141  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: February 28, 2014, 03:50:22 PM
Yes your bitcoins are only "locked" for a week at a time.  Payouts are every Sunday.

Thats correct, but still the overall investment is about a timeframe of 5 years. As we recently have seen, 5 years is a long time in bitcoin world.

Yes, but do the math, in how much time u will get ur investment back. So after that its all profit.

Yes, but thats speculation.
I have also some gh at pbmining but id feel much better if there was an option to define a contract to cap my risk while still taking advantage.

Of course its just a suggestion to attract more customers and make the thing more legit. There could be a simple rebate system for longer contracts, which would make it still profitable and attractive for both parties. I think quite a few users would prefer that. I also understand that there is a risk for the company to purchase too much hardware if the contracts are too short. However, i think there could be some middle way that is interesting for both parties - buyer and seller.

For the safety of myself and my family.  You would be surprised at how many extortionists want to get their hands on some easy Bitcoins.  Thank you.

The thing is, if i invest with you my coins are locked 5 years. I currently have 2 BTC on betsofbitco.in which is a very bad feeling as teh owners simply stopped responding and people report widthdrawal problems.

I would feel much more safe if there was an option to adjust the contract timeframe. 6 months is something very different than 5 years.

Interesting service considered the prices, but why are owner identities hidden?

145  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bets of Bitcoin - Bitcoin betting on real world events on: February 19, 2014, 04:49:21 PM
I have two long term bets and I already consider my btc as lost. I have seen the same problems in login as others and the site is very slow but it worked after a few tries.

Could this be him?
https://twitter.com/CoinJedi
I don't have a twitter account but someone could try to contact him

No idea,
however, thus far simply the fact that there is no response on support request / contact is annoying.

All withdrawals have been processed for me so far.

Concerning the "My Profile" issue, sometimes it takes a fw tries to get the site to load.
146  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bets of Bitcoin - Bitcoin betting on real world events on: February 15, 2014, 08:34:42 AM
The current situation with no feedback from the siteowners is provoking to say the least.

If they abandon the project there should be a public statement, open bets cancelled and funds cashed out.
If the project is to be continued, there also should be a public statement explaining why and how the current situation could evolve.
147  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bets of Bitcoin - Bitcoin betting on real world events on: February 12, 2014, 05:40:11 PM
I wrote a serious email asking questions - No response! (Wrote the email roughly 7 days ago)

However, i  never had a problem using the site, all withdraws have been processed in time, but i was warned by different users here and on irc so i decided to drop the owner a mail and see what he has got to say.

For me personally 1.7 btc are on the line

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MAX COIN POOL BOUNTY (help fix stratum-mining) and start new pools! on: February 08, 2014, 05:23:30 PM
People with wrong settings on cudaminer get a huge hashrate, but actually the miner is not mining (GPU load below 20%). Resulting on a pool with millions of invalid shares, Ddosing the db. If a botnet does that or multiple uisers the pools goesdown on I/o put through ---- my humble conclusion.

Miners run on windows 7 sadly as the prop driver setup for ubuntu has just stressed and made me quit.

the CPU had a lot better hashrate on xubuntu. CPU is intel I5 2500K bit overclocked, card is geforce 9800gtx. cudadriver is 5.5

Btw, for those mining on a GTX 670, these are the settings I am using. Giving me peaks at 112585 khash/s.

-C 2 -L 64 -H 2 -l K600x32

If anyone has a better config, please share it Smiley

I'm mining at ~150MHashes I wish I'd started mining before the difficulty went above 800 Tongue

Would you be so kind an tell me which miner and pool are you using, iam trying for 6 hours straight!!

I mined all night on rocketpool, woke up to a message saying they are not working. My worker was hashing but they don't let anyone set a payout address.

So --- you could try this http://max.1gh.com/ but I think there is a long wait for payout.

Which miner software do you use?

I  want to mine a I5 Intel CPu and a NVIDIA RIG of 9800GTX+ cards

Anyway i tried i get no valid shares
