^^
Sutherland was shutdown by Newcastle as Walsall was by Southampton.
So these FA Cup matches were good to both the Sportsbet.io sponsored teams.
Big congratulations to them!

As for the ZED Run Racing i had discussed earlier in the week, I tried my first bet on the platform with the site since I had time being the weekend.

Here is the bet I had placed and the races are finished within minutes:

It was really fun to bet on this virtual horse racing genre and the settlement is just as lightning quick as the races themselves.

You can place a wager on these ZED horse racing markets here:

Perhaps the Warriors are playing against the worse team in the league in Detroit Pistons hence the need for the Steve Kerr to give more playing time to his bench and even non-role players enough minute, but I hope this proves the he should be able count on these guys more going forward, and the game is quite significant a statement for Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce and Pod as I mentioned after their loss last night!!!
They did well tonight. Podziemski, Jackson-Davis, and Saric all contributed pretty well to the win against the Detroit Pistons. There were some bad moments in the fourth quarter where the Pistons got the lead but Steph Curry was so awesome at shooting his specialty 3-point shots and that put a dagger to win the game.
The sad part is that CP3 hurt himself and had to exit the game. I hope it's not that bad. Also, Steve Kerr must think about a plan for how he can calm things down whenever his team is in the lead. Because what happened today is just like what happened with the game against the Nuggets.

Memphis Grizzlies upsets the LA Lakers. This is one of the big news today. Jaren Jackson Jr. stepping up his game making 5/6 in three-point line and 3 blocks. Marcus Smart was also helpful in their offense. 29 points, 8/14 in the 3-point range which is amazing. I think the Grizzlies are getting their right position on who's who. They are still inconsistent but this is a good start for them.

Another upset game is the Orlando Magic winning against the Denver Nuggets although this is understandable as the Nuggets played yesterday against the Warriors so exhaustion is a big part of their loss today. Plus, their bench is not playing well and they need to do something about it.
Was quite surprised to hear that the Nuggets lost to the Magic today.
Haven't been watching much of the NBA ever since the New Years. There has been some good games and with San Antonio's Wembly not getting the ball as much from his teammates which I didn't know was a problem.

Doesn't seem like he is gelling with them as much as most though he had been. But it shows in their record as they have had loss after loss recently.

Will be getting into these games more and more as the year gets back into the swing of things after the holidays are over for them now.

Just been watching he FA Cup which I usually don't since EPL is not on this weekend, so why not.
With Newcastle United a usual fixture of the EPL they are having all the chances late into their match with Sunderland.

Looks like the Sportsbet.io sponsored team will be winning this match being up 2-0 for most of the second half and everytime I check the match they are nearly putting in another so in sealing the game to guarantee the victory.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 06, 2024, 12:29:38 PM
Today we have two NFL games to start off the weekend!

The first one is late afternoon with the Ravens vs Steelers:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/american-football/usa/nfl/baltimore-ravens-v-pittsburgh-steelers-659201b31612c500011bd6f2

Second one is the Colts vs Texans later in the evening:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/american-football/usa/nfl/indianapolis-colts-v-houston-texans-659026ae26cfeb000125239e

Have Baltimore winning this game even though they are underdogs with the better record.

That is the one I was referring too @rohang

You might also remember him as the one with the now famous line from a tweet awhile ago too:

the tweet had since been deleted from which it was posted in 2017

@Reid
Not all projects are just rugpulls like these ones which are obvious to the well informed.
Coinbase is looking to list some which are doing well and have been around for several years now. The ones I have been watching are on the very network which I had mentioned earlier last month. And announced today they will be making a listing of them in the future.
This most certainly will increase the popularity of those projects and the pump in price will also follow.

It is really cool they have ZED racing included for us to bet on this new virtual sport so those not use to betting on this get to dip their toes a bit.
Heard of these around the same time the craze took on with Axie Infinity did and look how those did.
There were individuals who made enough to purchase houses in some countries.

