Chelsea fell by surprise at Stamford Bridge against West Bromwich and there could have been no better news for the pursuers, starting with West Ham. The Hammers, meanwhile, have been joined by Liverpool, but badly want the fourth position, the last one that would ensure participation in the next Champions League.
Wolves will probably be difficult to defeat but I expect the Hammers finding a way to win 1-0 because they need this victory too bad now.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risks of instituations holding bitcoin on: April 05, 2021, 10:16:05 AM
I came across this article about  instituations holding bitcoin what do you think, is it a risk what is your opinion ?
https://cryptonews.com/exclusives/institutions-retail-compete-for-bitcoin-which-is-the-biggest-9695.htm

One of the biggest risks that I see for institutions is that they may suffer a Ransonware attack, if this happens it would cause an unreal massive dump, it could radically lower the price, most companies do not take computer security into account, if they use a Ledger is likely to have some security but there are many vulnerabilities, perhaps it is a minimal possibility that happens but you have to consider it, don't you think?
This made me laugh as you obviously have no idea of how custody in the institutional world works. Do you really think they have online exposure of wallets that makes them a potential ransomware aim? Ledger? Only one?
Jeez, man. You have no idea what these guys have put in place.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum VS Bitcoin Fork on: April 05, 2021, 10:08:43 AM
the ETH rollback was highly contentious and proved that the ETH devs can make arbitrary changes despite the legitimate dispute of a significant portion of their userbase.
Without going too much off topic, I would be interested in reading more about the bolded part of your reply. Are there trustworthy sources that have calculated what percentage of users were for and how many were against the rollback? I would also like to see the official excuses the developers used to move ahead with the fork/rollback.
Why do you need percentages for?
Immutability is one of the basic principles of the blockchain technology and without it the cryptocurrencies can not exist. Immutability simply means when a valid block is found (ie. when a valid transaction is considered confirmed) the ledger aka the blockchain must not change otherwise the cryptocurrency becomes useless and they cease to exist.
The only reason why ETH remained alive was because of the millions of dollars they spent keeping it alive and the fact that it became profitable to keep it alive (for ICO scammers).
Ethereum was lucky enough to have been hit bad by the DAO failure in 2016. If that'd happened today, bye bye Ethereum as I'm sure better protocols would have already surpassed it.
Eth ticks all the boxes of a scam: ICO premined coins, rollbacks, no transacting stability yet is still there as the second largest blockchain. Mind-blowing for me.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 05, 2021, 10:00:28 AM
And troubles go on at Juventus.
Bianconeri are ruling out a permanent transfer for Alvaro Morata as Cristiano Ronaldo's £900k-a-week wages makes the deal fall through.
Running out of money? The Italian giants cannot afford to sign the Atlético Madrid striker because of Cristiano Ronaldo's huge contract.
Ronaldo's taking the team hostage.

666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 04, 2021, 04:15:14 PM
They save Pirlo ? I don't think Pirlo can be saved anymore because he lost the UCL , now he lost the title and he also lost the CUP so what is Juventus fighting for this year ? Nothing. They should replace Pirlo as soon as possible and then look to make some actual transfers and maybe sell Ronaldo because I doubt he will have the same hunger for UCL next year playing for Juventus.

I don't know if they save Pirlo, the plan of Juventus was to take Guardiola 2 years ago and they got the deal otherwise they never sacked Allegri and waited 2 months to got Sarri.
The path was clear back then.

Juventus will be ridiculed and downsized in its dreams of glory and, indeed, it may be the right occasion for the management, the players and the fans to come down from their pedestal.
Take Inter for example, which started the season quietly, criticized from many sides, today it leads Serie A and risks winning  Scudetto.
Conte has done a suberb job, IMO.

The mere fact that it was possible (i.e. that kind of fork/rollback) should be disconcerting, don't you think? Personally, that original sin is irremediable, we know that ETH will always be blackmailable in the future and with recent announcements (see Visa, USDC) ETH will become more and more enterprise oriented.
Anyway, in the article below maybe there is something about what you're looking for.

as long as they keep those BTC out of the market I don't care.
A noteworthy demand shock is being created, as both small holders and large holders are respectively increasing their positions and this shortage of BTC in the market contributes to the fact that the price can't go much lower. On the contrary, the upward pressure is increasing.
Let the institutional players get in then, what's the matter?
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 04, 2021, 03:56:01 PM
Astonishing by Liverpool! Watching them playing and winning against Arsenal one could argue how 's even possible to be so down in the standings. Chelsea needs to push hard on the throttle or they're gonna lose the last available spot for Champions League.
Guardiola's City, instead, keeps playing like if they came from another planet, amazing.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 04, 2021, 03:51:47 PM
As Real Madrid won their game against Eibar with a 2-0 score, they are only 3 points behind Atletico now. Barcelona are going to play their game against Valladolid tomorrow but they will most probably win also. So, Atletico will be under a big pressure of these two teams before their game. But they aren't a team that can't handle this pressure. I feel like they will manage to beat Sevilla with a 1 goal difference.
This is, by far, the most important time for Real and Zidane's season. There are both chances of winning the league now (40%) and winning Champions League (30%). Considering how their season started Madrid can be quite content with it's been achieved up to now. Do you think Madrid can win the league?

