361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: January 22, 2024, 12:12:03 AM

For main fight i like sean to win by KO at 3.6 odds, however i think 3 odds to goto judges isnt bad either

Wow! My thinking was spot on!

Sean dominated early few rounds and was down to 1.3 odds live, however he couldnt finish and lost when it went to judges  Huh    Roll Eyes

Atleast those 3 odds cashed  Grin

Some say it's a robbery though. By the looks of their faces after the fight, it looks obvious Sean won the fight but well it's their decision. But I can tell the face of Dricus is just not someone who looks like he won the fight.

owengtam09 won 3 of his bets. That's a big win considering the odds he chose. Pennington is 2.45, I couldn't begin to think of betting her because I thought this would end in a submission. Congratulation.
The ones who had bets on the other guy always will say it was a robbery.
I haven't had a chance to watch the fight and only knew Dricus won when my bets cashed this morning. Grin

@rohang @owengtam09

Nice going with your spot on predictions and on having them all correct for your betslips!
It feels good when your right for these sort of fights.
I think there was a tally and most of the favorites lost their matches and only 2 out of the 9 home country fighters won their matches.
Which never really happens much in this sport.
Remember when UFC went to Paris, Mexico, Brazil and the UK?
Most of the home town fighters won their matches because that was the sole reason why Dana White put them on the card in the first place.
To represent!

Watching the pre-game show and everybody is confident on those Detroit Lions to win, which worries me.
Once everybody is on a team they seem to lose.

This is the play-offs after all and what rohang said in his earlier post rings true most definitely here.

I still am going with the home teams today for both matches.
Bills are solid at home but Chiefs are killers in the post-season when their backs are to the wall.

Markets if you want to put in a bet at the last second for the Lions and the Bills later on after this one:

Today, we got one of the best daily specials, and it's for the Liverpool vs. Bournemouth match. I already placed a slightly bigger bet on Liverpool's side, as that's how i'm confident about Liverpool winning by at least two goals, assuming Bournemouth can likely score one.

The difference between the regular odds isn't much, around 1.88 via the betbuilder, so it's more like a free odds boost.

Great call there ralle14!!!
Liverpool Jota with his second goal at the 79' minute mark has sealed the deal and that Special for you aswell.
I couldn't see it so post the link where you see them from because I think it is selected at this point.
I can't see the same ones you get then and only can see a market when I click on futures and there is only the BSFL for bitcointalk members markets on who you think will win for that pool.

Have bets on NFL later on today so will talk about that later on that thread with you if you show up on there if my first bet wins. hah! Best of luck to us then mate!

@AprilioMP
Exactly! Over 1.5 goals was the best bet to make for this match and the premature congratulations was well deserved towards @ralle14 !

Liverpool vs bournemouth is 30 mins in and i love the odds for liverpool clean sheet @ 2.3

If we wait till half time probably still get it at 2x which i think is a great play
It looks like this one with hit as well congratulations on who listened to your predictions there rohang mate!

Ufc 297 weigh in happened yesterday and 2 prelim fighters missed weight
-snip- hate it he looks really bad after weight cut tbh
For main fight i like sean to win by KO at 3.6 odds, however i think 3 odds to goto judges isnt bad either
Which other fighter missed weight? Knew one of the prelims did, forgot his name though.

I have Dricus for the K.O @3.60x so will see who gets it! Grin

Noticed the odds have changed drastically for the main card.
DDP is the favorite now to win the title from Strickland. They were pretty much even odds all week.

The co-main isn't that exciting even if the Brazilian tried to make it look like she will make hype to it but failed.
There is only one Lioness and she and Pennington aren't it.

Didn't see that promo but I saw something else related to it, which I took, football related. Same concept, deposit and bet a lot, and get some freebets. I won a $100 Freebet from it, and placed it on my usual suspect. Kind of wish it were split up to multiple bets, so I could go a bit crazy with odds but this still feels doable. Liverpool benefit from improved odds each time AFCON comes along because of the no-Salah factor but we're getting some injured players back, so those on the roster will be eager to keep their place on the starting lineup. Should translate to goals!