A statement from one of the founders of Matrixport who happened to be a well known person in bitcoin @JihanWu:
"Matrixport's analysts operate independently, expressing their opinions without any influence or interference from management. They are employed for their superior analytical skills compared to mine and other management team. I have only briefly glanced at the title of the report, as have many of you.

Markus, a talented analyst, authored "Crypto Titans" last year, detailing the price history of cryptocurrencies. His book vividly recounts events, sometimes more clearly than my own memories, even in instances where I incurred financial losses.

At the outset of 2023, Matrixport was among the few who accurately predicted Bitcoin's low point and maintained an extremely bullish stance.

As intended, this recent report was prepared for Matrixport's clients. However, its wide spread by the media was not planned by Matrixport and is beyond our control.

As far as I know, Matrixport has been consistently advising our clients to be mindful of risks and leverage, especially given the market's volatility spurred by expectations surrounding Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). This volatility is evident in the perpetual market's high funding fees and the recent decline in crypto-related stocks in the stock market over the past two trading days before today.

Looking at Bitcoin's history and its future prospects, the current volatility and the potential approval uncertainty of a Bitcoin ETF in January 2024 are ultimately of no importance. In the long term, Bitcoin will always prevail. In my opinion, the approval of a Spot ETF by SEC, which will attract fresh investment into Bitcoin, is inevitable. Bitcoin is poised to solidify its position as a store of value and a risk-hedging asset akin to be better than gold."

For those who don't know who this person is. He is the one with Roger Ver condoned Bitcoin SV & Bitcoin Cash:
https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/whale-attack-jihan-wu-of-bitmain-may-unload-his-satoshi-vision-coins

So all in all, this speculation on not having a spot ETF approval in the month of January was just that, speculation without having their analysts doing any fact checking on the situation causing the red on the bitcoin markets when the news was released earlier yesterday.

Took a look after had a balance to test out the Zed horse racing betting icon today.
Here are some screenshots of what it should display for those who are wanting to know what it is all about:
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another attempt at Bitcoin ETF..You knew it was coming once BTC raised above ATH on: January 03, 2024, 11:51:57 PM
Today there was a rather big drop in the bitcoin price in a short amount of time before most of the Western world had to chance to see it happen on the markets.
The cause: Matrixport calling out a rejection by the SEC

Here is the article all the crypto influencers went by when announcing the news on their podcasts:
https://www.theblock.co/post/270125/sec-will-reject-all-bitcoin-spot-etfs-in-january-says-matrixport-analyst

More of an explanation of what actually happened within the SEC and the meetings they had with some of the companies wanting their spot ETF approvals completed:

A shame of all the injuries amassing for the remaining teams trying to make it into the playoff picture such as the Vikings. They are having a quarterback situation and been looking around for one as Cousins is still hurt and probably has reached that age of retirement in the offseason.

The next set of games are on Saturday between those Ravens and the Steelers along with the Texans and the Colts.
For the Houston Texans they were fortunate to have their star rookie quarterback C.J Stroud back in the lineup who destroyed the Tennessee Titans last Sunday on his return.
https://www.houstontexans.com/news/the-dude-is-unbelievable-c-j-stroud-returns-guides-texans-to-blowout-win

Closer the matches are I will be going with a Baltimore and Houston win this first weekend of the year.

Musk has been for many years and the crypto-related community atleast on his X platform had been reminded with the recent starlink launch for mobile phone service:

This keeps the names of some of these cryptocurrency projects in the atmosphere and the same breath for Elon.

435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 03, 2024, 11:18:06 AM
Are you guys watching Nadal vs Thiem right now? The match was quite interesting and both were still solid without anyone having their game broken, I think this first set will be decided by a tiebreak. This is a match that is quite eagerly awaited by tennis fans and Nadal looks very ready for this tournament, he played doubles too but lost in the first round.

And Novak Djokovic, who played in the United Cup, reportedly suffered a wrist injury during training but it has not been confirmed and he managed to beat Jiri Lehecka to make Serbia 1-1 and managed to win through mixed doubles where he did not play and was replaced by young Serbian player Hamad Medjedovic.
That was a fairly strong performance from Nadal particularly in the second set to win that 1-6.
The commentators were in awe of his performance and fitness after being out for so long.

