I have a few questions:

2. Has the departure of 2 members (in the last weeks or month) from the Qora team something to do with different opinions over azure?

I have stepped in into this project, trying to save it and I took everything on my hands.
I had several ideas and visions for this and luckily, as I said, due to the work made by the qora team, Qora became powerful enough.
But unfortunately the majority of users was not here.
And I've been tired trying to save Qora, trying to save your money's value, trying to save the decentralization idea that Qora represents with its features.
At the same time, I have a real life, I need to work, I need to take care of my self a little bit, I have priorities.
Unfortunately I've met a dead end, so I decided to stop everything I am doing for Qora as because I have been heavily involved for "really" no reason.
Ideas are wonderful guys, but reality is hard.Nothing can be achieved without the proper support.
I've been supported by CIYAM and Qora team and you still have Qora alive. Now you have to support them to keep the idea - and your money - alive.

Cheers
Vrontis

Vrontis can we do anything to get you again in our community?
We need you!!!

I understand that you don't want to do a lot of work for nothing.
We had an AT fund for the CIYAM team.
To ALL believer in Qora here: can we make a similar fund for our Qora team?
Maybe not only @vrontis but @agran, too, would join again. And who know, maybe @Qora himself too...

('XYZ is a dick' etc).

You do know @xyz is part of the community, right?  Grin

haha, no offence @xyz Smiley

change that to 'joe sixpack is a dick'

I have not felt concern. Smiley
In principle I also have no problem with bad words against me. It is very difficult to offend me because I don't allow anybody to disturb my well-being. In addition, I do not always understand everything ...

I have a few questions:
1. I would very much like to know what our devs think about Azure.

2. Has the departure of 2 members (in the last weeks or month) from the Qora team something to do with different opinions over azure?

3. Has GoldenKnight369 deleted himself his large posting from yesterday?

Any value that those coins have may be due to CIYAM Developers, but as a new investor, your attitude is not one that I support.

The opinion of a newbie account who has done absolutely nothing doesn't really concern me (you are most likely just a sock-puppet as how would a newbie even know about all of this?).

It's funny how such newbie accounts suddenly appear in huge topics such as this when some controversy has happened (are you going to tell me that you read through this entire topic newbie - and the other Qora topics as well?).

PLEASE @CIYAM, I like your work and I thought you are a very nice fellow - but it isn't necessary to write such comments! Don't read what you don't like!!!! Or at least don't comment it!
I think every body (too a newbie) have the right to write his opinion).
Let us be a good community!!! With different opinions!

I don't know what is the best for Qora...
But I know that we should find an agreement what is for all acceptable! Discussion is good, but if the discussion get out of control (if people are no more friendly) then this is bad for all of us!!!!
I have seen that @CIYAM have done a very good job for Qora (so I mean his opinion is very important for our community) and I don't love all big players (like microsoft) because as larger somebody is as more he want to make all rules for all things - therefor I would stay away from Azure...
On the other hand @jwinterm has arguments and he is trying to give us HIS opinion. Maybe he is right to play with the big people as much as necessary... But the problem is nobody knows what the the future will bring  - it can be that we are today unable to see, what Azure or microsoft can do to our Qora!

Please to all, can we think a little bit longer? Can we watch what is happening to the other coins in azure and then maybe in some month we can speak again about joining or not!?

Agreement is wholly irrelevant. Every Qora developer, every person on this thread, and every person who owns a single Qora could all agree that Qora should not be on Azure, and it wouldn't matter - anyone with a Github account and enough knowledge to get Qora running on a Linux machine can make the pull request to Azure's Github account with an install script and a readme, sign the agreement themselves, and then Qora will be on Azure.

I don't know what you are trying to tell me... But I know I love Qora a long time and I will stay as long as I feel good with this coin. If things are changed in a matter I don't love I sell all my Qora and stay away.

Aha, and what makes you sure? As far as I can see, the current poll is going to a different direction. Most are voting for joining Azure platform.

I would hope that if Qora decides to go down the path of giving up its rights to Microsoft that they first remove AT from the software as I will never agree for Microsoft to have any IP rights of AT (which was invented by myself and coded entirely by CIYAM Developers).

So to be clear - there will be no assistance for the AT code in Qora from the CIYAM Developers once any such change of software license has occurred.

Don't be worry, qora won't join MIcrosoft.

If only YOU would change your vote the poll would give a different picture! Wink What makes you NOW sure a YES is the best for Qora?

Seems that Bter's Qora wallet is working again - after nearly one year!

