141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 15, 2023, 03:56:36 PM
Now he wants me to lend him some money to at least pay the loaner back and later settle me, there is more, now I have to send him some money to buy some food.

That is what true friendship is for. You help each other when in need. Good you did the much you can do for your friend and that should be unconditional. If it had gone well and he made serious profit am sure he would have spent part of the money with you too as his friend. Another thing is that you have to sit your friend down and  educate him on why he should not over invest in cryptocurrency. There should be something set aside and not to put everything into it. It is part of financial discipline.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: February 15, 2023, 09:29:31 AM
Its just 11 days into the new year and 2023 is already showing signs of hope for bitcoin investors. Bitcoin is currently on 17k plus as of this morning when i check my binance app which is currently a good results as bitcoin has been stuck at 16k for a very long time.

You know how much profit you would be making by now if you had invested when you made this post. Bitcoin is now above $21,000 and it is going to rise more in days to come. But the problem with investors is that they are always afraid to invest until price begins to rise.

am looking to sell some of my old stuffs which am no longer using to start my own bitcoin journey.

That will turn out to be your best decision in life if you do that now. Bitcoin will do well this year and next. Anyone who is interested in bitcoin should make that investment in bitcoin now.
143  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How I started on: February 15, 2023, 08:04:59 AM

I was sad reading the first part of your story but thank God your story has a happy ending. God will make the joy around you a permanent one. Alot of people have worse stories than what you have passed through and most times no one comes to help, even family members. But come your dad's younger brother did not know his brother passed away? Was he not communicating with you people until he cane back from abroad? Life is not fair and this is why those who have currently should not boast because they have and think others do not have because it is their sins that is preventing God from blessing them.
144  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scarcity of new naira notes..! Them still dey collect old notes for your area?? on: February 15, 2023, 07:48:03 AM
CBN done dey give procedures to deposit money for their branches all over the 36states and FCT as commercial banks no dey receive old notes for counter again,The procedure just too much

No be lie weh you talk on that procedure thing. Even when you read the guidelines for the thing you self go understand say CBN no want to collect the old naira again. I no see how the thing go fit to pass through all that validation process after so many days of submitting it except say the person deh connected.

I pity who still hold old cash for hand , as to deposit am now go really take time and energy, but wait o the old money nai still dey circulate for market o, the new money never come I just wonder how them wan do am o, becos people still plenty wey hold old cash ,

Hausa traders weh deh my state, Imo still deh collect the old naira notes till yesterday o. If them stop na him be say na today them stop. I know come know wetin give them the courage to accept the old notes when even most filling stations for Imo stopped collecting on February 10th.
145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't have high expectations in the crypto world. on: February 14, 2023, 02:23:56 PM

Not many will want to listen and stick to this advice until they suffer the heartbreak and financial losses caused by this high expectations. People think that it is all set and made once they invest in cryptocurrency and that with as little as $10 that they will become rich. Such mindset has made alot of them to hate anything cryptocurrency once they suffer defeat from such investment. We all should have a moderate expectations that is possible and not that type where you invest $10 and expect to make $10,000 from it.
146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patient, don't get discouraged. on: February 14, 2023, 01:09:51 PM
Thank you for your encouragement, it's as if you are talking to me alone, it's not really been easy for me, most times my post gets deleted by moderator, most times I post something I think it's meaningful enough that might warrant me having new merit, but I won't be merited, on my quiet time I go through people's profile to see their ranks, their activities and merits, I smile and sometimes wish it was my profile, but I still know with hard work, consistency on the forum and meaning contributions I will grow from newbie to higher ranks with more merits and activities..

