421  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the market on: October 28, 2018, 02:30:29 PM
Honestly, what do you think will happen with the market? no matter how positive I want to be, I think that lot of people (myself included) were waiting for the bull run to start this month, but we're already at 25 and there's still no movement, I think we should be thankful that btc hasn't continued to drop, but many projections have fallen apart when we're almost entering November and nothing of the bull run, what do you think will happen with the market at the end? we're finally seeing the beginnings of a stabilization? our goal should be mass adoption now that prices are stable?
If you want bull run by all means, that shows how limited your level of understanding of this space is. First and foremost, bull run don't just happen all of a sudden, at least we get to see an uptrend start first and secondly, who promised you that once you get into this space, every year there will always be bull run.

Apparently, you should go back to whoever told you that and tell them, thank you for deceiving you. You not being positive will not change a thing and if you like be negative, as that will only affect you. One thing I am sure is that the market is still bullish in the long term and if the short term is the reason why you are here instead of focusing on development, then you really want to be thinking twice.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: ICO Token Allocation (Foundations) on: October 28, 2018, 07:52:22 AM
This is an interesting topic about which a lot people don't have much knowledge. The topic is intriguing and anyone with curious mind would love to know more about this thing. As such knowledge can help an investor or a trader in the long run.
Well, you do not sound like you know much about it either since you absolutely did not share anything tangible. If the team is deciding to use the word foundation to classify the team, then it is just the percentage that is meant to go to the team.

If it is not the team in this case, I am sure the foundation thing will most definitely be broken down when it comes to its usage in the long run, which would most definitely be on either the whitepaper or on the website. Most of the time though, in every ICO, the team usually allocates funds to themselves, as well as others, which is always found in the allocation chart, and I do not see this as any problem as long as it is a legit project.
423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your #1 top trading resource? on: October 28, 2018, 03:01:31 AM
Since I imagine that I am a little bit older than the average person in the forum I am not really comfortable with online courses when it comes to learning how to trade, if what you want to do is to watch the analysis of other people I agree that an online resource is better but when it comes to learning nothing surpass a few good books about the subject.
There is nothing actually bad when it comes to online educations resources, or trying to get a hold of some information on trades, it is what you do with them that matters most. There are actually some websites such as https://tradingstrategyguides.com/blog/ ... investopedia where you can easily get some helpful information that can make you become a better trader, it is just your zeal and patience to learn that matters most of the time and how you are able to apply those information you get to see when you start trading.

For now, my trading resource is telegram. For note, i only follow channel token that i still hold. Because i can see when developers update their project early and make my decision what i will do with my token
I am also part of many telegram channels but what I do get from them is, just attempts to pump in group some unknown or utterly lower level trading assets. After seeing their trading calls, I went for analyzing those coins and found why they did recommend one particular coin. Basically, some people are trying to bait innocent traders through these types of channels, hence being careful is suggested.
424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tools-risk management on: October 27, 2018, 06:39:13 PM
Are there any tools or website where i can enter my entry price and stoploos and target and RR is calculated. Even maybe some signal shows that trade is OK.

Basicaly i need help from tool to make calculation on trade, if its good or not...

Hope you know what i mean
Tradingview is really good for it, I agree that it is definitely at the realm of "there is not much else you could ask for". If you use tradingview you could potentially do backtesting too, backtesting wouldn't give you the future and what will happen but at least it is good to know what could have happened.

You can use it to calculate the potential losses and you can use it to calculate stop loss and all you asked for. It requires a membership but I am not sure if the free membership is enough for you or you need to buy the paid one. If you need to get the paid one I would suggest you to use it further than you need, there are much more comprehensive stuff that you could take advantage of and really help you out and if you could just use free version than that is better.
425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Bitcoin Now For end off year 2018 on: October 27, 2018, 01:02:55 PM
The very best time to buy bitcoin is when its market value fluctuates or falls down deep. It is a very good opportunity for everyone who finds it necessary to add more bitcoin on their holdings while the price is cheap.
Yeah, there is no doubt about that, but the question is that if you do not have the proper knowledge to understand the market, how will you even know if has gotten deep enough. Even with knowledge, generally the market is volatile and in most cases you just have to admit within your mind that as long as the price you are buying is good for you as an investor, no matter what happens next and as long as you believe in the long term, you will just stick with it.

