141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: January 25, 2019, 08:20:48 PM
Hi,
What wallet is better to use with Ledger Nano S? Liskish or Lisk Hub?
If I will create an account in Liskish with Ledger, can I use this account with Lisk Hub?

There is no reason now not to use Lisk Hub as Ledger Nano S is supported.

But, for some reason, it's recomended on the Ledger website to use Liskish...
Does Lisk Hub download the whole blockchain, or it's lightweight?

Lisk Hub does not yet support the LNS, per there website: https://lisk.io/hub - scroll down to the Upcoming Lisk Hub Features section.
For now you must user the Liskish wallet with the LNS. Once Lisk Hub supports the LNS, you will not need to transfer your coins again.

It is very nice project . I think this coin  will be in the top 20 CMC. If I can , I will be buy on pre-ico . I trust  David Chaum and him team

Chances are the price to get in will be at a premium.

The ticket prices are always going up despite the bear market. Might the miners be buying the tickets too? Would it not cause some sort of "failure" in the system if they "control" the POW side and the POS side?

I doubt this because miners usually need to cash out their earning to upgrade and maintain their equipment. Mining is expensive.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SingularityNET (AGI ) NEW AI PROJECT , 20x soon ? on: January 18, 2019, 07:11:48 PM
In hindsight I'd say it didn't make 20x soon. However the project is super cool and it would be nice to revive this thread so as to keep price discussions out of the ANN thread which should be reserved for more clever arguments.

Agreed the project has a lot of potential, but the crypto bear market is keeping the price down. I'm hearing all the time how AI will be a huge industry in the near future, and AGI may be a big part of it. At the current price point there is a huge risk/reward ration. A .2 BTC investment could make you a millionaire if it plays out like we anticipate.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug10 on: January 18, 2019, 07:02:47 PM

It would be nice if true, but only time will tell (my gut tells me some kid made this all up). Actually it makes sense for Russia and other heavily sanctioned countries to load up on crypto.

This is not a true. This is just a gossip and talks one man (just a teacher in university). And government denied this gossip already:

https://bitcoinist.com/russia-ditch-usd-bitcoin-prof/

and 10 billions is not much for crypto. If they invest such money - this can't affect to price much, but they can lost money as well (if BTC will go down more).

Are you kidding,  if it were true and 10B were put in the market it would move the market massively up. Don't confuse market cap with amount invested.

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: January 11, 2019, 06:54:12 PM

Hello,

Could anyone explain the truth about why GAME was delisted from Yobit?
Was there an issue with the wallet that the devs did not work with them well on?
Was the fee not paid for a fork or wallet upgrade?

MikeMike
Hello
Exchange Yobit scammers and many wallets in maintemance (indefinitely)

It is good GameCredits is delisted from Yobit because Yobit is one of the worst exchanges I have ever seen. What is concerning though to me is how GameCredits price is only going down.  Once it used to be in top 50 just around 1 to 1-1/2 year back and now it is ranked above 300.

Agreed, good riddance.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: January 11, 2019, 06:53:23 PM
I have much holding siacoin (sc)
any staking opportunity,/ mining or any reward  or any other opportunity  -I want to work with my holding amount of siacoin..

Sure you can earn more SC in a few ways:

  • By mining it
  • By being a SIA host and renting out your spare disk space.

A few months ago they said they are relaunching, and they put out a couple of reports, but since then they have been quiet. My guess is they are waiting for the market to turn around before becoming active again.

Huge progress update from Erik Zhang at: https://twitter.com/neoerikzhang/status/1080712555469754368

After half a year of development, the improved NEO consensus algorithm dBFT is about to be completed. dBFT will become the best consensus mechanism for blockchains. With this improvement, dBFT will have more strict finality. Users only need to wait for one confirmation (15 seconds) to ensure the irreversibility of the transactions and prevent double-spending. This is very suitable for financial applications.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: January 02, 2019, 04:44:05 PM

busy or not, this project has a turtle slow development

just read the topic posts from Q3 2017 until today
LOL. I like statements like this the most and this makes me laugh.
We can imagine, the SIA Project that is so big is called a project like a turtle. LOL

Certainly Big Daddy has clear reasons for what he said. LOL

without any offence, but let's face it, the SIA project is developing so slowly that I don't know at this point am I laughing or am I crying, its a mixed feeling
They had to put the final product on the market on time, time is running...they lost the whole year with the problem of ASICs
I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, but still, patient

Blockchain development is hard and they are writing the rules as they go. There is no copy and paste code, this is groubreaking stuff, and worth wait, be patient. If they gain a share of the global storage market it will be huge. They have big plans.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Community Governance | Bitcoin Devs | Lightning Network on: January 02, 2019, 04:30:34 PM
Decred are you alive?

