141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: September 16, 2019, 11:38:24 PM
Cryptocurrency will always look good in the future and so will any fund raising method adopted. It will be more secure, confident and assuring and scam limited. It might be IEO remodelled or something entirely novel and unique to suite the demands of that time
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are IEO's bad? on: September 16, 2019, 11:23:41 PM
IEOs are not bad, the bad aspect is what you mentioned here;  people focus more on the exchange listing the project, then FOMO and forget about what the actual project has to offer. It's clear that IEOs done on credible exchanges like Binance, Kucoin and OKEX sell very fast because investors are confident that the team members have been verified thoroughly by the exchange and the coin will be listed fast. I will strongly encourage everyone to look deep on what the project has to offer, the product or MVP, the token economics and other vital aspects before buying into any token sale.
The advent of IEO makes investors do little research as they know some of the task are done by the exchange itself already.
They trust the exchange, so they trust their judgment, that's why some coins after IEO pump in Binance because people love Binance so much as they can trade blindly thinking a project is good as Binance listed it.

That's correct. People believe and trust the judgement of certain exchanges like Binance, OKEx and Huobi when it comes to choosing the best cryptocurrency projects for fund raising. The invest knowing that exchange listings, reputable team and partners have been assured. However, the frenzy is gradually dying down because in the end profit to investors is what matters most and many of them are not getting as much as thought or planned
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Back From The Dead? on: September 16, 2019, 11:12:21 PM
The current price tends to increase if the market let the low BTC dominance. The price is slightly over the 190$ but the probabilities of cracking the $200 resistance level are not high. Ethereum has lost its power after the recent bear market but the situation can change to the positive side in case of decreased Bitcoin dominance.

It has really lost it power and fear factor. Plus most projects now prefer to have their own blockchain too to have their specifications tailored to taste. Furthermore the heavy lagging Ethereum network is not helping instill confidence in investors too.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The perfect solution to scam in the crypto space on: September 16, 2019, 10:57:04 PM
The rate of scam and hacks in the cryptocurrency market keeps growing at an alarming rate. In my opinion there best solution to these crimes in the cryptocurrency market are

1 ICO regulations: if there is ico regulations then investors should only invest in ICOs that are certified and meets the required standards. This will reduce the scam rates as fake ICOs will not be able to raise money for investors anymore

2 Smart contract Auditing: I think in other for coins and exchanges to avoid hacks and attacks they should constantly audit their smart contracts at regular intervals (like every 2 weeks or every month).  Doing this will help them detect the bugs and loop holes in their smart contracts and correct it before it is used by hackers.

All these are good ideas. Especially number one that has the opportunity to play a key role in sanitising the cryptocurrency market. However, there are fears that the true tenets of cryptocurrency and blockchain which is on decentralization will be defeated and also ICO regulators might abuse their powers too
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The cost of running a bounty? on: September 15, 2019, 09:29:32 PM
I think there is a cheaper way to send once to multiple eth address. I saw a developer posted this months ago and Ethereum founder Vatalik retweeted the post.
I also retweet the post but its been long. Searching for the tweet might take much of my time. I would have love to drop the link here.

Use multisend.Co and you will be fine. All you have to do is to input all recipient addresses and send collectively making it far easier and cheaper for you. There are other technical methods too but multisend tops it for me
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: artificial intelligence can be dangerous on: September 15, 2019, 09:21:15 PM
Artificial intelligence is really a very dangerous thing. Because of the fact that he can self-learn, it can lead to the fact that he will cease to obey the person. It would be ideal if it existed to make life easier for us, but there is a risk that the AI may behave quite differently from what we wanted.

Lol. Reminds me of the Will Smith movie 'I robot'. The ability of robots to self learn through AI can be quite threatening and the fact that these robots will put multitudes out of jobs especially in the manufacturing sector is not very appealing but I trust humans to always put in a control measure in every design to ensure the safety and comfort of the human race
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: September 13, 2019, 11:18:09 PM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?

This is a hilarious caption. Smiley. You deserve some award for the title. Anyway, like I always tell friends, the actual worth of your bounty tokens is calculated at the exchange not at ICO or IEO. Maybe you have to conduction your mind to this to help you manage expectations. Altcoin markets are bad at the moment
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Happened with ETH ? on: September 13, 2019, 11:10:27 PM
Let's not forget that ethereum is also an altcoin and presently the market isn't in favour of altcoin but for ethereum it is a good hold because it has higher percentage of acceptance unlike other altcoins, also remember there is possibility in the space, so ethereum could pull the stunt you least expected.

Irrespective of the fact that Ethereum as well as other altcoins are not fairing well in the market. That not withstanding, Ethereum has to rollout its plan and upgrade its blockchain as quickly as possible to solve its scalability issues. Its getting me and some other like minded enthusiasts pissed
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Coins on Stellar DEXes? on: September 13, 2019, 10:56:08 PM
Never heard about any of these coins mentioned. Thanks for the information. Something more to look for during this weekend.

