are you planning to add stratum getwork support to the miner app? If so, yiimp pols and others would easily be able to be mined to. This of course is assuming it is presently coded just to speak directly to a wallet.... if i'm not mistaken.

It was nice talking to you. glad that we have worked out the configuration issue. yes. xdag miner software is just a hackup version of the PC wallet, eventually our plan to merge them all to an integrated PC/Linux host software, and release for open source.
thanks.
Love the progress guys! I've been actively watching in the corner =) I may pick one of these up to play with myself eventually...

Never liked Eth once they did the fork to roll back the huge theft It got 2 coins stuck in a wallet I have on a mac mini.
I have never been able to get the wallet to synch. It simply reaches the fork date and freezes. Even with a 2tb ssd it wont go past that point.
Never got a good solution for it. I email and pm'd them there were 3 or 4 of us with the issuse one guy had 6 coins stuck another had 11.
So I simply gave up on the coin. When it got over 1000 I spent days trying to free the wallet up and simply a no go.
Now it is around 287.50 so I pretty much think it will tank to under 200 soon.
Because of ETH's programmable/scriptable nature; I have never trusted it... Especially given the DAO hack and other folleys of that nature. ETH == Adobe Flash in my eyes.... same level of retard and security flaws; not to mention the closed nature of the devs doing whatever the hell they want... causing issues like the one phil and many others have gone through. I only use ETH as a medium of interchange; if I can sell ALTS for ETH at a good price; Ill immediately dump the ETH for BTC or a coin i am going to invest in.... Or ill use what little dribbles I exchange for sit on the exchange as a bottom penny purchase order on one of the shitcoins I make $ on at the rock bottom price.... for instance the .0013 I have on yobit that is purely for a purchase order for 100% of BUB's supply..... this way if it ever tanks to the floor; I can potentially bag it all... which I am fine with if it even never goes anywhere. All of my exchange funds presently are originally from my sig campaign anyways; so nothing ever lost in my eyes.

Never used Yobit myself, reason is non working wallets. no explanation why, its just ton of wallets doesn't work. Sorry for what y'all had to go through and thank you for posting and warning people. Also heard that some coins are "classic" and chains are out of date, maybe THAT is why some coins get stuck.
This seems to be the one that comes up the most... people hoping to buy on one exchange and sell on another without doing diligent homework =/ Sucks that the pool doesn't recognize this; but if they had to try and cover farse TX in the past or whatever else... meh. They are either too lazy, don't know any better, don't care, or don't have the manpower to keep on top of it..... The amount of coins listed is astronomical.

just copy/paste to double the threads. Its up to you to figure out any intensity or worksize changes..... I don't have the hardware to test.

Not a prob; I noticed another went down shortly after... I didn't realize the network stall until some time after; and from there; I just sat and waited.... you don't need to be in a big rush; but the missing balance was the part that triggered my response; then the removal of my wallet history altogether.... I havent ever seen that happen on lets say zpool.
im going to edit my original reply above.
Im just the sucker jumping on at the wrong time, which should have been the right time... lol. Saraj had other ideas in store.

Seems that there something wrong with my config, kindly check my config and tell me if Im doing it right.. My hashrate getting to low.. here's my config I don't know if I'm doing it right. "gpu_threads_conf" : [ // gpu: Ellesmere memory:3920 // compute units: 32 { "index" : 0, "intensity" : 864, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2, "comp_mode" : true }, { "index" : 0, "intensity" : 864, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2, "comp_mode" : true }, // gpu: Ellesmere memory:3712 // compute units: 32 { "index" : 1, "intensity" : 864, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2, "comp_mode" : true }, { "index" : 1, "intensity" : 864, "worksize" : 8, "affine_to_cpu" : false, "strided_index" : 1, "mem_chunk" : 2, "comp_mode" : true }, Is it right? is your problem with loading errors? Looks like formatting; specifically the ], on the last line which is missing....

Hi, all. Does anyone know or want to volunteer how much power an AMD 580 8gb is consuming or a 580 8gb rig is drawing at the wall? I hear STAK is a low power miner and am very sensitive to wattage at the wall. Any help is appreciated.
IDK about low power; it would take a BIOS flash and underclocking to get low consumption. I suggest peering over the configuration notes on github on getting the best performance out of it.

If you are going to provide this "service" for everyone, you should at least obey the GPL, fork this, and post the source code along with the binaries. You cannot change the code and only provide binaries.
On a side note its kind of sad that there are so many people in this thread asking technical questions and reporting problems. You get what you pay for. Pay the minimal 2% to support the dev and post the issue on their github. Its quite possible that any problem you are having is a bug in the software.
if it had been requested; it would have been provided. All changes made were clearly noted. so yes; I have made the changes pretty damned available and apparent. Nowhere in GPL does it require me to post to github or any specific location. Chill the f out or be deleted. pretty simple. I don't have to deal with your BS at all. As I said before: If you don't trust me; don't use it. if fierce-uk had a problem with what I was doing; he would contact me as its pretty easy.... and furthermore; he wouldn't post the source with the ability to edit the devfee. put away your internet warrior caps; if you wanna go down that road; I'll just continually delete every one of your posts. this is ridiculous. I flat out wont put up with it past this reply. Say something again, and ill just delete all of your comments. You have been warned.

