I think Upamecano's red card was really unnecessary and amateurish. I mean there was no reason for leaving his team with 10 players at the beginning of the match. He knew that it was a challenge that deserved red card but he still did it anyway. After this incident Bayern Munich started to give big openings to their opponent in defense of course. Gladbach attackers were so willing to take advantage of them. All of the goals came due to big spaces in the defense area.

Bayern Munich's second goal came due to a mistake in Gladbach defense which gave them hope. But there wasn't much time left for a comeback I'm afraid.

Chelsea are still in a bad condition now. I mean they are still unable to make some improvements in their form. There are some positive things in their attacking side but this still doesn't help them win a match. They got a loss against Dortmund the last time as you know despite their playing an effective attacking game. They just wasted two absolute goal chances during the match. They need to start from somewhere for maintaining a winning streak and they had better be fast.

We have already got past the half of the season. Their chance of qualifying for any European tournament is dimishing day by day. Their next matchup is against Southampton in Stamford Bridge. I see this as a must-win match for Chelsea. Southampton are the worst team on paper as they are at the last position.

Milan have a Monza match ahead in the league. Normally it should be a free win for Milan but they are still not a credible team on one hand. Their victory against Tottenham should be some boost to their morale. But there are still visible weaknesses especially in their defending style. Plus they need to be more productive in the attacking line. They are not one of the scorer teams of the league currently. Actually they have just the attackers to score multiple goals in a match.

I think it should be due to having some mental issues. The players are still having issues with concentrating on their match throughout it. Especially their defenders are making simple mistakes just because of that. I hope we can see them beating Monza. Monza have been unbeatable for weeks hence it might be difficult for Milan to do this job.

PSG are returning to the Ligue 1 as wounded after the loss in the Champions League. Maybe this can demoralize the players a little but I still believe in them to focus on the match versus Lille in two days. It is another match in Parc des Princes and I think they will see this one as a match to make up for the recent loss. It wouldn't still be enough for making up for it fully though as long as they don't beat Bayern Munich in the second leg. But at least winning this one would help them secure the gap with Marseille.

Lille have made a big progress after a bad start to the season. They are coming here with a two-match winning streak as well. But I still don't see a Lille that is even near their level in the season they made it to the league title. I think PSG will play with at least two players in the trio in this and beat them nicely.

To tell the truth I can't say Barcelona were bad against Manchester United. They also found so many goal opportunities to score and they were even the first team to score in the match. But the answers came too quick by Manchester United later on. Rashford's goal really deserved appreciation. Because he actually lost a good angle to score but he managed to do it anyway. The second goal was unlucky for Barcelona as Kounde targeted his own goal while trying to clear the ball.

Raphinha still saved a 2-2 result for his team anyway and I think there is nothing ended yet. I know how much hard Barcelona's work will be in Old Trafford. But they need to stay stronger there to have a chance for next stage.

I won't be surprised if see Galtier being sacked at the end of the season. I mean it will depend on whether they will say goodbye to the Champions League early or not. But it looks like they are quite likely to experience this sadness in this stage already. Losing the match in France can turn to a nightmare for them in the Allianz Arena. But if PSG have Mbappe, Messi and Neymar all on the field from the beginning of the second leg to the end then there is still hope for them.

Germans wouldn't give up that easy for sure. They would like to avenge their elimination by PSG in the past as well. But Galtier had better prepare with a better strategy next time. Otherwise I don't expect to see him in his seat in the team by next season.

Next week the most striking matchup seems to be like Liverpool v Real Madrid. Liverpool are the favourite side for taking the victory here but I wouldn't trust them fully now. Because they are still a quite unbalanced team. I must admit that there were positive things in the match against Everton. It has been a long time since we saw them that much effective in scoring goals. But there is a big question mark about whether they can maintain this effort against Real Madrid as well.

The match is in Anfield maybe but it doesn't matter where it is played in this kind of big matches actually. Real Madrid are much different in the Champions League which is why they have dominated the tournament most of the time. Considering Liverpool's current condition I wouldn't be surprised to see a draw at the end of this leg.

I think Barcelona's performance against Manchester United today was a proof of how much more they care about the La Liga title compared to the Europa League one.

Because they had really serious issues about having the control in their hands during the match. This just helped Manchester United come more to their goal and the final result was 2-2. With this performance level I don't have much faith in Barcelona to eliminate them. Maybe nothing has finished but their job is going to be very difficult in Old Trafford. Manchester United defeated Manchester City there and they can do it against Barcelona as well I believe. Actually it would be nice for Barcelona to focus on not only the La Liga because the Europa League also would be helpful for improving their financial status more.

I think Juventus' time will come in the future but it is really difficult to tell when for now. First they will need to get rid of the current problems about the team. If they don't get another punishment then they should consider themselves lucky for now. It seems really difficult for them to even qualify for the Europa Conference League in this situation. A gap of ten points is not easy to close for them. In addition to that there are some other teams between as well.

