1381  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: January 21, 2018, 08:46:38 AM
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,

And tell me, why it wouldn't be? Bitcoin is safe as long as you use it with good purposes, and as long as you are not doing some criminal activities with it.

Bitcoin is money, the same use that you are giving to your US dollars, can be handled with bitcoin too..

i don't think that bitcoin will be safe just because you are not doing a crime? risks such as price ups and downs, hackers, etc will definitely exist even if you commit illegal transactions or something like that, i think bitcoin will be safe from theft if you can secure your wallet with like 2fa or such, and safe for investment if you know about bitcoin market, with it the risk of loss can be minimized
1382  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to banks? on: January 18, 2018, 03:26:09 PM
Since banks profit from fees and blockchain will kill fees, my guess is banks will be negatively impacted.
Some banks are already stepping into the blockchain world.
But blockchain will not bring back the profits as otherwise.
Any thoughts?
Apologies if this is not the right place to discuss.
Thanks in advance.
Yes your thought that you are discuss is so true because nowadays  banks is not already safer than before. We can also defined banks  as not safe this time because thier are too many scenarios that  it falls it secures so that many money loses. Bitcoin investments and others or such as electronic banks is safer than banks. So maybe i guese that banks can be lose its value because of this.
that is not true, I myself use the bank from the government for a long time and I have never experienced any loss, I keep most of my money in the bank and there is never a problem, the security in the bank is also getting better nowadays, and besides fee is not a problem if the transaction interbank happens very quickly / instant, I do not think that the bank has a complicated problem, in fact we are all still dependent on the bank
1383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: January 18, 2018, 03:19:24 PM
People will always spend money either its fiat cash or cryptocurrency like bitcoin. Hypothetically speaking, it ever no one spends bitcoin, the most probable scenario is that, its value will reach a certain point of equilibrium and then stops. It will become stable and stagnant until someone uses it again. But again, its quite impossible to happen.
Well I think first of all its not possible to not spend bitcoin because it’s a digital currency and it’s here to use and that’s why everyone are doing and I also using my bitcoin for my daily expanse such as buying food and using for paying bills and also its going to use for investment and for daily trade also so it’s not possible for bitcoin to stay remain and no one will use so I think world need bitcoin for use and countries also want that bitcoin must be contribute in their economy.
yeah of course it's impossible because bitcoins are created as a currency and commodity, users will definitely spend whatever reason they have like buying altcoins, buying goods, buying stocks, gambling, and so on, that is including spending bitcoins mate, and spending will always happen in the bitcoin world, as long as there is a certain user transaction and spending will always happen
1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing all my savings! on: January 18, 2018, 12:58:57 PM
Hello guys! I am planning on investing all my savings (12500$) in cryptocurrency, so I would really like to hear your opinion. My current plan is to split it in to 3 :
-50% bitcoin.
-25% ethereum.
-25% litecoin.

I am investing the money at the next dip.
Please post your opinion guys.

