141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] MARK.SPACE - 3D/VR ecosystem on blockchain on: January 19, 2018, 08:20:28 PM
With the use of 3D and VR this project surely will be successful. Using VR is in the platform is a very good idea and many people are interested in this Technology. Great Job!
We have really focused on the RV in recent times, much bigger than it has always existed, it is something that everyone already imagines using in the day to day, integrating it into something like Mark.Space was an aggressive and accurate decision. The pioneering spirit of Mark.Space will be noticed for a long time, and this will bring a lot of return to the Team and to us investors

Mark.space project progress is going amazingly. if we see here community of trust. really amazing. nowadays VR technology is going very good. people liked this new things.

True, VR nowadays is widely talked about and Mark.space project has come at the right time. Hopefully this will be reflected in their token sale next week.

When Oculus and HTC Vice will become less expensive Embarrassed? Yesterday I was looking again and I saw Oculus Rift for €499 and Vive for €699, still too expensive for wide adoption (for example, I know that Iphone costs a shiton but a lot of people have it, smart phones are an other territory though)

Well, it is actually a normal price. Game consoles costs around 500€ mostly.

The problem here is they are too big and too many cables with little content. Projects like mark.space will fix the content problem, and other problems will get fixed with newer tech.

I agree, but it really depends on how fast the tech problem will get fixed. mark.space will also need to make sure that they make their content in such a way that it is easily integrated into the new tech.

when I tested (with registration) livestars alpha - writes at upper right corner: 1000 Live (200 USD)
it would be nice gift - if for registered users this balance will be remained  Roll Eyes

I dont think it's uncommon for a platform to start a registered user of with a few coins/dollars to try out the platform. It is a great way to get people 'hooked'  Grin

Most of what is written in the white paper makes no sense.

The major problems that cam companies face aren't anonymity, processing fees or too many user registrations.  It is traffic.  A cam site needs LOTS of traffic to make things work.  Without constant traffic, the girls won't stay.  Without girls, no traffic comes to the site.  You need to have both at the same time to make things work.

And if you think that simply having an adult site means traffic will magically appear, you are gravely mistaken.  It takes millions, TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars invested into acquiring traffic to get the ball rolling.  Then there is the question of getting good cam models to keep the site busy for when those visitors do eventually show up.  Sure, you can use cam girl studios in Eastern European and Latin American countries to populate the site. But you'll still need some good deals to attract the A-grade models.

And NO. Affiliates will not be the ones to generate that traffic.  If the site isn't attracting users and the girls aren't good enough to make sales, the affiliates will quickly stop promoting the site.

The only way I see this project working is if they are partnered with a leader in the cam business already who will guide them through the process or if they are associated with one of the 5 major players when it comes to adult traffic.

I think traffic can be generated by the cryptoscene itself even. Many people who are in crypto now have some extra income but it's still a hassle to take out or spend. So this is a great place to spend it.

I think the project is for long term invest. The roadmap is on a long period but pretty serious I think, the period of launch of alpha and beta is a leader realistic. That kind of application take a lot of time to be developed.

Not only that, getting this to get wide acceptance will also take a long time. That is why it's nice they have some people who has experience working in the government.

Just saw this article pop up on my Twitter feed: https://cointelegraph.com/news/startup-wants-to-bring-blockchain-remake-for-webcam-sex-industry

Very nice exposure that no doubt will attract some investors!

Of course there are competitors but the key to livestars is decentralisation, is it not? - ie the goal of anonymity. Do the others have it?

It is worth adding the problem of popularity in crypto is scalability.

If there was say, 10000 models online and 100000 users globally at once, can this platform handle it? What if we add a zero to each?

Lagging at every key chokepoint of this project could kill it during an exponent in demand, if design is not crash tested for extreme loads.

Any tekkies here?

Well the platform it self (webcam/site) won't be decentralized, right? It's the token part that is decentralized. So it doesn't matter if there are 100000 models, they can just add servers like any normal webcam portal. But the tokens are on the blockchain and won't need that much processing power. Besides anonymity i think one of the biggest advantages is the efficiency of using blockchain tokens as payment, they have shown in their white paper this results in a much larger share of income for the models.

