet? Seen the odds for one of host nations and it does look one sided. Don't know if the odds have risen but they were @5.70x for the Philippines to win against the Dominican Republic when I checked them earlier today. You can see them here before the matches begin: https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/international/fiba-world-championship/matchesAtleast their game is around the same time tomorrow for me to catch it.