Edit: I should mention that this is for a longtherm hold, about 5-10 years

Sorry for my bad english, but I am better reading it than writing it.. :p

I do not recommend to invest all of your savings because if those ccoims that you invested in will fall what will happen to you. And if you invest them it is hard to get them immediately if uou needed a money and ut has a fees so it will be a reduce to you also. But they way you divide the percentage is good for me because bitcoins are still the prime so they will be the highest percentage but i want to replace litecoins by ripple
true what you that using all your money for investment is a bad idea, because whenever that risk can happen, and it is true that it is difficult to take your money immediately if you need quick funds to pay for your needs for example, because you should see the coin price first before convert your coin, moreover you do not have a back up plan when the price coin down, your plan is clearly very risky, I do not think use 100% of your money for investment, use a few percent for your savings
1385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: January 18, 2018, 12:53:36 PM
My trading strategy is just simple
Buy as much as you can if the price is down because it will comeback at the time
Sell as much as you have when the price is up and you will get profit
I think
I think trading takes more techniques and skills than that, I know it is the basic strategy of a trade, buy when prices go down and sell when prices go up. but it takes a special skill and special knowledge how to see the true price is cheap / price stop to down and the right time to buy, it needs good analysis mate, keep improving and hone your knowledge and skills, so your trading strategy becomes more powerful
1386  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Bloodbath.. on: January 17, 2018, 03:33:28 AM
Well, it seems that lot of people believe that a currency can grow forever... of course not.
Currencies - look at forex - go up and down. That's all
It just due to SoKor and China banning, both Cpunyry always finds a way to buy at low price and it's quite effective, so we just need to follow them on buying mpre and hold till they goes to the moon again.
there are many problems currently on bitcoin, some countries seem to follow china's footsteps to ban bitcoin, but i think this mess and chaos will happen transiently, i'm sure some days ahead the market situation will return to normal and many people will re-buy bitcoin and price will recover, I think the current price that is bloody is an opportunity for you to buy bitcoin at a cheap price
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Denarius [DNR] - NEW "Tribus" PoW Algo >> PoW/PoS Hybrid >> Satoshi Core on: January 17, 2018, 03:20:57 AM
There's so many countries banning bitcoin now that it affected all alt cryptos as well. wonder when it will actually recover.

It is just the next in turn FUD that is coming from China. They just declared that access to centralized exchanges will be banned from China. This lead to BTC collapse and as you can see all of the alts are following it badly...
not only from China but the Indonesian government also prohibits use of bitcoin, i dont know it's just rumors or issues, but bitcoin prices really go down very deeply now, and affect to the price of many altcoin, but you can see the price of denarius to btc is still calm and stable and changes price are not too extreme like many other altcoins
1388  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum after 5 years? on: January 17, 2018, 03:12:56 AM
What is most profitable to invest for 5 years ?BT or ETH
I think better bitcoin because ETH until whenever can not compete with bitcoin, if you want to invest in the long term I have a suggestion you try to join here www.daneel.io because this site works with IMB a network in the world.
I agree with you. Bitcoin is the most popular currency of the world and it is not only 2017 that give such a high price to bitcoin. You will see that in the coming year more and more people will invest in bitcoin and the price will grow more and till the end of the year it will cross 50k. While Ethereum is far behind. It will take a long time to come up and give a huge profit to its investors.
if you look at the price of Etherum a few days ago that exceeds $1k in a short time I think you can see that the development of ethereum is faster than bitcoin development a few years ago, but it can not be a reference that ethereum is better than bitcoin, because in fact bitcoin has a very large user compared to ethereum, because it is certain that ethereum users are bitcoin users as well, but bitcoin users do not necessarily use ethereum
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 17, 2018, 03:06:51 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
I do prefer holdings of gold over bitcoin because firstly, gold is way more popular than bitcoin and has way more users than bitcoin so it is more in demand. Secondly, people trust gold whereas don’t trust bitcoin. Then gold is a stable form of currency and its value does not fluctuate whereas bitcoin is not a stable currency and its value fluctuate a lot. Gold also has a physical entity whereas bitcoin is just a digital form of currency. Then one does not need internet for transactions of gold whereas one does need internet for transactions of bitcoin.
I think your choice is reasonable because bitcoin is not so well known yet, there are still many people who do not believe and have not used bitcoin, let alone bitcoin is very fluctuating would be very risky for someone who does not understand about cryptocurrency market, so do not be surprised if many people still choose gold for their long-term investment because it is safer because it is guaranteed with everyone already know about gold since thousands of years ago
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: January 16, 2018, 06:50:14 AM
if people relax they will lost them chance. if you pay 2,000$ for bitcoin at  2017 you will earn extra 10,000$ this years.
stop relaxing and buy more of bitcoins

