1441  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 01, 2023, 10:51:06 AM
Ok, so from what I have read so far :

YGGDRASIL had some issues with games "freezing" when large wins are hit.  Roll Eyes I do not know if this was a regular occurrence or if it was something that happens now and again.  Roll Eyes

It also might have been that the 3rd party Slot provider had some unfair requirements and that the casino mentioned did not want to adhere to it. So there are always two sides to a story... right?
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: low-cost hardware wallet for less than 10 dollars on: May 01, 2023, 10:08:19 AM
Why go through all the trouble to buy something that are not tested and virtually unknown to the market, if you can buy a wallet that has been bought by up to 2 million people for $59? ==> Ledger Nano S

I played around with these DIY wallets and it was a bloody nightmare to set it up and I never had the courage to store a lot of coins on it. You know how it works... store $100 worth of coin on it and it will be safe, but the moment when you send $1000 worth of coins to it... it is gone!  Roll Eyes
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Someone at FIFA/UEFA should do something about the referees on: April 30, 2023, 06:53:32 PM
In my opinion UEFA/FIFA are just as corrupt as the referees.  Roll Eyes Just look what happened with the opening match of the Soccer World cup... (bribes)... was any of that investigated ... or did they ignore that and just continue with the game.  Shocked

What was FIFA biggest scandal?
The 2015 centre on the alleged use of bribery, fraud and money laundering to corrupt the issuing of media and marketing rights for FIFA games in the Americas, estimated at $150 million, including at least $110 million in bribes related to the Copa América Centenario to be hosted in 2016 in the United States. 1444  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: April 30, 2023, 06:45:53 PM
It would be nice if some industry expert or casino operator can come into this thread and clear up some of the questions. We know the iGaming licenses like Curaçao regulate the gambling requirements for their license, but do they regulate the game providers?

I know Hacksaw gaming is authorized by the Gambling Supervisory Commission of the Isle of Man as a Software Supply Licensee, so there are some kind of oversight.... but to what degree are they testing the RTP and the software?

1445  Economy / Gambling / Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: April 30, 2023, 05:10:19 PM
We are seeing more and more 3rd party Slot providers being dropped by casinos over some sort of irregularities.. Stake.com removed all YGGDRASIL games and I also think iSoftbet games from their platform. So when Eddie (co-owner) was asked about this, he just commented that there were some irregularities.. so they removed it.

Try to Google anything about that and you will not find anything, because the industry keep their secrets. My question is.... can we trust these 3rd party Slot providers? Who are auditing their games and who are checking if the advertised RTP are being configured on their servers?

Let's discuss....  Huh
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: April 30, 2023, 04:59:15 PM
I hope it's some decentralized token and not a centralized token that are being controlled by China, because we all know the Chinese government wants to have control over everything their citizens are doing.  Roll Eyes

There has already been some huge moves to shift away from the US Dollar, but it can explode in their face.. if the US and Europe market turn against them. We also know most African countries and other third world countries are deep in debt with the US and Europe, so that might also be a problem in the future.  Roll Eyes
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin continue to safe life in the face of financial crisis on: April 30, 2023, 04:53:46 PM
Well, the nice thing about Bitcoin is the fact that you can walk around with a small piece of paper and it can contain a Bitcoin address & Private key and you can take all your money with you. You can hide that anywhere and nobody will suspect a thing...

You can also keep this in cloud servers online (obviously swapping some numbers and letters that only you know) and your wealth can be safe, when you access it on the other side.  Wink
1448  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: April 29, 2023, 11:44:25 AM
I think the problems with the shortage of sunflower oil and also fertilizer has been stabilized. The higher prices have sparked other countries to produce more and some that did not produce it.. has shifted their focus to do it.

Yes, the war between the Ukrainians and the Russians has shocked the agricultural world, but it has also diversified the production of certain products that were centralized there.

