1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bot for trading - arbitrage on: March 28, 2019, 01:27:47 PM
I have tried several arbitrage platforms and trust me it is not a good idea, the best thing that could happen is you will never get any profit or even you lose. There are many worse possibilities like it end up being an exit scam, or they will use all of your crypto to buy their own token, without your consent. There are many another easy way to arbitrage, you can find some arbitrage tool that analyze the cryptocurrency price in several crypto exchanges market, and it is better than using bot. You still take your own decision.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔷 🔷 Crypto news telegram channel 🔷 🔷 on: March 28, 2019, 01:21:45 PM
Telegram channel might be a good alternative for someone who has high mobility, but I still think that creating a website or blog will attract more visitor, moreover you can get some money from ads. However, I really appreciate you doing this. Creating a telegram channel that Provide news and information are way better than creating a channel that disguises as a crypto signal, when it actually just a pump and dump.
1443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE REALLY NEED MORE STABLE COINS? on: March 28, 2019, 01:17:53 PM
No, we don't need more stable coin, there are already 3 or even more out there. In fact, it might be an unpopular opinion but I think we don't need any stable coin at all in the market. We already have USD pair, in many exchanges so why do we need a stable coin?
And not to mention that most the company and project behind the stable coin are doing shady activity.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (Ada) Is Coming to the Ledger Nano S Hardware Wallet on: March 28, 2019, 01:13:07 PM
Really good news for Cardano, to be honest, last year I was really sceptical about this project, it seems like Cardano is just another smart contract platform, an Ethereum copycat just like many other smart contract platforms, but watching their latest development they seems like going on the right direction, as soon as the crypto market recover I think buying some ADA will be a very good decision.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP]POW/POS/MN Gifcoin |💰 THE COIN FOR THE PEOPLE! on: March 28, 2019, 12:50:08 PM
Why do people always make the mistake of posting a ANN thread in this part of the forum, when it is boldly stated that this part of the forum is not for ANN thread but for altcoin discussions.

For example, if you want us to discuss about your altcoin base on price prediction or the future of the project, then I think this is the best place for that, but if you want to start up a project and create an ANN thread, the best place for you to do this is to move this topic to the altcoin announcement board of this forum.

Haha, yeah this is hillarious, I also have seen so many post that actually ANN, but I don't think it is a mistake, they purposely post their project announcement thread in this section because I think altcoin discussion is the section with the most section, but they don't know that eventually moderator will move their thread, or even worst delete it.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Hardware Wallet Battle on: March 28, 2019, 05:21:32 AM
They are trying to keep the review balanced but to me ledger is a clear winner.
I like the design better and it's made of metal so better materials as well.
Supports more cryptocurrencies.
Is cheaper.
These three things make it so much better!

Totally agreed the Ledger Nano S got all I need to be the best hardware wallet, the design is sleek and slim you don't need much space for it. It also cheaper compared to other competitor, however for someone who has more money to spend for their hardware wallet they can buy the Nano X instead. And both Ledger Nano X and S support many cryptocurrencies.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do I pay taxes when I sell an alt coin for bitcoin? on: March 28, 2019, 05:07:03 AM
If what you meant by taxes is the tax that you pay to a government, I don't think you pay any tax if you just buy/sell alt-to-btc or btc-to-alt you might need to pay taxes if you buy/sell bitcoin to Fiat money, but it also only occur in some exchange.
However, you still need to pay the exchange fees if you buy/sell alt to bitcoin. Most of exchange have fees, only small number of exchange does not have exchange fee, only withdrawal fee.
1448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The best 4 months profit scenario? on: March 28, 2019, 04:56:34 AM
I still think the top 10 coinmarketcap is the best coin to invest right now, like BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, and so on. I will not put any huge amount of money to a new project. But since you ask to be recommended for cheap coin, I will recommend the only cheap coin that I think is actually worth to invest in. search for SUQA, their project are quite good compared to other similar new projects, and their market movement was also decent lately.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Second Attempt: Bittrex Announces Its First Initial Exchange Offering on: March 28, 2019, 04:33:37 AM
If this becomes a huge success, we can expect more to come, like what the article says " IEO model could help restore the trust of investors and push the industry forward." that means ICO and bounty hunting would just become a second for a company to launch their crowdfunding.

Totally agreed, Binance has shown that IEO is actually more reliable and preferable by both investor and developer. If other Big Exchange like Bittrex following it's step, IEO will attract more investor and project developer. But however eventually when many left ICO and pick IEO instead, bounty hunting will be still be needed even when company using IEO, since the competition is getting more tight between project, they will need more promotion.
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC price and trading volume going up on: March 28, 2019, 04:29:31 AM
Hi,
LTC seems to be doing alright, lately. Especially against BTC. It's going up on a steady pace.

I was looking at the coingecko graph and I notice that the trading volume looks very solid, lately, and it seems to go upwards. (Not sure btw where coingecko gets its info from).

..

Two questions.

a) Why is Litcoin doing so well of late?