He did not say that when you relaxed you would no longer do anything. There are many newbies here in bitcoin also in trading. He just used the word "relax" because some of newbie here there always says that its too late when the price of bitcoin too high and when the price getting low they afraid and they say "will bitcoin die?" This is his advice to encourage all newbies to wait and be patient because in the next days, months and years the price of bitcoin will continue rising.
yeah that's happening nowadays a lot of newbie say bitcoin will go down and die because they panic when the price goes down, they panic because they have never felt it before, it also happened to me a few years ago when I was still an early user but what they have to think is they should know that the price of the bitcoin is fluctuating, so the price up and down is reasonable, let alone down very deeply it's a natural thing to happen in bitcoin market, dont need to panic, stay calm and be patient
1391  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: January 16, 2018, 06:36:40 AM
According to my friend preev.com, as of press time, the value of Bitcoin is standing at $2,351. Though I would say that this still considered as a feat, some are worried because it almost reached $2,800 again after the correction that happened days ago.

I have read that the decline can partly be contributed to newcomers especially neophyte traders who still have to be well-versed on the market...and can easily be ignited to do panic selling once they can fell that anything can be wrong.

Against this backdrop...are you holding on to your Bitcoin or transferring it into another digital currency?
I recently with bitcoin, but I can say one thing, I never listen to anyone. Let others panic, I keep my bitcoin and do not worry about the consequences. I know that bitcoin will rise more than once in price.
it would be better, do not listen to the issues and speculation from others people, because it might just mislead you and make you panic, when chaotic market situation happen like today, better stay calm do not follow the panic that happened, to choose between holding, buy again, or sell better use your own calculations, and do not hesitate to ask the expert trader for reference only, that what i do when bitcoin falling
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 16, 2018, 06:21:46 AM
It's good to buy with bitcoin today but don't put all your money in bitcoin. May I suggest 50% on bitcoin and 50% altcoins, like ethereum, litecoin and neo. Investing has synchronous risky and also volatile like roller coaster rides.
bitcoin a few days have decreased the price and has not happened pump yet, I think not a bad idea to add bitcoin in your investment list, besides that many altcoin also experience decrease in price so there will be many coin pump next few days but still do research first where coin is very possible to pump in the near future, for me i think XRP and DGB, many traders on twitter talk about that two coins
1393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now makes me feel a bit worried. on: January 16, 2018, 06:12:39 AM
Quotes are in decline for many coins now. This situation makes me a little nervous, what should I do now?

All you need to do is have a ton of patience. Weak hands always fail. We are currently experiencing a massive price correction. After this, expect that there will be upcoming pumps. This are just a common scenarios in the crypto world. Hodl is the key for huge profit. Believe in your coins.
I think it's normal when price correction happens in the market, because the price of some time ago is really crazy, I know you must be frightened and panicked, seeing almost all cryptocurrency markets bleeding right now, but the key is to be patient, you have to change your mindset that the current price change is a natural thing, rest assured that the price will definitely return to normal, even much higher, with that I'm sure you will not panic again
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have only 200€ to invest on: January 16, 2018, 06:02:47 AM
Hello Im new on this forum, can you help me to choose good coin for me? I have only 200€ to spend, I was thinking about ETH/LTC but is it worth when I have only 200? Or should I try my luck with something cheap.

I advise you to search good altcoins cheaper than 1$ with low supply. They have the potential to be multiplied many times in short period counter to high price altcoins.
agree I think if your capital is small, it would be better if you are looking for altcoin that has a low price, if you buy altcoin at an expensive price like eth the profit you will get will not be so big, because you only buy a little eth with $200, better look for altcoins that have low prices, there are many potential coins that still have low prices, such as doge, nxt, xrp, etc, even if the coin's price goes up a few percent you can make big profits
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no role in real world on: January 15, 2018, 01:46:04 PM
You can spend bitcoin at many places. You just have to look. How well have you actually looked? Not all places take bitcoin directly so look out for payment processors in which accept bitcoin as a payment option. I use bitcoin to buy things all the time.
i think for now bitcoin only plays a big role as a lucrative investment, not some people but many people in the world even millions of people who are already using bitcoin benefit and change their lives for the better, it proves that bitcoin plays a role in real life but only in investments only, i have not seen bitcoin play an important role for currency, because you know that there are many problems using bitcoin as a major transaction such as high fees, few that accept bitcoins, others
1396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage on: January 15, 2018, 01:37:24 PM
I have seen an Arbitrage opportunity on a few occasions between different exchanges but almost every time one or the other exchange
has had the wallet in maintenance mode so I was unable to take advantage.
The last one was last week with SIA between Bittrex and Poloniex but again wallets were not useable.
If you can take advantage of the situation while making a gain its a great tool to keep an eye on,
but you would have to consider trading and transfer fees!