I do not think everything is back to normal, but it is way better than what it was a year or two ago...  Roll Eyes
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 103: More In-Depth about Return To Player (RTP) (With Poll) on: April 29, 2023, 11:25:09 AM
The problem with any RTP that are provided by the casinos are the validity of the RTP. We all know that it takes a million+ bets to determine the actual RTP, but some casinos have original games and they can quickly alter the RTP during the day. (How long does it take to make 1 000 000 bets to test it and what will the outcome be, if they changed it 5 times a day?)

Yes, it is not easy for the casinos to get the 3rd party Slot providers to change the RTP for them, but some providers give several options for the casinos to choose from..... and I believe they do ask for changes over time.
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 29, 2023, 11:11:58 AM
I’ve (@NastyMining) started following the Stake account on Twitter and I have been quite amused by the massive wins I’ve seen on there. I knew people were playing with high stakes but seeing people win jackpots in the millions is mind blowing. The people that win never even seem all that shocked with their life changing wins. It’s pretty interesting to see.

I think it is as Syztmz said before, you keep on losing so much over time ...and when you eventually win, it is as if it is a anti-climax to your daily routine. Just imagine losing $100k over a long period and then suddenly winning $60k.... you feel relieved and happy, but you know that the win is not making up for all your loses over time.

A lot of the paid streamers shows very little reaction when they win, because they know it is not their money. (It might not be the case with those people, but it is worth mentioning)
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What things do you study while choosing a wallet? on: April 29, 2023, 10:56:10 AM
You actually have to look at your use case for the wallet to guide you in your decision :

1. If you are going to use it every day, then a online wallet would be the best wallet... something you can access via your mobile phone.
2. If you looking for a long-term storage wallet.. I would go for a hardware wallet or even a Paper wallet (air-gapped)
3. If you want to do both... a desktop wallet is good enough. (Electrum wallet)

Just choose the most secure wallet, if you are going to store a lot of coins (hardware wallet) ...because they need the physical device or the Seed phrases to get to the coins.
1452  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Airbnb Crypto Project - Concept notice on: April 28, 2023, 06:18:48 AM
Your initial target market will be people who wants to be off the radar with their rentals. This can be for several reasons, but I can explain one of them. In my country.. local municipalities upgrade your property tax status from "public" to "business" use, when they find out that you are renting your property.

So these people will want to use a less mainstream method to advertise their property and also to "hide" their money paper trail, because they track the money through the Banks. It is unethical and wrong to do this, but some people want to fund expansion of the property in the beginning and the higher tax kill their profits.  Roll Eyes

I understand the interest, but I do not want to create a platform that puts the people who use it in an illegal situation. The interest is to use this cryptocurrency to rent housing. After if the user during the declaration to the taxes lies it will be entirely of that fault ...

Unfortunately, most technologies was developed for legal uses and the people using it then exploited this platform for illegal use. Take the Internet for example..... the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) initiated a research program to investigate techniques and technologies for interlinking packet networks of various kinds. So the military wanted to communicate over different technologies.... and that paved the way for the Internet. (Criminals quickly saw the potential of this technology and today it is used for both legal and illegal activities)  Roll Eyes

You will have to accept that your project might also be exploited for illegal activities and that you have to distance your goal from the activities of these criminals.  Wink  (Put a disclaimer in your ToS)
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: April 28, 2023, 06:03:34 AM
Well, I been reading you too.

You also have some myth about the casino and other ~XD I think what you wrote in here are different with some conversation in the casino thread Grin even you tell us the result has been decided, still playing and feel like a myth psych casino.

People are always believe in myth, that's just one of our psychology. Even my self sometimes belive it.

There is a difference between betting behavior and the psychology behind it and how operators manipulate the RTP of the casino. My observations about the casino that you mentioned are based on several people's experience and not just on my own opinion.

I form part of a gambling WhatsApp group that are constantly exchanging information on their gambling experience to find a "sweet spot" for times when a casino RTP are most favorable to wager or to simply play with the best outcome.

