I see an ascending triangle on KMD!! Very bullish pattern. Let's hope BTC doesn't F%$K it up!

EDIT:  BTW, how'd these goofy symbols appear below my name and how does one remove them?

You dont. They auto go, in about 10 or so hours.

Been trying to sell mine for years now, for a 'fair' price. This particular coin has been deemed 'ugly' and not worth much more than 26BTC.

Im in the same boat as you @Super T.......want no less than 29BTC, or it gets peeled, and i will not post.

My 25BTC Casascius is the last one to be funded by Mike.......

I would give you 26.5 if you wanted.

Thanks, but as ive explained on my sales thread, i would get more pleasure than the 1.5BTC premium, by still owning the redeemed coin. I also dont need to consider security or the cost of physical delivery.
143  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: April 01, 2017, 08:02:32 AM
What are small cryto icons under coins are for?

You have got BTC mentioned 3 times in your name and not even one BTC badge?
Maybe the AI is not so intelligent after all.  Tongue

The AI doesn't seem to work, it shows a shadow cash icon for me.  No idea why.   Huh
Its 'working' fine. It only 'works' for one day of the year.  Lips sealed

13 days, and still waiting for Kraken's support to deal with my stop order that didnt trigger until 36 hours later, and ~50euros away from stop order.

I think I may have found your request, but if so it already had a reply days ago and if you didn't get that then there is some tech issue that prevented if from being emailed or maybe it landed in your spam folder. Since you refuse to provide the request number, please try logging directly into https://support.kraken.com/hc/ and checking your requests there (under "Kraken User"). If you made multiple requests, some of them may be merged into other requests, so you may have to check a few of them to find the one we replied to.
Yes i did get an email. Did you read it? The person who wrote it said they weren't able to deal with the issue, and that they will get a 'trade specialist' to look at it. So.....

1314 days, and still waiting for Kraken's support to deal with my stop order that didnt trigger until 36 hours later, and ~50euros away from stop order.

148  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: March 22, 2017, 11:58:15 AM

Im just a simple Bitcoin user. Reddit and Github is not my world.....and not the world of thousands of Bitcoin users. Thats the point. Its just not good enough, to expect the current set-up of 3, 4, 5 ultra nerdy codey types, to tell us how Bitcoin goes forward. This is simply not sustainable.

So you want perfectly working, pure, unfuckupable Bitcoin for everyone, but you don't want hard work or responsibility or difficult decisions.

Let get a hotline to some hyper-intelligent aliens who can help us out.

No idea what your point is. Did you understand mine?
149  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: March 22, 2017, 11:57:11 AM
I cant accept a 'group' of people who dont seem to be accountable to any one else, let alone themselves, are deciding between themselves what Bitcoin should be.

Remember the door you came through, to get your Bitcoins? Use it

The code speaks for itself, and there's nothing anyone can realistically do to ensure that every single iota of desision making is publicly observed, without destroying the privacy of the developers. If you don't like that, Bitcoin is not for you.
Hey. Dont tell me whats good or not for me, OK? Thats exactly the point im making.......a tiny minority defining whats good for others.

STFU CB.

But bitcoin is high technology which requires high level engineering. How would the average Jo ever have come up with what bitcoin has become so far, and then where to take it from here? Why dump the high technology now and treat it like a black box that should never have high level engineering applied to keep advancing it, only to have a few dials and buttons adjusted by users?
Bitcoin has created its own ecosystem. A system that includes, and was created, by many differing players/actors/interests. At some stage certain other users/players/actors/interests, will need to be accounted for......even Back and Maxwell's employer! An example i would cite in this context, is the fact that some Bitcoin organisations/companies are reporting that they are receiving complaints from simple Bitcoin users, that their tx's are taking too long to confirm. This has a resource hit on said companies, and also creates an experience that at the least, does not meet the users expectation of how cool Bitcoin is, or should be.
Are these users/players/actors/ interests accounted for within Core? Whats the official channel for doing so? Do they actively and professionally seek their concerns?

