The thing is this.... all the code that are used in third party Slots and games are proprietary software..... they are not using Open source code that can be Peer reviewed or tested by the public. The licensing authorities most probably, do not test the software to determine if it "legit".... they just govern and regulate the operation of these companies. How will they know if the code in the software will bypass the output of the Client & server seed and the RNG to display a loss, when it was actually a big win? ....or to freeze the game, when there are a significant win? ...or to display a fake RTP when it is audited and hiding the actual RTP.

You can quickly determine someones financial literacy, when you ask them what gives value to fiat currencies. So, the person will first ask you what Fiat currencies are..... then they will say that Fiat currencies are backed by Gold.
A lot of them does not even know what inflation is and how it is calculated. So, the basics of financial literacy is lacking, because the governments are not providing their citizens with the knowledge (educational system) to teach them.
Why? Well, if they know that a signature, printed on a piece of paper or a simply a promise from a government are backing Fiat currencies, then they will consider looking for something else.

For anyone that feels infected/affected by the FUD from The Guardian, here are two amazing resources addressing the issue of Bitcoin and its energy consumption in an objective way. https://bitcoincleanup.com/https://endthefud.org/energyOne would wish major news-outlets would strive for objective journalism. Ofc they don't but still... wouldn't it be nice. When you read the Guardian's article, there is no discussion about what the energy is actually used for. The paragraph about Bitcoins energy consumption is short and contains almost no real journalistic effort at all. Ugh. This "attack" on Bitcoin will never stop, because it does not suit the agenda of the people that are behind the "FUD" and misinformation. They can be faced with the facts, like you posted here and they will simply ignore it, because they will cherry pick the data that will further their agenda. We should balance the scales with mass education of the public on a global scale, so that the people themselves can make an informed decision, when it comes to information like this.

Well, you started your thread by comparing the devaluation of Fiat currencies to Crypto currencies... right? We compare Crypto currencies like Bitcoin to Fiat to highlight it's flaws, because we need to educated the uneducated on the advantages to using this technology as an alternative to Fiat currencies. In any way, if you "save" Fiat currencies in the correct way, you can beat inflation and still grow your wealth... but it is a constant fight to beat inflation to protect the value of your money.

Well, my lessons learnt is simple : Do not invest in shitcoins - There are a lot of shitcoins out there and people are dumping money into tokens that has no real utility, so it has no future. Do not buy when the price is high - I got into a habit to buy when I got my salary.. and it was the wrong thing to do. You should shift those funds to a separate account and wait for the price to drop. Then you buy with all the money that you saved... so wait for the bargain price.

Hi, I'm new on this forum, and I gotta say, this topic on the psychology of betting is pretty interesting. I totally agree that as humans, we're always looking for patterns, even when they don't exist. Actually, I used to think that pressing the bet button at a certain time would give me a better outcome. But now I know that the outcome is decided in milliseconds after I press the button. It's all about the RNG and RTP.
Well first of all, welcome to the forum and welcome to my thread. Yes, the result that you are seeing is just a graphical representation of the outcome that has been determined a few milliseconds after you pressed the "bet" button. You actually have to go to "Brick n mortar" casinos and then take time to observe people's reactions to appreciate this. You find that some people are rubbing the screen.... others press the side of the bet button and some have a whole ritual that they follow to make bets. It is all in the mind..... and it has nothing to do with the mechanism of the way that the outcome are calculated.

AFAIK there is a rule that old bets are not accepted, means that any bets that happened before they officially started the live challenge should not win the challenge. Does it mean that the mod is not checking the bet IDs properly that make the old bet win the challenge? If the mod did it by mistake and if the prize has already been rewarded to the winner, at least the mod should give a warning to this user as maybe such user who tried to participate by submitting old bets can be called as cheater. Yes, you are not allowed to post "saved" wins, but people wait for the Slot hunt to start and then they post it. The moderator did not pick up on it or he was not informed about it, so the winner was accepted. Now, we have to understand that mistakes does happen and mods are human, but let's highlight the mistakes to prevent them in the future. A challenge is not a challenge if people post "saved" wins within 1 second of the challenge and the challenge is over in 3 minutes.... right. Yeah, you are sure right friend, though I didnt participate in the said contest, have never really, but I sure do understand how painful a d hurting such experience would be on those who choose to participate fairly in the contest, even though I personally think that the organizers of such a contest should naturally know that there is no way some persons won't try to cheat, this is make them verify every post critically before choosing a winner, at least to give the fair participants a fair chance of winning.. But then, if they fail, it is also good to point out such a fault to them, so they take note and do better next time. Well, there has been a slight improvement, since I have highlighted this issue. The last couple of challenges included some slots that has not been featured regularly and the people who have won in almost all the time slots has not won since. (Some of the challenges lasted hours...not minutes, so that is an improvement) I hope this is not going to be a temporary thing.... with "cheaters" going into the wood work until most of the smoke has blown over and then coming back after a week or two... but I will monitor this and keep them on their toes.

Hi Betzus! Welcome to BitcoinTalk Forum.
I think you guys should learn something from the Brick n Mortar casinos, because they found the secret sauce to setting the correct ambient environment to get people to gamble longer.
My first look at your casino was not very good, because the bright colors were hard on the eyes. If you notice what brick n mortar casinos are doing, then you will see that they use slightly dimmed lightning to set the correct environment. These bright colors are irritating and for that reason, people might stay a little less, because the environment is to over powering.
Just my 2 cents.