Oh no!
Jameson just ruined my favourite activity during the day:

I consider my time spent checking the price, even more when I do here on the WO, amongst the best time spent!

In my case it's not me checking the price, it's bitcoin checking on me because she cares.
It's completely different.

Btw, not affected by Suckerberg leak: no fakebook, nor instazham here.

673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick thought on how to help/save bitcoin. on: April 03, 2021, 03:22:41 PM
Just a thought, We have all witnessed how just a tweet from a top individual in society can influence the price of bitcoin. We have also seen many people tweet about something so much, it becomes a trend and something popular that almost everyone hears about. This has got me thinking; if we all collectively pick a day or a period of time and all agree to tweet, post and create a trend about bitcoin that will last a while on twitter or any other social media platform, will this help the current price of bitcoin get to a higher ATH?

What made a difference if you refer to Elon's tweets is that actually went on to do what he wrote. He said he was going to buy bitcoin and he did, he said he was going to allow Tesla's customers to but Teslas with bitcoin and he delivered.
There's a huge difference in talking and doing, do you know what I mean?
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 03, 2021, 03:18:56 PM
For Zidane there's only one possible outcome to be happy this afternoon and that outcome is Real to win against Eibar. Real is playing well, huge ball possession and lots of clear occasions to score at least three goals. I don't think Eibar will be much of a problem.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 03, 2021, 03:15:30 PM
There’s been a huge fight between Spezia and Lazio, I didn’t quit understand what happened but the players start to punch and kick themselves! What a restart for Serie A today, lots of goals and lots of  wrestling! So much fun!
And now waiting for the Turin derby between Juventus and Turin.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 03, 2021, 02:58:59 PM
Leverkusen's leading the game against Schalke by one goal only, the Gelsenkirchen boys are doing almost nothing to avoid defeat. Watching the game live I can say that any other team could have been much more difficult for Bayer but not this Schalke.
These players are like ghosts on the pitch  Roll Eyes
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC was a lifetime chance and I don't think we will see a similar opportunity on: April 02, 2021, 12:43:47 PM
I don't imagine anything else that you'll be able to get for free or pennies and then value million times more. I just can't. No lottery will ever give you that. I admire the early adopters and wish I've been one of them, unfortunately no "friend" told me about it and I only joined in 2013 when I've found about it alone, still not bad but could have been better.
I see what you mean, I can only suggest you'd content with what you have. If it helps, don't think all the early adopters have kept their hodling consistent throughout the years.
Holding and managing bitcoin has probably been on of the hardest thing in my life. I'm grateful I've built a good position myself but it's been hard to keep up with all that it requires.
Being #stronghands is no easy task.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 02, 2021, 12:38:48 PM
I agree, Schalke 04 is on the verge of leaving Bundesliga for good this season. As you can clearly see even a blazoned team like that of Gelsenkirchen can suffer a huge humiliation like the one the are force to witness this year. Schalke are tearing themselves apart.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beware of the Frauds , how pandemic is affecting gambling negatively on: April 02, 2021, 12:32:38 PM
Full of frauds and scams around. After the pandemic those who were hit bad by the it are risking their savings hoping to re-gain the amount of money they lost due to unemployment and such. A friend of mine, lost around 0.25 in a scam lately (it was a doubling site that' is now offline.)
These are tough times for good people who will be targeted by these scammers knowing that now it's the moment in which they are more fragile.
The vigilance level should be pushed to the highest level during this time because the economic situation of the regions of the world is not so good, many businesses go bankrupt and are delayed in paying their employees, economic deprivation forces many to step into dangerous paths in gambling, unfortunately, many gambling and profitable websites use this mentality to trap many people. Some websites are also very reputable but in general, these businesses and organizations will not give us a chance to beat them, the only way is to invest and trade.
When people find themselves in emergency states their vigilance level, as you call it, is usually very low because others aspects become more important. I don't think we've witnessed the full economic devastation of covid yet, and I'm afraid of what is gonna happen next.
Rich getting richer and poor getting poorer always create an enormous tension..