Juventus should just do their best no matter what in this season and think of what they can do in the next one. Besides they can still focus on the Europa League as much as possible. Who knows maybe they can win the title there and secure a ticket to the Champions League group stage.

Dortmund are definitely underestimated right now. They are in a distance of only three points to Bayern Munich in the standings. Their form is really difficult to overlook right now. They have been on a winning streak for many weeks. Maybe they don't have a very strong defense line but they are still able to compensate for it thanks to their scoring effort. Bayern Munich are quite inconsistent in this season. They are like trying to gift the championship to some other team.

I think Dortmund have quite a big opportunity ahead to take advantage of. This can be the season Bayern Munich's title streak finishes. I know that Dortmund's vision is totally different but I hope they won't start being complacent and lose their title chance.

The Sampdoria match was a really unlucky one for Inter to tell the truth. They played a very dominant game but couldn't score the winning goal still. But sometimes big teams are experiencing such situations. It is very normal unless it starts to happen frequently. I expect Inter to make up for that point loss by beating Udinese up next. It is in Giuseppe Meazza and Udinese are quite out-of-form now. I wonder if Inzaghi will have a Martinez - Lukaku duo on the front again. I would rather go on with a Dzeko - Martinez duo instead.

I think Inter will also be in a safe distance with the other teams after a point. They have such potential as long as they keep their attacking performance high.

I think Atletico Madrid are still not in a safe situation in the standings now. I mean their priority must be to finish the season in top four I assume. But their position is under the threat of Betis especially. Because the gap is only four points and Betis are a really decent team in the league. This scenario was seen in the previous season also but Betis missed their chance of making it to the fourth position by a few points. They wouldn't like to repeat the same mistake.

Betis are dealing with an inconsistency problem recently which can be really dangerous for them. Considering Atletico Madrid's good form recently Betis need to do much better not to fall behind too much.

Inter artık şampiyonluğa gidemeyeceğini iyi bildiği için biraz daha kafası rahat bir şekilde oynuyor. Aslında Sampdoria'ya karşı çok sağlam bir ofansif oyun sergilediler ama yine de bir gol bile atamadılar. Lukaku'nun elinde bir şans vardı ama onu da kullanamadı. Normalde böyle maçlarda mutlaka gol atmasını beklediğimiz bir oyuncuydu. Uzun dönem sakatlık sonrası ve aslında özellikle Chelsea'ye gitmesinin ardından performansında ciddi bir düşüş gerçekleşti.

Lukaku'nun ben artık eski formuna dönebileceğini pek sanmıyorum. Belki de önümüzdeki sezon onu farklı bir takımda izleriz.

These days Arsenal have started to make simple point losses in the English Premier League. They have Manchester City right behind them by only three points and Manchester United are also in a distance of five points. This means that they will need to focus on the Premier League even more than before. Because their main goal in this season is to become the champions in their league eventually. I wonder if this would cause them to rotate their squad in the Europa League a little as well.

There is still much time for their turn in the Europa League though. But it will depend on their situation in the Premier League as I said.

There is a rumour going around such as Chelsea would be able to sign Joao Felix permanenty on a 100 million-euro deal. Atletico Madrid might be willing to let him go for such amount now. However I don't expect Chelsea to rush anything about this deal. First they need to see what Felix will do in the rest of the season then they can make a decision. It looks like Simeone is really not able to build a good relationship with Felix in the team so he wants to see him leaving permanently.

We don't even know if Simeone himself will be permanent in the team. Because Atletico Madrid are having even a worse season now and I think they need a big change.

I think there is no reason for sacking Klopp now. Liverpool shouldn't make the same mistake Chelsea made. Chelsea sacked Tuchel for some other reason and there is still no change in the team since Potter's arrival. We haven't watched them in the Champions League too much yet. But the Premier League is the most important tournament for them actually. I won't even be surpised if Potter also gets sacked at the end of the season unless Chelsea perform a miracle and make it to top 4.

Anyway coming back to Liverpool, I don't think this is Klopp's fault at all. In the end Liverpool have been continuing with him for many years and there has been a great chemistry between. However there are some in-team problems as it seems and the players need to find a solution for this.

I see that Milan's winning odd is dropping by a little in time. They are getting more favourite against Tottenham in San Siro. It is actually interesting while Milan aren't having good days either. They won their last match and it should be some morale for them of course. But still it might not be enough for them. Because they still have visible issues in defense. Pioli isn't trying as hard as needed to solve these issues seemingly. Because Torino would have scored even more than one goal if they were more capable at finishing.

Tottenham are no good at defending either recently - especially after that embarrassing 4-1 loss against Leicester. But Tottenham's attackers are better than Milan's in general. I think the key players for these teams are Leao and Kane. Let's see which one will make difference.
