1441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 21-Oct-20] on: October 24, 2020, 03:43:50 PM
AMEPAY campaign payout has been received yesteday so it should be moved from PNYC to CFNP.
This campaign is on hold: funds for a 2nd week have not been confirmed yet

I haven't received the BTC from AMEPAY Team yet. So I can't guarantee 2nd week yet. You can remove your signature if you want. I will make the correct announcement within  tomorrow. Thank you for staying with Small Rabbit.

1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 24, 2020, 03:28:00 PM
Sergio Ramos just scored a penalty kick! Meh, Barcelona is unbelievable not in the mood this afternoon. Looking at the numbers it seems like it's a very balanced game (ball possession 50%, pass accuracy 89%, same amount of fouls) yet it is not!
I did a live bet at half time which I already won (next team to score RM Wink) I will finish to watch the game just for fun
1444  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 24, 2020, 07:48:17 AM
I criticised PayPal thingy a lot yet I have to recognise how this move will be shaking the financial world from their very foundations. I am actually so happy to hold even such a small stash during these days. It feels good to be part of something so revolutionary.

Above all, small fish should never look and reproduce the whales' strategy while gambling. There could be a million reason why whales are such high rollers and sometimes that can be washing not-so-clean money. This is an advice for regular players: don't go all in like they do. Have fun at your own pace.
1446  Other / Meta / Re: #meritislife: how to be notified on a smartband of merits and mentions on: October 24, 2020, 07:32:10 AM
Hey that's my name on your wrist band!  Grin  Grin Grin I did not know there could have been people so crazy about getting merits and other sort of things! If I understand that bot basically connects your band to all your bitcointalk activities and you get notified for everything you want to see in real time. That's wundebar  Cool

Yes, there is a merit related madness slowly spreading over the forum.
In addition to that, you must know that the thing also gives an haptic feedback when the notification fires.
So when you send a merit, I physically can feel a vibration on my body wrist...

My guess is that you receive too many haptic feedbacks during the day  Grin I wonder what people around you would think when your band start vibrating and you get excited  Grin Grin Grin
Jokes aside, was fun to see my name on the band on this thread. Go merit the world!
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paxos will be holding your PayPal's Bitcoin on: October 24, 2020, 07:28:06 AM
PayPal is starting its adventure in the bitcoin world with Paxos yet they are already exploring how to infiltrate the market. Have you read the following news? PayPal's move was not simple marketing buzz

We need to get past $13,800 to get to 20k with bullishness (stupid word that doesn't exist). After that we will be in uncharted territories which might need solid balls to handle

In the meanwhile, ccmf
1449  Economy / Services / Re: [AMEPAY] Signature Campaign | Full Member+ ⚡Paid in BTC on: October 23, 2020, 07:11:28 AM
Sr Members Payment Done (Here /Legendary) Payment will be done soon
Is there a specific reason why you are doing payments one by one? Why not doing them in batches?
You could have done only four big txs for every campaign tier (without bloating the network). Just sayin'
1450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 23, 2020, 06:59:19 AM
One of the issues with adoption of Bitcoin by centralized platforms, is that it can be dropped very easily should a government launch their CBDC, and users who only adopt Bitcoin when it is convenient would as easily switch to operating the blockchain fiat
If I read you correctly are you implying that once a central bank digital currency is going to be implemented that would be the end of bitcoin? What do you mean that (bitcoin) can be dropped very easily? No CBDC can replace the very characteristics which make bitcoin and its protocol special. CBDC will be an entry in a SQL database
1451  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: October 23, 2020, 06:49:58 AM
Whatever value one wishes to use as a comparison base these are huge bets even so if made with the magic Internet money Grin During the last bear market (2014/2015) I used to gamble more because I couldn't give my btc the real value I should have given to them. That's the biggest mistake I did. I mean is fun to play (using the golden rule Don't risk what you can't afford to lose) but we shouldn't try to create wealth by gambling.
1452  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Coinbase sponsors two Bitcoin developers! on: October 23, 2020, 06:40:13 AM
I don't like to get this into politics however ETFbitcoin correctly said this is happening because bitcoiners, especially old ones, are conservative which in my humble opinion is good: I believe if bitcoin is here since 2009 after all that happened is due to the fact that its revolutionary march has been tough, smart and... slow  Smiley Like water carving a rock.
We all know how money can be used to change the direction of things.  Wink
1453  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries on: October 22, 2020, 08:45:17 AM
Another corporation is doing the 'treasury' thing
https://twitter.com/adam3us/status/1318873763073708040

Mode Global Holdings PLC, a U.K-listed company, has announced it will place 10% of its cash reserves into bitcoin as part of its treasury investment strategy.

