For the safety of myself and my family. You would be surprised at how many extortionists want to get their hands on some easy Bitcoins. Thank you.

For the safety of myself and my family. You would be surprised at how many extortionists want to get their hands on some easy Bitcoins. Thank you. The thing is, if i invest with you my coins are locked 5 years. I currently have 2 BTC on betsofbitco.in which is a very bad feeling as teh owners simply stopped responding and people report widthdrawal problems. I would feel much more safe if there was an option to adjust the contract timeframe. 6 months is something very different than 5 years.

You will have your bitcoins every week and in three months you will have all the invested bitcoins back. Then for the rest of the time you will have every week other bitcoins as a pure profit.

Yes your bitcoins are only "locked" for a week at a time. Payouts are every Sunday. We have no intention of changing the contract term.

Thats correct, but still the overall investment is about a timeframe of 5 years. As we recently have seen, 5 years is a long time in bitcoin world.

I have also some gh at pbmining but id feel much better if there was an option to define a contract to cap my risk while still taking advantage. Of course its just a suggestion to attract more customers and make the thing more legit. There could be a simple rebate system for longer contracts, which would make it still profitable and attractive for both parties. I think quite a few users would prefer that. I also understand that there is a risk for the company to purchase too much hardware if the contracts are too short. However, i think there could be some middle way that is interesting for both parties - buyer and seller.

Isn't it the case where the longer the contract the better? A shorter contract just means less value for you. As far as I can tell, there is zero benefit to a shorter term.

Yes, but it could be calculated like 50% of time = 50% of cost + 5% price markup for additional risk for the company - just an example

Yes, but it could be calculated like 50% of time = 50% of cost + 5% price markup for additional risk for the company - just an example What you need to consider is that a contract half the length wouldn't be half the price. A 6 month contract would probably be 70% (Rough estimate!) of a 5 year contract as the difficulty increase is a compounding effect. If you want shorter contracts with a higher and more immediate final payout, PBM isn't for you. If you want to be able to trade GHs, PBM isn't for you. If you want a consistent long term investment, with weekly payouts, no fees but great support, then PBM is for you. Also, a note of the lack of address and name linked with PBM, i take great comfort in the fact they have no idea who i am, and i certain the feeling is mutual!

INdeed, the anonymity at all is a plus, but i still hold my position that eventually customers would pay a markup just to be on the safe side. That this costs additional funds is obligatory. I thought about a slider that proportionally calculates the price depending on the contract timeframe.

I am happy with pbmining being somewhat anonymous and not having to pay more... Their extended online presence has proven their trust with me...

Hmm, I never noticed we were missing this. Thanks for letting me know. We will make sure the new site displays the creation date. After all, we do have the creation date listed in our database (it's crucial information to determine the expiry), it's just not displayed in the profile section for some reason. If you want me to manually take a look for you in the meantime, I can.

http://pbmining.com/image/irishpig.png You have a chance to win a contract with us for 5GH/S!Watch the closest* mined Block On Monday, March 17th, at 22:00UTC. On Blockchain.info, that Block will have a Hash, which is indicated within the red box.
This timestamp (circled in green) is for demonstration purpose only. http://pbmining.com/image/block.jpgIf your two digit Entry # in this thread shows up at any point in the Hash, you win! You will have access to your LIVE DASHBOARD on Pbmining.com within 24 hours to watch your mining contract in action! We will then pay you out for those accumulated Bitcoins every Sunday for 5 years! In this example we used, the winners would have been 31, 14, 42, 29, 41, 11, 18, 82. If your entry number matches ANY of those numbers, you win! Yes, we realize some Hashes could show a VERY LARGE number of winners, and we are prepared for that! Can I win more than once?Of course you can win with the same number! However, you can only enter once. So how do I join the draw?Just post here with the following: " And this little piggy went hashing!" (doesn't have to be perfect) You must also post an image with a pig related theme.Winners will be asked to PM me. What is my Entry #?Your "Entry #" will be determined by taking the first letter and last letter of your username and then using this to convert it: http://pbmining.com/image/numbers.jpgIf I were playing, PBMININ G would be #77 So what is PB Mining, anyway? We own Bitcoin mining hardware which we sell in the form of contract hosting. Our "Live Dashboard" solution allows our customers to monitor their contract in action. Users get paid every Sunday! Check out our eBay account at http://www.ebay.com/usr/pbmining We have a 100% feedback rating, mostly consisting of ASIC hardware sales. Paypal (through Ebay) and Bitcoin is accepted. The goal of this promotion is to show everybody what they can expect from our cheap mining contracts by letting them take part in this industry free of charge.
*In the rare event that there are multiple blocks which are equally as close to March 17, 22:00:00UTC, then both/all of those blocks will be used for winning numbers from their corresponding Hash numbers.
**For you to be eligible for this draw, you must have a minimum of 20 posts at the time of entering, with an account no newer than this announcement (Feb 12th, 2014).
***Payouts will be made every Sunday before Midnight (GMT - 6).
