141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 11, 2022, 09:37:38 AM
Nice trade for 76ers, I don't know what would Nets do with Simmons. Drummond is a good addition and first round draft picks may come with good players in the long run but all these don't worth for Harden. They could get better players for Harden, I don't think they used him for a good trade.
Harden and Embiid may work well just like Shaq and Kobe or a better example, Mutombo and Iverson. I guess Sixers expect at least conference finals this year after this great trade.

I think Ben Simmons kind of tick a spot that the Nets has been missing, he's a great perimeter defender and he's also a good passer, he surely not a good shooter but I don't think the Net's would need him to do that since they've got Seth Curry as an addition, the Nets have really not been good defensively, so I think both teams got a good deal, but imo more for the Nets than for the 76ers, barring the fact they were able to be rid off a player that's got his soul and mind out from the franchise already.

Would you really play him in crunch time though?

I wouldn't trust him to hit free throws to save his life, and heck, if you criticize him too much he might just quit on his team again like with the 76ers.

Personally, the more I look at it, the more this seems like a bandaid solution to a long term issue. Nets have way too much going on and if you are counting on Seth Curry to win your championship, you're in deep trouble.

Wait, so the investor token is only entitled to 10% of profits?

That's pretty low if I may say so - usually most investor funded casinos give out at least 50% of profits if not way more than that.

Also, how much have the team put in? I find it quite hard to trust some random site that have just put together their operations that are already asking for funding.

If there's a hype, people will look into it.
But if there's not much interest into this trend, it will easily die down.
However, I am seeing that metaverse will gain its popularity because big gaming companies are already exploring this concept.
Just look at the list of companies that are now into this metaverse thing - FB, Epic Games, Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple - just to name a few.

https://www.xrtoday.com/virtual-reality/who-is-building-the-metaverse-a-group-of-160-companies-and-you/

So I am on the side that this metaverse thing will hit it off in the market because giant companies are already exploiting it.

I don't think so.

Who in their right minds would download a whole metaverse game just to gamble their money? It seems like a lot of hard work for someone who is probably just looking for a quick bet.

Especially with sportsbetting - why would you need a simulated reality application when the event is literally happening live, in person?
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 11, 2022, 04:33:00 AM
Huge deals this trade deadline.

I think that the 76ers probably overpaid to get rid of Ben Simmons. They have now gotten rid of a legitimate contributor in Seth Curry and also gave up substantial draft stock which is not a good thing whatsoever.

But hey, perhaps the locker room is getting very toxic right now in which case this is probably warranted.

Was surprise that Drummond was also included in the package, I mean he has log good minutes when Joel was resting and putting huge monster rebound. I guess that they really wanted to get rid of Ben Simmons and that is the consequence, Curry their best 3 point shooter and the big guy and then 2 big future first round picks?

And also for the Nets, they spend a good chunk of money to acquire and make the big 3, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore, injuries and the Kyrie drama really put the team in this position right now.

Yeah, I think that Nets won but realistically I don't think that this boosts their chances at a title anymore.

Their whole team is again a bunch of divas and misfits. I simply don't think that it's going to sustainable for them to keep playing these three people together, especially with Kyrie in and out of the lineup.

They need a whole lot more help around KD and I don't think that it has been delivered.

146  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io -Welcome to a new crypto friendly casino!!! on: February 04, 2022, 04:12:24 AM
I was having some conversation with Sportsbet live support few days ago. They had mentioned about Livecasino in their message to give answer of my inquiry. But I didn't give much attention to it as I was looking for something else. And I haven't heard about Livecasino before. The old ANN is completely inactive. Today I just found this ANN thread in gambling section and rechecked my conversation with Sportsbet support. Welcome back to the forum again! There is nothing to worry about the legitimacy of Livecasino as they are partner of old famous casino and bookie platforms.

I think that you should still be aware of the risks of playing on the platform.

Just because they are somehow affiliated with Bitcasino doesn't mean that Bitcasino will necessarily be willing to cover for any liabilities that are incurred potentially by Livecasino.

