1421  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy Bitcoin Service | BitSwapp.com on: June 02, 2017, 01:15:22 PM
How would you recommend me to add a escrows service or where do I get one?
Please educate your self on what is escrow and why a business needs escrow.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escrow

Here you can find who are all available for providing escrow for your business : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0

I was planning on being my own escrow is this possible?
Escrow is to make people believe you. You need to put some amount of bitcoins to escrow. That money will be used in the case of you will be deviating from your words. Hence, acting as self-escrow is complete meaningless.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is winning at Sports betting actually possible ? on: June 02, 2017, 08:19:49 AM
I believe it is possible to win in Sports Betting and it is more likely easier to win than Casino if  you know what you are doing.  If you are knowledgeable with competing team then you can predict who will be the winner is.
Yeah I agree a bit with you that we can win with sports betting but mate casino is more much profitable contradicting to what you said.

The sports betting usually have an edge of 15-20% and hence its almost betting against a fierce wind and with casinos/dice the edge is just around 1% which means betting against a negligible win and now you must be smart enough to determine which is easier Smiley
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do any people gamble under the age of 18? on: June 02, 2017, 07:03:50 AM
The good thing about Bitcoin gambling is that most teenagers won't be able to buy Bitcoin on an exchange or anything.  So if they gamble, it would have to be with money that they had earned, so there's little danger of it being really bad for their family.
They getting there money from their parents or they stelling it hidenly from parents most of teenagers nowadays if they addicted to gamble they learning how to steal money from there prents and buy bitcoin.it may wreck there life soon

Yeah that is the sad truth when teenagers learned and get hooked to gambling.  They will steak even from their parents.  Then when they do not get enough, they will steal from other people.  Since they are young, they have a little resistance from urge of gambling and may commit theft if they do not have money.
That's true, but when you have some benefits you have a dark side of it.
I mean bitcoins gives the ability to gamble anonymously and hence a lot of people benefit from that while being it anonymous also makes it worse for kids as they can do whatever they want like porn or gambling.

But that said I would say parents should take care of this and make sure they have a control over their kids.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees!!! on: June 01, 2017, 07:27:49 PM
If you cash out by bitcoins at a casino and the casino doesn't add enough fees for fast confirmation. If the price of bitcoin drops a lot. Should the casino be held responsible for the price differences in which you cashed out at and the current loss in btc prices?
I think yes but no any casino will be willing to take this responsibility. They only update their system when someone report this issue to them and what best users can do is to either wait for confirmation or use tx accelerator services like viabtc tx accelerator to get faster confirmation.
I think theres no connection of an accelerator regarding on the thing that OP mention. It may push the transaction but on owners/players own expense which definitely means that casinos wont really bother at all on refunding you on what you have spent. If the price goes up then they wont claim on the excess bitcoin you do have since they do always base on bitcoins rate no matter how volatile is the price is.

It is true.  If we want to accelerate the confirmation of our transaction then it is to our expense.  The only responsibility of casino with our transfer is releasing the fund.  The delay of the confirmation is not covered of their responsibility since the fund is out of their hands and have been transfered to their client.
Yes, if someone can afford the accelerator so it is good for the transaction to be fast. If we demand it from the casinos to confirm our transactions and pay extra for our transactions to confirm we are totally wrong.

The casino has no concern with the confirmation of the transactions. The only role of the casino is to make sure that the funds have been released to the accounts.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is more risky. Sport or casino bets ? on: June 01, 2017, 06:37:14 PM
These financial interests only exist some of the time though, whereas when you're betting with a casino there's a 100% chance of a house edge and a 100% chance of losing your money in the long term (if you bet often).
Well yeah in the casino the probability is always the same.
I guess the casino betting is for the professionals only, I have never saw someone made money with the casino betting and became rich but only the professionals make money from the casino betting and they are the people who make high win margins and are happy otherwise a lay man is always in a loss.
1426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you enjoying the crazy Bitcoin price rise? on: June 01, 2017, 06:13:26 PM
It's going a bit too fast for my liking and as a result from that the dumps are much harder as well.

I'm a long term holder, but it still hurt to see your balance grow by 200-400% in a week only to see it drop almost the same in two days again.
Yes this is a one of a very bad feature of the bitcoin that it increases constantly and very fast but when it comes to price drop then the prices drops even faster than the ration with which the prices were gone high. It is really disappointing sometimes for the traders and the investors and especially for those who are new to the bitcoin related stuff.
1427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: June 01, 2017, 05:48:56 PM
What are the best sources of bitcoin I want to know ?
The best source of Bitcoin is Satoshi ;P lolz… just kidding mate, there is actually a confusion in this question like is it asked about the best source of purchase or of earning the bitcoin.

