Would be kinda fun to fill out their form and leave the Los Gatos Police Department's phone number as the contact number.

144  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Just bought 6 S9's Antminers and need help on: April 21, 2017, 07:45:38 AM
So i just ordered 6 new S9's from the latest badge but i wanted to know some things:

1) What cooler system should u look up to, do i need to buy A/C's or thats to low for 6 S9 at the same room, what do you guys recommend me to do.

2) What pool should i join?, im pretty new to bitcoins and is my first time i will buy a antminer. Sorry for the ignorance.

3) How can i exchange the bitcoins in my current currency? Im living in South america.

4) In actual Difficulty and with my s9 13 TH how many Bitcoins i can farm a month?

Sorry again for my ignorance and bad english, have a wonderful day!
6 s9 will definitely need some A/C if you plan to keep them in the same room. I can't recommend a specific A/C unit as I host mine in a data center.

As for a pool to join, I mine at Kano.is. Lower fees than most, pays transaction fees, and the miners there are very helpful. Other pools I would recommend are bravo-mining.com or bcmonster.com, both are smaller pools but they both maintain a presence in their respective threads in pools sections of the forum. A bigger list of pools to choose from can be found here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools

You can calculate how much btc your miners will generate using one of the many calculators available. A couple notable ones are http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php or https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator which will let you adjust the expected difficulty increases
145  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Power supply questions for antminer s7 on: April 20, 2017, 11:37:21 PM
I used to run 2 of mine with a EVGA Supernova P2 & G2 1600W, the other ran with a Rosewill Hercules 1600W. All 3 are still going strong on newer S9's & T9's. I highly recommend them both.
146  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S4 IP 127.0.0.1 on: April 20, 2017, 11:33:01 PM
Thank you so much .......I did it before and nothing was happening. I did now and that works, I don't know how but happens.

.... now the problem it seems mining for someone else, someone has hacked and changed all my settings, so I can't access.......

What can I do??
When you pressed the reset button on your miner, it set all the info back to the default info that it shipped with. Go to the Miner Configuration tab, enter your pool and worker info then click Save&Apply
147  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S4 IP 127.0.0.1 on: April 19, 2017, 10:22:40 PM
hi there,
My S4 show IP as 127.0.0.1.
I have configure the DHCP .
I have changed the SD Card.
I have hold the reset bottom, but nothing change... I don't know what to do else.

can anyone help please? Embarrassed Undecided Cry
It's been a long time since I messed with an s4. I'm pretty sure if you press & hold the reset button, it wipes out any changes you made and sets it back to the default. If you change the miner ip in the miner interface network page and click save and apply. It should save your change to dhcp.

Configuration:
•Power on the power supply using its push button at the back.
•Make sure that your router's subnet is 1, ie 192.168.1.x. If not then change it to 1, this is just temporary. ***If this is not possible, see below***
•Using a browser, navigate to 192.168.1.99 - this goes to the S4's configuration page.
•Login using "root" as both the username and password.
•Navigate to Network -> Settings.
•Change protocol to DHCP and click "Save & Apply".
•Using a browser, navigate to your router and find the IP it has assigned the S4 and navigate to that IP. This IP will also be displayed on the LCD.
•Navigate to the page Miner Configuration -> General Settings. Enter your pool information in the below format.
•Select "Beeper ringing" to "false" and click "Save & Apply".
•Navigate to the page "Miner Status" to check mining has started.
•You can then change your router subnet back to whatever you are used to using.

....

- Set the protocol to DHCP via Navigate to Network -> Interfaces -> WAN -> Edit. If you
don't want to use DHCP, navigate to Network -> Settings and make sure "Gateway" is set to the
IP of your router.
Or if you want, read Dogie's whole S4 setup guide here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=813417
148  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining question on: April 18, 2017, 08:41:47 PM
So no one is willing to gamble this much to gain 6.25 BTC?

with a 0.75BTC bet on a dice site I will have a 5.6% chance if I want to win 12.5 BTC.
that divided to 2 will be 0.375 BTC ... And I really think that we will have more chances to find a block rather then win a bet like that!

Risk .75 btc on a 26 to 1 longshot that only pays 16.7 to 1. No thanks, even casinos offer better odds.
149  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 - IP address error on: April 16, 2017, 05:44:47 PM
I also read what you wrote in the slush thread. That you have your miner ip saved as a bookmark. If your miner is still set to DHCP, that ip can change.

Log into your router and double check for the ip address of your miner.

Block!
Damn! Cobramining is on a roll!

I wish I had their resources. Though I'm sure their monthly power bill is far more than the purchase cost of all 15 of my miners. Wink

BTW, adding another T9 hopefully by the end of next week! Grin

Must be a fluke since the network is so overloaded.... Tongue
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I want to start mining on: April 09, 2017, 10:02:50 PM
And at .12/kwh USD, your roi would be way too long (even at modest 2% diff increase) - if ever on an antminer. You need to be at .10kwh at worst.
154  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: why Temp chip is not identical in all antminer s9 machines ? on: April 09, 2017, 07:04:36 PM
Hello everyone, I have s9 and temperature in the middle chip is high then  other side, can you tell me, I'm afraid about this and what recomend temperature chip can accsept ?!

Is it Normal Process about Temperature ?! Thanks
My s9's always have one board that is hotter than the rest, and from what I have read in the s9 thread it seems a common problem. It has to do with the way the heat sinks are configured and the airflow.

According to Bitmain the chip can operate normally up to 105c degrees. I don't think I would let mine get that high. Maybe 95-100 before I started down clocking or cranking up the a/c.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain's plan to stop seg witness. LTC 1st. BTC 2nd. Starting Today 4/9/17. on: April 09, 2017, 06:43:12 PM
..then Charlie Lee has said he will likely
just do the User Activated Soft Fork method to get around the miner's roadblock on LTC.
I would find something like that far more disturbing than Bitmain or anyone else putting enough hardware online to control 26% of the network (not that I like that option much either). But at least they outlayed the funds to put up the gear that would do this.

Seems to me that any coin doesn't need a supreme potentate to just do what they think is right.

It's not reading both fans. Are they both working?
157  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Only 2 boards Hashing on S7 on: April 07, 2017, 07:11:44 AM
Anyone know where i can purchase one in the UK?
Probably best to buy them directly from Bitmain here:
https://shop.bitmain.com/part.htm

Or Bitmain Warranty. If I remember correctly they have a shop in Iceland.

158  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining Profitability Canada, Quebec. on: April 07, 2017, 07:04:07 AM
well with the last news, i now consider the ebit e9.
or even mining ETH it look more profitable.
any thought ?

I have 5 of the E9's. I've only had them for a couple of weeks, but so far they have proven reliable. The iinterface isn't as easy to configure the miner as the Bitmain s9/t9 or Avalon 721.

If you want to check your expected earnings or ROI this calculator from Bitcoin Wisdom will also let you add in Difficulty Increase expectation as well as lots of other factors.

159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: April 07, 2017, 01:49:45 AM
Am I imagining things or did Bitmain just jack up the price of the T9 & S9?

When I looked this morning, I swear the newest batch shipping April 15th was $1050, but now it's $1150, and the S9 was $1156, but now it's $1296.
