Aurel, please notice I've just updated my post.  Smiley
That makes sense but the pool found a block (#316177) about 6 1/2 hours ago so it seems our payout after that should have went back to normal instead of dropping if what your thinking is true?
1462  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 18, 2014, 09:35:13 AM
Payouts became smaller? Well maybe just me. Last night about 12 hrs ago payouts were better than now. Will continue to monitor.
no my payouts  also have taken a large drop from yesterday. As roncutt asked I have also been trying to figure out if the PPS value has changed? Maybe the PPS value erodes down as it get closer to the next difficulty change? Wondering how accurate the dashboard is on the payout that is shown is then?

The Unpaid Shares field at the dashboard keeps going down as submitted shares increase, but there is no corresponding payout for that difference at My Account:Credit.
If no credit is shown, the unpaid shares should keep growing up until a payout is made.
I'm telling this just to point out where the problem could be, although we're just looking at the surface of the calculations.
Thats interesting as I guess I have not watched it close enough to notice that.
1463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] Undervolt antminer s1 [1.19W/GH at the wall] on: August 18, 2014, 09:06:40 AM
I'd like to minimize W/GH.

So far I've only tried OP's recommendation. My miners ended up at 185W @ 140 GH = 1.3 W/GH.

Has anyone underclocked even more, and what W/GH do you reach?

EDIT : See OP. He uses 0.85V but shows that 0,75V should be even more efficient. For 0.85V the resistance shall be between ~2.8kOhms and ~3kOhms. We should find out what Ohm that suits the 0.75V setting
I have 9 penciled mod down and was thinking of trying to go lower in a couple of weeks. Let me know how it works for you.

Hi All,

I want you all to know that I am grateful for having won these two AntMiner S3s. s0br is a very generous person, but even without the prizes, I'd still be here on this pool.

That being said, I hope that I win the other thirteen AntMiners being given away, but I'm not holding my breath.  Cheesy Haha!!!
Well I hope you choke on them miners!! LOL JK... Congrats on winning 2!!  Very cool and maybe your hash rate will level out some now!
1466  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 17, 2014, 11:01:36 PM
Has anyone else noticed s0br renting like every rig available on all the rental sites? Just kind of curious about this. I mean I've rented to test new pools but if you look out there, he's got rentals on BetaRigs, LeaseRig, MiningRigRentals... Is there a reason the pool op needs to rent every spare piece of power available?

I too am grateful for this pool and for being an S3 winner, but this seems really odd to me.
He has made it know that he does mine on the pool so I can only guess then he may very well be the anonymous in the top position. But he may want to stress the pool with the high hash rate to see how it preforms and he can throttle back if need be to make adjustments? I believe he is using some of the coin found with his miners to pay the Bonus with also.

I am curious just how much does it cost to rent mining rigs for?
1467  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 17, 2014, 10:08:22 PM
Pool stats and payout seem to be acting up? Dashboard shows no hashes but miners all sending to pool. Last payout was 1/2 of normal.
1468  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 17, 2014, 05:33:36 PM
How are people notified if they have won one of the S3's ?
My friend that won 2 so far was notified by email. But all the winners so far are listed on first page and I am sure it will be updated soon.
So people can win more than once ?

Also, how does the randomness of choosing a person work. Just doesn't seem so random if this friend has won twice already.
I can't tell you how random but he was the first winner and the pool was very small. I should have listen to him and came earlier. He won again on the 6th but can tell you he has no affiliation to the pool. He should get the miners this coming week. The OP stated that winners will have their name placed back into the next day drawing. Even if I don't win one I am getting more for my hashing than I was getting at GHash pool.

s0br I have a couple of questions.

1: On the dashboard what are the unpaid shares that show?

2: Are you still tweeting the PPS value? I have not written it down the last few days but do notice my payout has dropped some slightly.

3: I also noticed a couple of payouts yesterday were about a 1/3 of normal, any idea what that is caused by?

4: At the next difficultly change will the PPS value just drop by the same percentage that difficultly goes up?

Thanks

I've PM'd "adarian" about this yesterday and the day before, guess he's a spokesman for BitAffNet. I just wanted to know if the payouts were fixed yet, I've had the same problem w/ incorrect and just plain missing payouts. No response, so I'll ask here? Are the payouts fixed? What about the 12.5% bonus, is it now included in the payouts?

The payouts have been fine, if you look at the day numbers, and other pools with a PPS system these numbers where higher than the others. IMO they just tweaked them down a small amount to bring them in line with normalized payouts. You see the 12.5% bonus in the bonus tab, the credit tab is your raw mining gains I believe.
This is why I always stayed clear of PPS pools in the past. I didn't like the payouts and rather take my chance with luck of hitting blocks on a good ran pool.
1471  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 17, 2014, 05:12:43 PM
Caveat prior to "General Announcement" - My information is from direct contact with s0br, but may not be 100% accurate.  s0br has exact information, so if there is something I post that is incorrect, invalid or misconstrued, the blame is on me, not s0br.

General Announcement:

So the reason payouts has been weird the past few days is due to the fact that the way payments have been processed have gone from an internal proprietary payment system to Blockchain.info's API, which is why as of late payments are on the hour, every hour (or within 2-3 minutes)

At some point in the near future any back logged shares that haven't been paid out will be.  s0br is considering regular payouts at this point to be more of a priority than the few that have back-logged unpaid shares.  It's not that he isn't trying, he's simply got a lot on his plate and is trying to make things right.   Once he has completed that, he will then go through the back-logged shares that need to be paid and do a manual payout for those past-due shares.

That's all the information I have at this point, any questions, ask and I'll do what I can to answer them.

Thanks,
Adaryian

Thank you. In no way was I complaining just looking to understand a few things. I know he has been working on the pool non stop and like what I have seen so far.
1472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 17, 2014, 12:26:00 PM
I do wish the BITMAIN would publish the device driver details so that a current version of cgminer could be attained. I know at least 2 releases in 4 had notes about queue improvements and one at least specifically stated it generated work much faster. Also one of the last 3's had an improvement about how work was loaded into devices. I know for sure 3.12 is very old and I am positive that many work generation improvements have been added since then.

Exactly. I don't understand why they don't work more closely with the cgminer devs - using such an old miner for this equipment is false economy. There have been many improvements & optimixations since this cgminer release, not to mention a very important fix for work redirection by a third party.
Can we just SSH in to it and compile CGMiner to a newer version ?
One would assume that we have access to their modified code and driver for cgminer which the cgminer license stipulates, however they have ignored our requests for making that code available. I am considering what direction to take now about that license violation.

Indeed, I saw your post requesting access to the code - ignoring it seems a very strange course of action by Bitmain, especially since agreeing & cooperating would not only benefit everyone - but would also stay within the legally binding license terms.......

I hope they realize their error & do the right thing - as well as live up to their claim of supporting the Bitcoin community.

@ckolivas: Is there anything we, the community, can do to help? Maybe if we all started mailing them they will take notice?
I for one am not buying any more equipment from Bitmain until this is taken care of. I often wondered what if a person could skim off a very small percent of hashing on equipment and get away with it not being noticed. Makes a person wonder.
1473  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: August 17, 2014, 12:02:40 PM
Will it damange the S1 by only running power to the side with the ethernet port and not hooking power to the opposite side? Basically only mining from one board. I am having power issues right now where I keep blowing the fuse to the circuit box.
If your running that tight on the circuit I think I would just unplug the miner. Not worth the risk to your home/building.

Edit: Also I have penciled mod and undervolt my 9 S1's which dropped the watts by 200 each and still hash @140 which maybe an option for you.

Just woke up, and we are still without block. Now add speed. Good luck to us all! Grin
we have but does not change what we get paid with PPS. The page. Is no longer working showing blocks found.

I am on East 1 and working fine. I know payments are still hitting my wallet as I just got another one. OP shows online so I would say he is working on things.

Thank you s0rb! I hope the pool hits some blocks for you soon!

It did.. just working on reporting.. i broke the blocks reporting switching to PPS

heh..
That's great! I was on the Bitmain S-3 thread trying to drum up some miners. The problem is the pool sounds to good to be true.... But word will get out. It should help once the winners start to receive the won S-3 miners and they report back hopefully with some pictures to show the disbelievers then this pool should skyrocket!

Thats how I found the pool Smiley
It actually looked like a fishy scam pool. Actually too good to be true.

1 question, has the antminer giveaway ended?
No it runs till end of this month! So you have another 15 days to win one! Good Luck!

1479  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 15, 2014, 11:46:16 PM
The point is, the "pool" is paying out more than it can ever take in on a PPS model so somethings up somewhere.

Trying to build a bitcoin affiliate network is what they are saying, also they claim the payout of bonus may last up until 5TH. This suggests they could end it sooner if they reach the goals for the pool.

If something is to good to be true it usually is. But on the other hand, if I had the resources, and could afford it, I would do the exact same thing to promote my own business, though perhaps not as aggresive as 12.5% Smiley

*Edit I am on the NY server, I only had a few minor disconnects, which may have to do with the fact the pool / company is in process of being built.
stratum+tcp://east2.bitcoindigger.com:3333

STILL dead ! I'll let test miner run for 10 minutes to see if it corrects but I doubt it.

Edit: Seems it was a worker issues _ instead of .

I am running 1 s-3 on it seems okay.  I did the VA server as I may be closer to it then the NY one.
I am in the Midwest and run all 12 miners (9-S1's and 3-S3's) on the VA server.
