141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth is weaker than you think on: October 18, 2017, 06:16:27 PM
I think that the whole crypto world is still in a beta testing stage. Nothing is perfect. It cannot be yet and it's OK because all cryptos are basically still in development, I think none of them is a final finished product yet.
So just be patient, excuse some bugs and mistakes and we'll see in 10 years how things will look like Smiley
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of Bittrex blocking withdrawals for "security" reasons on: October 17, 2017, 09:06:26 PM
Well, it's really unprofessional from their side, they really should have inform everybody about this BEFORE limiting all accounts.
However, my bet is that they didn't do it because they wanted to, but because they were forced to do it by some government bullshit. I thus wouldn't be so pissed off at them, maybe it's not their choice.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: October 17, 2017, 05:54:32 PM
FYI: The new Q&A Mysterium update has been published by the Myst team just a while ago: https://medium.com/mysterium-network/you-asked-we-answered-pt-2-ee55344c2d3c

Hmm, it looks like it helped a bit, there is suddenly a 3+3 BTC buy wall on Bittrex...
I hope that people will start believing in the project more, now that they will at least publish the development upgrades every 2 weeks instead of once per month.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: October 15, 2017, 09:42:44 PM
Is there anyway to earn extra Mysterium network tokens by way of mining or staking it?

I don't think so. As long as I know, the number of tokens is fixed for now, you will be able to earn them when the decentralized VPN is launched by providing you bandwidth (being a node).
I think that the only way to get the Myst tokens now is from the market (Bittrex, Liqui).
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: October 15, 2017, 03:48:47 PM
I successfully utilized the unexpected opportunity to buy at 35k satoshi by replacing my other token by BNT. I feel much more glad that total cost per token has declined for me whereas number of my total BNT token has increased significantly in last couple of days.

Yep, looks like now is better time to buy then ever. I doubt it will ever be cheaper (BTC price).
Actually I don't think BNT will rise very high before 25th, but still... after that it can get very interesting.

What will happen on the 25th?

The Bitcoin Gold fork of BTC will take place on the 25th of October. Then there is also the possible BTC fork in mid-November due to the Segwit2x update.
That's why the market is quite turbulent right now and also the reason why people are probably selling altcoins and accumulating BTC... to get the free coins from the fork(s).
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: October 15, 2017, 03:39:45 PM
sorry for the lazy question but how much was raised during the ico? seems like maybe their are some good entry points comming up looking at the chart

If I remember well, their have raised about $14 mil. Current market cap is around $11.5 mil. and it looks like the market doesn't want to go lower, so it might be a good entr point as you say.
However, the whole altcoin market is quite turbulent now because of the BTC forks, so also the Myst price movement is unpredictible. But my guess is that it can go only up from the current level.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Inquiry] What would you do? Meaning what should I do... on: October 14, 2017, 05:46:36 PM
In general I would say that both options you listed are good. The main difference between them in my opinion is that option 1 (BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP) is much less risky, but also eventual profit is smaller. With the other coins listed in option 2 your risk is higher, but also profit. So it's up to you if you are a "conservative" investor who wants to sleep well, or an adventurer who doesn't mind risk and possible loss Wink
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN GOLD IS A JOKE ??????????????????????????????? on: October 14, 2017, 05:41:55 PM
It's hard to say if the Bitcoin price increase is only because of the Bitcoin Gold fork. I personally don't think so.
Moreover, it's now well know that Bitcoin Gold is massively premined, so nobody is expecting much from it.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: October 14, 2017, 05:17:59 PM
BNT overhyped right? Never let investors make money, and always going all time low. Very sad.

Well, at least they already developed and launched their smart token platform and first smart tokens were already created.
I thus think that BNT can go only up from now as more and more smart contracts will be continuously created and they will use (and buy) BNT for their reserve.

VOTED!

I urge all Facebook users to visit this page, apply to the page (if not already) and vote for onion. We're lagging behind NEO at the mo. It would be huge achievement to displace a currency as strong as that.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/246479302178538/permalink/915138085312653/

DeepOnion is number one!

Go and make more votes, I see many people in there asking what is DeepOnion and where do I get it.. Presence increases demand. Demand increases prices.
Let's get the word out about DeepOnion.

I voted already... it looks like we are winning all possible polls out there Smiley
Here it really shows that we have a great and strong community, which is willing to help DeepOnion succeed.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 |ANN| MYSTERIUM NETWORK - Decentralized VPN built on blockchain |MYST| on: October 14, 2017, 10:11:36 AM
This project's price is heavily under ico, I think this is not good, but your idea is good, you can help Chinese people to surf the outside the local and limited network.

