I spoke to a friend about Bitcoin and he asked if it is safe to invest Pension funds in Bitcoin considering the fact that this is a retirement saving. I am skeptical of investing people's funds in this coin because it can't be predicted also we cannot overlook the fact that Bitcoin may enhance investment returns at retirement.
However, my findings from people that work in these organizations say contributor's funds in some categories can be invested in risky investments because of the high return on investment and contributors have the option to opt for this option but with the exception of the soon-to-retiree.
Every type of investment is associated with some degree of risk and investing pension in Bitcoin can be highly risky as Bitcoin value can fluctuate significantly in short periods, and there is no guarantee that this investment will yield high amount of returns, so make informed decision based on your risk tolerance limits . There are many organization who make investment in pension funds on behalf of their clients, and this kind of investment is relatively safe as it is a mixture of low and high risky assets including Bitcoin. This approach, which involves diversification of investments, is considered relatively safe to invest in pension funds. |

Today I was thinking about Bitcoin and where it will finally go up. And I came to the conclusion that I don't really understand what is the right thing to do with Bitcoin after it will "go to the moon".
So I wanted to ask you all, what are you planing to do with bitcoin when it will go to 70k, 80k etc. Are you planing to sell it or you will keep holding it?
If you will sell it, at what price are you planning to do it?
While it is a personnel decision to hold sell or take any action with your Bitcoin, which entirely depends on financial situation and goals, but I prefer prefer to allocate my assets in a staking pools where it can generate some satoshis on regular basis, rather than leaving an asset idle and waiting for return of bull market. Even if the reward had significantly decreased by that point, it would still be worthwhile given how much the price of bitcoin would have increased. And given how expensive mining equipment is become, we might also see a decline in the number of miners.
In my onion, all Bitcoin (21 Million) are mined the miners may charge higher fee for validating the transactions because this will be only source of their income as mining rewards will diminish. It is also possible that number of miners will decrease as there won't be much revenue in mining activity, however it could be potentially offset by increase in Bitcoin price overtime. It would be interesting to see how things shape up in Bitcoin network in the long term and how miners adapt to the decreasing mining rewards. |

You are correct that the maximum limit of maximum Bitcoin is 21 Million, and miners won't be able to generate new Bitcoin, once this limit is reached, as well as they won't be receiving any block reward, but they will continue receiving fee for verifying the transactions even after all Bitcoins are mined. The limit of 21 Million is set in the code which can only be changed with a hard fork, which would require agreement of the community. The limited supply of 21 Million is the core strength of Bitcoin, and that is the reason it is considered anti-inflationary and hedge against fiat currencies. |

Exactly you are right that poverty is a complex issue. There are countries that has limited access to everything and the people living in their communities had lack of knowledge, some of them did not even experienced to go to school so how they can push their selves to become rich if they lacks everything? Poor communities needed proper knowledge guidance on how they can have a good life. Everyone wants to be rich is just that to become rich is not easy to do especially to the poor communities / people. We can educate them with those opportunities and help them to get out of poverty.
I strongly believe that real wealth of any country lies in its people, not necessarily in its natural resources, however it totally depends on political leadership, how wisely & effectively they utilize this potential for eradicating poverty from their society. China is a great example with highest population in the world, has successfully harnessed the power of its people to create a dynamic and thriving society. There is no straight forward answer to this question because poverty is a complex issue, and has many causes including lack of opportunities, limited access to education, health care and many mores. To some extent it is also true that some people don't make enough efforts to improve their life by increasing sources earnings, and such people often miss out good opportunities due to their comfort loving nature and poverty mindset, but it is not the case with every person. It is important to approach poverty with empathy and do whatever you can to eradicate poverty in our communities and society. |