Not saying that OP is not legit, but you shouldn't blindly trust something due to its partners. It's still a distinct entity.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your opinion of the insurance industry? on: February 04, 2022, 03:41:19 AM
The concept is great but the actual implementation would be hard as it depends on the insurance company if they will adopt the DAO system or not. There are benefits of being transparent as it will hasten the long process in the insurance industry. If one big company will showcase the use of blockchain tech and show how they are doing and performing, it may be a very good example so these insurance companies will follow thru. There are already several insurance companies that are integrating blockchain tech in some of their operations. But no known big insurance company is known to have fully integrated blockchain tech up until now. I like blockchain tech owed to its transparency nature, because the adjusters or third party experts are prone to human bias.

You don't necessarily need the established insurers to adopt this model though.

There are plenty of high tech disruptors like Insurance and Nexus Mutual that are already doing this, providing insurance on DeFi applications for example.

So many possibilities, but it obviously depends on how much you trust a decentralized organisation to pay you out when everything is going south.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: February 04, 2022, 03:30:14 AM
I think that it's a bit of an overstatement.

You can definitely still get rich without any crypto investments - and in fact I'd argue that if your main job is investing in crypto you are likely not to see a lot of wealth come your way.

Establish your skillset and your niche. Don't chase high returns just because crypto is hot right now, but definitely put money into crypto as a store of value. That's for sure.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coin to farm right now on: February 04, 2022, 03:22:39 AM
In the past couple of years back we are not familiar with the term cryptocurrency farming not until the development of defi projects that see to the introduction of yield farming and since then many investors have dived in just to make some good profits from this new invention.
But to choose the right coin to farm is another vital aspect of it, so am kind of thinking to go into farming but my concussion is in choosing the coin to farm at the moment that will guarantee speedy profits.

I think that right now, with so much market volatility, you might want to farm some stablecoin pairs.

Specifically there are some great yields on the Fantom ecosystem with Spiritswap and Spookyswap, you can definitely get 20%+ APY on those.

Alternatively, take a look at the UST deposits on Anchor protocol - you are essentially making 19.5% on fiat with little risk.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: Metaverse real estate sales top $500 million, projected to double in 2022 on: February 04, 2022, 03:12:47 AM
The difference between metaverse real estate and real life real estate is that one has utility and the other one is completely for sure.

E.g. there are plenty of real estate projects where the only thing you can do with it is attach your own picture onto that plot of land.

There is really infinite amounts of real estate across multiple chains - you don't necessarily need to buy one particular one to build a business.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: February 03, 2022, 11:40:34 PM
If you can buy and hold now, it is good for you because the market is still very normal in 2022. If you buy this market, you will see that when the market conditions are good, you will get a good profit from it. That is why it is better to buy now and long.  You have to keep it for the time being and you will get profit from it
It's normal for people who understands the market trends, the situation is quite bearish already, for some they might panic and dump their holding, but for a wise investors, they will see the situation an opportunity to buy and to HODL until the bull market will eventually arrive.

Even more aware and experienced investors are not buying yet. As you wrote, the market is still bearish, so there is a very high probability that the prices of cryptocurrencies will continue to fall. Whoever buys when the price is at the bottom will earn the most. In my opinion, this is not the bottom yet.

You simply cannot time the bottom though.

Otherwise, you'd be earning a ton of money without much risk.

Everyone says buy low sell high obviously, but the hard part is to time these buys and sells. You're much better off as a long term believer in the technology and just DCA when prices are reasonably low and sell off chunks when prices are reasonably high, without specifically timing the market.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is SHIB coin going? on: February 03, 2022, 11:28:56 PM
SHIB has been stable lately. Are you expecting a pumping about this crypto soon? What are your expectations about SHIB in the near future? Will this project meet expectations? Its current value is $0.00002. How many dollars do you think it would be? Is it a crypto to be expected for investment? The market cap of $11 Billion and the amount of circulating supply is insane. Is it normal for it to be so low under these conditions?

Not particularly.

I think that there is significant room for it to keep going downwards in fact.