I have not really traded much on stellar Dex. My first stellar trade is pizbe. I am a fan of the stellar blockchain and I will equally look out for more of these coins performance in the market. I have bookmarked the thread too
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Will be much better on: September 09, 2019, 11:45:07 PM
Looking with the charts few months back , lots of people is crying that the price is low
on crypto's little that they know its not that the coins will disappear, the reality is that
people before ignore the coins that are just being distributed for free, because of some mentality that
oh we don't need this shit coins, its garbage with no idea that it will be the biggest thing that will change a person's lives
they ignore it, now they are to late , the price before is very low now the price hits like 50% up
what do you think guys whats your opinion?
are they just late? or the coin is dying?
my answer is the coins is just getting started only the beginning

Cryptocurrency will certainly get better because people are getting informed about the utilities of this digital assets and how it can positively impact the world. Instead of death, I rather see evolution Brough about be modifications and regulations maybe to tailor it pleasantly to the centralized bodies or governments
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: September 09, 2019, 11:30:10 PM
Vince seems to be losing it's stride lately but they seem to be doing everything to regain it.. personally I think Binance is the best exchange presently because apart from it's volume( which remains high and seemingly genuine), it has proven to be safe, remember when Binance was hacked and millions of dollars worth of users funds were carted away? The funds were returned to those users who were affected, few exchanges has done this.

I totally agree with you. It is not just the security of funds offered by Binance exchange but the assurance of funds offered through the 'safu' funds too which we saw during the last hack worth about $40million. CZ has done alot to win hearts of cryptocurrency investors and that's why the exchange largely occupys the number one spot
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big prize for 1 participant in a signature campaign? on: September 09, 2019, 11:21:39 PM
If this should happen, I don't think the team will even be happy paying the full reward as they will think they didn't achieve enough in the campaign. However, let's assume it occurs, the first thing the bounty manager will do is to reduce the allocation of that campaign, then secondly checking the other campaigns with huge participants and increasing the allocation. In some cases, the allocation might be reduced and the token kept without being re-allocated to other campaigns.
I have never seen such, but should it happen, the bounty manager will do justice to it.

I don't the possibility of that happening. The probability is 0.01 because really, no sensible team will be happy to pay the whole tokens allocated to signature bounty campaign worth $25000 to one participant. It is not logical
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: September 09, 2019, 11:07:42 PM
In my opinion, BNB won't become the king of coins, but bitcoin will.
You can see the market cap of bitcoin is very far ahead from any of other altcoins in cryptocurrency.
BNB will need to surpass the ETH first to approach bitcoin position in the market.

BNB should usurp Ethereum position first before going even closer to bitcoin. In my opinion, I think bnb has been overbought and over shilled by the master CZ himself and if he doesn't continue to vigorously innovate and inject more usecases to the coin, it will drop out from top 10 coins
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Expectation And Reality In The Current Situation on: September 09, 2019, 10:58:53 PM
When 2019 started you have a lot of expectation especially when the price is moving up again from a very long bear trend, you expect that the price will reach another all-time high this year, because of a lot of great news like the Facebook coming in the market.

I'd like to ask the community, is your expectation close to the reality that we've experiencing right now?

Lol. It's very difficult to me meet financial or profit expectations in reality. Only few people finally realise that. Its first month of Q4 and I am yet to realise 1/3 of my crypto revenue goals for 2019. Well, there still time and since crypto is full of surprises we can remain hopeful.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: September 09, 2019, 10:08:30 PM
If Ethereum one day replaced Bitcoin - we will see a new market with new leader which can show capitalization much higher than BTC now.

While this looks technically and fiscally impossible, but on a softer note, at such event we can now expect double of current cryptocurrency market capitalization which means growth and adoption. But then I don't really see any of this coming to fruition
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you check crypto prices? on: September 09, 2019, 09:57:48 PM
everyday, but not everytime. maybe only once a day.

see price is an activity that is routinely carried out every day before leaving for work. I usually always read news about crypto (bitcoin / altcoin) and see coinmarketcap prices. it helps me to see and make predictions about what will happen in the future for my portfolio.

Just like the wall street, cryptocurrency does not sleep and I check prices every now and then. Coinstats is my home and cryptowhalebot on Telegram is my buddy. This is basically the lifestyle of an average cryptocurrency trader or investor because every price movement by bitcoin or Ethereum directly or indirectly affects your portfolio
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Will There Really Be An Altcoin Season or Just a plot to Keep us in the Loop on: September 09, 2019, 09:45:16 PM
While our altcoins keep depreciating in value daily as we keep vigil for altseason, bitcoin dominance has crossed 70% and keeps growing in strength. Will there really be an altseason.

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Dex exchanges are safe? on: September 09, 2019, 09:37:45 PM
I've been using dex exchanges like ddex, switcheo. They asked to connect wallet through metamask or trust wallet, I'm an android user so I'm using trust wallet to use these exchanges, i wanted to ask when we connect our wallet to a specific exchange is there any possibility to stole funds anyhow?
Since I started login my private key or my real wallet in a Decentralized Exchanges like etherdelta, fokdelta, Ddex, I didn't experience about losing funds between them. But I can hear saying that their funds get stole. So I think they did not notice that maybe they are login into the phishing sites, so be cautious all the time.

DEX are technically safer than CEX but not totally a hundred percenter because there has been a case of such hack where multitudes lost fund with Ether delta which led to some legal actions and fork to Forkdelta. So don't leave huge funds in wallets connected to an exchange
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why i prefer mining and investing in ICO/IEO on: September 09, 2019, 09:24:29 PM
Reasons why i prefer mining coins than investing a dime on IEO/ICO projects
1. My profits is assured.
I dont have to wait for a project to do x3 or whatsoever to get profits on my invested cash, with better mining rigs and good calculator you will know when your ROI will come.

2. No worries of getting scammed
I dont have to investigate an exchange before investing or wasting time doing research on projects before investing, all i do is mine ETH and sell for fiat or decides to hold for a little while.

Sincerely speaking, you have been Frank enough. Atleast with mining you are assured of some profits maybe not as huge or quick as ICO returns might be. Mining might even be considered as a better calculated investment than ICO because of the controls you have over it. All you need to do is get your mining rigs and calculations right, then you are good to go
