I don't see a problem with using Electrum seed phrases. Even if Electrum is discontinued tomorrow, all the old versions are still easily accessible from a variety of sources, including bundled in to other software such as Tails. And even if for some reason you can't find a copy of Electrum anywhere, then there are some other wallets which accept these phrases. And even then, Electrum's seed phrase process is all open source and well known by many people. It is very easy to adapt a BIP39 wallet in to accepting Electrum seed phrases. As long as you remember it's an Electrum seed phrase and don't think you've made a mistake writing down a BIP39 seed phrase, I don't see the issue. Indeed, I have several cold wallets generated by Electrum on an airgapped device, and I have no concerns about losing access to those coins.

Yes, I agree, you are completely right - with some assumption, it could be fine. Just one thing I do not like is that we all talk about some standards, the fact that mnemonic phrase is standardized and could be used anywhere - on you phone, on your laptop etc. You may print paper wallet and then import the key in majority of wallets - you are not forced to used the program which was the source of your key. With electrum it is different - the only "other" client which would accept electrum seed is Electrum on mobile (and vice versa).
Still, Electrum is for me the perfect tool I love to use, but I use it with my hardware wallet.

I do not know how much detailed descriptions should be, but in case of freebitco you may add information about free Wheel Of Fortune rolls (minimum 1 per day, could be more - up to 16 I think) where you may get 50, 500, 5000 sats (or their reward points which you may later convert to sats). Anyway, on average you gain more from these WOF spins than from regular faucet.

Have you already tried our referral features?

I would like to register on your site, do you have any promotions/extras for a given code or referral? Is there any list of referrals I should take into account?

I don't know since when it's there
but only noticed it today, and it's a great feature. I personally can exchange only 1 WOF ticket per day, but it's better than nothing, and I'm planning to do it until it's over, or I run out of Reward Points.

I also used it all the time, but now I get a message that it is necessary to play Multiply more to get RP, since to exchange for 1 WOF you need to have 50 RP or more, so for now you will have to do without WOF. Sad

I am surprised that even after many weeks of betting I still have limit of one WOF. Is it finally clearly described anywhere what are the rules and entry levels for more WOFs to buy?
I try to buy WOF every day, but doing that just for 1 spin does not make much sense.

Electrum is probably the best choice for you as others have stated. It is very light on resources and gives you a seed-phrase to back up.

I agree that Electrum is the best tool, I like it very much, but I think it is better to have a mnemonic phrase which could be used on many wallets. While Electrum may use BIP39 standard mnemonic phrases for imported wallets, when you use Electrum to create a brand new wallet, it will use it's own standard (dictionary etc).
The best would be of course to have a hardware wallet and then any software you like (including Electrum).
Or find a safe way to generate mnemonic phrase and then start using it in Electrum.

In the properties (or in bitcoind.conf file) you should see the parameter responsible for the data directory.

And (as I expected, unfortunately) Swiatek is out. Magic of Wimbledon. And yes, you must be good at grass-courts to have any hope. What now? Probably “Other”, but let’s wait a little more.
Simona Halep as a former champion still playing and in 16 round will play against P. Badosa and I will wait for this match and then decide to bet on who. There are still 7 unseeded players who still play in the women's section so choosing other's can be done even though when searching on google there are no unseeded women's players who have be champions, maybe this time there will be.

And, what was your choice, if it is not a secret?
I have placed some small bets on both Men and Women ranges, as Swiatek is out any other bet has an attractive odds. For Men I bet on leaders and on Others. I had not much time this year to follow the games and I am not convinced to my selections.
4 hours left, maybe in the last moment I will place some bigger bet, but more likely I will buy some FUN for saved sats.

I tryed to stop firewall to restart and i have read something with "-reindex" but i can't find how to do.

The best way to do it is to launch command line “cmd” and then add “-reindex” option to the command.
How do you launch the application? You may also edit the properties of the “icon/shortcut” you have, and add that parameter to the command.
Tell us if it solves the problem or if problem persists.

