1461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: February 04, 2023, 06:48:05 PM
I think I’d rather be betting on whether or not this fight takes place. Tommy has ducked Jake so many times now, it seems more like he’s trolling Jake by accepting these fights. If they do fight though, I don’t think Tommy has a chance. I was watching some of his fight videos and he really doesn’t look like a pro fighter. Jake will probably be able to knock him out at which point I think KSI or Nate Diaz would be the next fights to make.

Fair point, and for that, Tommy still has another month to decide if whether he will continue to fight Jake or not. I know that this fight has been inked already but considering Tommy's past decisions towards this fight and Jake Paul in particular, it's not that far that he will make a run again and leave Jake in the air with the thoughts of finally having a bout with Tommy. But in any case, if this fight really pushes through, Jake Paul will eventually defeat Tommy Fury, no doubt.
Tommy is nothing compared to Jake Paul, so I’ll be rooting for Jake Paul too and leave Tommy in defeat. But if ever he’ll pull out from this fight again, that will only tell how coward he is so I guess he will really pursue this game especially that he’s now more motivated to fight because he’s now a father to his newborn daughter. Still, despite of the obvious result for this game, I would still love to watch these two inside the ring.

I guess there's still a good chance that Tommy Fury will behave childish again and leave Jake Paul hanging when their schedule is drawing near but thinking about it thoroughly, Tommy might face Jake eventually this time because the money he that he will have in this bout will be a good thing for his family especially after the fact that his girlfriend have just bore their child. But the result will be the same as speculated, Tommy Fury will lose by a TKO or KO.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 04, 2023, 06:22:12 PM
Lakers won indeed but they made a comeback because they were down 15 points at some point and let's not forget that Pacers had the last chance to score and AD made a huge block in the last seconds that kinda won them the game because that ball was 100% in without AD block. Now , I'm not taking anything from Lakers away because it was indeed a great victory and a hard working one but I also must admit that it was AD who won them the game.
I agree, that's why AD is really vital for the success of the team because he can defend and create offense to win. In fact, I even trust him than Lebron James taking the last shot. What happened to Pat Bev this game? he missed 2 crucial FT's, good thing they won the game.

I agree with this. LeBron is not that kind of defensive player anymore like he was when he was like 3-5 years younger and as from what I've observed from him, he is already avoiding some moves that will require some physical strength like dunking and hoovering towards the ring even if he's guarded by three players. That's why AD will be more suitable when it comes to crucial minutes because he got more chance to do it.

My team Bulls finally have won again and they moved once again in the last spot for playoffs just because Pacers lost to Lakers as the game itself was not so entertaining and LaVine having another mediocre game.
Bull had an easy win because Charlotte is not really a good team, good for them, at least they'll improve their ranking to secure a good chance to be in the playoffs.

Good for them, at least we will see a team that is more challenging an interesting to see in the upcoming post-season and not just a team that got lucky even if they aren't really qualified.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: February 02, 2023, 08:48:15 PM
Seems a long way away but it’ll likely fly by & we’ll be here before we know it. Too early to start predicting who will in it, Messi won’t be playing nor Ronaldo. So much can happen in football in that amount of time. The US actually have a good, young team. They could surprise a few people with home advantage.
France will be there, Mbappe should be in his peak, Spain have some real stars too.
I won’t make any solid predictions though.

You just said it yourself mate, it's still too premature to say anything towards the upcoming FIFA World Cup this 2026 and saying that Messi nor CR7 not playing is still a speculation as both superstars haven't hung their boots/cleats yet. Although, there's been a wide rumor already that CR7's last dance is in Euro 2024 but that will remain a mere speculation as of now because people are still believing that both superstar will still play in the FIFA as it will heavily boost their comrades confidence especially Messi as they are the defending champs.
From what I've heard outside this forum, it is widely believed that both Messi and Ronaldo won't be playing in the 2026 world cup because by then, both of them must have retired from football, I actually believed it, but then all the same, I still think you are right, non of them both have come out to make an official announcement that he is retiring at a certain time or year, so the current argument whether they wil play or not in the 2026 world cup is indeed all speculations currently, let see what happens going forward.

That's true and given that we're still in the year 2023, we are still quite away from the next World Cup that will happen in 2026 and both said superstars are now busy on their own career thus there's still a lot of things that will happen in the future as well. Let's just wait for their official announcement as arguing whether Messi and CR7 are retired by then is nonsense for now because even if there's a big rumor, only them can answer the big question.

That is normal that only them can answer this question but I doubt Cristiano will be able to play in the next World Cup,in the Euro Cup I know that this is highly possible because just 1.5 years from now it should be taking place and 1.5 years is not that big of a time to feel a radical change in the body of a super athlete like Cristiano.

For the World Cup though,in 2026 he should be well over 40 which makes it highly unlikely for him to be playing for the World Cup of 2026 for the Portugal team.Maybe Messi will be playing as he is a bit younger but also I have many doubts for him too.

I honestly had the same thought mate, but lately, I realized that maybe the can still play and be with their respective teams because even if they're not on the height of their prime anymore. Their experience and presence will somehow help the team because they are there supporting them as a player, not just a spectator that doesn't have any roles for the team. Especially Messi because aside from the fact that he is a bit younger than Ronaldo, he will gladly play with the team again as they are the defending champs.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 02, 2023, 08:26:11 PM
As for the venue, they are talking about 3 possibilities, (a) MGM Grand Garden Arena, (b) T Mobile Arena, and (c) Allegiant Stadium.

So they are all in Las Vegas, the gambling capital so expect a lot of money going to flow not only in this fight, but in the casino's surrounding it. There has hasn't been a boxing event in Allegiant Stadium, the home of Las Vegas Raiders who reported to have a sitting capacity of 70,000.

