Would you start searching who lost a banknote if you'd found it on the street?

Not really the same case.

1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Missing 10 Characters in WIF Private Key - Can I recover them? on: February 17, 2022, 11:40:17 AM

Since BitCrack already utlize GPU, do you think it's possible to achieve higher hashrate (with same device) by modifying his software?

For some cases my program is a least 2x faster than BitCrack.

About the subject - OP is working on the problem, but apparently the decoded characters were not correct, so there is much more work than expected.

Of course everyone may vote as he wants, but I am really surprised that nowadays fact of being just fair is enough to became a hero. It shows that there is something wrong with our environment.

It would require some extra work on the server side to avoid duplicated form submission. It is up to admin to decide if it is worth it - and which forum section should be modified.

I think they must implement blockchain technology to avoid double-spending
1405  Other / Archival / Re: Refresh page or F5 sends merit on: February 17, 2022, 09:52:29 AM
In general, there is no token which would block 'duplicated' actions. If you send merit, you may save the whole POST sent to server and then redo it (using curl etc). Additional merit will be added.

To open an Exodus file you need Fortran. The information is on page 18 from the next document:

This actually doesn't make any sense because Exodus is not even programmed in Fortran. It's a NodeJS/Electron program that encrypts the private keys before storing them in the wallet file. It is impossible to obtain the private keys without either the password or mnemonic phrase.

yeah I get this is a joke but still.

1410  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ElectrumX Server on Win10 on: February 16, 2022, 06:12:06 PM
As I may have BitcoinCore, EPS and rpc-explorer on pure Windows, I will stay with that.
I do not really understand why I must encode my MasterPubKey in EPS config, but for now I will not change it.

Ja mam kartę binance i polecam.

If Electrs is OK for you (imho is one leap higher than EPS) and you are OK to install and use Windows subsystem for Linux, I've done a quite elaborate walktrough for
Bitcoin + Electrum server + Block explorer under Windows (with WSL and Debian)

It was my best shot for Electrum server that I can use under Windows.

Eh, why it all cannot be just simple... I will check if it works with cygwin, but I am really tired of all that kung fu.
1413  Bitcoin / Electrum / ElectrumX Server on Win10 on: February 16, 2022, 01:18:45 PM
Did someone manage to launch ElectrumX  (https://github.com/spesmilo/electrumx) on Windows?
I cannot install it because of problems with plyvel, it seems it is extremely not easy to have it installed. I haven't found any solution (nothing from https://github.com/wbolster/plyvel/issues/60 works for me) so I gave up and for now I will switch to https://github.com/chris-belcher/electrum-personal-server, but still I am disappointed.

And do you know password?
If not, the only option is to brute-force it, using hash&salt information. For completely unknown password chances are… low.
1415  Local / Polski / Re: Zastosowanie Bitcoina do innych celów wg Hala on: February 15, 2022, 07:01:23 PM

thank you, i have a .voice need to convert to mp3 to know use my file but i can not convert

You should say how it was recorded, on smartphone or other device? And it could even be a typical .wav file just renamed, not necessarily custom format.

Hell All:

Ditto for you, I'm sure, I have had it drilled into me, "Not your keys, not your coin." But now that I have successfully set up Trezor Model One, I have no idea what my key is. I mean if it is MY key but I don't know what it is, then what does that mean?   In the setup process the word "key" was never mentioned. I assume that the "key" must be on the blockchain and not on my device but when I plug in my device, how can my BTC data (on the blockchain) be retrieved into the Trezor Suite on my PC without some kind of key or password?   Sounds like a dumb question I am asking but I don't know the answer . . . And, again, if "key" is such an obvious thing, why was it never mentioned in setup?

You may also use https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (or download off-line version from https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39) to see what are your addresses (and private keys) generated from the given seed.
