581  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: July 30, 2018, 08:55:56 AM
I search for no reason for their action... whatever it may be.    You must not understand the bounds and conditions of a signature campaign, and more specifically the one I am in with yobit.

They only pay me for the fact the signature is on my account.   No other reasoning or contractual basis aside from that of anything.  Evidence via the Sig campaign thread.  Pretty easy to find, and has historical proof of it is clear and public.

I only speculate on what may be based upon known fact;  but I wasn't speculating.  I was stating facts.  Any speculations were specifically labeled as such.

So go ahead and keep on thinking whatever you want.

Well, im just saying;  When I visited, I pulled a cut and paste of the miner reported data, and put it in the code comment....  so i could not see the problem.

Just like right now as I am posting this which is clearly there on your wallet page:

Code:
t-rex/0.5.0	p5k,c=BTC	hsr	0.028 7.5 MH/s

one miner connected.  7.5Mh.  looks like you did a rental or something a few hours ago.
now  4  miners ,  me see  hashrait  but  not see miners

completely clear your browser cache.

also try a different browser.

Ive had this happen to me before.  Notice, no coins listing earned either.

Try on a different PC;  I bet it will work fine.

I am holding 5200 rvn. Which is somewhat like 100 usd.

Maybe I should mine some more.

Ive been thinking about it... but;  I think ill just sit on my ~1024 coins and hope for a 15,000+ satoshi value someday.   It was only a few weeks of mining with gear that was already paid for and on free power;  so I'm in no rush to sell my RVN.....  The buy support on RVN is there for the most part... just not the volume.

I have most of my gamble in ~1.5% of a smaller coin's supply.   It used to sell from 10K satoshi to 35K satoshi back when I first did short trading with it....    so hopefully when the coin's project blooms... good news for me... even if it goes back to the 15K satoshi range;  that's massive profits and coinage to do much more with....

My father always worked in electronics/tech....  He's an RF guy.

Initially he worked for Rolm...  Then Trimble Navigation, Lockheed Martin, Cisco Systems, Hospira.....     Ive always had the ability to see big machines doing unimaginable things.

Back in ~96 my father and his friend almost put a T3 into our house so we could serve out ISDN lines.... good thing we didn't do that lol.  But back in the mid 90's, imagine what it was like to download an 8Mb video in a few seconds....  the first time I ever went with him to the main network hub to check out the setup and see what we were getting into for the hosting service he wanted to do.....   it was awesome.

Im with phill, Im done feeding the asic pig, ...

100% been there since the S7LN was released.   I almost pulled the trigger on an S9 once.... maybe would havea worked a hefty profit while BTC was mooned.... but,  Ive been in this boat for a while.

Just like my riding the waves comment.

I will probably NEVER buy another 10 series card;  out of principal;  unless they end up cheap like a port-a-potty's toilet paper.  Only new generation.  They need to learn their lesson, take their extra stock and liquidate it as best as they can.  They already know they lost big;  so they should make what they can,  not dig a deeper hole.

now start
t-rex.exe -a hsr -o stratum+tcp://hsr.mine.zpool.ca:7433 -u 1DZtqxxk6eymgMw7txZpmgQRFNrQGXTCqC -p p5k,c=BTC  -i 20  --retry_pause 5

for analizer   24 hour

Just viewed it.

It shows up fine.

I'm sure it has to do with your internet connection having disconnect or dead periods....   happens to me because of that anyways.

If it goes away and you must be able to see it, just restart the miner.

Code:
Miners: 1DZtqxxk6eymgMw7txZpmgQRFNrQGXTCqC

hsr        1        0.1243% 18.5 MH/s

t-rex/0.5.0 p5k,c=BTC hsr 0.084 18.5 MH/s

t-rex 050 ver.

havent heard of that version personally.

but I checked the account and the miners are offline presently.

Im sure crackfoo will take a look hopefully when the miners are online and the problem is present so he can try and see why its happening.

why do not I see my miners on the pool, there is hashrate, but there are no miners?
restart the miner app, or the whole miner.

happens now and then... not sure why, but its been a historical thing.     I tend to set my miners to close and restart the mining apps every 24 hours.... just to prevent this.

try the reboot/restart and see if it shows back up... it should.
restarted everything, miners on 3 computers, turned off included 100 times, no miner is visible
post the address, miner app version and im sure crackfoo could take a look.

Block Windows Update on Router levels... with URL blocking... problem solved! Google it

https://www.mstoic.com/how-to-block-windows-updates-at-router-level/

If you block one update server;  there are countless other web aliases that the os can try....   and it will continue to try if there's an internet connection.... endlessly until it finds one.
you get tired of adding aliases to that list after ~200+.

593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Win update .... on: July 24, 2018, 01:12:34 AM
There is actually already such a system in windows 10 called P2P windows updates, by default your computer can become a "hub" to update computers on your LAN, and also other computers over the internet to unload microsofts servers (you can also setup your own computer to download from microsoft + local PC + internet PC), i have setup one computer that does windows updates in my local network and is set to use P2P only for local computers, and all my others windows 10 computers on my network are set with metered connection (fake metered) so that they seek updates only from Local forbidding them to download from internet.

This is a useless and broken feature.  It does not work as intended.  I have tried all special methods of changing the metered connection specifications, etc...  to no avail.
Machines forced to update only from my laptop; which I update at other locations, but bring home often;  never get served an update, and those machines at home that were strictly kept on a separate physical network were disconnected from the internet completely.

Trust me;  I have monitored my internet and local traffic under several different configurations....   its not as simple as clicking that magic button.   This is Microsoft..... things always work as not perceived.  Each new major update;  I try to get it to be served by my personal machine to the others;  nope;  no dice.    I have even tried having that laptop connected to the internet, but also connected to that separate network;  nope... no updates on the private network.

If you block one update server;  there are countless other web aliases that the os can try....   and it will continue to try if there's an internet connection.... endlessly until it finds one.

not clear..the man said he has 346 XMCC pool balance.....in your rules is said for other coins  every 2 hours for all balances above 0.05...what I missed? why he asked for withdrawal and you tell him more blocks you need? I want to begin mining here, but now it looks like fraud?

I'm gonna only say this once:  you are ignoring what people are telling you because you are too lazy to do something as simple as read.

1) Look at how the YIIMP pool code works.
2) Your question has been asked hundreds of times, and answered hundreds of times, as well as is in the FAQ on the main zpool.ca page.  READ AND UNDERSTAND PLEASE.
3) This is not a solo mining pool.  You point your miner at a port that mines several coins on one algorithm.   If you select a payout in a certain coin type;  100% of the time, you are typically mining other coins and not the coin you wish to be paid out in.  On top of that everyone else's shares from those earnings needs to be sold on the exchange.    If you were to do what #1 and #2 above said;  you would know this and not need to be reading this pointless statement #3.

Good day sir.   Please take your head out of those blinders, and go read.  Understand what you are talking about before opening your mouth again..... cause you are seriously becoming a parrot.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Win update .... on: July 23, 2018, 01:51:21 AM
I hope eventually they will allow you to install a "windowsupdate host service" on a machine in your network, and have it be the update hub....  as long as it itself gets kept updated, it will show itself to all other pc's on the home network as the actual windowsupdate server.....  maybe on the basis of some 30-60-90 day certificate.

I thought they would have had this licked by now... but again, this is microsoft....
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: July 23, 2018, 01:43:43 AM
My small take:

I think what is really biting TSMC is the fact that nvidia screwed up and thought they could milk the 10 series for more than they could imagine;    instead of holding to their usual product release strategy they attempted to milk it....  Th process on the dies was already down.   Its usually cheaper for a second batch of chips.  So;  why did the price keep going up?    That's right.... "artificial inflation" due to "demand".

it all backfired.  and they are hurting TSMC by pushing back and trying to recoup on their stupid mistake;  instead of chalking it as a loss and moving forward.

If they had taken that mistake, and:
1) released a 1080ti with less ram
or
2) sold the overstocked chips at a cut-rate price to sell and drain inventory for the next round

TSMC would have not had such a huge problem. (this aside from the fact that they must plan for the eventuality of these problems in their business model)

In the end;

All of it.... is people fighting to have the biggest slice of the pie.   Some people gotta lose.... and when you risk it big, you can loose it big.

us peons;  just get to ride the waves.

The image of that "1180" PCB that's 99% populated....

I see 3 8-pin PCIE power headers....

How many watts are they expecting a GPU to draw  Shocked

It as nice seeing the die photos of the new bitmain asic.... interesting approach... but the results shows, how far they can be stretched for now (which is good)... and I bet they already have something way heftier planned and in the works/R&D.

The current file doesn't seem to be dangerous but, you can always change the link (not being suspicious here).
Sharing it using google drive isn't the smartest choice because of the usual hack attempts here in bitcointalk,
as you can see, people will always be suspicious on everything.

You should move it to a hosting site where users can review the code before downloading. (Do gitHub accepts .reg files?)

And better yet;  for a plain-text content file, why would you upload it anywhere anyways...

example_file.txt
Code:
Just post it as a code snippet like this

Completely transparent, and you can see its contents when you copy/paste to create the file on your remote machine.

and a new build
aluminum mounting plate --------new from spotswood
a rx 560 4g for 99 dollars --------new from new egg
 the aorus x470 -------------------new
the ryzen 2700---------------------new
2x 16 gb sticks of ram-------------had this on hand
a corsair ax1500 psu --------------had this on hand
a 500gb wd ssd--------------------had this on hand

this will be more of a development rig may add the acorn's to it.

I still have that 560 of yours....  been having issues still with getting respectable hashrates out of the "other" algos....    And I haven't devoted enough time to finishing that project recently since things have been hectic over here.....  I'm pretty sure I just need to keep digging up and testing different drivers still.   Especially annoying since I am avoiding anything having to do with bios modding... it just adds more question marks as most heavily recommend the bios modding.

I have tried this miner and it all went good. Thank you dev for this great miner. It is more easy and profitable to mine xmr now.
Yep, I thank the dev for releasing the source as well.

I'll be gone for the weekend; hopefully I can pick this back up next week when I'm less busy....