i think the tips is do not to arbitrage on a big exchange mate, because when you see the difference in price at a certain altcoin price, maybe within minutes the arbitrage opportunity is already taken by someone else because marketcap and user is large, look for small exchanges, there are many altcoins there and lots of striking price differences between small exchange sites with one another, I often utilize it
1397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss in trading on: January 15, 2018, 01:30:41 PM
The loss is expected in trading. Successful Traders always experience loss, but they always manage how to get things right by not panicking and staying calm in every situation.
Yes patience is the very first key in trading. We should not always think of making profit in the shortest time.Monitor first the price movement before jumping into conclusion. It's never an easy thing to trade just because you have lot of coins onhand, learn to weigh things closely, and when you already see the price has gone so far from the day you bought it,then for sure it's the right time to sell.Trading really needs most of your time than any other activity here.
yes i know patience is the key, but when you have a lot of coin in your hand and the price of the coin is really far down from your previous purchase of course that patience will turn into fear and panic, i think the first thing to do is how to order that we do not panic when the price goes down even though you have a lot of coin in your hands, and I've tried some ways like positive thinking, patience, etc but I'm still scared and panicked because sometimes the market situation and the issue make it all messed up, and then I cut lose and get the loss,
1398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Trade - Which is Better? on: January 15, 2018, 01:20:48 PM
If you are holding, all you do is look at the charts from day to day and wait for the price to go up.
Whereas if you trade, you do not have to wait for the price to rise for so much, because basically trading is looking for profit every day.
But, both equally profitable. No need to fear to hold or trade. Between the two have their own risks and advantages.
i think it will depend on the ability that you have, i will not trade if i do not have more knowledge in it, because it will only be a disadvantage if you do not have more skills, trade must be people who understand and proficient, you can not complain your luck in the trade mate, because it is very possible you choose the wrong choice to buy an altcoin or determine between selling or buying, I think it depends on yourself to determine it
1399  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: January 14, 2018, 09:19:03 AM
In addition to reducing unemployment bitcoin can also be an alternative to find additional money for those who already work
It is true that bitcoin can reduce unemployment but for those who are lucky, because to use bitcoin in need of technology tools and supported by internet network because not everyone has it all. and bitcoin can help people who already have jobs to make extra income, bitcoin can help everyone for those who are supported technological tools and for those who want to try and not give up to get bitcoin.
actually bitcoin not only provide jobs for unemployment and additional income for many people but bitcoin also as a new innovation of a currency and payment options, I see there are many parties that start receiving bitcoin, even facebook reportedly started glancing bitcoin (before mark zuckerberg dismiss the news). but the point is that bitcoin reduces unemployment in the world its fact! and I am the proof I myself have just graduated from college and have not had a job, and very grateful bitcoin provide income for me
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: January 14, 2018, 09:10:50 AM
A few days ago I read in a newspaper that many people are replacing gold  with bitcoins because more profitable over time, you never know ! bitcoin is better than gold i guess

In this times,  bitcoin is really way better investment than gold because the former offers a potential fast return of investment and even opportunity to gain profits in a very fast manner as well. With gold, it is for a long term because its price movement is quite slow.
for some things bitcoin is better than gold, but on the other hand gold is also better than bitcoin, I think you can understand now, when bitcoin prices go down very quickly and if you sell your bitcoin now it means you do cutlose and maybe get a big loss, whereas if you invest in gold, of course you do not get any loss at this time, seeing the gold price is still stable, I think for the best commodity can not be determined because everyone has a different view, we can not mention bitcoin will replace gold i think
