Again. Stop smoking MSM pole. South Korea has not banned bitcoin trading. They seem to not read all the title . "icos-magin-trading" .. .. Meaning that even trading of ico's tokens is still allowed, just not leveraged, unfair, crazy margin trading. They should learn to read. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Guys, is hodl a paradox? When are we supposed to enjoy our riches? I've never had riches before. Should I be living in a richly place now? I've never lived in a richly place before.
I just don't know.
Some time back, I bought my wife an Instant Pot (fancy pressure cooker) with Bitcoin at a 25% discount via Amazon/Purse.io. Told her by using Bitcoin (which was already way up for me), it was the cheapest Instant Pot money could buy. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Then Bitcoin quintupled. Now she looks at the Instant Pot and says, "Most expensive fucking Instant Pot money could buy." ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) And sits there scheming over all the things she could have bought HODLing instead. So yes. HODL is a paradox. Yes indeed. Nevermind I bought all the dips on the way up. Nevermind I can retire early now. That fucking Instant Pot will always be my HODL reminder. "Yes honey, it's a lovely house, but we could have bought a fucking castle, you idiot!"this hodl philosophy will really hurt bitcoin one day. this could end in some kind of deflation spiral, nobody uses bitcoin to buy stuff because stuff will be much cheaper tomorrow. to solve this hodl problem we need a new kind of service. A combination of payment and exchange service. with this service it should be possible to pay for something in bitcoin and also instantly exchange the same amount of fiat back to bitcoin - payhodl.com! Sir.. that is where you are wrong about bitcoin! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) When the world will dump all its resources into bitcoin, the only way to make bitcoin rise again will be to create economic growth. So basically bitcoin will grow as much as there will be new people, new processed raw resources into higher value items with a demand. So when it will reach its peak it will just be very stable, the trading will have a bit of volatility, but the real growth will be lets say as an example 5-10% per year as the GDP growth of humanity / planet earth / solar system...etc. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

The last 10 floor to floor Bitcoin doublings since Nov 2012. Average doubling time: 6 months Shortest doubling time: 1 month ($20 to $40) Longest doubling time: 18 months ($80 to $160) The Mt Gox bubble is clearly disruptive to trend. Since recovery, doubling times have only accelerated. This kind of hyperbolic growth is typical of a technological singularity. Think color tv, mobile phones, or the Internet. At this scale, it's really hard to see the recent hardfork or China FUD having much of an impact at all. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2203360.0![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F8CW7IQQ.png&t=663&c=ZdztqOoL7D0YDQ) This feels very f'-ing fancy! .. Also.. I don't know if you know this.. But your chart predicts 10500$+ în 3-4 months. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Let's project! If we assume an average doubling rate of 6 months, then the price floor should remain above: $5120: Jan 2018 $10,240: July 2018 $20,480: Jan 2019 $40,960: July 2019 $81,920: Jan 2020 We may touch $10,000 in 3 or 4 months as an ATH, but it may take another couple months to form a new floor. I wouldn't be surprised if doubling rates slowed down to maybe a year+ after $10,000, though. It's mind-boggling and eye-watering to conceive it's even possible. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) But this long-term doubling trend has so far survived all kinds of FUD, hacks, and Bitcoin obituaries and only appears to be gaining resilience as adoption increases. It's funny, I just can't see it doubling into this heights so soon. But then again .. I didn't think we would reach 4000 (or even scratch 5000) 3-4 months ago. The last square is wrong! His prediction is very conservative. But what will happen is exactly like on Square No. 3!The new ATH will probably be between 30 Sept < > 2-3 Oct. And the $10.000$ will be probably around Christmas! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Not sure what is really up with gold and silver, but they normally trade in inverse to US Treasury yield and US Tsy 10yr/ 5yr/ 2yr all got obliterated yesterday. There is serious chart breakdown and 2 yr tsy just hit the lowest (highest yield) since 2008~2009! So it's either this new US tax cut plan or Trumpflation or Fed upcoming rate hike or the temp jump in inflation from the multiple hurricanes hit in the US, that's prompting the selloff in tsy and hence precious metal. What goes down, must always come up! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) It makes me feel a bit confident about metals as well, but the weird thing is that the investment procedure and bureaucracy is still a pain in the a$$. So for now I guess is a "No! Ty!" for me. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I believe BTC price will follow a Gaussian curve projection. At least till the end of this year.
provide link and or explanation, please. GiiGii... please... don't bother with trolls. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) They feel they are left out, left behind, abandoned like kittens! The best solution is to put them in a bag and throw them in a deep river! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) "Gaussian curve projection", what a bell end ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The idea that bitcoin could have an average price with a beginning and an end, sounds like science fiction. To be honest I think someone will try to collect bitcoin and hodle it for eternity like stamps or collecting old coins in a vintage handcrafted album. The idea of having bitcoin devalued, would pertain two scenarios: a) extinction of the human race; b) something better will come up and will make people hodling bitcoin even more wealthy than they already are. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) .. I would say "b)" would be the obvious choice! ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Had to sell a bit to cover Q3 taxes and equipment. I hate selling on a dip, drat....
A sign of being overly invested.. in other words, you do not have your expenses projected out on a long enough timeline in order to provide you a large enough float.. whether that float needs to be $1k or $10k or $20k is something for you to determine ( but seems like you don't quite have it down, yet). I tend to project my expenses out a minimum of 6 months and frequently into the 18months or more timeline... so a lillie dip like this (and only for about 2 weeks) has not been going on long enough to cause anything close to cash flow pressures - Sure, if it goes on for 6 months or it goes down another 50%, then that could be another story for me, and I would want to start adjusting now for what could happen 6 months from now so I am not selling at the bottom, if that were the case. hello JayJuanGee, How do you know it will go down for 6 months or another 50%, before such event happens? I have what I hope is a float of at least 4-6 years, which seems reasonable since we were in a prolonged bear market after 2013 and we should assume that history will repeat... How do you avoid forced sales with only 6-18 months of float, based on the 2014-2016 bear market? By the way I wish I could be confident about holding less float in fiat, but just a correction of a couple of weeks messes with my head since I decided to resign from my regular job/steady income since I became a high net-worth bitcoiner. Kid... run! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ... before JJG bullsh!ts you to death with a book written by him as thick as the bible! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) .. nvm... too late! He already wrote a page worth of your time of bs.! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) The price is actually predictable.. if you check a few pages ago... there was a guy telling a week in advance that Fibonacci predicted it should go to ~3800$. And that is exactly what happened. And from my understanding, it was the last dip/correction. Now we wait for pwmp! *edit(0): Fibonacci was a mathematician that lived 800-900 years ago! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