Yes, the project itself is good, but the price is very low right now. Which is a bad thing if you are already holding the Myst tokens, but is good when you are thinking of investing into it Smiley
In long term it's actually good when the price falls down for some time... weak hand sell and real supporters can buy cheaply.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops and ICOs doing it, worth it? on: October 12, 2017, 09:58:39 PM
I'm currently participating in the DeepOnion airdrop and it's definitely worth the time spent. The community is growing fast, devs are the most active ones I've seen so far and we're getting about $500-$800 worth of DO every week... can it possibly be better? Wink
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chart of the Day | Today's big Gainer on: October 11, 2017, 06:12:46 PM
Oh, I really don't like all these animated charts. Normal chart would do the same job, without being annoying.
Regarding the price, I don't think we can expect much from altcoins in general before the Bitcoin fork.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP][MOON] First Financial Institution uses XRP on: October 10, 2017, 06:09:52 PM
Ropple is indeed growing very fast, they have more and more partnerships with financial institutions so there is a big potential. What bothers me is that they focus on banks, not on ordinary users like us. So it might be a good investment (ot not), but it seems that they don't aim to be everyday use currency.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Initial exchange price. on: October 10, 2017, 11:14:12 AM
Hello, could someone please explain how the price after ICO on the exhanges is decided? Is it up to the exchange to decide what the start price should be? I know it then changes proportionally to its market cap but I don't understand how/who decides if each coin is going to be worth 1$, 1.10$ or 1.20$ (for example) when the coin has just been listed.

Also, ENJ coin is currently in pre-sale but they will be doing public crowdsale next month.  What is the difference between pre-sale and public crowdsale?

Thank you.

The start price on any exchange is also defined by the market - the users of the exchange. When the trading starts, buy and sell orders start appearing and it is up to everybody at which price they are willing to sell and buy. That's why there are often big spikes in price at the beginning of trading - someone didn't have a clue and bought at 10x real price because that was the lowest sell order at that time Smiley
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QTUM/BTC - BUY now for FREE meal ^^ on: October 10, 2017, 10:57:16 AM
Yes, Qtum has big potential, so I agree it is a good investment. But will all altcoins falling now, probably because people want to accumulate BTC before the forks(s), the price may get even lower in the following days, which will be a very good buy opportunity.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 13 of 40 Rounds on: October 10, 2017, 10:25:27 AM
DeepOnion with DeepVault v1.3 Released! Update recommended.

Thanks for the great news devs, can't wait to try it. DeepVault is a great feature in my opinion, it's good that the file hash is stored on the blockchain, so there's no way it can be modified.

I would maybe add one advantage that was not mentioned in the post, but is very important. The DeepVault does not only prove that some file is unmodified original, it can also prove when it was created. This can be very useful for example for some authorship / patent disputes, where it is important to show who authored some documents first. With DeepVault, we'll be able to show in which block the file hash was recorded, which gives also proof of time.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin before the hardfork? on: October 09, 2017, 06:42:36 PM
It's very hard to say if it will be more profitable to hold BTC or buy altcoins, but I'm actually also considering buying some alts just before the fork for discounted prices. Time will tell if it was better than holding BTC.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 13 of 40 Rounds on: October 08, 2017, 08:32:10 PM
Hello,

Do you think it's possible to register for the airdrop with the same IP ? Because my gf has a Bitcointalk account but since we live together we have the same wi-fi.a

I’m not sure it DeepOnion looks at forum IPs or not. As long as you have 2 accounts in good standing with the AirDrop requirements you should be fine...

DeepOnion mods should not be able to check your BCT IP's. (privacy). DeepOnion wallet is hiding IP's. So nothing to be scared off.
Please be aware (or others with bad intentions) there are much more ways to check for double accounts!.

If your intentions are correct however, just sign-up, follow all rules and be happy!

I don't know, you have to register also at the DO forum and devs see your IP there. Even if your intentions might be good, devs may or may not believe that it's your girlfriend and not you if you have the same IP.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Price Speculation on: October 08, 2017, 02:46:14 PM
The price just after the fork is very hard to guess, but my opinion is that it will become just another random altcoin, exactly like bitcoin cash.
And most people will probably sell it immediately to get some free real Bitcoins, which will not help the price to go up Smiley Unless there's some artificial pump of course.