I just noticed this message in  telegram @ehfirst
Quote
Hi everyone!
We are working on the White Paper. It seems to be ready within 10 days.
Also EHF team creates Q&A video clips. So if you have questions about the Project, please feel free to wtite them in our group @ehfirstgroup.
Thank you!

Very good to hear! A proper white paper is needed. Maybe they can also do an AMA on reddit, those usually generate quite a lot of good attention.

Dear Community,

Regarding models - we have a lot partnerships with studios that have over 100 models and they are waiting for Live Stars Beta release.

If you experience any issues with transactions please join our Telegram channel to get quick response from the team. We are now processing large amount of requests, and the quickest way to get to us is through Telegram - https://t.me/livestarsio

All unsold tokens will be burned. After the sales are completed, we will publish the contract code on etherscan that will be publicly used to burn the tokens.

Thank you for your attention.

Two things i really wanted to hear. A lot of models and unsold tokens being burned. Now that i;ve invested, i don't mind the rest of the tokens being burned  Grin

I would also like to know. I think a lot of people are interested, but information like this is needed Smiley

50% discount will end in less than 2 days. I wish investors won't waste this good offer.
maybe it's time to invest 50% discount time is almost at the end, the live girls from alpha version of the platform are very nice...
hmmm, maybe Iam looking at the wrong time, I only saw 1 girl with not good streaming quality.

The stream quality i've also noticed. I don;t mind too much though because the rest of the platform is already pretty far along. Remember this is just an alpha, with the money raised from the ICO they can improve stuff like stream quality quite easily.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EHF eHealth First on: January 15, 2018, 08:57:20 PM
Can anyone explain how they imagine to earn revenue from this project aside from whatever they raise during the ICO? I mean if it's like webmd that anyone can access how they get income? How does webmd even support their servers and staff?

The brochure mentions the token can be used to access paid services within the several EHF projects like medsearch & Healthy life.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EHF eHealth First on: January 14, 2018, 12:23:24 PM

Machine logic for health might be a very dangerous thing.. Humans have a thing called nuance .. I don't expect devices to develop this soon.

But humans are also prone for errors, e.g. just overlooking an important result from a blood test. I also think doctors won't be completely redundant for diagnosises, but I am convinced that in future, they will only be needed to confirm a diagnosis.

It really depends on how the analysis is done as well. When you take a blood sample or something and that is analysed, machines can just display the facts about that blood and draw conclusions. When a user has to explain/input symptoms, then it gets more difficult like you said. So i think it should be a combination, first/basic analysis by machines and AI, if there is no certainty a person can come in to do more diagnosis.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO 15.01]⭐LIVE STARS ⭐ Revolutionizing Live Adult Entertainment on: January 14, 2018, 09:51:20 AM
Maybe the Live Stars team could consider attracting more models by adding some additional incentives from their project budget. Because if you only rely on visitors to pay models they will probably get stuck in a vicious cycle. No visitors no models, no models no visitors.

I agree with this. In my opinion it's all about attracting the top quality models and aiming for the highest quality both with the models and the platform. If you got that, then there is no doubt that users will follow. With the money raised during the ICO, they also have the resources to make this happen and really invest in both the models and the platform. They already have a nice incentive for the models with the high pay (only 20% goes to the platform, way less then other platforms), but they should also try to create other incentives for models to join the platform.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EHF eHealth First on: January 14, 2018, 09:46:41 AM
I'm glad to hear they have people on the team who have ties/worked with the government. Medical data can be a sensitive subject, especially in some countries. You have to be able to convince regulators that you handle this data in a secure way.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EHF eHealth First on: January 13, 2018, 08:41:13 PM
I can't find this project on icobench rating platform, maybe I'm not correctly write the name of project? it's EHF ? or eHealth First ?

it's still early days. maybe they haven't reviewed it yet.