The only time I shot for a BTC block solo was when BTC was sub 1K, and network diff was about 62 Million....... The S7 was semi-new tech at the time, but more efficient miners were just around the corner..... Luckily I was able to still sign my mining address on blockchain.info to add a custom label before Coinbase decided signing messages was no longer a feature for us peons: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1PHSDYvVp6HpqtuUPocK41DrdeHbbezaeP

Oh none taken at all. I wasn’t trying to really do anything but help. There’s nothing to “piggyback” especially since there’s no dev fee lol. Sorry. But yeah 2.4.7 and 2.4.4 worked fine with the 1080. And compiling was fun. Can 2.4.4 mine RYO? Just wondering thanks again!
it looks like cryptonight-heavy was asses for 2.4.2/2.4.4 so i don't see why not. Only small optimizations were made in the later versions. Ive been busy setting up my machine for my .com, and getting it all configured.... havent stepped in to re-compile the newest source yet. I plan to do it when the fork for CN7 is coded and released in xmrstak.

by saying they/police do not see a intention on dwarfminer side to steal the money from myself
Did they elaborate on what kind of proof would make them change their mind? BTW this is the right way to do it. Even though you didn't succeed I would encourage everyone who lost money to contact their local law enforcement. Yep; this is the proper method to try and get some sort of return from this problem. But honestly; I ran out of popcorn about 2 months ago.....

Start your own thread. Do not post that here. This thread is not for 4 post users to piggyback a potential piece of spyware/virus. Its not you; its the fact that nobody knows you and your true intentions. I won't have that here; and you aren't the first one to have a build removed. No hard feelings.

Due to a masternode bug that needs to be solved, the POW has been extended and will now end at block 17500, so good news for those that like mining.
The nethash rate is low now, so it's not hard to earn enough coins for MN from mining even if you have only 1 GPU card.
It is your last chance to get in guys. I have a 1070 and a 1080 pointed at onepool for the time being... should be a steady ~7.5Mh *edit* do not use onepool.fr
My balance has been wiped out, and my connection has now started to be refused... the port is offline.
MY account shows as if it has never existed there to mine; All earned block credit history have been deleted over the past 2 weeks.... (no proof I ever mined a block anymore)
My history missing is very concerning.
This is EXACTLY why I did not want to use a 3rd party pool.
*edit*
an hour later; SIRAJ coin has been removed... as well as all other xevan port coins.
I should have ~10K+ coins received from this pool. I received a Tx of just under 100 coins; when the total owed (and confirmed) at the time of going to sleep was well over 1500..... which was ~1-2 hours into mining before walking away for the day. Blockheight was not a concern when I started mining... i did receive a payout; but again, a fraction of what was owed; and is stuck on 1 confirmation... I think the network stalled?@mick; did something happen to the POS switchover?

To come back to more practical things... I figured I'd ask in here: How do you determine how to best set difficulty correctly for a rig manually? Vardiff nowadays is supposed to do it, but it often takes long to adjust and is often suboptimal. Is there a "golden rule" or "middle" for the amount of shares a rig should ideally submit per minute?
Golden rule is that you have to set difficulty high enough to reduce the network and mining delays, not more because it can result in opposite. For example if difficulty is very high, then miners generate shares too infrequently, as user above me posted, his earning start to decline once it taked longer than 5 minute to find a share. So not so hard to set difficulty yourself. if Time was a function of the hash; such like it is with SSL and other encryption schemes; the difficulty/ASIC issue would be much less of an issue overall.... probably a non-existent issue. Leaves things closer to the purely "random" concept of hash generation.... nullifying the speed aspect.

I am looking all over Craiglist and there are tons of GPUs, mining rigs, ASICs all for sale.
Its really funny how people are showing a stack of 6 GPUs on top of each other and said they were used for AutoCAD not mining.
I think if you know what mining is, most likely you were mining with it. So might as well be honest.
I guess one way how you can tell if a GPU was used for mining or not is to ask the seller (in person).
"So what games did you play with this GPU".
If he stutters and says something like "Quake 2" then you know it was most likely used for mining.
yup. The main telltale sign of working a GPU hard is the seeping fluids from the thermal contact pads; it is a DOG to clean up; and pretty much stains everything when it happens. It's not a bad thing; but a tell-tale sign.... easily seen on any GPU's bottom edge.... you don't see the massive amounts on CAD/gaming machines.... unless they were crammed in with no cooling in mind.

hey we can hope a coin rallies.
I am holding BTG it is at 20.16 = really fucking bad I am holding ETH it is at 319.71
With the supply of ETH; I see it getting sold off as time goes on... but that's just me.

Haven't heard anything back from support, over 2 months now. I see other cases where people sent coins to wrong wallet and I feel angry: In my case I didn't do anything wrong!!
missed on 2k coins of POS so far, and counting
I agree; have you spaced out a second reply on the same ticket about the withdraw being stuck? The only one I know of related to yobit is Domickerzhog (some name like that) but he seems to only be a chat/site admin... not knowing anything technical out of anything ive seen in the chatbox. I also noticed the removal of the 0.02BTC account requirement to use the chatbox.... MAkes me wonder how long until spammers make it change once again... If I knew any one, I would try and help... Maybe try and look for the (now locked) sig campaign. The final poster is the one whom managed the funds for the campaign, so he may have leads to see if you can get an angle that way...