Sainz! Odds 17.11! Today’s F1 GP on Silverstone circuit gives huge huge winnings to people who believed in Sainz. He kept the 1st place from Q and became (surprising?) winner. I placed some not-so-big amount on his team partner and I had slightly bigger hope for Verstappen, but at the end it seems we cannot forget that Ferrari has 2 drivers.
I wonder if that winning will have any impact on F1 bets in the upcoming weeks. Verstappen was 6 th, and finally not bad Hamilton’s result.

Super ciekawa sprawa to te obligacje indeksowane inflacją.

F1… I think Verstappen will start very well from the 2nd position and if we manage to keep Leclerc behind, he will win. But now bets are closed, so what will be, will be.

It will be my strategy - to see how favorites goes and then bet opposite Wink I really do not believe Swiatek will win and I will bet on "others", at least in early phase (with a high time weight multiplier). Some say Bianca Andreescu will defeat Swiatek in 1/4.
But in 2 days they will close bets on F1 GP, I can't wait for the first trainings to see the difference between Ferrari and Red Bull. I am not sur if pole position will be critical, but it is always a good sign.
At this rate, it's not really shocking to wager on Max for each race. Sure he will not win "all" races, but if he wins enough then the wins will be profitable enough to cover for the losses. He is just way too good compared to Charles and Red Bull is far far ahead of ferrari right now.

Maybe you are right, maybe I will bet like that. Trainings didn’t bring any definitive answer and for sure Red Bull is hungry of winning.
On the other hand, current 1.31 for Max I do not see as an attractive odds. Risky.
In the meantime I try to follow Wimbledon and the last Swiatek game (2:1) slowly convinced me to bet on ‘Other’ option.

BTC ended June under 20k, which gave a very nice profit to many users (including me :>), as odds were almost 3. Market is full of pessimism, we do not know how it will be during that month. I think any early bets are too risky.

F1 comes to England this weekend, I have placed some small bets on both Verstappen and Leclerc, for the final ones I wait for the first trainings. In few hours we will me much smarter. (I think it will be Ferrari)

Two words: „Mastering Bitcoin”
Two more words: Andreas Antonopoulos

If read that book you will know the answers for all your questions.
All is perfectly described there, it makes no sense to create own definitions.

Also I don't think bitcoin core had encryption back in 2009 so you could attempt to search to your disk for strings of data the wallet file would have saved (but I've not seen an example of one from that long ago so I'm not sure how they would have been).

Some say it should be (hex value):
Code:
fd1701308201130201010420
or shorter version, for example:
Code:
201010420

Then the next bytes should be your private key.

About making copy: did you consider using linux tool 'dd' to make disk image? It seems it would copy all.

If you may read in the same language as Moličre (or just want to use google translate), take a look there:

Hi, Yes i am running Windows 10. What is WSL , is it like a dual boot thing ?

No, it is rather "subsystem", which you just launch like any other program.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install
Or just download Ubuntu or Debian from the Store.

Not tried pywallet.....I installed python 2.7 on my c drive . How do i run it , just command line ? and say if the mounted disk is Local disk (z) how do i get it to target that cloned image ?

If you launch it from inside of WSL, you will have your drives under /mnt folder, like "/mnt/c/...."(it will be probably "--recov_device /mnt/z")
If you boot your machine into pure linux, it will appear somewhere under /dev/ folder.

I think it is too early to place any definitive bets. Let's wait few days (&games) to see how they look like.
We have already a first "surprise" - Serena Williams is out. I was just checking what are the odds, I haven't found her and I then I saw the news about Harmony Tan. It makes me think to start betting on "others" (8.94) category, as I do not see a clear leader.

You are right in that although there is 1 clear favorite, both on the Men and Women side (just looking at the odds on freebitco.in). The odd for Djokovic dropped already to 1.51, so I will probably not place a bet anymore on him as there is no real value in it. The odd for Swiatek to win is 1.45 which is also way too low for me but as you mention, it can be interesting to bet on the others category (8.3) on the Women side as we might get a surprise over there.