It pays traders the more, considering the fact that in most cases, they are able to manage themselves with the market fluctuations, but with an investor, you just have to keep seeing every deep as an opportunity.
426  Economy / Speculation / Re: To the SEC bitcoin ETFs can be a bad idea.. on: October 27, 2018, 07:03:15 AM
ETF is a safe space for people who do not either understand how to actually buy bitcoin or really care to learn how to buy bitcoin.
It is not for people like you and me who are here that writes. ETF's usually do not have that type of volume to actually have the chance to double your profits.

By your logic if you can manage to buy bitcoins and increase the price than sell your bitcoins and use that money to short ETF and say it will go down than everyone would do that, however if you say bitcoin will go down you will have to find a counter-party that would get that contract, which in ETF world is not THAT big, its small. People can still manipulate it but do not forget SEC will be checking it with ETF making it official for them.

Hence, the whales manipulating the market is already here and doing it, they don't need SEC approved version of it with risks.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 138: Volkan vs Smith Prediction and Info Thread on: October 26, 2018, 05:58:38 PM
Another in between game. This will not be as pretty as some other cards but at least we have some people who are eager to show themselves. Bellator has been consistent about sending their best to UFC so far and that is why we get to see people who fight their first fights (or one of their early ones) fight like hell, they are not new fighters, they are established and accomplished fighters who happen to fight somewhere else so far and get to UFC just recently.

Volkan and smith both has been amazing so far and I think it would be a great clash of experienced fighters. Volkan has fought against Dormier which is a great accomplishment even tho he lost, it is amazing to reach those levels considering the competition. Smiths latest fight was against rua and he gained the performance of the night with it. I still see Volkan as the favorite here but I do not think it will be a clear cut fight unless something unexpected happens.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: October 26, 2018, 11:57:24 AM
besides, use dead money to do gambling for example money from trade or other benefits, do not spend capital to gamble from the private pocket that we have so that when we experience a loss do not feel too lost because the money we play to gamble is money from profits we get from other results and aim to be developed from the results of these benefits.
Why would you even want to waste money that you made from trading into gambling? If you are someone who is diligent about taking care of their own asset this would not be the option you would think of. The phrase "spare money" is an oxymoron. There are people in this world who beg for a piece of bread to feed themselves while there are people who are so rich they waste their food. Use that spare money you get to something more fruitful than gambling it away.

We see a lot of  people sulking in casino chatrooms about making money from trading then wasting it away - dont be one of those. Be decisive and take your money into your hands.
I really do wonder and I wonder why the guy will even be considering profit from trading as dead money.
This is a money you took your time to get based on your knowledge and experience, and blowing it all away into gambling, while considering it as dead money sound absurd to me.

In this case, trading should even be seen as a job and a profession and people who really do not take it for granted, will not in any way see it as money they could just blow away. Like you said, and adding to it, in life it is all about being smart and anyone who ends up having mentality like ocid, it usually does not end well most of the time for people in those category.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 7 Reasons why you don’t play blockchain games on: October 26, 2018, 08:13:05 AM
If you play on gambling websites with provably fair the "blockchain games" works out because that is a way you can actually trust a casino works properly and how you can trust it easily without worrying about if you could or not. However, if you are going to play something that says "play this game and earn bitcoin at the same time" you are probably going into something that will eventually scam you for sure.

There has been too many times when people just played a game and made money enough to withdraw and the system told them "send x amount to withdraw for miner fee" and when you send that money you suddenly get either banned from the game or lose all your money and can't withdraw. Unfortunately for a while during 2016 it was quite common and even today there are some of them exist today.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 25, 2018, 05:51:53 PM
Watched Schalke and Galatasaray game and it was everything I really expected. Galatasaray certainly did not get ready for champions league and they were at a financial crisis just couple years ago so their roster was not fully prepared for champions league, they do not even have a striker that could potentially help them out with a miracle goal or anything, they played basically without a forward on their team. On the other hand Schalke was around last year and played great and all that however this year they suck both on champions league and on Bundesliga as well. Both teams played mediocre and they both had good shots at each other but eventually they failed to capitalize and seize the win.

The only good think about the game was the defender on Galatasaray side, he was something like 16 years old I think and dude was everywhere, he tackled very well, he ran a lot, he passed perfectly, at that age I would probably be scared to be a sideline referee let alone play and dude played with a cold blood, has mad potential to be a serious defender if he keeps his head low and keep training hard.
431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you're ~15% in the red, is it crazy to sell? on: October 25, 2018, 05:10:19 PM
I didn't act on the recent crash,,, i had bought at about 230$ markets currently just above 200$
I know the right idea is likely to hold, as the market will go up eventually.. but i predict in the intermediate term it'll go down further.
I guess this is where the psychology of trading comes into play.. I'm in regret and want to sell at a 15% loss in order to have a chance of making the 15% back and then be able to continue trading as i was before the recent dip.