I am not sure if we are going to see a huge bull run to $100k in the near future. The world has changed a lot since Covid and the war between the Ukrainians and Russia. The global economy are struggling and the investment patterns has changed to adopt to an economy that goes into hibernation. (People are seeing save havens) The Bitcoin volatility is not something that are attractive to institutional investors, so we are not going to see large amounts of institutional investors, investing in Bitcoin. If it does go to $100.... I will take 50% of my coins and sell it to take some profits.

In my country inflation are manipulated by adding or removing products or goods to the inflation basket that has minimal impact. The inflation statistics are a poor reflection of the true inflation in the country. Example : Vegetable Oil went up the most and it was removed from the inflation basket. The Reserve Banks play "smoke & mirror" games with the money printing and inflation and citizens does not understand the long-term impact of those measures.

OP, we know that governments bailed out Banks in the previous crisis and that it could only bolster their existence for a few years. The cracks are now being exposed with the high inflation and the impact of Covid and the Russia vs Ukrainian war. The problem now will be to convince people that Bitcoin is a safe haven, because the volatility in the Bitcoin price.. has been one of the factors that kept institutional investors away from Bitcoin. It has only been a few years ago, when the Bitcoin price was $60 000+ .... now it is floating around $30 000.

It is only "private" ..if you keep it "private". There are a saying... How do you know a person is a Bitcoiner? Answer : He or she tells you. We Bitcoiners have the need to tell people that we are Bitcoiners and that paints a target on our backs for criminals to target us. Yes, Bitcoin is not a physical object, but if criminals know that you own bitcoins.. then they will use physical force to get it from you.

I have to say, I never watched any women's cricket before the Women's World Cup in South Africa ....but after seeing the quality of the cricket that were delivered in the Women's World Cup.. I changed my mind. I am glad to see other tournaments branching out to women's cricket now, but unfortunately participation in my country are relatively low, so they are struggling to get enough women to hosts local tournaments.

Even they said you loser, no need to worry. Because the decision by the team, not by the alt-account. In these case, not really worried at all being called losses just say it they are doing a fake. I'm sure all admin are checking before making the decision. No, I am in no way intimidated by cheaters.... I make it my mission to expose them. We all have a limited gambling budget and I feel we should have a level playing field, when it comes to challenges like this. I just hope all the "admins" are trained to spot these cheaters and how to mitigate cheating with these challenges. I had an issue with some people winning 2 times in a 24 hour period too, but the "admins" ignored my concerns and told me that it was not calculated in hours, but rather in time slots. (so I had to accept it) I just want to compete fairly.... that's all.

It all depends on what stage of your life you are.... If you have been a civil servant for many years and you have built up a good pension, then I will keep that job and trade Crypto currencies in my spare time. If you are a younger person, with a long future ahead of him or her.... then I will take the chance and start Crypto currencies on a full-time basis. If it turns out to be a mistake, you still have a lot of time to start a new career and to build a pension for the future. People with fixed expenses, like car or bond payments should also never rely on commission based income or profit based income on trading.

You are referring to "Passive income" .....and mining for Crypto currencies are definitely not passive income. There are a lot of work and effort that goes into the configuration and maintenance of mining rigs and also the cooling of these rigs. You have to be on 24hour standby to handle any problems that might happen with those mining rigs and then you have to deal with mining pools and the conversion of the tokens to fiat for utility payments.

The younger generation will find many advantages with this technology, because they are more technologically inclined, so the adoption rate will be much higher under the younger people. The younger people are also living a much faster life, where they want instant gratification and faster technologies. Fiat currencies and payment systems are outdated and slow... so Bitcoin will be a better fit for them.

Players using saved wins to win the Stake Slot hunt ==> https://prnt.sc/IWSIGQGNsQBJ ....user posted winning bet within seconds of the start of the Slot hunt slots being posted on Telegram. They are not even hiding it anymore..... so when you dispute it, the Alts come out and defend it...and then it goes over to mocking and "loser" labeling. There must be ways to track if the winners are using Alts and if they are posting actual wins that happened after the slots have been posted? It is not difficult to line up a bunch of Alts with winning bets and wait for the Telegram post to announce what the slots are. The slot choices for the challenges are not really difficult to predict.... they are just swapping from a small pool of slots every time. Suggestion : Make a rule that a random bet id must be done before the hunt is started and the bet id be posted in the Telegram channel with the challenge. (Only bet id's bigger than the one posted will count for the challenge)

Some smaller platforms might have unique games you won't see elsewhere, communities more suited for the kind of person you are. Or more personalized service.
Of course, you may pay a price with fewer options. And certainly don't go to a site just because it's small. Smaller sites may on average be more willing to scam customers.
That said, bigger platforms can get overly bureaucratic, loose touch with their roots and what not.
Can you give me an example of a site with "new" and innovative games that are offered by smaller sites, that have not been used on large sites? I am not talking about a new interface for crash, but a whole new concept and game engine. I do agree with you.... bigger sites are losing touch with the smaller gamblers, because they focus too much on the highrollers. It's unfortunate that smaller gamblers are being neglected, because several 100's of smaller gamblers ..make up 1 or 2 highrollers.