There will be other people like me who will really be thinking of this point, but as far as I have read the answers to it so they are mostly about the earning of the Bitcoin. I found most of the answers as same because I guess there are these few common ways to make/earn the Bitcoin.
1428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Took just 3 months to double in price. Bubble!!!!! on: June 01, 2017, 04:28:49 PM

to me the bubble was very suspicious be ause it happened so fast which makes it look like something is about to happen even the panic buyng of the japanese. if its just the japanese it should have gone up to 3k by now but seem to have slow down this time.
It of course was the Japanese demand for the Bitcoin which made a record hype to the price of the bitcoin. Saying that it was sort of a bubble which burst will not be fair at all. Yes the Japanese demand brought the Bitcoin price above 2K and this is what was really expected by the economists and the analysts. There still is a lot more scope in the price of the bitcoin which people yet have to experience.
1429  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you tihnk BTC will be worth after this? on: June 01, 2017, 11:14:30 AM
I appreciate all your calculation stuff that you made an impact that you really are a serious investor of the bitcoin.
But if I honestly say that I don’t look at the rate of the Bitcoin mining currently and even if I look at it I don’t get my answer in the direction.
For you being an investor it is good to have such a nice analysis but for me things are quite strange. I am a trader and I don’t make long term investments so, for me the calculations are a bit different.
1430  Economy / Economics / Re: Nobody Can Have Benefit From a Big Pump on: June 01, 2017, 06:37:45 AM
because the exchanges wouldn't allow you to sell your Bitcoins and make the fast profit, it would bring a big loss for exchange sites.
I do not think exchanges' working model is as per your thinking. exchanges are just matching buyers and sellers and hence they will not be in losses if they are allowing you to sell at higher prices. They will be still earning from the fee which is being paid for every buy/sell order execution.

If there is an exchange model where we are buying/selling only with the exchange house (not with another trader), then your point has valid reason. But exchanges are working as a market place where we can find buyers/sellers.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SNC] SunContract - Decentralized Energy Market on: May 31, 2017, 08:41:43 PM
When will the ICO begin? I eagerly awaited the latest information about this ICO.
The only announcement is that the token sale starts in June, but they are yet to update the specific dates, the projects seems to be a big one by connection the energy consumers and the consumers but i am not sure how that is possible,i am yet to read the white paper and then i will understand better about how they are planning to bridge between big corporate and consumers.
June month is not far away, it is just tomorrow and hence we can expect the devs to announce the commencement of ICO very soon. I am too very much curious for participating into their ICO.

Yes, it is kind of bridging corporate and consumers yet through green way. Yes, when a project is based on making use of freely available nature based resources like solar power we must appreciate them. This must be one of the reason I am too awaiting for start of ICO.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: May 31, 2017, 07:08:15 PM
to control greedy we need to cheat ourselves. We need to be behave like we are not actually aiming for big profits, even intentionally we are having that mindset. Over practice, I believe this way we can overcome greedy mindset.
Your idea might work in some perspective. But we need to be always conscious to showcase ourselves not greedy, otherwise our inner thoughts will come into action.

When you are trying to book profits early, not conscious about your plans, your inner thoughts might force you to wait for more bigger profits. Still, I agree anything will be harder only in the beginning days once we get practice to it then we can have greedy-free mentality very easily over time.
To overcome our emotions, we always need bigger time frame so that we can get practice to it. Greedy is being our basic characteristics, I believe it will not be easier to control it in weeks nor months. We might need years of practice. But even some professional gamblers are finding difficulties due to their greediness sometime. In my experience too controlling greedy is not an easier task.

You may need to move this topic into currency exchange board (options are available at left bottom of this page).
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: May 30, 2017, 06:42:51 PM
I'll invest in buying some bitcoins. Because I'm sure the next few days bitcoin prices can increase. Growing 500USD with bitcoin is now easier than any other investment.

Hmmm, something that has its advantages. Indeed today there are possibilities and potential that bitcoin will have or climb into a price above $5000. For now this bitcoin has begun known by some countries, such as Japan (overall). Now there are also some countries that got interested with the blockchain technology, so the potential to continue to go up and have a high value it is very large. And indeed we ought to have an investment in it, so that it can benefit. But such investment must be measured
Yes, compared to investing with any other things, I do too believe going with bitcoin trading/investment will be more secure in upcoming months.

Bitcoin has already soared to get attraction of investors, so world wide people are interested in adding bitcoin to their portfolios, so at this time if we are investing into bitcoin and holding it for some months will get us chances to become quick rich. I believe this trend will continue for years like for a decade too.
Like many people here, I am also interested to invest only with the bitcoin rather than risking in any other altcoins. Bitcoin investments is coming with some minimum guarantee like if we are ready to hold it for years then we can become millionaire too.