So I'm not given up, I will be patient till I achieve a greater heights here, thanks for all your encouragements, I'm humbled 🙏

Am touched by your comment. Sometimes we envy others for the right reasons and for what they have been able to achieve. That is not a bad thing to desire provided we also work ahead to make it work out for us. Do not give up on your dream of rising and going through the ranks. Be patient, consistent and focused and you can achieve it.
147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: February 14, 2023, 12:46:21 PM
Does anyone a mining app called Bitcoin Miner just want to know if they pay out after the 90 days??
Thanks

Be careful what you download online so you do not have to cause your device damage with virus and malware or even indirectly expose your devise to hacks. Bitcoin is no longer that easy to get like it was before some years ago when it was given to encourage people to try it or to spread awareness. Whether in play to earn games or faucets, it is hard getting real traded tokens for free anymore.
148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More information on: February 10, 2023, 09:27:28 PM
I am a new beginner  so I want to know what is involved in the crypto space, information is very important as its needed to fully guide yourself into any step you are about to take  in life so that  is why I need more enlightenment about the crypto world, Today in my locality many awareness is going on about cryptocurrency and I feel left behind as  am currently tired of the whole fiat system and need to know other alternatives about using bitcoin as a means to financial freedom.

Information is important in anything we learn or do and to get the best of that information here, you have to read more and observe what is happening around the forum. Ask less questions. Read more. The information you are asking for concerning cryptocurrency are all answered but you have to devote more time to this place to enjoy all that.
149  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal apologies for dataispower ban on: February 10, 2023, 08:04:54 PM
But i still don't get it why some people will plagiarize knowing well that the forum is always against such, is it for them to phish for merit or because they were so lazy not to think of writing post from their head without copying it from somewhere else, or probably they think they might get away with it if they do so, that not all plagiarist is been apprehended, i just keep thinking about many possible mease that could have been causing this attitude, not to talk of seing this happening from an experienced user here who is sr. member rank up in this kind of mess.

That is because most of the people who plagiarise do not know it is against forum law. They act like it is the regular classroom cheating where students copy each other and submit without getting caught for malpractice. But this place is different and people pay heavily for that when caught in the net. Members have to acquit themselves with the laws here so they do not act that way and get punished for it. I have pity on op and let us hope he gets a second chance on this.

151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 10, 2023, 06:36:53 PM
I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age. I have noticed that assuming so many of us notice the important of Bitcoin in time we would have all be a partial millionaire if I'm not mistaken of being a full millionaire.

You think so? That those who knew about bitcoin at youth should by now be partial millionaires? Eventhough that is what you expect, that is not how it works. There are many people here who knew about bitcoin that first year it was launched yet they will tell you they missed out. They cry of how rich they would have become if they know what they know now. Being a youth knowing about bitcoin is not a conclusion that you would have taken the risk to invest in it. There are many youths today who know about bitcoin but are not investing in it.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Extremely Holding on: February 10, 2023, 05:12:14 PM
It sounds like someone found a massive stash of Bitcoin that was just sitting there for 11 years! Can you imagine forgetting about that much money? And the fact that they were able to get that much Bitcoin in the first place just shows how much faith the early adopters had in crypto. Crazy, right?

The owner moved the bitcoin and not that he sold it. It will be ok to say he did not need the cash from that wallet and am believing that it is possible the owner will have other wallets he has been selling from. Nobody keeps that huge amount of money somewhere and not reduce his risk by selling some. That is my opinion.
153  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Yo!Mix Bitcoin Mixer Signature Campaign| Reward up to $100/w | 2/2 escrow on: February 10, 2023, 07:20:49 AM
And I will update my signature when you accept me as senior member

Congratulations. You do not need to wait for spreadsheet upgrade before you can update your signature. You have to update at once when you rank up.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My greatest fear about Bitcoin Halving. on: February 09, 2023, 09:50:58 PM
My greatest fear is; what if 2024 halving comes and go without any kind of bull run?