When you're 'marooned' with coins that are worth less than you bought them is the right idea; always to hold?
I just want to practise trading further... and have no spare capital to do so..
In trading there is really never a "wrong" you can't really recover from. Even warren buffet sometimes buys stuff that drops in value or he attempts to buy something and decides not to at the last minute and misses out on great profits.

So yeah, if you want to sell at 15% in the red that wouldn't be a bad idea at all, however it would be unwise to just sit with the loss, you do not go after the loss and try to chase after it and lose more but you end up hitting the reset button and doing smarter moves next time. That is what is important here, learning from your mistakes, having the right mindset and redoing it differently and better next time and earning profits.

If you end up losing once again, you have to ask yourself was it the same thing that caused you to lose again or was it different, if it was the same thing than why did you fell for the same trap and if it was something different have you learned from it. Losing is a way to winning do not forget that.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If the bull run comes this year, how high do you think that ETH can reach to? on: October 25, 2018, 03:47:44 PM
I do keep the positive look at ETH, it could increase above $1k again.
your thoughts?
Well, if bull run comes, I really do not want to care how high Ethereum eventually goes, I just want to watch the trend and then deal with the market as it comes. It is possible that at some point we might get to see Ethereum hitting its previous ATH, but that is something that only time can actually give us.

For now, what I am more particular about is buying the dips and then waiting for the long term to be able to get the best from the market eventually, which in this case, that is the patience to wait for the bull run. It is a bull run and what makes it a bull run is that most market will hit the moon which includes ETH but how far it goes, we will leave for time to decide.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Use case of anonymous coins? on: October 25, 2018, 11:58:39 AM
How do you think what kind of use case is appropriate for anonymous coin other than money laundering?
I think that it is suitable for purchase of adult content, but I can not get an idea anything else.
How do you think about this Huh
There are two types of reasons to use them. One is privacy from really hard dictator like countries where you really need to get your money out and if they are really interest in blockchain and bitcoin and all kinds of stuff and really hard on your economics and when you try to leave the country check everything on your background than they could potentially find bitcoin and similar stuff thanks to bank account transactions from such companies. Even with your IP that could be traced. However if your have a wallet with Tor already built-in with it (like spectrecoin) than there is no way they could ever follow your transactions and you can do whatever you want it.

Second one is more conspiracy theory type people, they could do whatever they want with their money and save it aside with a privacy coin and they can rest assured the government is not "out to get them" because their money is protected and hidden.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay for picks? on: October 25, 2018, 05:09:01 AM
I am honestly against paying for picks. The internet is very wide and if you really search for it ( and not search that deep tbf) you can find a lot of great sports bettors who share their bets online all the time.

There are people who have won 20000+ times and lost maybe 100 times total that gives out free picks even here on bitcointalk and if you search wider on other more niche to that topic places you can find even better people. Now, when there are people who share that type of picks for free I really do not see how you should pay for it for some other person.

I do not obviously follow any of them because honestly sports betting is not a science and teams always end up doing whatever they feel like that day, for example I would have guessed lakers would have at least won once so far but they haven't, that type of stuff constantly happens in sports.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: October 24, 2018, 07:16:59 PM
Real Madrid have been performing very badly lately, they have lost a few matches to weaker teams and I cannot imagine how the fans of Real Madrid will react today if their team could not even beat Viktoria Plzen at the stadium of Santiago Bernabeu. In the past, I would surely place my bets on Real Madrid to win this match in full time despite the low payout on the odds, but I guess I would skip betting on this match today since it is hard to predict the performance of Real Madrid at the moment.

Real Madrid 2 - 1 Viktoria Plzen. But even though Real Madrid won, their performance wasn't very impressive. I still doubt what if they meet with a stronger team than Viktoria Plzen, whether they will be able to win the match. For now, it's better to skip the match involving Real Madrid first.
I think it all started with sending away Cristiano Ronaldo, not that he was THAT much of a difference, of course he is one of the best players in the world even tho he got older he was still an amazing performer and I think he can play high level football for at least another 4 years however the "psychology" of him being transferred was more hurtful than the actual transfer itself.

