13741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does it cost me a dollar to send 1 Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2014, 04:12:50 PM

Bitcoin-QT (software) to Android Bitcoin wallet (software) : 0,0001 to 0,0002 BTC of fee MAX !

your online wallet ... is the problem (it's a commercial service).
when i transfer from virwox to my bitcoin-QT, the fee is 0,002 BTC.
13742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would a fake transaction look like? on: January 25, 2014, 12:05:53 AM
I've heard it's possible to pretend to send bitcoins so it shows up on the blockchain as unconfirmed.

that why the rule of 6 confirmations ... is a rule.
in less than 1h30min now (from 0,2 BTC to 10BTC...)

Since 24/01/14, the network react strange ... (confirmation is more like "4 in less 10min" after 1h of waiting time with 0 confirmations).
But the all 6 confirmations time remainly the same. Cool
13743  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin ready to new biggest burst according to financial experts!! read on: January 24, 2014, 09:53:37 PM

13744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you send Bitcoin from an iPhone? on: January 24, 2014, 09:39:56 PM
smartphone is android (and winphone/palm at the beginning).
so ... you have this : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet

and you ALWAYS use QR-code with 'modern' phone... but you can read bitcoin adress, too (to transfer to bitcoin-QT on desktop computer).

13746  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is it still possible to solo mine a block? on: January 24, 2014, 02:14:35 PM
My question is this: Is it theoretically possible, even if extremely unlikely, that a setup like this can solve a block?

No ... even with my 12GH/s, i don't have solve a block since it has started.
I push 50% of time on pool and 50% on solo mining (not to find but to help transaction fluidity).
13747  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5 Million dollar mining rig on: January 24, 2014, 02:12:09 PM
Grin and then, the network adapt the difficulty ...  Cheesy
13748  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Stale shares on pool equal to pool's difficulty setting on: January 24, 2014, 02:03:35 PM
change pool for 7 days and compare ... like http://mining.bitcoin.cz/ for example.
staled share only append when new block is created by bitcoin network (only 1 or never every block create for me on a 12GH/s).

note : i have a 10-11 difficulty for my 12GH/s ... on slush pool.
you have a problem with your 180GH/s and 380 difficulty  Shocked
13749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you send Bitcoin from an iPhone? on: January 24, 2014, 07:56:46 AM

Wait ... the member habe been stolen by the "bank wire transfer" and you give good point to the bank fraund protection ?!?
No ... bitcoin is the only (actual) choice to received money (real) with no compromised about chargeback.

When people understand this : it will be a new world.

13752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decreasing rewards on: January 22, 2014, 09:50:06 PM
I'm interested in the design choices and the motives behind them.

Save the world.

From the idiocraty of bank strategies.
13753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decreasing rewards on: January 22, 2014, 05:15:37 PM
Why was Bitcoin designed in such a way that the rewards from mining decrease over time?

Because mining is not the way to get rich ...  Grin
"Mining" is the way to store and validate transactions !
13754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: NEWBIE TO BITCOIN ... URGENT AND VERY IMPORTANT - IMMEDIATE HELP! on: January 21, 2014, 08:05:04 PM
You can't run Bitcoin-QT from a "official" link (on the desktop, for example) ... when you don't use the same system or directory.
You must create a "commun" shortcut for all win8 and win7 to indicate a path for the blockcahin folder.

I do this.

I have the blockchain folder in a drive, and the bitcoin folder in a other.
the 2 folders is NOT on the system partition.
13755  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Prepaid Credit Card on: January 21, 2014, 03:45:54 PM
the problem ... is not the fee of BTC.
but the fee of EACH item that you bid with this card.

That why Paypal Card is useless
That why Neteller Card is useless

13756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How can I decide how many Bitcoins to transfer when using my private key? on: January 21, 2014, 03:39:43 PM
when using my private key?

Bitcoin-QT (and bitcoin wallet on android device) don't allow to play with private key ... so ... you talk about bitadress.org ?