There was an injury to Liverpool's striker during yesterday's match against Ghana that will keep him off the field atleast for their match in the African Cup of Nations coming up.
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/soccer/news/mohamed-salah-injury-liverpool-afcon-egypt/6fb72b2c24e87c46e091e40a
Liverpool faces Bournemouth on Sunday and they weren't going to see him for this match anyways.

For that freebet, nice promotion for you then. It must of been personalized just for you by Sportsbet.io and I would of rather had it as the $100 all-in one as it was for you instead of split up into smaller freebets as an option of how to receive the prize.
But that's just me.
As for the pm, just a misunderstanding. Opened them up to you now.

Had a bet on AO and A-league BTTS, could of had a nice payout but Sydney FC blew out New Castle Jets last night 4-0.

With alot of sport matches happening starting today who took the Sports Thrills Unleashed promotion as mentioned above?

With the EPL, NFL, UFC, AO happening in the first real weekend of all them occurring at the same time, there isn't any reason to say "There isn't anything really to bet on!" Wink

Share your betslips and show us why you think yours is a winner this weekend.

For you guys who have been watching DOTA2 & League game play today,
I just noticed the IEM Chengdu Closed qualifiers in China are just starting and they have a match between MiBR vs 9z.
The match can be viewed here live from their official CounterStrike youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFiYRawm2dM
Not really a fan of cs2 recently but its going to be a while before I get something good on dota2 so yeah this will do I guess. Anyway this new season with new rules from Valve totally sucks because there is alot of gap in between these huge dota2 tournaments. iirc last year, those gap were literally filled with online tournaments so there wasnt any long breaks like this season

Its going to be around 2 more weeks before we get to BetBoom Dacha tournament
Not an issue one bit as everybody can love what they want and if CS2 isn't your bag then like DOTA2 when their tournaments arise.

Placed a rather large acca yesterday on those PGL Spring 2024 matches and didn't realize they were bo1 until it was too late.
Team Spirit broke it as all the others were winners.
I also feel MR12 map format is way too short after that loss now. Will be waiting for the next round of bo3 the next time I place a wager on source 2.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: January 19, 2024, 05:00:40 AM
Well the Pre-fight press conference happened and of course there was an incident while Strickland was talking when a fan came up on stage surprising even the security while the person up on stage looked like he had his camera to take an up close and personal photo of the main event fighter.

UFC 297: Pre-Fight Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llEtPoJY-rw

Overall an eventful press conference and the face-offs didn't disappoint for the two either.
Seems like they will behave themselves and Dana told them to keep the fighting in the octagon since that is where they get paid to do it and not outside of it.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: January 18, 2024, 10:22:08 AM
In the last VLOG I posted they did met in the hallway of the hotel they are staying at for the duration of this event.
DDP was with his girlfriend so he kept it quite civil and just shook Strickland's hand and wished him all the best this weekend for the fight. That was it.
Whenever I see Sean on stage, something lights up in his head and he is like a deer in the headlights in where he can't keep his mouth shut long enough to think about what he is saying.
Never have I ever been disgusted by what a fighter has had to say during these pressers but this guy has talked non-stop about subjects nobody wants to hear about.
He has gotten into discussions about transgender, politics within the country the main events are hosted and even verbally attacks reporters that are there to ask him questions. Which he has deemed as too stupid to even respond too, but he has!
What I say is, just do what you are there to do and get out. No need to get on everyone's nerves with these foolish subjects that has nothing to do with the task at hand and that is to knockout or submit your opponent in the octagon. So just do that!
Dricus Du Plessis seems to know how to handle himself very well as he is utterly composed and calm out of the two.
So we will see which attitude favors which in the octagon on Saturday night.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: January 18, 2024, 10:10:05 AM
The stories never stop about Elon and his adventures within the cryptocurrency space.
It is like Wonka in the Cryptofactory.