LTC all-time-high: $360
Current price: $59

So it is still far cry for it's all-time-high. We have been bitcoin going strong lately and touches $4k, and as we all know that altcoins follow bitcoin price, so this might be the likely case for now.

b) How can we explain that solid trading volume?

thanks

Please see my answer on your first question. But I will tell you a little secret about Litecoin. There will be a block halving in 136 days so be sure to stack up today and accumulate and wait for the next block halving and I'm sure that the price could go on another all-time-high. Grin

https://www.litecoinblockhalf.com/

I don't think we can just determine the coin value based only the comparison between it's all time high and current price, since the market condition is not very well lately, and I think what OP want to point out is that the daily trading volume of LTC is pretty good while it does not directly effect the LTC price, it is a good sign that LTC market is very active. And the price is actually raising slowly.

For me LTC is a decent project, it won't replace bitcoin as the main payment cryptocurrency, but it will still be the first alternative beside BTC.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gambling altcoins - are they fundamentally undervalued? on: March 28, 2019, 04:16:53 AM
I don't think gambling is much as a key use case for cryptocurrency, since crypto can do much more than just a gambling chip. However, crypto that the main utilization is as a gambling chip is not bad either, since many people in crypto community are involve in gambling, investing in gambling coins are not a bad idea. But for now I don't think they are undervalued, they have the value they actually deserve.
And I think they will bounceback when Bitcoin and other crypto too.
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are Social Networks like Facebook and Twitter moving towards blockchain? on: March 28, 2019, 04:07:05 AM
well, of course because blockchain is actually useful for them, both Facebook and Twitter use blockchain as media to compensating their user. But I think they will find much more utilization on blockchain, and other big platform will also join the blockchain movement eventually.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discussion: Altcoin (own their blockchain) vs Alt-token (relie on other B-chain) on: March 28, 2019, 04:03:48 AM
Well, in term of stability and scalability of the platform, the one that have their own blockchain system is more preferable, but I don't think it is a big deal compared to other factor, like the product adoption, and does the project actually solve real problem. It does not matter for me whether the project have their own project or not as long as they have a good team behind them, and decent whitepaper and vision.
1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested in an altcoin in 2018? on: March 27, 2019, 09:30:45 AM
I do not invest in UTRUST and I do not know what is UTRUST, but the title of your thread is somehow confusing, it will be better if you put "UTRUST" in your title, since most of the people click on your thread because of the title. And because you specifically asking about UTRUST so people who have the same interest in UTRUST will more likely to click this thread.
1455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KYC and identity theft risk on: March 26, 2019, 01:21:46 PM
I only send my document to one exchange and it is a local exchange in my country, their company is transparent and very clear, so if anything happened with my document I believe they will take full responsibility for it. However I also use some other exchange to trade my coins, but all of them does not require KYC or any personal document, like Binance, CoinExchange, and STEX.
And basically I don't think it is possible to trade your crypto and exchange it to Fiat money without sending any personal document, you just need to pick the exchange you can trust.
1456  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hitbtc withdraw problem!!! on: March 26, 2019, 01:17:33 PM
I have the same experience with you, but not with Bitcoin and it is a deposit, not withdrawal. And believe me their support service is extremely slow. It is like 4 days before the support actually give the first reply to my complaint ticket, and then they need more than 3 days to actually solve the problem.
1457  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free listing exchanges on: March 26, 2019, 01:15:12 PM
Hello guys, do you know where exchanges have free listing services? or through vote?

There are some exchanges that instead asking for payment to list your token, they will list some tokens and then their community can vote and decide which coin will be listed, it is basically free. But, trust me if you want to win the voting you will need to spend some money so the community will vote for your coin. Otherwise if your coin is a token run on some platform like Ethereum, Waves, or Stellar, there are some Decentralize Exchange that will list your coin freely.
1458  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can any Kind Soul please give a honest review of signaltrader.io ? on: March 26, 2019, 01:05:05 PM
this looks to me like the modern pump and dump groups which only has a better design and some additional features!
entering the cryptocurrency trading market doesn't require any intermediary! if you want to make profit then just start it yourself and if you can't then using these scam services is not going to make it any better for you.

Yeah, seem so, I believe they have another something like Premium Group that share the same signal but earlier, so when people decided to follow the signal, they actually just feed the premium member of the signal, and most of the time, they will be the one that thrown under the bus.
I don't think any signal group is honest they always have pump and dump premium group behind them.
1459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How does shapeshift/changelly work? on: March 26, 2019, 01:01:58 PM
they have accounts on multiple cryptocurrency exchange, and when you decided to exchange your crypto in Changelly or Shapeshift you actually let them to handle your coin and traded them in other exchanges. It will be good option if you want to do a quick trade, since their algorithm will find the best deal, you don't need to worry about the price difference of several exchanges, but their fee is ridiculously high compared to other traditional crypto exchanges.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publish0x - The next Steemit? on: March 21, 2019, 01:35:43 PM
I just registered to the platform and seems like they are still filtering everyone who want to author and contribute to the site. I mean when I apply to be an author they requiree me to submit some porftolios, and its good so the platform don't turn into spamming trashcan. I think this site will be huge.
