Almost all of these altcoins don't need 2 pages. All they need is "cloned Bitcoin/Litecoin source, changed a few numbers".

Haha, same thought here.

I am writing a book which explains in simple terms what cryptocurrency is.  Bitcoin and another 49 altcoins will feature, with each coin having two pages within the book.  My facebook group gives more information:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cryptocurrency-The-Alt-ernative/285429871619708

One can vote for their favourite coin by donating a small amount of BTC.  If your favourite coin is not present, please message the group and we will create an address for it.

just get in touch is you want clean vectors of our logo - happy to provide them (also we will be uploading them in a section on our site www.qrk.cc) , good opportunity to also talk about how the monetary reform group got involve with Quark with Bill Still etc. (in the book) BIll may be attending the Crypto convention in New York with Sean Young the Hollywood Actress that played in "Bladerunner" - that would be cool.

unconfirmed at this time -

we will be including a "accept Quark" section where we can put logos and create a list of the growing number of businesses accepting Quark -

https://pock.io/  will be going live with Quark soon - : D

I will look into https://pock.io/

Quark has about 0.5% inflation per year now.  Over the long term, it's  not as inflationary compared to many of the other coins.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Beginners Reference Book on: February 24, 2014, 10:25:52 AM

At the end of the day, it's only the title of the book lol.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Beginners Reference Book on: February 24, 2014, 10:23:46 AM
I dont agree here.
Take Zetacoin too, It's inflationary form is rare in this market.
By now only Quark and Zetacoin are inflationary in the Top30 i think.

Nobody would be mining all these other coins after they have reached their ceiling

I also think that Quark is very undervalued

Why does 'alt-ernative' have a dash in it? Is it some other pun I'm not seeing, or did you really just expand 'alt' which is already short for 'alternative'?

In my mind, this seems similar to writing 'math-ematics'.

The dash is intentional  Wink it's an ambiguous title

Intentionally what though?

Ambiguously ambiguous... if there's some deeper meaning, I'm not seeing it.

"Alt" refers to altcoin
"The Alternative" refers to a currency other than fiat. The title means there is another way to do commence which does not involve paper money. A different path. Hope I am more clear.

holy shit, you suck at graphic design. I might do this myself

If you are referring to the proposed cover, I intend to make it look better. I will get a friend I know to help me on this front.

When you go to the bottom of the page to start a new topic, there is an option to "post new poll"

I have added a poll to the thread  Cheesy
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Beginners Reference Book on: February 23, 2014, 03:54:20 PM
Nice idea!

Maybe you could make a text list of each of your altcoin addresses (which are pictured) so they can be easily copied and pasted. I liked the page and will be keeping track of your book's progress. Good luck with your project.  Smiley

I have posted all BTC vote donation address in text form on the group as a status.  Thank you for showing interest.
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Beginners Reference Book on: February 23, 2014, 03:43:46 PM
Cool idea, but I don't think someone should be required to make a donation to vote for a certain coin.  Why not just open a free poll?

How do I create a poll on this forum?
