Champions League results are more tricky than domestic leagues, sometimes they are just random.
Three games were played tonight and as expected Galatasaray, Young Boys and Braga all qualified. We will see if the rest will qualify or not by tomorrow. Normally it's hard to predict results when two different league teams play. But today there was no surprise and all three games finished as what we expected. Just as I pointed out in my last message here, three favorite teams won their games and advanced to group stage. Galatasaray, Sporting Braga and Young Boys were better teams. They didn't make any mistakes. I prefer better teams to participate in Champions League because we see the biggest competition there. When there is a weak team in the group stage that affects whole group. Everybody try to score a lot to that team and that somehow kill the fun and competition. There were no big surprises. Only the favorite teams have qualified. But I thought Maccabi Haifa would probably qualify for the Champions League. Young Boys and Maccabi Haifa teams I thought were almost equally strong. However, in the home match, Young boys players played brilliantly. The team won a fantastic 3-0. Maccabi Haifa's performance was not bad. However, they could not break the strong defense of young Boys. What impressed me the most was Molde's performance. I did not know this team well. This team is completely unknown to me. However their performances against galatasaray were excellent in both matches. However the team lost both matches. But they played well. The team is not experienced enough. If they are experienced enough, we may see this team in the Champions League in the future. |

Rudi Garcia seems to be the right coach for Napoli. He managed to win his two Serie A debut matches which then began to change some views of his quality and ability to coach the team. Napoli have beaten Frosinone and Sassuolo in Weeks one and two, but something could still change.
Napoli actually haven't had a strong opponent this season to prove their worth, but I agree that this season they are still on the list of favorites to win the title instead of just Inter and Milan. Meanwhile, Juventus have not been able to get their best form even though they have not lost in the last two matches. Napoli, Milan and Inter are the 3 favorites in my opinion, but Juventus and Atalanta might try to stop the 3 favorite teams.
It is still too early to assume Rudi Garcia is the right coach. The first two matches won by Napoli were the matches against weak teams. We can understand if Napoli could win against Frosinone and Sassuolo because Napoli squad is much better than these two teams. However, we must appreciate that Rudi Garcia started this season perfectly. In the first two matches, Napoli could score 5 goals and only 1 conceded goal. It means Napoli players can play offensively and have good motivation to win again Serie A title. Osimhen still plays productively and the defense of Napoli looks strong enough. Rudi Garcia started working with Napoli just a few weeks ago and it's too soon to talk about his performance in the team as you said. But still, the fact about Rudi Garcia and the new Napoli is we can't expect to see a good performance from him as we saw in the last season in Napoli because this time other top Italian teams got much better situation than last season and Juventus is one good example for it. Yes I agree with you. Rudi Garcia has just started working with napoli. So it is not so quick to judge whether he is a good coach or not . Actually Napoli have performed in just two matches in Serie A, and you know in both matches, their opponents were relatively weak, so i think it is not difficult for napoli to win. At the moment I look forward to seeing how napoli perform against the big teams. However I also think that napoli will not be able to maintain the dominance like last season. You know Luciano spalletti was an excellent coach, with the help of spalletti, napoli's performances were stable from the beginning to the end of the season. However napoli still have a strong squad, if garcia's match tactics are good then napoli still have the potential to produce consistent performances. |

Juventus will have plenty of time to improve in Serie A. There are still some weaknesses in their squad. Juventus also have plenty of time to fix weaknesses. Because they will not perform in Champions League or Europa League. Teams like Inter Milan and Napoli will be busy with the Champions League. It is difficult to maintain consistency in the Champions League and Serie A together. Juventus have enough time and opportunity to improve in Serie A, to dominate Serie A. But so far we have not seen a satisfactory performance from Juventus. Still, Juventus' performance is very erratic. So Juventus favorites for the title cannot be said yet. |

I think Augsburg's team is quite weak. augsburg's defense in particular is very weak. The gladbach team also managed to score 4 goals against augsburg and so I was sure that bayern munich would win today's home match without any mishaps. But I don't like augsburg's attacking performance today. They made 7 shots but none were on target. Bayern munich's performance is very organized. They are not playing attacking badly. They have been able to keep their defense strong . This is why they are leading 2-0 at the end of the first half. augsburg conceded the first goal due to a mistake by augsburg defender Uduokhai. And harry kane scored from the penalty spot to give Bayern Munich a 2-0 lead. It's difficulty for Augsburg to get any points against Bayern at Allianz Arena. PSG are quite incapable without Mbappe now. This will go on like this for a long time as well I think. Because they are in a phase to make some changes in the starting eleven and they will need to wait for some more time to see its affect. Many people lost their prediction based on they predicted for Arsenal to defeat Newcastle united that made the match to ended up draw to make Arsenal to reduced their points. You know last season Manchester City has consistently performed well and the team has maintained consistency this season as well. This season Manchester City dominated and won the first three matches, the interesting thing is they are occupying the top spot in the table with 9 points from 3 matches. If you look at their main rivals liverpool and arsenal, both of them have earned 7 points in 3 matches. However, there is no doubt that Manchester City's overall performance is stable and strong. Another thing is we are yet to see a better performance from Haaland, he scored the first goal against Sheffield United, however his performance in the entire match was not very good. Haaland needs to work harder as he is leading scorer. If Haaland is not in good form, it will be difficult for City to maintain consistency in the Champions League. |

I was waiting to see Lewandowski's goal. This is Lewandowski's first goal of the season. Barcelona's overall gameplay is very good today. But their defense is a bit weak this season too. Defense needs to be strengthened. I admit that Barcelona's defense in this match was really unsatisfactory, but the performance of their attackers and midfielders was good enough that it helped them win the match. Gavi, De Jong, Ferran and Lewandowski scored one goal each, but of course I didn't really expect Barcelona to concede 3 goals. A few days ago, the team depended on the performance of Babar and Rizwan. But now why Pakistan team is not dependent on the performance of certain batsmen. Wonderful finish from Sorloth to equalise the goal. There was a counter attack that was taken by Villarreal which led to the goal on the 40th minutes. The first goal was scored by Foyt with a magnificent header to give hope on the face of his club. Very marvelous equalizer. Barca defence is porous and that is what Villarreal is taking advantage of. I can't watch Manchester City vs Sheffield United anymore, completely one sided game and Sheffield United has no chance to reach Manchester City's defenders, after 70 minutes they've not made any shoot. Even though Manchester City win with big margin against Burnley, but Burnley was able to compete and made few shots. Props to Wesley Foderingham since he have made good saves.
You are right this is like a one-sided match, although in the second half after Manchester City managed to break the deadlock with a goal from Haaland, Sheffield also managed to equalize but Manchester City is indeed a team with quality above their opponent so it is difficult for Sheffield to be able to make many attempts.
Liverpool is behind Newcastle, and it looks like they are in a precarious situation as they are now down to just 10 men after their captain Virgil van Dijk was sent off by the referee, it's quite bad to see how Liverpool got two red cards in their last two games. It's a tough struggle for Liverpool to catch up and also to win this game, I predict a draw will be the best result Liverpool can get because Newcastle are very consistent in keeping their defense, unless there are mistakes that can be put to good use by Liverpool's attackers. As Liverpool is now playing with 10 players, it will be much more difficult for them to get back on the truck in this match. Because van dijk is liverpool's most important defender. Without Van dijk, liverpool's defense is quite weak. also newcastle are still playing attacking strategy. It is now very difficult for Liverpool to counter attack Newcastle's attack.
