Update:
Scheduled Delivery:
Monday, 10/12/2015, By End of Day

Last Location:
Departed - Shenzhen, China, Thursday, 10/08/2015

Im thinking that if you ordered 1 day ahead of me your order will be shipped tomorrow? Good luck. And never buy batch 1 from Bitmain again : )

I got a weird call from someone identifying themselves as DHL Saturday night.  They indicated I had a shipment from China worth over $2500 in customs and they needed my SSN to process it.   Is this a new US Government action?  This is the first time I've exceeded that value in a single order.

I have not heard anything from BitMain, but I did get two text from DHL yesterday.  The first one came in the morning and had a bad tracking number.  The second came last night and is the same as above.  FYI - my order date was 9/2/2015.  Now just hoping I don't miss the doorbell ringing.

I ordered two on Sept 4th and have nothing yet....

I ordered two on Sept. 2nd, along with (3) of their power supplies.  Got the power supplies right away, no word on the S7s.  Sent two e-mails to Jacob Smith that have gone unanswered as well.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][1CR] 1CRedit Coin Relaunch on: September 23, 2015, 02:35:30 PM
Something strange with coins - after 1 hour, with 100MH/s - mined only 3 1CR (tested in two pools). Estimated coins 810/day. This is bad pools, or coin?

I spot checked the seed server this morning and we are above minimum difficulty, so it should be averaging around 8.5 minutes/coin.  Note that can swing a lot due to the relatively low number of miners.

OK - per the log, we are vacillating a bit.  Apparently we had a "hard" block around 8:30am UTC that took about 5 hours, but its been churning nicely since.  Current block number is 33397.

Remember that confirmations take about a day, so a few hour hickup isn't anything horrendous.

Update:  Finally replaced a Pi that fried its SDHC card and have a pair of Black Widows back online crunching against 1credit.  That adds about 26MH/s to the network, which should help a bit.

Always looking for ways to improve, without letting it get carried away.   Somehow one has to discourage micro-transactions to limit the number per block - if you allow for larger blocks it might have the effect of encouraging more small transactions.

Note that blocks are variable in size, from as little as around 1K up to the limit of 16k.  This will also have the effect of keeping the block chain smaller...  I noticed over the weekend that Bitcoin is already pushing 50GB just for the full blockchain.  Doesn't sound like much, except that in windows that is stored in %appdata%, one of those hidden directories associated with your user.  If your trying to live on a 250GB SSD boot device - that is a lot.

Thanks for the charts.  Nice to see someone understands!

Active Dev... but the coin is stable.  I put out a checkpoint now and then, but otherwise its just running as designed.

You can check out http://1creditcoin.org and likely find me on IRC channel #1credit

Thanks for your support!  1Credit has been stable for over a year now and continues to trade over on Poloniex!

some relaunch get pumped before die again btw, I saw in the past many 2.0 coins, and many of them was pumped, just to let old investor exit with a little profit.

Well, I'm not sure a single post qualifies as a "pump", but it does inform those that past problems have now been fixed.  I'm quite pleased with the coins performance now, its hitting it target of 169 coins a day (one every 512 seconds) very very regularly now.

Cheers,

Cassey
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][1CR] 1Credit: New wallet as of block 16175 on: May 02, 2015, 11:27:39 PM
All 1Credit users should immediately download the latest wallet from http://www.1creditcoin.org or from the source at https://githhub.com/1credit/1credit.

This wallet was announced via Twitter and the website prior to block 16175 and is now mandatory.

The great news is that blocktimes have stabilized.  The original swing was just too wild to make the coin reliable.  By significantly deepening the depth of the Kimoto Gravity Well algo, we appear to have stabilized the coin.  24 hour block averages are now dead on target.

Thanks for your continued support!

Ah, forgot about Gyft and PurseIO for Amazon.  Alas, last time I went to buy from Newegg, bitcoin was only accepted if they sold it directly.  Given how they have become a front store for so much now, it makes it harder.

Thanks!

Bump.  Looking for someplace that sells Davis weather stations and accepts bitcoins.  Ambient Weather would be my 2nd choice.

Any links?

Still in the works, in fact the author posted a utube video update a few weeks ago.
153  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S4 Setup [HD] on: December 24, 2014, 03:09:48 PM
My only problem is the noise, Has anyone else modded the firmware to adjust the speed of the fans???

Also is there anyway to add a power on & power off scheduler, The miner being so loud i'm only running it during the day

I wanna be able to set it up to run between 7am & 8pm everyday...

You may find running them at 100MHs quiets them down enough for you.  They are very power efficient at that speed (for their generation), and you might be able to forgo the whole timer thing.

In the other thread there is a firmware mod to lower the fans, you'll have to search for it though.

I'm not sure a timer will work on the S4 as its quite picky about requiring a hard (PSU) restart once you drop a module or chip out.

Not to mention needing to press the little button on the power supply once power is restored.  In order to use a timer, you could need to replace the power supply as well with one that auto-restarted.
155  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S4 Setup [HD] on: December 23, 2014, 12:54:34 PM
well... that is unexpected.  The root password for ssh is different than for the root login via the web?

ps.  Thanks!

Yeah it is, you'll find the Bitmain ones in my FAQs.

S4 only, the S3 uses the web set root password.  Tis cool - just needed to know.

Is there any way to SSH into an S4?  I can get into my S3s just fine, but it looks like the default sshd config has root login prevented, and there are no other logins that I know off.  Any magic?
158  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S4 Setup [HD] on: December 23, 2014, 12:27:26 AM
Thanks for the very useful information, Dogie!

Has anyone here from the U.S. ordered the S4 directly from Bitmain? I recently placed an order via Wire, and am awaiting confirmation. Just wondering how everyones experience went with them.

I ordered (3) from them over the past month and a half, all arrived within a week without problems.
159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Black Friday Deals 0.409USD/GH/s, FREE International Shipping on: December 04, 2014, 04:04:42 AM

Your Desired Clock Speed (depends Gh/s) x 0.00358(my constant) = Optimum Voltage Settings.
example if you want to use 187.5Mhz x 0.00358 = 0.671 V will be best energy eff. adjust.

Trying this on one of my S4s vs. the previous recommended 0.685V at 187.5.

Been running a few hours, so far, so good.

BTW all - I'm happy to report that http://www.multicoinpool.org 's sysop has modified his pool to remember the last difficulty a miner had when switching coins.

This has resulted in 3 days of no errors and no dips in output on my S4s.

Diff is sitting at 8K on (2) of my boxes and 4k on (1).