Im watching a broken process that has not dealt with issue/s that were brought to the fore, years ago. The definition of dumb, is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.
Consensus and self-governance aint working, or really needs to be better defined. The current and exhaustive arguments are demonstrating to all and sundry, that this way of reaching agreements aint working for the broader good.
Do something different, before BU becomes a thing.
151  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: March 22, 2017, 10:56:42 AM
This is how i see it. However, theres just no way this set-up is sustainable......and is now at the heart of whats wrong with Bitcoin going forward. Can we see the discussions/decisions that this 'group' have? Can we see the process where they come to an agreement, on our behalf? Are there minutes we can read and discuss? I bet not. I bet this group of people think they are trail-blazing this brave new world of decentralised consensus.......not while they dont have a way to demonstrate to the many thousands of users, how their checks and balances work, they dont.
I bet the legacy system operators out there, are laughing their heads off, at this embarrassing Bitcoin shitshow, thats played out for too many years. Thanks Back and Maxwell, but your position and approach is now embarrassing, and is revealing how your version of 'consensus' has little value, if any.
Please get over that Hearn and Andresson video in that London pub years ago, and UPGRADE Bitcoin ASAP. Thanks.

I cant accept a 'group' of people who dont seem to be accountable to any one else, let alone themselves, are deciding between themselves what Bitcoin should be. And for that reason, Bitcoin has a ceiling of adoption, especially for VC's or angels who would quite rightly consider Core to be an unknown entity, to be associating money with.

Got very little to do with HF/SW/miners/etc. now, and all to do with how we get things done/upgraded on the Bitcoin code.

OT but I had to:

What are you even talking about? Have you tried reading the bitcoin development mailing list which is open to everyone to see what is being discussed? Have you tried connecting to #bitcoin-wizards IRC channel to see any of the discussions or even reading reddit summaries posted by eragmus? Have you tried going to Bitcoin github to see comments on pull requests?
No, and no.

So keep on arguing/talking'debating' all you want about blocksize..........this issue of laissez-faire self-governance is the real story, that needs addressing.

Sorry for slightly OT.
152  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: March 22, 2017, 09:21:22 AM
Who does, represent Bitcoin Core?
No one really represents Core. The closest you could get to "who represents Core" I suppose would be everyone listed on https://bitcoincore.org/en/team/ but any decision about what goes into Core is made by the entire group, plus a number of contributors not listed on that page.

What are Core, bound by?
Nothing really. There is no obligation for Core to do anything and nothing that requires them to do anything. There is a moral obligation for them to do "what is right for Bitcoin", but that is subjective.

I bet not. 10 days, and no human response to my original support ticket, regarding a stop order that didnt trigger until 36 hours later, and ~50euros away from stop order.

Kraken is broke.

Yes, we have a very long backlog right now. I asked before and you didn't want to do this, but if you post the ticket number or DM it to me I can ask support to escalate it and get a response to you as soon as possible.

How about you repair your utterly broken support process, instead of allowing que-jumping? I asked before, why you are getting these very long backlogs??

-------------------------------------------

12 days, and not even an acknowledgement, of my stop order that didnt trigger until 36 hours later, and ~50euros away from stop order.
154  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: March 21, 2017, 05:25:43 PM
Note that because the Core contributors who signed the agreement did not and do not represent the entire Bitcoin Core project, Core itself is not bound by the agreement and had no obligation to release on the estimated schedule outlined by the agreement and no obligation to accept and implement the hard fork proposal.
Who does, represent Bitcoin Core? What are Core, bound by?

good volume today. I think people are starting to realise that david is actually one of only a handful of coders/designers on this board that create useful game changing tech.

Thats Dai, diversifying.  Tongue

Can't believe he faked the volume on Qtum.
Waiting for Glebby, et al, to show us the trail. But yeah, a hideous ICO precedent, for others to follow.  Cry

When are you guys going to start hurling yourself at Valve to get it on Steam, just ask to trial it for 2 weeks they have little to lose, especially when they can convert it instantly BTC (and to $$ if the don't hold crypto)

You should be making yourselves very clear to these platforms that your top crypto should be considered after BTC, persistence and cold calling, make them see!

Valve are already well versed with game economies/currencies, but seemed to go quiet on the subject after Yanis left.
Maybe they need to re-evaluate.....maybe they are watching closely!

I don't mean to suggest that we don't have any issues because we do.

So, why are you getting so many support requests, that its taking over a week to answer? And why has this been happening for months, now?
160  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: March 16, 2017, 07:27:58 AM
5 full days, and no response from support other than to say they have many support tickets to deal with.

Again, Kraken on occasions, does not trigger stop orders. In my case, it was 36 hours after it traded through my stop price, until it was executed. You shouldnt be trading if this is happening on your engine. In fact, i think you guys should be reported.

You owe me money Kraken. How many others do you owe money to? And, why are there so many support tickets to deal with?
