profitability is subject to interpretation, as well as many many factors.
if you go by fee alone, zpool is more profitable.
it all depends on mining luck. might want to read up on it.
the unpaid balance? you mean what is not confirmed and sold on the exchange? it will get added to your balance once its sold and you will be credited in the same timeframe as normal balance payments are.
you cant get paid in BTC for stuff that hasn't been sold for BTC yet.

With the upcoming fork of BTC please expect irregularities in BTC payments as exchanges disable withdraws. I'll do as best I can to minimize this by subsidizing the pool BTC wallet with my own BTC
Very upstanding right there =) i have 3 question 1st - which one is my payout will be
Bitcoin (total pending) 0.00019786 0.00045643 0.00065429 BTC Balance 0.00162225 BTC Total Unpaid **** 0.00227654 BTC Total Paid *** 0.00000000 BTC Total Earned 0.00227654 BTC
2nd- is this number after fee or before fee?
3rd - zpool give me more profit or nicehash with one 1080ti and one baikal cube 300mh
1: you will get paid your "balance". 2: no fees. 3: that doesn't look like a question.

Started all over and seems to work only a few times.
nist5 with ccminer (Klaust) was launched 3 times succesfully... and the 4th time it hangs.
not sure why it's hanging... if you goto the miners folder you can edit which one to use just by adding or # or getting rid of the # Just change Klaus to Trup yeah, trying a different miner version is always step one in trying to narrow it down... they can have.... very... odd bugs

The pool is throwing Error 502 and goes unresponsive for at least 30 minutes almost every single day. That's too bad because I like the concept, but losing 30 minutes of mining a profitable coin because the pool won't respond to MPM/Nemos and I get stuck mining a shitcoin that dropped at the bottom of profitability just make the whole thing not worth it for me at this point.
I dont think its the pools issue your having, i only have connection issues maybe 1 or twice a week... and usually it is back up and running a few minutes later.. in 99% of the cases its been around payout periods i have these issues.. but i just dont worry to much, because 10-20 minutes a week is what 5 cents of loss in profit? agreed. stratum still works flawlessly when the rest of the site goes into hibernation to process all payments on schedule... My internet issue could be separate, but it did like up eerily close to the issues being mentioned just now.

|
|
I think I saw a widespread dropout across multiple accounts....
Must have been something going on with the internet itself. It wasn't just my miners; but all of my internet connections did some strange things less than an hour ago.
Im not sure why yours is dropping out every day though... that's a strange one.
Does it always happen on the same algo?

Seems like something is down again. Getting stratum_recv_line failed.
what algo/port? NIST5 connections fine here....

no, they didnt use "code", they just used my test binary (without even a tip or a thanks btw)
Happens a lot on these public forums... but alas, it is an excellent tool... Ive seen it a lot, but have yet to try it out for myself.... I always use the calc app since there's a hotkey built into my keyboard and I have hashrates for my cards listed as normalizations with my batch threads. I need to test out these new miner versions. Been kinda slacking but I have my reasons... also being that I am still using 1080's, 1070's and earlier, I have no personal physical access to the Ti's just yet....

Your high temps are probably lack of high CFM fans on the case.... Did you upgrade them from the OEM rosewell case fans? The OEM fans are garbage.
With 130cfm+ fans, temps were kept in check...

Yeah, Scott - do it for free to one of the legendary forum members and if it's legit, you'll have 500 people contact you in 1 hour.
Think about it, what can you lose? If you did it - you'll be earning 1000's of ETH in a hearbeat when news get around the forum...
This is as real as it gets right here. You should reach out to a well-trusted legendary member that would be willing to test it out for the community. the link provided above is interesting. I assume nvidia would rather review a BIOS to be sure it won't screw its vendors before signing.... and this in itself is a stand-up method of approaching the problem at hand as to why they locked us out from changes from the get-go.

I have not been able to connect to groestl at all when it trys to switch to it, possible connection issue.... it attempts 3 times, then moves on but has failed 23 times to connect today
try a different version of ccminer manually... I bet its a version that has broken compile support for the groestl algo.... mining C11 with alexis78 is an example of such a thing happening.

Are you running the airflow in the case backwards? i ask this because i was planning on putting rigs into 4U cases and bought 2 cases, i put 5 cards in one and because the heat was being circulated over the CPU, i was having issues with the CPU overheating on me... so that build has been running with the lid on the case off since then with a box ran layed on top sucking the air out of the case...
I myself run them backwards as seen in the photos.... It's easier for cable/riser routing for the most part. I can see how it would be annoying for normal data center mounting as airflow would be backwards and be an issue of sorts. If you replace the two fans seen at the back of the case with higher flow ones; you shouldn't have any issue with cooling the CPU; but; running them backwards as the photo shows; keeps fresh air going over the CPU. I wonder why your cpu overheats.... The cpu itself shouldn't be doing much hard work at all.... What processor/cpu cooler are you running? [in the past] I've had home PC's that have an internal case temp of 80C, and the processors never really hit much over 90c.....

I find it EXTREMELY ironic that the _newest_ wallet says "unknown rules".
My only comment on that one....