SHIB is one of the few coins/tokens that have absolutely zero value and will continue to drop so long as the bear market keeps churning along. There is virtually no usage case outside of being a meme, and people are obviously seeing the bubble pop with these tokens right now before their eyes.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 03, 2022, 11:25:00 PM
After the Lakers beat the Rip City, now they will be facing the LA Clippers who do not have their 2 superstars.

What do you think about this game? LA Lakers is on a back to back game while the LA Clippers are still doing an impressive basketball despite not having their superstars, will the Lakers beat the Clippers, or the other way around?

Probably the Lakers.

They just have way too much star power at the end of the day that I think will simply overwhelm the Clips.

The Clips have been on a very good run lately, but I don't think that this will necessarily continue on into the future given that they don't have Kawhi and PG. Would take a very valiant effort to stay close to the Lakers.

Interesting! I do like the idea of skill based games.

I think that there is a lack of good PvP games in the market so if you guys can capture a dominant position in this genre, you will do very well.

At the end of the day though, you need to make sure that there is sufficient liquidity and players in these PvP games to make it worthwhile for people to play at. Otherwise they might be waiting for ages just to get someone matched up against them.
155  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pragmatic play slots not available in my region on: February 03, 2022, 10:57:33 PM
Hi, I love slots and I play slots whenever I have a chance to but as much as I love playing slots I don't really earn much in them. Nostly the good games are not available in my region and it really sucks. Can someone explain why they don't give access to games with great payout to people from other regions? I find it quite unfair.

It's nothing to do with whether it has a great payout, that's probably false and you've probably fooled yourself into thinking it will somehow be a winning game for you - they're all just set up to feed profits to the casino. To answer your point however, there may be certain games that are legal in your jurisdiction that are offered by a casino and some may be offered by the casino but restricted because they are illegal in your region. Like, it might be possible to play games that follow a lottery or raffle structure, often considered a more mild form of gambling. However anything like slots might be strictly prohibited - the casino doesn't want to lose a customer so will only offer you certain things or direct you somewhere that can accommodate you.

Actually there are certain games which have higher RTP - and the casinos are generally required to disclose that sort of information to the player.

However, it just has nothing to do with the brand of the slot per se. The RTP within each brand varies quite drastically - as well as across brands.

So really it's a matter of personal preference. You can either risk it with a VPN (which I don't advise) or just choose another slot and be safe with it.

Hey Folks! Happy New Year! Let it be just perfect Smiley
It's been a while since the last updates here. Did you already buy our tokens after its listing?
We have prepared some info about the token to explain why we are the only casino that shares its income with players.
While working on the post we found out that The Hold To Earn program has already brought $669 469 to the TFS owners!

I think that this is not necessarily true?

There are plenty of casinos out there that allow individual investors to participate in the bankroll and get a percentage of all gaming profits. Centralized or decentralized.

I do like the site and the idea of tokenizing a stake in the casino business for the players, but you need to be upfront about your competitors. There are definitely other operators within the scene who offer a similar tokenized equity system (perhaps just not as big as yours Smiley )

Hey timerland, just can not stop thinking about your comment. Could you, please, share some examples of the same programs? Would appreciate, thanks!

I believe that BitDice has a token called CSNO and it does something similar?

Chips.gg also have their $CHIPS token which pays dividends, and IIRC Betfury has a $BFG token which also pays out regular dividends on BSC.

EOSBet used to be a thing as well, but I don't think that they are operational anymore. But that should give you an indication that your competitors have already done this system before. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The matter is not in the token. The main point is that a player can get additional tokens without spending their own money. So you can play, get tfs tokens as a cashback, or it is better to say rakeback, since a player gets additional tokens to any bet and the same moment he made this bet. Without waiting for days or weeks. Then, he can hold these tokens and get the additional rewards in tokens. Everything he needs to do is to hold the tokens he won in Play To Earn or bought.

We prepared a guide on the Hold To Earn program with detailed explanations how it works. You will see that there are no projects that share their income just for doing nothing. Just hold the token and get additional tokens.

I understand now, thanks!

The APYs on staking the TFS token is very juicy - are there any risks attached to it?