Yes, it is highly dependent on how long you are able to hold your bitcoin investments. There are people who are holding their bitcoin investment from 2011 and enjoying their holding just by watching by becoming millionaire by this time.
1435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do *you* decide what is a good investment? on: May 30, 2017, 07:45:35 AM
I will decide on the latest and see on the profit if it is good.I will go for good and fast to have profit. When I decided to invest my time working as a bitcoiner,Im expecting that all evedence of the bitcoiners that I can have it too.
My way trading is also adding new coins to my portfolio time to time. Because when we are taking more risks, the chances for making more profits will be high.

Because I do see many coins are simply sitting within some range and not breaking either upper side and lower sides. But if you watch new altcoins they are making their new peak levels. Then why should not be make use of them ? We should try new things all the times so that we can enjoy our trading along with making good profits considerably.
I agree, trader must look for new things for extending his trading experiences. But we should not lose our chances of making good profit when we are looking for new coins for more profits. I mean to say we must look for consistent profits rather than aiming for big profits.

There are enough old portfolio which are giving consistent fluctuations to make use by any trader. When we are having strong technical is analysis, we never need to look for new things. Because, a perfect technical analysis will find more possibilities to make more profits. When you will be comfortable with your profit levels, why you do not need to go for new trading opportunities by risking your capitals.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: May 29, 2017, 06:56:53 PM
I would definitely say that Bitcoin is the new era of currency. It is slowly becoming mainstream as more and more people are using it. However, if we want it to really become the new era of currency, a lot more people will need to start using it. But for me, it is definitely the new era of currency.

Saying that people must use it now is like pushing them to use bitcoin, if bitcoin is really the new era of currency, people will willingly use bitcoin without anyone pushing them to use it. With it's price and maybe some of it's characteristics, people will really like it, with the technology advancing, currency will do too, and bitcoin just open up a hole to the future.
Right now, I find bitcoin to be a nice investment moreso than a currency. I like to hold what I earn and just spend a portion for small purchases. We are fast becoming an interconnected world where a purchasing stuff online is becoming a regularity and with bitcoin being accepted in more  of these online (even offline stores) shops, there’s clearly a bright future for it in the digital currency world.
Yeah most of the people at the moment are doing so but I am not satisfied with this or may be my opinion about the Bitcoin is a different one. It is losing its core function of being to be used as a currency. It is just like storing the bitcoin currently. If it is not to be moved as a currency then I guess it is not good for it. Though it will be traded at a high price but it will be only with in the use a specific class and this will be the time for the alts to get a great market cap.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 29, 2017, 05:00:10 PM
Bitcoin is the real deal here, and altcoins is just another currency that would like to take a part of the growing industry that bitcoin is experiencing ever since. Altcoins are creating a thing that bitcoin never had because it is like a marketing strategy to attract people to use their created coin to have a value in price.
We can see that the price of the bitcoin is at a glance, in the mean while we can witness a bunch of the alts coming to the market listing and taking a chance for them to get a little market cap in such a situation I don’t consider the alts to be capable to create any sort of harmful situation for the Bitcoin. Also the bitcoin is expanding rapidly with high demand in the market for it.

I believe no altcoin could come near bitcoin in terms of being used as real currency. Altcoins may reach $200 levels or being traded in each and every exchange but the point is why they are existing as a currency when there is no competitive currency system feature  against bitcoins ?

@Devs: Can you please explain what is the difference between you project and:

Shapeshift?

Jaxx including Shapeshift?

Bitsquare?

BCExchange?

It is a repeating question, and we answered that in the thread, please can you read this post :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19108512#msg19108512
Could you please more specific ? Honestly I could not understand anything from the referred post. When I will be holding private-keys of my funds all the times, how exactly the actual exchange will take place. In depth foreseeing, I understand such kind of exchange is possible when I meet a person with similar interests, then it means NVO works similar to a marketplace just for finding exchangers ?
1440  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: May 25, 2017, 06:56:59 AM
is bitcoin more popular than US Dollar ?

Even a year after the post, bitcoin did not become more popular than the US dollar, because there are still many people who have not even heard of it.
It is because that bitcoin is still on its early age and dollar is established a lot of years already. But I know there will be the time thay everyone will talk about bitcoin and it is the one that will be used by everybody. And there's no need for bitcoin to becone popular, it will just happen suddenly.
This is so true I appreciate. The people still use the Bitcoin to earn dollars and the reason for people of accepting the bitcoin is that they want actually to store and increase the number of Dollars in the form of Bitcoin. people still treat Bitcoin as a commodity in several cases.
