141  Other / Meta / Re: Sticky in Electrum subboard on: April 04, 2020, 07:00:10 PM
It is a good idea, but why did you shorten it to Electrum...

Well simple:

Electrum - no sticky info
Bitcoin Wallet for Android - there is not only 1 so providing info regarding some would be like free advertising and promoting
BitcoinJ - not that often used (from my knowledge) and has a few sticky threads
Armory - has a few sticky threads
Mycelium - pretty straight forward to get: Google Play / App Store and download (a sticky might not be that relevant)

This was my logic and the only one lacking in this department is Electrum.
Not saying anything fancy, just correct website, latest version, and maybe some important info like most frequent error, the attempt with update alerts with malware code, etc.

We are in a forum led by the community, you can create or ask to create a suitable topic as it is not difficult. AFAIK mods/Global Moderator can Sticky topics.

Will try to put together something then.
Thanks Smiley

P.S  Would still be welcomed even with a "welcome message" as you can just add a link and that's it. If the future welcome message is 5000 words long it might be hard to digest, like the "terms and conditions" in most software that nobody reads or the forum rules Smiley)
142  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair dice game 🎲 Up to 30% Rakeback💰7-day streak bonus🔥 on: April 04, 2020, 04:38:47 PM
After today's maintenance captcha for 7-Day Streak not working

Code:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 ()
143  Other / Meta / Sticky in Electrum subboard on: April 04, 2020, 04:09:45 PM
Noticed that in the wallet software forum there is no sticky post in the Electrum subboard

I think it would be beneficial to have some main info visible like official site where to download, any possible issues, possible FAQ (like malware update message and others).
It is used by many and would be a nice addition to have a thread about this always visible and preferably up to date Smiley

I'm just using it, not a hard-core user that can get into the nitty gritty.
While writing I did a search and found that this request was made a while ago but to no avail.

So what do you say ? Worth it ?

Oh, nothing happened, I'm still the same person who managed the previous competitions Smiley

Might want to update the promotion link on the platform. Lucky number still redirects to old topic about this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5205918.0

The bitcoin Bodyguard
"Get ready for bitcoin mass addoption"

Made me think about a LN easy to use hardware wallet (tho pretty sure that's not what it's about... would be cool tho Smiley)).)
Bitcoin Bodyguard sounds weird.
A simple slogan can do wonders. "Get secure for Bitcoin mass adoption" or smth in those lines I guess
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Toilet Paper Token in Yobit on: April 04, 2020, 09:56:28 AM
I hope no people will get rekt for this trip of Yobit. And I don't think so that most of the trade orders there are true or from its customers or users of that exchange. I really hope that because it is really a devastating once this shitcoin will vanish.
Even this shitcoin will continue to trade on their exchange, I hope people will know or spot this trip, this is really a trip for April fools of coinmarketcap, I really didn't expect this will happen in such exchange.

I had a look on cryptotalk about this and found a thread (in russian so understood what I could with google translate) and users were saying they bought that (fair enough, most speculative, but still) and admins/moderators had nothing to say. Just kept announcing new IEO and other shits. This has to be a new low, even for Yobit
147  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: April 04, 2020, 12:28:13 AM
I already don't like the way clicking on +merit takes you away from the thread.  Can you please have it open in a new window?
Obviously it's really needed to send merit to the newbie and most effective users.
I already requested to the forum admin for this update to be applied.
It will be more easy way to send merit to anyone.

Just click with the mouse wheel...
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi never used bitcointalk: Craig Wrigth on: April 03, 2020, 06:58:21 PM
One should understand that , if he is Satoshi he does not need to actually be this worked up about something that he was actually hiding since forever.

I guess some sort of streisand effect

Just ignore him

I guess you're right...
Sorry for bringing it up then. Will lock a bit later
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi never used bitcointalk: Craig Wrigth on: April 03, 2020, 06:26:15 PM
This is why his lies find some ears to hear them...
Because he starts with true facts and then derails.

Satoshi did not use bitcointalk.org - that I can believe.

At first the forum was on bitcoin.org (bitcoin.org/smf and then forum.bitcoin.org)
Then it was moved to bitcointalk.org in 2011, so after satoshi disappeared

After that he claims that (and here he starts to derail) in the migration process satoshi's posts (his - cought-) were doctored by staff.

Says that archive sites can be doctored but used one of them (wayback machine) to make the same point.

I would love to actually see his every word debunked. So threads here will analyse and put to rest any lies he will spread.
Maybe it's time to fight the idiot monster, not lock him in the closet.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Toilet Paper Token in Yobit on: April 03, 2020, 03:55:59 PM
Maybe OP can change title to something more clear "Yobit April Fools Scam"
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Toilet Paper Token in Yobit on: April 03, 2020, 02:14:41 PM
I doubt there will be an investment in there.

I really hope you are just ignorant... or a complete moron.
CMC whipped up a ERC20 token as a prank. All 8kk supply are in CMC wallet
What does yobit allow users to trade ? Just numbers in a spreadsheet (as usual)
1.5 BTC 24h Volume ... pfff
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Toilet Paper Token in Yobit on: April 03, 2020, 01:50:04 PM
I am sure there were enough greedy fools who decided to try their luck on this speculation, then such people scream that they were deceived, while they themselves are to blame for everything.

While I agree that people's greed was a big factor, you cannot say they are to blame for everything. The fact that yobit listed this actual joke of a token and makes money from transaction fees (fees are in BTC, not this TPT crap)

The fact that a few wanted to make a quick buck with this is understandable. The fact that yobit facilitates that is not !

I read some posts where users actually bought this crap. Yobit should really pay for this !

155  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][1+ year passed] on: April 03, 2020, 10:08:41 AM
As far as I can tell, the recovery team only works for people that have lost access (passwrod mostly) to their accounts. A ban for plagiarism is in other whole level and I pretty much doubt the team can do something about it.

I don't know why I kept thinking that he was hacked. Yes, you are right! No use contacting them.
Guess my paranoia gets the better of me some times Smiley)

...since i saw the proofs of coinlocket$ and also stumbled across this thread i see the unban relatively sceptical again...

So it might not be just a blatant plagiarism attempt after all...
Tried to help out but seems OP has lots of skeletons in his closet.

Pace !
156  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][1+ year passed] on: April 03, 2020, 09:57:48 AM
I'm eagerly waiting for the staff's decision and I really hope they'd give me a chance.

You should also send an email to the recovery team with one of those signed messages. Just a thread in meta might not be sufficient

Hope it works out for the best Smiley

Can you sign a message from an old address?
Unedited post mentioning the bitcoin address: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5112783.msg49854731#msg49854731
Bitcoin address: 17MECMPH3haxj9s3xKkqpLnmXvpVhdytf8
That post was created one month before you opened this topic. If your account changed owner before getting banned, the address is most likely posted by someone who isn't the original owner.
Account GreatOrchid was created in 2014, you're showing a post from 2019.

Found these 2 also if op's address post might not be considered old enough...

GL and hope the account gets into the correct hands Smiley

This nut job is at it again. But now he's taking the fight to our back yard!

https://bitcoinist.com/satoshi-never-used-bitcointalk-craig-wright/

It's mind boggling how this individual can throw claims like this with so many proof against him. Or did he start to believe the fictions he is blabbering...

Seems Toilet-Paper-Coin OP did not like my post...

So there is the next question why are the download not from the github ?

Simple: Not his repo ! He just made the malware wallet. And can be a generic one since we are talking about ERC20. An EVIL MEW of sorts...

The owner of the repo did not need wallet.... because it's ETH token... Tongue