I actually have a hate love relationship with 1080ti evga cards, they are the only cards that when freeze up they just lock up the computer solid and it never recovers, EVERY other brand i have when they freeze up they just flash the screen and reset the settings on the GPU, but always recover... i absolutely hate when a random EVGA card locks up a computer and its stuck unable to mine for hours tell i realize its locked up..
that's very strange. I have never had a card that doesn't recover from a driver crash.... not unless I was trying extreme over/underclocking....

Phew Thank you for your help Philip, sorry for a small hijack of your thread. Went to buy 2x 1080Ti and couldn't pay so that have triggered my question. ZOTAC or EVGA ? Thank you again for help Never used zotac, but as reported, Phil has seen good results. He's also right about EVGA, I specifically only buy their cards now.... Quality product; over-engineered (not in a bad way in the slightest); and the warranty is second-to-none. I highly recommend EVGA products.

....and here I am still mining with my GTX980 because I bought it with hard earned cash (before I began my mining ventures) just for playing video games.... That thing cost me over $650 originally.... which was a HUGE expense in my book then Hard to let go of it... but it is still up for grabs if someone buys it XD Such a low feeling (to me) selling it for even $250 now... then again, its earned me quite a pretty penny in its time. ROI'd several times over already. And I bought my 1070 FTW DT ACX3 for gaming as well (and mining), and paid almost $600, right before its price dropped due to the Ti launch announcement months later... I don't mind though =) I think this one paid itself off during the rise to the peak of the recent bubble. But I don't care about the ROI figure given its use.

but first: how many cards are in that rig? What model(s)?
Thanks i will get to that when i get home and post it.
I am running 3x Gigabyte G1 gtx 1070s
ok good; not more than 3 cards so that throws some possible scenarios out the window. but for sure that ccminer error is from it not being able to connect to the pool for whatever reason.... so I am going to predict that if the miner doesn't work again when you get home, that a ping will fail. a traceroute may be able to point you to what hop along the data path your connection isn't making it through, as it will ping every "hop" or node, between you and the place you are tracing.

FWIW on skien; up to 3Gh on one machine, the diff still hovered between .8 and 1.1....
keep an eye on your share % of an algo for ~10 min-2 hours... average that percentage, then look at the pools total BTC earned for the last 24 hours... see how good of a theoretical cut you would get....
Take the low % ones, and just throw them out the window (disable in batch), leaving 4-5 algos and only the best earners... you will see more profitability.
Also consider my theory (that keeps proving in my life to be true) that when a hashrate on an algo grows past a certain amount; profitability feels like the network total hash has increased. Like skien; when it was ~30Gh, and I was 1Gh; I was making insane profits; but as soon as another 70+Gh ended up there, the profitability flattened out until the hashrate dropped on the pool for a bit.
For nvidia rigs; I choose skein, neoscrypt, C11, X17, and NIST5 currently.... as an example. Might help you out.
Keeping the others in the batch allows you to gain the quickest benefit to ming a coin/algo that has suddenly surged in exchange pricing, so it's a double edged sword as to what you choose to do.
Every now and then, on some algos, I see reduced hashrate. It is usually just a run of unlucky shares (no high results in your work units).... and is sporadic when it happens. sometimes just an hour or two, sometimes a day....
skein is notorious for having an odd share-to-hashrate calculation; cause when you find a share @ lets say a diff of 30, often you will see an identical, or nearly identical sized share right after it.... happens a lot on skien.
I personally have always seen less profit on equihash, and haven't even bothered trying to mine it again since my last test several months ago.

Hello,
I am using the optimized miner for 1-3 cards. GTX 1070 x3 windows 10
I keep getting the error "statum authorization failed" then "stratum connection failed"
then i get "terminating workio thread" and this just repeats endlessly while it tries to connect to the different algorithms.
OP or anyone know how to fix this?
ALSO getting "ERROR: cannot resolve hostname"
when you get these errors, ping neoscrypt.mine.zpool.ca, mine.zpool.ca, and zpool.ca and post results for each.... that error is the miner unable to connect to the pool. if possible, run a traceroute to it as well. May help shed light. thank for your reply! How do i go about pinging those addresses and running a traceroute? im not quite as code savvy as i would like to be Also, feel like i should mention that it works fine with the 2.0.7 miner but not with the optimized alexisminer Windows key+R type "cmd" hit enter. This is command prompt. type: (without quotes) "ping neoscrypt.mine.zpool.ca" get results. modify address as per above, and repeat for other addresses. for traceroute: same cmd window; but instead: "tracert mine.zpool.ca" (just this one traceroute should be enough) but first: how many cards are in that rig? What model(s)?

@philipma1957
Have you seen anything like this. GPU4(Afterburner) always struggle to run 100% core usage , rarely if ever works as it should , tried changing riser , Mobo , windows version and still no luck , same card always doing that problem on Zec , when i use Claymore ETH it is working as it should.higher PT slightly helps but eventually hangs GPU3 is a luck of the draw , sometimes 100% and sometimes up and down but never hangs , what do you think is the problem
is that card upclocked, or downclocked? Is it clocked the same as all other cards in the rig, or were they all clocked individually? What does its graph look like with no clock change? ASIC quality may be a possibility.... for the level of optimizations in the miner app that has trouble that is.....