@fillippone, not sure if you have seen it on the WO but it might be added to the list. Just be careful as kurious gave a hint that being a CoinDesk story we do not yet know how much 10% of their treasury is worth, might be even £10.
Real question is, how many companies till end of year on your sheet?  Cool
1454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 22, 2020, 08:42:20 AM

that meme would make an awesome book cover. that thing is closer to reality than everything I posted this year.
this is our mission.
for every no-coiner you safe from the shitcoin devils there are 70 virgin bitcoins waiting for you in paradise.

@efialtis
Grin Sorry, my bad, I wanted to sound funny with my last comment: Blue Bird is Twitter of course, there's no such social network.
Closing with amenities, I will give you a more elaborate suggestion regarding a few add-ons here and there but they require time which I don't have now.  Wink
1456  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: October 22, 2020, 07:35:15 AM
This PayPal news is yet another attempt to leverage fractional reserve applied to Bitcoin. I will be eagerly waiting the day that all the people that will store bitcoin via PayPal will want to cash out when the price will skyrocket. That will be the day of PayPal collapse.
I leave them to that but I am sorry for new users that are about to be fooled if things remain like this.
1457  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Resilient Custody of Crypto-Assets, and Threshold Multisignatures on: October 22, 2020, 07:27:23 AM
So basically this company, Conio, has a multisig (3keys wallet) and they provide such service to a bank, Hype by Bank Sella? This is unbelievable! You are telling me that a bank in Italy allows people to buy bitcoin so easily! That's crazy

It may sound crazy, but it's reality Wink
You can do it directly with the Hype app, which is the leading challenger bank in Italy (1.3 Million users). It's been live in production since March through the integration with Conio, and it makes extremely easy to buy and sell (real) Bitcoin in Italy.

You may read it a bit more here, when we announced the launch:
https://decrypt.co/23034/italian-bank-releases-bitcoin-wallet-despite-coronavirus
Congratulations then! If I understand correctly one can keep a Conio wallet alone without having to be connected to the banking one. But if I want open it with Hype it's basically your wallet at the core. One thing, is your wallet for italians only or anyone can try it out?
It could be a good wallet for beginners who have a good protection in case of keys mismanagement.

Now tell me you disagree about having this as a start! Grin

Let me have this for a start.... In a completely empty COVID-mall
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Enjoy  Wink
1459  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Coinbase sponsors two Bitcoin developers! on: October 21, 2020, 07:39:44 AM
It's not the developers we should be suspicious of, but the source of the money.  Let's not turn it into a witch-hunt.

Too late, unless the one taking the money is Satoshi he will probably be impaled with a sha512 stake and burned in the fire of 100 antminers.

Besides all drama, all the motifs, all the schemes, all the conspiracies, I have a genuine question, which from my point of view is quite logical in this situation.
If a company, which is not one of the most influential even in its own country, can with a pathetic $100k or $200k sabotage or bend the bitcoin code to fit its own agenda, doesn't it mean the current system is way to fragile?
@Royse777 I understood what you were trying to say, but let's actually take it from those words, would you guys entrust the economy of the world, all your relative's savings and business to a code that can be easily modified by somebody who just throws 100, 200 hell even 500k at the right person? If this indeed happens, (which I find it pretty hard to believe) it simply means that we humans can destroy everything and turn everything good into shit, so what would be the point of defending something as vulnerable and easy to abuse as our current system is abused by banks and governments?

As I said about numerous projects in the past, if bitcoin can be brought down by such a tiny amount, then there are serious flaws with it.
If it can't, why even bother about what a company can do? I see it as either black or white at this point.

I am with you completely stompix. Now that I have read more about what's happening here I feel very much concerned. We shall not be naive as we all know that money can be used as a powerful leverage.
I will be long gone before I will read on Coinbase site the following motto:
Bitcoin development - proudly sponsored by Coinbase Embarrassed

Linux development story 2.0 in the making, if you know what I mean  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

You are late to the party: check some pages back and you will find what you are looking for. Have you read it that the site admin is missing for a long while or not? I think mods could finally lock this thread as this is now over.
