I somehow managed to create a second instance without creating a spot request (with max price) for it. This mistake cost me $50... Oh man, you've got to be careful about that. I've done that before and AWS refunded me the difference.

I feel that once you get the whole Anonymous transactions and things working, it will be a unique coin with more appeal and more news worthy.
Hows that coming along?
+1 Have to agree +1 A few days ago we successfully generated an anonymous transaction on testnet using the client. That was basically the proof of concept and now I'm working on making tx pool classes and new daemon commands (sendtoaddressanon, showtxpool) to be able to send money, debug the state of the pool and see what's going on. Next step after the code is done is to release a binary that'll connect to testnet so everyone can try it out and we'll fix it up and do a full release. The first version of this is just going to be daemon commands and it won't be the default method of payment. There's some odd things I want to work out before making it the default method of moving money.

Great Woo, we're on an exchange! Added to the front page
|
|
|
It is no problem. The only condition is trades. That's why we need owner to contact us and guarantee anounce to community. We don't take any fee for adding currencies. There are constantly people coming into the forums looking to buy and sell DarkCoin, so there will be trading if you add it. It has been growing consistently, so it'll be good for your exchange to get in on the ground floor and build a name for yourself. Also, I'll add your exchange to the first page of our announcement thread under "Exchanges". That should draw you folks some more attention. Very good! We will think about that. Tell owner to contact us if possible. Sent you a PM

Here is an Exchange that wants to add Darkcoin. He just wants to talk to eduffield first. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446640.new#newIt is no problem. The only condition is trades. "The only condition is trades." and "guarantee anounce to community" I think he means that he don't want this coin if no one gonna trade it, therefore he wants you to contact him and maybe add his exchange on the first page. Good point, I'll add that to my post

I told him we're growing pretty fast.

Coin Information DarkCoin aims to be the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency with fully encrypted transactions and anonymous block transactions. These features are a work on progress and will be released in stages in the near future.
The title of this thread shouldn't be "First Anonymous Coin" as it's not yet. Your title is intentionally misleading. Actually it's true, there are anonymous transactions that were created using the client on the testnet. I'm hoping to release a binary that can do the anonymous transactions this week and do some public testing.

Anyone look into making an AMD optimized version of this miner? On Quark, AMD CPUs are actually not too bad with the latest version of minerd; for this X11 algo, I'm only getting about half the performance of Intel CPUs.
That's interesting. Which version of darkcoin's minerd are you using? There's 3 floating around, v1.2 seems to perform really well on my systems.

wow we just got scammed folks.
damn, they took .05 btc from me.
It seems like they just messed it up temporarily. Maybe they're trying to add DarkCoin like everyone here is asking for

Pool ready mining (proportional, stratum only, vardiff, 1% fee, dedicated servers): Added to the front page

So are transactions made with this wallet anonymous or not?
Not yet. I have some proof-of-concept code that I'm working on in testnet for that.

drk.lotterymining.com is up and running...
I updated the main page

what does it mean when it says "stratum authentication failed" That means your user/password is being rejected by the stratum server. Which pool are you in? im in this one http://pool.darkcoin.io/Hmm, that's my pool. What is your user name in the pool?

She's ALIVE! I don't know what I was doing wrong, but as I suspected, some good rest and I was finally able to compile, LOL On another note, the windows 7 binary miner ig0tik3d posted doesn't work on my system either (win 7) Does the one on the front page still work? It's still called Xcoin (which might get confusing for newcomers? try this version https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9cvOfoOekSdNktvalVOa3VPTUE/edit?usp=sharingand... before you trying start miner, look your cpu support sse2 and you have 64 bit version windows... This one seems to be working on my Phenom II X6 processor with about a 50% speed increase TYVM!!!!!! Wow, props to ig0tik3d, he knows his shit.