As this next one will shock even the most experienced trader of the cryptocurrency markets!

Many already know about this tweet put out by musk at the beginning of the year:
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1744528285273321825

As it was news worthy to have it featured on Business Today and the Economic Times publications:
https://www.businesstoday.in/technology/news/story/elon-musk-changes-x-bio-to-chief-troll-officer-new-location-trollheim-412570-2024-01-10
https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/magazines/panache/elon-musk-declares-himself-chief-troll-officer-updates-his-bio-on-x/articleshow/106655111.cms?from=mdr

So someone actually ran with this and created a memecoin called TROLL in lieu of the change in title on his X profile.

"Memecoin trader briefly becomes millionaire off throwaway Elon Musk X gag.
A crypto trader turned $10,000 into $1.3 million with a well-timed purchase of the TROLL token after Elon Musk updated his bio to “Chief Troll Officer” on X."

Beautiful time for this promotion to hit our sights!
With the Australian Open in full swing and having the EFL being played today with that win by @ralle14 (nice prediction on the under by the way!) we can expect it to only get even better with EPL matches to place bets on over the weekend.
Can't wait in trying and get to the top tier so too collect the prize of those tantalizing freebets from Sportsbet.io!

Thanks for the overview of the requirements so on how to get them @owengtam09 !

They will be looking for Taylor Swift in the crowd to get a freebie mini-concert just like in their last game. If they are winning that is.
She will be breaking out in song & dance to cheer up the crowd around her with no cozy box to keep out of the cold winter's air this time Tae Tae! Cheesy

So the matchups are set for this weekend and to see who will advance in the AFC & NFC divisions for the chance to play at the SuperBowl just a month away on February 11th in Las Vegas! Cool

While there is at least few weeks until we will see launch of first F1 cars, today Mclaren released design of their livery. It's difficult to spot difference as they made minor changes. You can see it in link, lazy to upload photo from phone.
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/mclaren-2024-f1-livery-mcl38-launch/10566302/
Probably biggest change will be in Sauber design as they're no longer with Alfa Romeo and Alpha Tauri if they're going to change their name.
Took a quick look and can't tell the difference from last seasons so yeah, they are minor changes. Just more black wrap it seems. Other than that can't see anything they need to change since they ended last season on a high except for the last race.
The ones with the name changes must have their livery design altered the most so to fit with team specifications.
So all we can do is to wait and see what comes from each team released from day-to-day until start of race day.

@owengtam09
Thank you for the updates on the F1 Academy teams and their drivers so far. They did make an impression last season for the F1 racing fans for a change if Red Bull are totally dominant this season as well.
Of course all F1 teams will make official announcements of their new cars even if they do have minor changes.
It is a tradition in the sport afterall and common courtesy to show what you got!

So we are off to the next UFC and it is just explosive since they had been building it up where it climaxed at the last event with these two throwing down in the crowd.
I still cant adapt to the fact that Sean Strickland is the new middleweight champion after beating Israel Adesanya, but I dont think he is going to keep the belt for long.
If Dricus Du Plessis dont take it away from him this weekend someone else will do it, maybe Adesanya in rematch.
He is a good fighter but I was never a big fan of him.
Neither can I.
That championship bout against Israel seems like a vivid dream and to this day hasn't completely sunk in quite yet. But then again, here we are!
He is going against DDP and from accounts on all the rampant MMA youtubers are contending to say whomever wins will face Adesanya in UFC 300.
Either way Dana gets a fight which he can hype up bigger than a McGregor fight. But not as big as a Khabib comeback to the octagon. Who are we kidding, that would be massive as Zlatan put on his socials the other day with a photo with the retired owner of Eagle MMA fighter.

But back to Strickland, this youtuber of his has mentioned he is a real life GTA character:
