Strong recommendation to Roger Ver to work on his high level of aggressiveness. LOL

It is a bit difficult to learn very much from this interview between Roger and Miss Bitcoin Japan, because they mostly speak in conclusions. It does seem that she has become very skeptical of roger and his motives, even though she has known him for 5 years - but surely she has difficulties expressing herself in English, but also she seem to be somewhat lacking in some understanding of various nuanced arguments in order to really present them to Roger -

I did notice one outline of a plan regarding bitcoin cash... and it seems that if they fork, they are wanting to use the fork as some kind of leverage to attempt to force bitcoin to hardfok scale up to 2mb in November - or otherwise to ramp up the competition at that point by directing all mining power to Bitcoin cash and attempt to get various other economic nodes to follow them in order to attempt to increase bitcoin cash liquidity and utility at that time in order to attempt to become a viable bitcoin competitor - also suggesting that there is going to be an ongoing incentive to continue to mine bitcoin cash throughout this time because if the difficulty level of bitcoin cash is lower, then it may well be equally profitable to mine some bitcoin cash (assuming that bitcoin cash is able to retain some market value with the passage of time)

In my view 2mb would be borderline acceptable. But if it would be more, people would just move to another coin that would be more similar to the old version of what they had. Smiley  (I know I would)

When exactly is the chain split? Do I need to transfer coins today or can I do tomorrow?

Are you a troll?? Smiley

What??
I said you have an opinion and you are assertive about it, but you don't understand how central banking works or economics in general.

I am glad that all banksters that believe in their centralized bullsh!t will be crushed under their corrupt habits trying to maintain the status quo way of living! When they will try to print more money to survive but the people will not be happy when they will print more! Smiley

I have withdrawn half my coins from polo, but since verification tier 2 takes forever, I couldn't take everything before the fork.

I figured I will stop lending and sit on the BTC to get the BCC, but seeing the high rates I couldn't resist. I might be wrong and be a loser in the end, still with half my coins on cold storage I won't lose everything. If BCC somehow replaces BTC I will probably get out of crypto anyway.

There will be other cryptos to take its place! Smiley ... I'm prospecting to diversify. Tongue

I now have several BTC loaned on Poloniex at between 4 and 4.9999% daily rate.

5% being the max allowed.

Point is, i've been waiting for fiat to blow since people starting saying this on the internet about 15 years ago. It's coming.... It's coming....

It's really coming and it ain't be fun. US desperately need another WW.

There is no fucking scenario on this planet in which metals don't skyrocket because they are the Schelling point when debt based currencies blow up.  You can live in some alternate dimension pontificating on some random bullshit Nick Szabo said, but none of that changes this objective reality that will occur.  Stocks are also garbage in this paradigm because they're mostly based around infinite consumer growth as well, but the govt may or may not manipulate that market to whatever number they choose before it all blows up.

Point is, i've been waiting for fiat to blow since people starting saying this on the internet about 15 years ago. It's coming.... It's coming.... but it hasn't come yet.

If it doesn't come in my life time, frankly I couldn't give a shit, and my kids can deal with it Smiley

So, Roach if you are so sure its going to happen, please give me some numbers, how likely a 'currency blow up' is, in 1, 2,  5, 10, 20 years. Put your money where your mouth, and make it quantifiable, or are you content with it's coming, but have no idea when?

If the big crash happens this year... then the people will come to realization at least with a 6 month delay. So basically he will have to wait another year or so until his payday arrives. Smiley
And even then.. bitcoin will be 4-5x more than now in the next 12 months. And until his silver reaches 400-500$ per ounce, bitcoin will enter into its next phase on the path to 40k.  Grin  Grin

This should cheer you all up, some quality Game Theory Analysis of Bitcoin Cash.

https://medium.com/@rextar4444/the-myth-of-bitcoin-cash-understanding-game-theory-f87858bf8791

TLDR: There is no economic viability to bitcoin cash. There is no founded argument for its valuation. The exchanges and companies that support it are insecure and nefarious.

and a coin with 1mb blocks forever has economic viability?

Things need to evolve with real life technology. Not with forced manipulation of the system. Because you need to respect the rules of Nature and its nature of self regulating! Smiley

If higher fees are needed, I'm good with that! It will encourage the smaller node people to invest more in hardware and spread as a business model. Also it will evolve naturally to bigger blocks as the price rises too much and the use of the coin is too extensive! Smiley  (edit: because they don't want people to migrate to other coins )

You will be crushed worse than r0achés avatar bug! Cheesy Cheesy

Some of you people here are really clueless.. Smiley   .. I mean, go watch what is happening on the other side of the pond as well. For example food prices are rising, political uncertainty in so many countries, also with all that numerology and nonsense, this is the year when the big crashes are supposed to happen. And don't forget to take into consideration the black swan factor: "the millennials". They will be the biggest betrayers the history of humanity will ever see. They will not fight the wars of anyone, they will not submit to any financial system that is not controlled by them, they will not submit to debt, and they will certainly refuse the land taxation system that is in place for hundreds of years. Everything will crumble into ashes and dust. This is the year of the "fire chicken" in the china calendar thingy, that could be called also the "phoenix". Everything will be burnt down to the ground and something new will rise! Cheesy Cheesy

So stop being delusional. Watch the markets and how the money flows. I haven't seen so many mergers of huge corporations, ever!!! They are preparing for a hard landing, or a crumbling crash!  Cool

I keep wondering the same thing.. When are they gonna come and buy some?? Because when they do everything will go apesh!t.. with blood and paper money flying on the walls. The exchanges will go absolutely bonkers! Vertical will be the way! Trying to flush out coins from all corners of the world with a higher, higher and higher price for each coin from those that hodl so they can regain control of the manipulation. Smiley

big money does not get big by going on an exchange and buying everything with two hands.

it buys otc, but only after crashing the market to the best of its ability.

This. This is how it works.

The most bullish scenario I can imagine right now has nothing to do with SegWit, or aversion of a hard fork, or any of that crap. None of that is even remotely interesting.

The bullish scenario has to do with the CFTC approval of bitcoin option swaps through LedgerX. That's supposedly coming online in Sept/Oct. timeframe. With that we could see some large hedge fund money move in, but not before they first short the market into the absolute ground to shake out weak hands.

If Sept/Oct passes with no new money coming in, or even after the first of the year in 2018, then I don't see anything else as bullish on the horizon right now.

I'm telling you that no one will give a sh!t about CFTC or from the mouths of the people from the future "what is an CFTC??" ... Because one reason. Have you heard about the "Satellite Blockchain Corporations" project?? Cheesy Cheesy

OTC transactions are 10% - 20% more expensive than the exchange ones! And also... I think they would create their own exchanges, that are in their own will of command! Smiley

So how you guys liking that back-and-forth wash trading?

Feels just like a groundswell of overwhelming public demand, doesn't it?  At this rate we'll be over $5K in no time!  /s

$5K is a done deal. Interesting question is if we go over $10K by the end of this year?

So sure are we? Hope that you are right, but I'm curious what you are attributing that to.

I'm not sure that Average Joe, after reading the headlines about BTC-e's demise and that bitcoin is used by criminals, will be falling all over himself to buy ANY bitcoin right now. Especially when he has absolutely no fkn clue what either SegWit or SegWit2X are, nor does he care.

Big money is just waiting the 'correct' time to enter Bitcoin. They are losing patience and starting to panic why market isn't dumping in light of HF fud, 1stAug, chain split, SEC ruling on ICOs, BCC, and btc-e news. A lot of people that shorted Bitcoin are now biting their nails.

average joe will not drive the price up until many more years have passed. no one cares what average joe thinks for now.

So nefarious market manipulators and shady Chinese miners are the only ones that matter for now. Actual users don't matter.

Got it.

The actually small time users have a role to play as well. Because they eat from the profits of the big guys! Smiley

If you stay and think about it, in a normal market rigging scenario, the big guys win, win and win with every rally. Ok?? Smiley ... So basically when they pump but still get less and even less. Those 1-2% losses are still loses and "the little fish" are eating from their "kahuna" profits. Smiley

Guys may i ask something..

Are my bitcoins save at kraken?
Ore better to send hardware wallet?

I need to know...

I suggest you take your coins out of the exchange on your own wallet... but keep it on multiple things, in multiple places and not connected to the internet. (a.k.a. "cold storage" )

From what I see there is a battle against exchanges and the goal is the confiscation of bitcoin by governments. Then they auction the coins and make a quick buck! Hence reducing their state / local deficit in their budgets. Cheesy  Cheesy    #EconomicGrowth   Cheesy  Cheesy

Cost of production to mine anything in space will be astronomical so you're wasting my time even mentioning it.  You might as well claim we will mine gold inside a black hole or alternate dimension. We would probably attempt to mine metals 2 miles under the ocean long before space but that is of course no threat to anyone buying at current prices.
http://www.planetaryresources.com/
http://deepspaceindustries.com/

Cost to start mining will be astronomical but so will be the quantities mined. Asteroid mining is not that far away in time. Privatization of space industry is bringing down costs. You don't really know whether the costs will be so high that the market won't be flooded enough to keep the price of precious metals down.
That's a futuristic concept art, you don't need that kind of structure to start mining an asteroid, and it's not a Dyson sphere. You don't have to maneuver kilometer long asteroids, small ones will do, there are ones passing close by Earth, you don't have to go to the other side of the Sun or something.

It will probably be a couple decades but you shouldn't be so dismissive of it, especially if you're betting all on precious metals

You know what youre talking about, unlike ROach who loves mixing things together with irrational explanations..which make me convinced that his longterm gold plan will be ruined if he wont listen. Thats not my problem i just gave him a good tip. I'm baffled about the Dyson spheres those belong to type 2+ civilizations while we Earthlings sticking to type 0.

Same story when i explained 3d printer to my friends years ago, they thought i was crazy. There was no such thing as ''printing'' a house out of a 3d printer, they know better now. Even NASA is using a 3d printer to print food for there mission to Mars. Within 10 years everybody will have one so people can download ore disign there own furniture. possibilities are end-less.

Idem dito with Bitcoin. Those people who called me a fool are now respecting me because they know i'm starting to get rich. (Profits are nice but thats not my main goal, financial freedom is more important to me)

I love longterm exotic technology, my calls are always on spot.

Currently i'm reading a lot about nano technology and human DNA, in particular DNA manipulation.

Then you should be more careful of what you introduce in your mouth and eat it.