Important Announcement: Poll created for Qora's Potential Involvement in Microsoft Azure BaaS Program

Please be advised that a poll has been created by Skerberus in regard to Qora's involvement in Microsoft's Azure Blockchain As a Service Program (BaaS)This will most likely affect the value of your investment, so we'd highly encourage the whole community to participate!  The outcome of this poll will decide whether we will apply to join the program or not.

Azure Poll (You can access the decentralized voting system inside your Qora client by going to the Voting tab): http://qora.co.in:9090/index/blockexplorer.html?poll=%20do%20you%20want%20qora%20to%20join%20microsoft%20azure%20baas%3F

In a nutshell, MS Azure BaaS platform is the cloud computing/deployment platform designed specifically for blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) purpose. By deploying the blockchain on Azure, it would be easier for potential developers and companies to interact and experiment with the blockchain, and create custom apps on top of the platform using existing MS technologies.

PROs:

1. By joining the program, we will be able to reach institutions and enterprises (banks, accounting firms.. etc) who otherwise will not be interested in learning and working with Qora.  In other words, we will be able to reach audience outside of current Crypto community.

2. Microsoft will soon offer "Azure Blockchain Marketplace" with rigorous certification process (security vetting conducted by Microsoft). This is the kind of recognition we need.

3. Azure has tools that'll make building/deploying new Blockchain technologies much easier: check out https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/devtest-lab/

4. Developers with no previous exposure to Crytocurrency and Blockchain Technologies will be able to interact/experiment with Qora utilizing existing Microsoft Technologies.

5. Big-name coins like Ethereum are already on it.

CONs:

1. Because of copyright and patent agreements that must be signed as part of the application process, NO Clones of qora or any derivative works based on Qora can be made.  For those of you who wish to be part of CIYAM's new Blockchain, you will be disppointed.  Sad

2. A licensing contract that involves patent and distribution rights has to be signed before being accepted into the program.

3. The contract cannot be annulled once joined.

---------------------------------------------------

The Poll will run for 2 weeks and close on April 15th.  Feel free to add to my list of Pros and Cons as you see fit. Happy Voting!  Grin

GoldenKnight369, you are a good promoter for Qora! Thanks!

ONE thing additional: Qora could chain to azure any time later - but cannot leave azure once joined, if I understand right!
Maybe it's better to wait!?

I am not sure what is the best for Qora - with or without Azure...
But we should think about CIYAMs posting! His opinion is very important for Qora!

Giving up rights to the software is a very bad idea and it would likely mean that the plans for the CIYAM Developers to create a clone of Qora would have to be scrapped.

That being said it is up to the Qora community and developers to decide their future direction (so for now I will simply watch and see what unfolds).

Note that if the CIYAM Developers do end up creating a clone we would very much desire the assistance of the existing Qora developers and community (if there is no such support then it would be less likely to be worth the effort).

And what is the Qora team's opinion?

The release is delayed, it is likely to be in a week.

Thanks for the info!
Good work needs time! Smiley

Seems that a lot of Qora holder now transfer their amount to polo. Polo has now about 36% of all Qora!!!!
I don't believe that this is a good way.
Polo is now forging nearly all blocks and getting nearly all fees.
Many people who now want to begin forging with a small amount of Qora will be frustrated..
What can we do to to change this situation?
Is there a way to give the fees only to the REAL holder of Qora?

Next version will allow to disable forging. Poloniex asked in the past if they should stop forging, we will ask them to stop it and I am quite sure that they will, they are very cooperative.
That's great!!! Hope Poloniex will do like you said! Thanks!!! Smiley

One account controls 30% of all coins.  Roll Eyes This is a really bad distribution. If this account sells only a small part of the stake then we will see an enormous crash.

Is it known who owns this account?

This is the account of poloniex!

Hi All,

I have transferred 3 btc worth of Qora coins from bter.com to polo but it is still showing null in qora block explorer. What could be the issue?

Bter withdrawing of Qora is not working - for month now!

Does that mean my coin is gone? Or will bter going to compensate for the coin? thanks!

Your Qora coins are now in the wallet of Bter - I suspect. They seem not to be interested to solve their problems of withdrawing!
Our devs have contacted them several times (they reported so), but Bter is not cooperating... Let us hope the new wallet will finally help to bring a solution for the probelms of Bter with Qora

Bin mal gespannt (mal wieder  Wink  ), wo es bei Qora diesmal hingeht.

https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_qora

In der kommenden Woche soll Version 0.26 veröffentlich werden.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1358722.msg14282895#msg14282895