Plus you really need a whitepaper if you want to do a professional review of a project, looks like everyone is waiting for it.

I think white papers are overrated, just look what kind of stuff is in the CMC top 100. SmartCash at 35, $1.5 billion, have you ever heard about it before? It's just a coin.

not really, a whitepaper is needed for the investors to get a good gauge on what the project is about and how it's going to get developed. it's necessary.

Exactly. In order to really find out if the project has merit and is feasible you need detailed plans, aka a whitepaper. The video's linked earlier are nice, but they are just one piece of the puzzle. I would like to hear how they plan to put all the pieces together. When you look at the members of the team, you can imagine that these are guys who can handle such a big project, but they need to work on communication.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]⭐ REPU ⭐ - Smart reputation managment - Pre-ICO Soon🚀🚀 on: January 13, 2018, 01:02:44 PM
i have got high hopes for this project Smiley waiting for a working demo to be convinced to invest in this project. hope it is before the ico sale.

I also like to have at least some kind of demo for the ICO's i invest in. Too many whitepaper ICO's these days.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]⭐LIVE STARS ⭐ Revolutionizing Live Adult Entertainment on: January 13, 2018, 12:59:47 PM
Looks promising but im worried a bit about the "revolutionizing" part. Webcam platforms like this have been around for ages, and are about to become obsolete. There are already thousands of websites who use tokens to tip performers, the only difference is that they dont use crypto. I do see potential in the performers revenue (although yours is still incredible huge), but not in the platform itself. A simple webcam site isnt much of a revolution..

You mention "no third party involved", but if customers want to tip models they have to buy your coins right? To buy your coins they have to buy btc and you need a third party for that. If you have your own system and if you want people to buy coins with creditcard or whatever you can not go around a third party. Can you please explain this a bit more, maybe i dont understand it correctlyy.

Also when i look at the team i cant find any info of experiences in the adult industry besides cammodel littleroxie. Do you have any connections in this industry? For me this is important to know as the adult industry isnt like any other industry...

If i understand the project well enough one of the real benefits is the efficiency of payment between the model and the viewers. Blockchain is most efficient in cutting out the middleman, for instance a payment doesn't have to go from you >> bank >> to whatever. I can't find it now, but they had an infograph showing the 'cut' the platform/3rd party usually takes with webcam platforms. Because of blockchain efficiency the models can get paid significantly more. Better paid models is higher quality models, they will prefer to work for Live Stars compared to other platforms of course. Better models = more interest from customers, etc.

I definitely see big advantages of using blockchain.

True, i agree deleting the middleman is always a good thing. But on the infographic i can see they ask for a 20% commission. Thats not cutting out the middleman, thats putting yourself as a middleman. I hope i see this percentage wrong, but that is what i read in the infographic.

Also delays in payments arent a "huge" thing in nowadays adult market. Customer deposits are instant 99% of the time. But indeed the payouts to the models normally have a waiting period due to chargebacks and stuff like that, so that indeed is a small improvement.

But although there are a few good things, the question you should ask yourself: will normal customers a) know how to buy bitcoin in the first place, b) know how to send that to an exchange and c) know how to convert those into livestar coins. Well i can tell you, 99% of all normal people wont do this ever. And even if they know how to do that, it will cost way more time then just depositing with your creditcard.

And again im not saying this to be negative, but i know the adult market, customers are most of the time horny - which means they dont have any patience - and those people are already leaving a site if they even hear the word "crypto" or "bitcoin". It will take decades before the mass will use things like this. And yes offcourse new ideas/tech is always good, and someone has to try, but still... there is a long long way to go

20% sounds like a lot, but compared to other webcam platforms it's very little. You have to remember that for that 20% the platform has to be kept up and running, equipment, computers, webcams, etc.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] EHF eHealth First on: January 13, 2018, 12:58:52 PM
To be honest, i don't mind if there is no community manager right now. If the ICO doesn't sell out the tokens for the people who have invested appreciates. So you get rewarded for doing your own research. Of course after the ICO, marketing is important Smiley