That is very unlikely. Bitcoin halving causes shortage in supply of bitcoin because of the reward per block. And we know in basic economics that shortage in supply will mean increase in demand and that will result to scarcity. With scarcity, price goes crazy. All the past bitcoin halving produced bull run and I do not see that in 2024 being different.
155  Other / Meta / Re: More information about forum on: February 09, 2023, 06:33:18 PM

If you have done such before in the past, I advise you quickly go and delete such post now before it is reported. It is plagiarism and that is a big crime in the forum. Alot of members have been punished for that even after so many years later that it was discovered. The punishment for such is ban and it does not matter when that is committed.
156  Other / Meta / Re: Ban evasion clarification! on: February 09, 2023, 01:50:31 PM
When an account is banned, it's a ban for the person. So, paying fees doesn't change the fact. One can't make more account once they are banned. Note- I'm not a moderator here  Cheesy

But why is it that once a person is banned here he can not start afresh, except he hides to do it? And if he is caught it becomes another problem and ban. Why? I think the forum is very harsh on this. Let us take for instance that a reputable legendary and popular member who has been contributing to this forum gets permanently banned for an offence, that means he can not get a change to start afresh? That is too harsh. Even God gives us a second chance why not humans to humans? The forum will be loosing creative members this way.
157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we have mentors assign to you in this forum as your guiders? on: February 09, 2023, 01:19:16 PM
It's a crude solution to a problem.
Ban evasion is against the rules, so when an account gets banned some units of evil is associated with the IP of that account, so when the units of evil gets too high, all accounts created from that IP would be blacklisted and not be able to post, to discouraged banned accounts from creating new ones.

I used to assume that every device that is connected to the internet has its own unique IP. How come people share the same IP even when they are very far apart? I have noticed that my IP used to change sometimes when I get mails from some websites am subscribed to. It is slight change and if you do not look deeply you can miss the change. That means this distortion in IP is what makes new users share the same IP with banned accounts or any other reason?

You should not look at it that way.
If the admins were looking for ways to make money, they would not disale donations on the forum.

Maybe the donations have not been coming for sometime and the best thing will be to stop it publicly. Except those who control this forum tell us why it was stopped we are got going to know why it happened.
158  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the two most effective pieces of advice you could give crypto investors on: February 09, 2023, 12:06:06 PM
Never try timing the market bottom

I have tried to time the bottom in the past and failed woefully, this is impossible to target even if you are a master of the crypto charts you will always miss, the best solution to this is dollar cost averaging.

This is the one am going to work on myself. I find it difficult buying at once i think it will change direction. I feel regrets whenever I look at where i could have entered a trade or left it and see how it did not change in my direction. Apart from me struggling with this which I plan to overcome, my advice to other crypto investors from your question is never to trust anyone in a hurry. Let them prove their honesty first because there are alot of scammers in cryptocurrency.
159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we have mentors assign to you in this forum as your guiders? on: February 09, 2023, 11:37:10 AM
But there is an evil fee paid upon registration as a penalty for an alleged IP crime. Without paying that fee you can not post from that account. What is that for or you have not heard of anything like that?
There is a way to bypass that if you're a totally new user, as some members, including myself, have whitelisting privileges.

Yes I know there is provision for new accounts to be whitelisted by some chosen members for free. But why do new members have to go through all that at all. My account was done freely when i registered. I believe it was the same thing for those who registered before I did in 2017. Alot of people will say that what is charged is nothing of much stress to those paying it because it is little payment but they forget that if gathered together that is a lot of cash.
160  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we have mentors assign to you in this forum as your guiders? on: February 09, 2023, 10:24:02 AM
The admin here don’t charge anything when we register so don’t expect such service here.

But there is an evil fee paid upon registration as a penalty for an alleged IP crime. Without paying that fee you can not post from that account. What is that for or you have not heard of anything like that?

You need to DYOR here or hire a service of someone knowledgeable here if you want a mentor. Don’t expect someone will offer you a 1 is to 1 mentorship for free here because all our time is precious.

It is the same thing as telling someone to put their money where their heart is. If your heart is not convinced to invest into a project, do not do it even after you have done enough research on it.