Without any doubt this coin is alive and moving forward very well. What is the reason to ask this question if you have any problem than post in this thread I hope your problem will get resolved.

I have a hundred coins from this currency in my desktop wallet and i sold them today because i don't see any increase in the price

Your free to do as you please, however, Decred is the last coin I would sell next to Bitcoin. It could end up being a Store of Value coin, without the drama that bitcoin has. Decred is very fork resistant unlike bitcoin.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reversal of Bear Market? on: December 21, 2018, 04:03:51 PM
An argument could be made that the nearly 50% relativity quick drop from 6K to 3.2K was capitulation. Clearly the tone of the crypto community has change from the euphoria of a year ago with calls of 50K or 100K BTC. With BTC near 3.2K I was seeing many calls of BTC 1K or even less, and certainly many were expecting a further drop. Where we head from here is another matter, but I wouldn't surprised if we are flat for a few more months.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FCT] The Factom Protocol on: December 10, 2018, 08:23:22 PM
After holding my Factoids nearly two years I'm very impressed about the current price in BTC-terms. There is still no way to stake my Factoids, right?

Correct holders cannot stake FCT in any way, it only applies to the nodes.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: December 03, 2018, 04:56:34 PM
Circulating Supply
38.227.008.534 SC

what is the Max Supply ??

thanks

Theres no max supply

But the inflation rate drops a lot over time to ~3.5% by 2020. And with coin burn in a few years the coins should reach a near maximum supply.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SiaClassic] ☰ [Ensuring decentralization and transparency] ☰ (Sia Fork) on: December 03, 2018, 04:30:56 PM
Is it for real or is it a joke? If it is for real I guess exchanges should provide support for the new coin. Is anyone doing that?

From everything I have seen, this is project is the real deal.  Because it is so new, it may take some time to get on an exchange, but I expect they will soon.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug10 on: November 29, 2018, 07:54:03 PM
now is best time for invest in neo

But only wise people will avail this golden chance to get safe entry in this project. I hope in future it will give big shock to those who are still waiting to buy dip. I also think no need wait just take action right now.

Agreed, I think people will be kicking themselves for not getting in at these levels in the not too distant future. Sure we may currently be in a bull trap, but we are very likely close to the bottom if we have not already hit it.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: November 21, 2018, 07:37:10 PM
I just don't know if I will sell my LSK tokens, I thought theres a pull back this year?

Yes, we are in the midst of one. Was the bottom hit already, who knows, but maybe.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 16, 2018, 07:04:44 PM
I don't see anything on the SiaClassic site about a snapshot/airdrop, anyone know what's happening on that side?

Also, as a point of discussion...given that SIA's cloud storage usage is currently at a fraction of the available capacity, doesn't creating four branches water down the market even more?

Sure download the wallet and claim you coins. More info on their website: https://siaclassic.org/
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: GBTC Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: November 08, 2018, 03:01:11 PM
Tone covers GBTC trading at the following timestamp: https://youtu.be/ESo3Y-PMv6c?t=2685

In short he says GBTC has corrected substantially and is oversold, with a very low premium. He also states that the Bitcoin ETF under review by the SEC has an 80% chance of NOT getting approved. He then states he should have logged into his Retirement account and purchased some before stating this in this video. He said that he will log into his retirement account after making the video and buy some GBTC.

Why the FUCK is anyone listening to that guy?? If you'd have ever met him personally like I have, you wouldn't ever look at a chart he drew. Ever.

Well he was right on this GBTC call. He was very critical of GBTC when it was trading at a much higher premium. But he does come across as arrogant for sure.