Also I was wondering if there is any plans of integrating this token on more exchanges rather than just Pancakeswap so that people get a bit more liquidity in case they do need to cash out? Thanks for answering all the questions!
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 03, 2022, 03:06:55 AM
Been enjoying watching the young Memphis team play with swagger all year.  Ja is going to be the face of the nba soon enough (pissed the Knicks were one pick short of ja Sad)

Tonight Memphis comes to MSG, would like to see the Knicks stopping messing around and play some inspired basketball.  Winning tonight would go a long way to changing the course of the season.  RJ better be up for this game.  Wild card is quentin grimes keeping Bane and/or ja in check.  Hope thibs starts grimes need his d out there tonight.

Morant is definitely an up and coming MVP in my opinion.

However, I wouldn't bet my money on him staying healthy the whole way. The way he plays is very Rose-esque and I don't feel like it is particularly sustainable.

Hopefully he does without his one-legged landings and start to work on the way he preserves his body as well as how he actually plays.

Yeah I definitely see D'Rose and Tmac on him but due to his weak body build versus the amount of strains in his body whenever he is performing a suicide makes me think that he will not gonna last longer on his career. He needs a  good power forward team mate that will this kind of work for him especially on man to man defense time. There was a time that his guard overwhelmed him but still he is trying so hard to reach in and make a basket. He is playing like Bron while his body is not suitable.

Exactly - his frame is not built to be withstanding this type of impact.

And he seems to be going all-in every time he goes to the hoop. That is both a virtue and could be his downfall as well given that he is either going to posterize you completely or land awkwardly.

Already have had several close calls with him. The Memphis front office hopefully is warning him about this.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I’m done with trash coins!! Looking for something promising on: February 03, 2022, 02:47:07 AM
I’m fairly new to the crypto trading/buying realm. But what I’ve noticed is that lots of coins for a STUPID low price which are just trash. How DOGE is worth anything over $0.15 is beyond me. Either way, I purchased ~100m SHIB when it was somewhat lower, bout 3x on average what I put in (unrealized gains) but, with the amount in circulation (which I did not know until after the purchase) it’s quite clear that SHIB is unlikely to moon.

So what I’m getting at is, what is a stupid cheap yet promising asset I could look into. How do I find these new ICO’s or underperforming assets? When I see on Crypto com an asset that went up 60% in their gainers charts, I just wonder where these people getting their info to get in before hand and what moves the price.

While this is indeed temporary, I’m looking for stupid cheap but promising in long run, not necessarily moon this day and tank tomorrow

It's much harder said than done to find truly undervalued projects.

I personally think that you're much better off just forgetting about chasing above market returns and instead simply buy a market index - sort of like an index fund, but with various cryptocurrencies.

It's good that you are realizing the fact that most coins are completely worthless and there is no reason for the crazy valuations though. That's definitely the first step in the right direction.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra/Diem is dead? on: February 03, 2022, 02:40:08 AM
Well the thing is there was never any value in their project to begin with.

They had no existing synergies in the financial space, it was clear that regulators would seek to shut them down as soon as they started, etc.

I doubt that this is going to be their last crack at blockchain tech though. It is clear that there is a lot of money flowing into this space, and Meta has never been late to these parties.
160  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: February 03, 2022, 02:31:18 AM
For me i experienced this twice in sports betting..

I have a good winning streak with good amount just recently (lastweek)    from the 12 bets i made i only lost 1.. then after that live betting was gone and removed and i received a notification of live match betting was under maintenance.. But upon checking on other betting sites live betting works perfectly..  and because of my stupidity and disapointment i did play on live casino then i lost 400$ and guess what... just a seconds live sports betting was instantly available...    same scenario with my 11winning streak on NCAA matching on thesame website..  live match betting removed after winning streak.. but on other site like fortunejack livematch betting was available....

I doubt that it is because of yoru winning streak.

Live match betting has always been a headache for both players and casinos. Sportsbooks have to constantly adjust their odds which they may not necessarily want to do in the middle of a game.

Don't be too surprised if this is disabled near the end of the game or when the margins are super big - it's just something that you will have to live with.