Yea I heard about Djokovic injuring his wrist and then pulling out of the mixed doubles. I wonder
how serious that is going to be. It might be very minor but here we were before Christmas talking
about hoe resilient Novak is.
Djokovic just played and lost to De Minaur so this injury has affected his game as the match was done in straight sets 6-4 for both.

Not sure why he didn't just pull out of playing in this United Cup and not get ready with recovering from this injury for the Australian Open which starts on the 14th of the month (13th for Australia).
That tournament should be more important to him in the long run and surely would benefit more with a good performance from this first major of the year.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: January 02, 2024, 11:59:23 PM
Ravens owned the game from the very start as the Fins didn't have any answer for them and just kept getting their key players injured including Tua by the end of it. Looked like he had a problem with his shoulder.

Alot of players are getting injured as I watched a bit of the 49er's match and McCaffrey had in issue with his calf at the end of one play.
Hopefully he got that touchdown for that betslip morv before he was sidelined.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: January 02, 2024, 11:55:24 PM
Another disappointing 0-0 match which was absolutely boring to watch but there was not anything else unless watching AC Milan in the coppa italia or la liga, which didn't interest me in the slightest to watch.
So very sorry to see that bet of yours @ralle14 not even advice with a goal less game.

Yes @arallmuus I noticed that new icon appear the other day called Zed Run but only hovered over it to see what it was. It had to do with horse racing but didn't know it involved with blockchain betting technology.
Very interesting and will give it a try the next time I do a deposit so to place a wager.

Thanks for the research on exactly what it was!

If Elon were to introduce a payment structure on twitter/X then it more than likely would be a coin he believes would be more marketable to the users on those platforms.
Here is a short video of when he says he does own bitcoin but also dogecoin and ethereum.

@ralle14
Congratulations on your win and it is a good one for the start of a New Year for your sportsbetting record! Grin

Liverpool had no problems dispensing Newcastle ending in a 4-2 victory.
I was going for a draw but the Reds were just too good and showed why they are now solely atop of the EPL table.

@slaman29
Yes you got to keep your eyes wide open so not to miss these promotions.
Or just turn on email notifications so you get a message once they are available and not have any those sent from SB straight to the spam folder always helps. Wink

Today we have Brighton Hove Albion going against West Ham United in the EPL.

Here are the markets:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/premier-league/west-ham-united-v-brighton-hove-albion-6586f2397c9c2400013b2e28

I favor Brighton to win this match even though the Hammers are at home and the favorites according to the bookies but only slightly.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase on the defensive about these bitcoin ordinal centralized meme coins on: January 02, 2024, 12:06:11 PM
@rdbase About the network congestion and high transaction fees. It actually divided Bitcoin supporters because there are still investors who would like to keep Bitcoin blockchain clean and I am actually one who supports that idea.
It sucks when you are a Bitcoin user, what more without those merchandise are being transacted with the use of Bitcoin? How about El Salvador? It will be difficult to say Bitcoin is really a currency if these things are happening. It will be kept as an asset like gold which I don't think is a good thing.

About those fees, here is the recent experiment of the article I bumped into and they are also blaming it to the ordinals which I believe is a fact.
https://decrypt.co/210168/bitcoin-fees-continue-to-surge-thanks-to-ordinal-mania
Quote
Case in point: Decrypt tried to make a transaction using a mobile wallet, but the fee would’ve been 42% of the amount of BTC selected to send.

Quote
Bitinfocharts data shows that it today costs on average $37.58 to make a transaction. The last time it was that high was back in April 2021. Fees have been exploding since May this year ever since interest in Ordinals took off. At one point they reached $31.14 per transaction.

It's too high and it's an eyesore to see this kind of expensive fees.
Believe it or not those investors aren't who you would think they are.
In China there are conferences trying to onboard grandmas into this hype of ordinals.
When I first heard about it right before Chirstmas I thought it was a complete and utter joke.
But then these images surfaced showing another thing from those BONK tokens called WHEE:
