401  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ☠ Scam-allert: Yobit and BTCsquare ☠ on: April 30, 2019, 08:13:39 AM
There is no doubt that a very large number of people report YoBit as scam crypto exchange for reasons they lost money even though they have protected their account even with 2FA. At first glance it looks like someone inside of YoBit is doing bad things, or there are major security flaws in their system which someone systematically exploits.

YoBit is also using few domains :  yobit.net, yobit.io, yobitex.net and they also warn users if you have e-mail verification on that. I also do not doubt that number of YoBit phishing sites can be measured in dozens, but also some become victim of fake YoBit trading bots and various browser extensions.

When we add to all of the above the almost non-existence of user support, we get crypto exchange which operates under the Wild West system, or in this case Wild East. No KYC and huge number of altcoins is something which is still attracting users to try their luck there.

To be honest;  when BUB went on maintenance;  I did a fire sale, liquidated everything and did withdraws.   I now have nothing on their exchange.    They always paid me in BTC for my sig campaign however;  and I have always been extremely cautious from what machines I log in from, and having 2FA, etc enabled... Just withdraw when the balance reaches ~.05-.1

Now;  to be fair;  I was paid for their signature campaign; for the last..... long ass time up until a bit ago when I did the fire-sale...   IDK... but;  The only thing I log in for now;  is to claim the free .01ETC every 24 hours;  and every week ship it off to a wallet.   Its a mere pence;  but substantial enough to make the effort.  I suggest anyone that can should create a dummy account and do the same.  Get what you can.

There have been wild claims here and there that it is being shut down;  was shut down;  or its owner captured/arrested... but there is nothing in the official realm that substantiates any of those claims.   I have no clue who runs YoBit....  If I did;  I would share.

Just saw C31/C32 ASICs now appearing with 500$ per day revenue..... wtf Huh

On this USDT news - its for real .... I started using BNB and ETH pairing in Binance, and avoided USDT altogether when Bitfinex & USDT brickbats appeared even last year.

Problem is $3000 deposit on a unit wherein 2000 is refundable;  isn't decentralization mindful because most of the smaller guys don't even have a chance monetarily or hardware wise.

Can i use it to miner uplexa?

check fireice-uk's github for documentation....

The message is translated using an automatic translator.
Wallet pointed to exmo.com. I do not get paid. Eight days using "XMR-stak-JK 2.10.3".
How to set the minimum payout?
Where to check the number of extracted and unpaid xmr?
you need to seek that information from the place you mine to.... in your example:  exmo.com should have documentation to tell you how to do that.  Typically by signing a message and submitting the hash.

I regularly go over my server logs.

Check out this excerpt:

The spam hackers are starting to target me for stupid crap.... if they only understood that attempting to SSH into my server from the internet gets them a full ban off my network;  soooo..... yeah...

I know the bots are present that regularly try to log into any seen SSH/SSHD server with a wordlist or a stolen passwords list;   but my IP ban list is rather excessive now;  and growing (slowly now) each day....   And it is sensitive enough that I have accidentally been banned trying to remotely login myself...   there's only one specific way to do it;  and I tend to forget that caveat sometimes =P

Initially;  I had my server take any failed attempt;  and start 1000 parallel instances of 3.14159Mb pings to the other end for the next hour.    two hours later;  I realized how much traffic that turned into; and swapped to the perma-ban list.   I think the attempts are slow enough now; that Ill turn that little puppy back on....

Just sharing to remind you:
Be sure to change any default password anytime you have one:  your routers, your miners; everything.  Its easy to get fucked if you leave a gaping hole such as that.

I wonder if im being targeted with miner usernames because of my use of this site.... idk; that's specculation.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: April 02, 2019, 11:12:30 PM
It seems to me that if you are engaged in the extraction of Ethereum, then today it is an unprofitable occupation. But if you look for promising new coins, you can make good money on mining. A promising coins appear quite a lot. Just recently came Veil for example!

The bot shills are getting more advanced Roll Eyes

yep; and if you look at the post history, you will be confused most times....  Ive seen many of these types of posts quoting people who were banned off the server... soooooo..... yeah.

I compiled under cuda 10.1

you should not see the major bug in my release.

I don't have the ability to compile until later;  the compiler is on a server that is hosting;  and there are currently players on it; so when the players go off for the day;  Ill hop in and compile the new version and upload it for you guys.

Been out of the Antminer game for a while but saw an article that they just released an Antminer S17, is this also an April fools joke?

Last Antminer I've heard of was the Antminer S9 and all of a sudden they skipped it down to S17. Really surprised they are still in the mining game after the failed IPO and the massive losses they suffered last year due to the BCH price crash.

Their selling of the miners specifically for BCH was a concern of mine while it was going on;  imagine for the split;  they picked the alt;  invested;  then, pumped it with their miner;  then, when the time is right;  dump dump dump because they have been paying bills with the BTC intake anyways.

Not too far fetched...  seeing how ETC went;  would have made sense...  tin foil hat aside.

Thanks for the heads up.

Compiled and uploaded.  See first post.

You are best Karagen thank you Smiley. what is nvvp.bat ? Smiley

TBH;  not sure;  my guess is some sort of driver compatibility patch or something.

It was included with the official release (which is where I pull the non-self-compiled DLL's from) and thought I would throw it in there in case the official documentation/troubleshooting requires it.   Just ignore it.

Sometimes I would include the other DLL's for cuda 8, etc... but I dont think i will do that anymore; plus it keeps the .zip file a lot smaller.  One less step I have to do when packaging it up for upload.

Hi fellas,
Who has an experience with this miner. It seems like one more nothing-new-miner, but web interface looks neat.

This is the miner you're asking about
*deleted*

That person is a banned user.

Your quoting of them is highly suspicious.  I will be paying attention to your posts from now on.....  be warned.

415  Economy / Goods / Re: Eotech 552 with dual laser module on: March 27, 2019, 10:54:29 AM
but since NV optics are illegal to use in combination with illumination here in California;

Nice unit, good luck with the sale.  But, I think you may be misinterpreting the laws.  Luckily for us most CA legislatures don't know shit about the firearms or the optics they intend to ban, constantly leaving loopholes open.

I am of the understanding that a self-contained night vision scope attached to a firearm is indeed against the law.  Night vision (hand-held or helmet mounted) are not illegal.  Infrared illumination or laser pointers attached to a firearm are not illegal.  The use of a combination of the two is not illegal, except while hunting.  Depredation, such as the taking coyotes, foxes, or raccoons is not considered hunting.  I have friends who are shepherds that use these methods to protect their livestock, and are within their legal rights.

Having said all that, law enforcement are often subject to the same misunderstandings.  Defending yourself in court might be far more expensive and troublesome than the toys are worth.

Again, best of luck with your sale.

Well; the two major grey areas are the class of laser (thus low power mode), and the fact that it has an illuminator which by definition crosses into a grey area of possible incorrect prosecution.

We all know in cali, people will try to charge you anyways; which is a headache in itself... which was my whole end sentiment.

It worked EXTREMELY well for things like raccoons and coyotes; but I have since sold off my night scope, so its mostly going unused for its features.  Just turn on the illuminator and eyes are like beacons.

Thanks for the feedback Wink

Bump.

Updated main post with more information.
417  Economy / Goods / Eotech 552 with dual laser module on: March 25, 2019, 06:33:22 AM
Up for sale is my EOTech 552.  It has a combination integrated infared laser dot and infared laser illuminator.
This is not your average EOTech, and you will not find this laser package for sale anywhere.

This laser is a serious hazard if you do not know what it is/does.
Keep this in mind:  I will imagine that it would spark the interest of few and specific people given its features...
I don't expect it to sell quick; and If I need to explain about this to you;  you don't need to buy it.

This optic has a Laser Devices dual-laser installed.   Laser Devices is the leading company for the highest tier military-grade laser devices.  You will not find this laser package on a public purchase list;  that is 100% certain.  Their public SKU list is rather limited; and this package definitely is/was not on that list.
The Laser has two separate emitters;  one is a typical infared pointer (dot), the other is put through a lens and focused into a flashlight beam effectively giving you daylight-like illumination through night vision optics at any distance (focusable); while emitting zero visible light.
There are low power and high power settings for each.  Check with local laws about using the high power setting;  there's a reason that little blue screw is there to block high-power mode.
It can be activated manually by the button on the side, or double click the button to turn it on.  The bottom has a port for a standard quick disconnect squeeze switch for activation as well.

I have had it for years;  but since NV optics are illegal to use in combination with illumination here in California;  I really can't justify holding onto it; and would like to get something a little more practical and less pocket-heavy.  I don't think they will be changing their laws any time soon.

Testing waters for offers on either cash, crypto, or trade.
I know exactly what this is worth.
I will most likely ignore most offers if they are not realistic.
Escrow can be provided;  and I am sure if you wanted to do direct;  I have references that could give a good hefty vouch that I follow through with my deals on this forum.

Will not ship overseas or outside the US.  I will use a USPS flat-rate postage box with tracking.

Yes its dirty in the photos;  Its still mounted and used since it works just fine as a holosight for now.

It does need a new battery housing.   They are for sale on amazon for not much at all.
This one works;  but a battery corroded in it at one point and made one of the springs pop out of the bottom;  makes battery changes annoying.
Best to get a new one.. they are ~$20.

What you get:
The sight as pictured.
Two grip "squeze" buttons for laser/illuminator activation. (not pictured)  You can mount them on your grip or wherever you want a push-to-use button.  They have fresh new unused velcro mounted.

Please leave all offers in this thread.... don't PM me.    I don't like closed door trade/sell offers.

418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUBBLE || alpha software in testing demo up big news on: March 24, 2019, 03:29:13 AM
Ok, who is ready?

Still holding on, would be good if yobit re-opened up the wallet though.

Okay, I just picked 10k+ of these a couple of days ago. I have not tried sending to the wallet because the wallet didn't sync from the get-go. Why is the wallet frozen (is this the right word?) on yobit?

Strange;  My wallet is online presently; and seeing other nodes/staking.  The wallet can take some time to resync sometimes may take one or two tries with lots of patience.   And I know the machine my wallet is staking on;  is behind some pretty serious network protection;  not sure if it would be serving out copies of the blockchain itself (data caps, bandwidth restrictions, etc).

Yobits reasoning in my support ticket was "They needed to update the wallet"; but no updates to the wallet were released, so the language barrier angle is either being egregiously abused, or is simply just very very huge language barrier between him and the people who control the coinboxes..

Something inside me wonders if they started mining/staking off a sidechain/fork, and are waiting for everyone else to disconnect so they can reinstate/hold onto their bad chain....

Kinda the same premise of the VSync coin on their pool (as of 1+ year ago and earlier);  operated on 100% a different chain;  not the one the rest of the world operates on.

Only; compared to VSync, BUB has staking;  and thus; yobit's wallet size would generate them quite a number of coins/day to slowly put for sale on the exchange and sell off to people... im not sure if they want to maintain that foothold and not have to eat some of the sales of those staked coins on their exchange;  for fear that the coins sold may not be legitimately good being on the wrong chain.  Most of those micro/small sell orders are theirs by my best reasoning.

I only have ~4K coins sitting on the exchange.   Theres a chance they may fix the wallet;  they literally just need to close the wallet daemon, delete the blockchain, restart the daemon and let it resync with the network.

2.10.2 give  me an error about failing to open config file .openclcache/.

must be driver related.

if not using opencl;  I suggest disabling with a launch --flag as per the github documentation.