Example : We play at different times, but when someone is having a good betting experience.. he or she will share it via WhatsApp and the others will join... to test if this is just a favorable seed or if the RTP has been altered. (We had some success with this, so it's based on actual experience)  Wink
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 28, 2023, 05:48:18 AM
The best thing to do is to simply watch the Sport, because the commentators are very knowledgeable about the Sport that they are commenting on, so they will give valuable information on the competitors and also on math ups in the future.  Wink

I also use Yahoo sports and also "Google" for the stats on every fighter. You really took a very volatile and risky Sport, because one lucky punch or kick can turn the whole fight, so it is more risky than other Sports that you might be used to.  Tongue
1455  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina's Central Bank running out of dollars as inflation hits 100% on: April 28, 2023, 05:40:43 AM
Bitcoin cannot provide water for their crops to grow, so NO....it cannot help with that. It can also not force politicians to change their mind to replace their reserve currency to Bitcoin... that has to come from the voters.

The citizens of a country have their voting power to bring change and most of them do not even go to the voting stations when it is time for them to vote. They should vote for a government that will bring change.... a government that will embrace Bitcoin.  Wink
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What went wrong with bitcoin! Reply on: April 28, 2023, 05:29:29 AM
People like to shift blame for everything that goes wrong in their life. They do not want to take the responsibility for mistakes that they have made ...so that is the reason why you have to distance yourself from the decision making process from the start.

I always talk about Bitcoin and people tend to listen, but I never force "Bitcoin" down their throats, because I know from experience that they will blame "losses" on me, when they sell early.

So, next time.... tell the people that you only told them about the technology... and you never forced them to buy it. They make all the decisions to buy and to sell.... not you.  Roll Eyes
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / The psychology of betting..... on: April 27, 2023, 11:10:48 AM
As humans, we are conditioned to look for patterns in life and we gamblers try to make predictions based on what we see, while we are gambling. The reality is that these patterns does not exist, but we like to pretend that they do because it helps us to bring order to the chaos that are gambling.  Roll Eyes

Some people seem to think that your bet size will increase your chances to win, but that is simply a myth. The reality is that it simply means your payouts will be bigger when you do win.

A lot of my friends believe that it is better to spin the Slots manually, because "Auto spin" are rigged by the casinos... but that is also a myth. A lot of things come into play when a bet is made and it has nothing to do with the "auto bet" feature. (Client Seed / Server Seed & RNG and RTP ...)

Have you pressed the "bet" button, before the reels have stopped.. thinking that it will give you a favorable outcome on your bet? Well, I have news for you... the outcome has been decided in milliseconds after you pressed the button for the bet, the GUI interface happens long after that to display the outcome of the bet to you.  Grin (Go into the developer mode of your browser to see this)

What patterns do you see and how much do you believe in it?
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: April 27, 2023, 10:27:54 AM
I do not want to sound mean, but your friend sounds like a fool. It has been proven over and over again that gambling are not profitable in the long-run. Yes, some people are lucky to win something BIG in the early days, but most of them continue playing and then they lose everything.

This is why they say, "The house always wins" .... people win and continue playing and the RTP kick in and the house takes it back. I do not want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I think some casinos have methods to provide you with a good "seed" in the early days... and once they reeled you into gambling, they then swap that seed for a seed that makes you lose more often.  Roll Eyes
1459  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: April 27, 2023, 10:15:07 AM
Well, sites like Rollbit and Duelbits are very good, but nobody mentioned freebitco.in (one of the oldest Crypto casinos) ..... yes it might not have so much original games as the rest, but it is almost 100% pseudo anonymous and fun to use.

I will not even mention some of the newer sites, because a lot of them looks like scam sites. Why are you so interested in the original games, because most of them are just old games with a change in the GUI... example : Crash ..... with a jet or a little racing car.. etc.  Roll Eyes
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 10:06:11 AM
Bitcoin's enemies will target any controversial link between Bitcoin and any activity that might be linked to crime. They know that not all gambling operations are bad actors, but the concentrate on the ones that are, because it suits their agenda.

The same goes for "Mixer" services.... not everyone that use mixer services ..are criminals. I use mixer services to break the link between my main hoard of bitcoins and the other wallets that I use to protect myself.... not for criminal reasons.  Roll Eyes