The absence of Ronaldo of course is felt but the "real Madrid doesn't care about what you have done so far, they see this as a business and nothing more" makes other players look for other teams that has more "family team" feeling probably. No one really gives their best anymore because they feel like it doesn't really worth to give their full to this team anymore, they feel like they could be sent any day as well.

Hence, I think sending Ronaldo had a lot more consequences than just "we do not have Ronaldo on the pitch anymore" type of problem.
436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading outside of crypto? on: October 24, 2018, 04:19:35 PM
I've not really traded outside of Cryptocurrencies. Its true the stock markets are manipulated.you only need make time to investigation and then you have a perfect strategy to always trade the market.
Stock exchange most of the time is actually more like a matured market when compared to cryptocurrency but they are basically like in the same vein, except that the volatility is a whole lot different. Trading other market is not a bad idea, as I have always loved the idea of diversifying anyway, but the thing is that you just do not want to opt in an environment without at least getting a full glimpse of what that environment is like. It is not just about trading in this case, you also have to understand the rules, the news and some other technical and fundamental stuffs pertaining the market, which if you do not have can be disastrous in most cases.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the strangest or craziest thing you witnessed in a casino? on: October 24, 2018, 02:55:52 PM
How hard the life of that woman lived, she lost everything because gambling even became a prostitute. really pity. I play gambling with the limits of my ability, if the money in my pocket is up I will go home, I will not sell the items that I have, if you lose, do not force to continue playing because it will make your situation worse.

Never use money intended for other purposes in gambling because if we lose, of course we want to chase it quickly and we will tend to use the more risky ways. Once we have a problem with gambling, usually other problems will follow and it is difficult to get out of the circle.
In fact, I would say never gamble all because you are trying to chase some winnings in the first place as that is the only way you can even come to terms with reality that gambling is just a game of luck and nothing else. The rate, at which people tend to focus on gambling like their life depends on it, is the reason why they get messed up and screwed in the long run.

Our mindset is what helps us to be able to gain that control eventually and if you peradventure get so deep in trying to get huge wins in gambling, you will find it pretty hard to come to terms with reality.
438  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar Efect on the world and Crypto on: October 23, 2018, 08:34:27 AM
It depends on the usage of it as well. If dollar gets stronger and at the same time invested on third world countries it wold improve those countries much better whereas when it is losing value and getting withdrawn from those countries it kills the economy like it did in Turkey.

If they are smart they could potentially invest it into something that would yield profit even after the dollar is withdrawn but if not than they would have to face the consequences like they are right now. All in all the power of dollar depends on how you use it, if you use it wisely than it can really build a whole country with enough amount of investment and make it go from third world country to second world country quickly in 4-5 years.

Nevertheless, if you do not use it smartly than it would only make your inevitable economic crisis postpone for couple years until its withdrawn and than you will have a huge sudden fall just like Turkey is having right now.
439  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: October 23, 2018, 07:32:38 AM
If you had 10000$ where would you invest it?  I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and  now they are all gone, so should I only invest in  BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?
I would definetly go with ethereum first. Right now I believe at 200 dollars it is highly undervalued and could go a lot more than this, I believe achieving $300 and even $400 is quite easy for it and just around the corner, getting to $12k in bitcoin is looking harder than achieving $400 in ethereum to me.

However at this point, no matter what you buy you would have to wait for the prices to go back up in a bull run. I would still hold all my coins in bitcoin because at least it goes up and down whereas altcoins are going down no matter what. Hence for now bitcoin is best option but for long term ethereum seems like one of the best options. Nano still has an insane follower for the marketcap and the price so anytime the bull hits nano should probably go x3-x4 easily too so I would get a bit of that as well. It would probably be like $4k for btc, $4k for eth and $2k for nano for me.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptoworld is all encompassing on: October 22, 2018, 06:32:44 PM
That is purely blockchain and not "crypto" because the coins and tokens are primarily investment methods however the blockchain is not. You can create a new coin based on a new innovative feature in the blockchain technology that helps out the real estate world however the coin would still be an investment method that has nothing to do with the real estate world whereas the blockchain would be helping out that sector. Same goes for any business and any new technology regarding crypto, the tokens and coins are all economics and blockchain is all technology side of it.

Basically it is a new method and a new coding skill that allows people to improve the way something works, it could be anything from insurance to hospitals to government all can be improved thanks to new blockchain systems coded into their software and it will be great.