MGM has 20,000 and T Mobile Arena 17,000 sitting capacity.

So let's wait till the final contract has been signed and if they are looking to sit more boxing fans, Allegiant Stadium might be the good choice here.

I've read an article about this as well and found out that they are targeting Allegiant Stadium and in-fact, that is the last and latest rumor about the venue of the Davis-Garcia fight. Just imagine, a boxing event in a stadium where it can hold 70,000 people and surely, that will be profitable for the organizers of this bout and GBP will be certainly happy if this will be the final venue.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 02, 2023, 06:33:05 PM
something I noticed when I went to research more information about this fight is that most of the comments on the news sites where they talk about this fight people are giving Naoya Inoue as the guy who will win this fight without much difficulty, some even believe that the Naoya Inoue will win even before reaching the 4th round, anyway I also think and I will bet on Naoya Inoue to win this fight. I saw that the fight could be in April, I saw it on this site:

By Craig Daly: Naoya Inoue and WBC & WBO super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton are in the works for April, says promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank.

source: https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/01/naoya-inoue-vs-stephen-fulton-possible-for-april-says-bob-arum/

to be honest I don't know how far this news can have some truth, maybe it's just speculation or intention to make the fight not be in May and be earlier something like in April, in short it's April or May the most important thing is that the fight happens

It's probably around that time frame, April-May will be perfect in Japan. Probably they all agree verbally about this fight specially Stephen before he go up in weight at 126 lbs. At least he is not going to vacate the title and then we will all will say that he duck the Naoya because he is afraid that he might lose in this fight.

Still far though, many things can happen along the way, but hopefully it can definitely happen and there will be no issues like the money or the venue or even if there is such a rematch clause. In short, no more stumbling block as we all are looking for this fight and excited to see Inoue again in the ring.

Yes mate, they still have some time to clarify and rectify some things if ever there will be any misunderstanding while their discussion is going on. And speaking of discussion, I hope they are slowly having a start now because these days, time is moving so fast and the next thing we know, we're already in March even if the month of February just started. But yes, I really hope so too that this fight will go smoothly without any stumbling block.

I just hate to think about some negativities as there could be some problems along the way, knowing that Fulton's promoter, Al Haymon is unpredictable.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 02, 2023, 06:11:24 PM
Crazy ending to that Lakers game. LeBron got another chance to get a game winner but this time he passed the ball to Anthony Davis who then committed an offensive foul which ended up with the game going to overtime. They still won and LeBron moved a little closer to the record. Westbrook seemed to get a lot of crunch time minutes as well.

That was a lucky break for the Knicks, it's just that their last play was not planned well, I think it should be Brunson who should take the last shot as he is hot in that game, for sure if he missed it, he might get a foul. I don't understand why it was Randle who took the last shot.

Randle, as I observed him, he wanted to be the go-to guy of the team. I also consider that it should be Brunson to take that last
shot as he got a much better percentage, and he's not new in carrying a team.

Remember when Luka was out during the semis against the Sun's this man really help the team to win games and not to allow
Suns to take advantage of them.
When Brunson was still with the Dallas Mavericks, it was Randle who is the go to guy, unfortunately he is not a clutch player that's why they struggle in the playoffs. I think it's always the coach decision that has to be followed, the fact that he took the last shot, the design of play was probably on him.

But nothing that can be changed now, good to see that Lakers wins might be another controversial missed call.

I believe it was not a missed call, it's an offensive foul by the Davis, was challenge and the challenge was unsuccessful.

Probably, that was a call from coach Thibodeau because he wanted Randle to take the shot to see if how well he is in handling the pressure, you know just to see if he had some changes while they are still playing in regular games as it's better to know first who are the players that will be reliable enough when situations got tough because I reckon not all the time Brunson will be with the team and healthy.

But if you look at the game, Randle is not shooting very well, and that is why he is being criticize in this game. So not sure if this is a good play for coach Thibodeau to give Julius the ball and obviously Lakers know where it is going as he was double team in that last play.

Might be a better option for Brunson though, but it is what it is. Lakers escape with a big victory and Lebron is closing on that record.

Lots of game in for tonight, 76ers vs Magic might be very interesting and see if Magic can repeat it again.

That was indeed a bad call because apart from the fact that Randle is not a clutch player, the Lakers successfully predicted the game well that he will be the one who will hold the ball to shoot. I was really thinking why though, maybe the Knicks coach thought that the Lakers will defend Brunson as it is almost clear that he should carry it during the crucial moments, that's why they made a last minute changes because they thought that Randle will have some leverage.
1467  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: February 02, 2023, 05:44:32 PM
The most common mistake many new investors make is rushing into cryptocurrencies without any guidance. I think this is the first thing that is very important for you to understand. If you understand this, your purpose for investing in bitcoin is correct because you have enough for your daily needs.

If you want to be successful, have a rich mindset, spend less, and invest more depositing money in the Bank is not the right choice. Don't give up on your dreams.

Actually, not just with cryptocurrencies where these mistakes are common to happen, even in stocks, bonds and real estates. The thing is, people tend to rush whenever it's hyped without having the right knowledge before investing on it, that is why in the end, they are making more losses than profits that they could've had if they just had the right knowledge. And yes, it's nonsense to keep these funds in the banks because the interest can't at least chase the inflations that happen yearly.
1468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 01, 2023, 08:39:53 PM
Cannot wait for Tommy Fury to knock Jake Paul out cold. Then we can stop pretending that Jake Paul is the next big thing in boxing and he will be exposed for the types of fights he has been setting up. I never liked the paul brothers because of some of the things they have done but talking purely on boxing Jake is a good amateur but he is not cut out for real boxers with experience. He will be exposed and I think Tommy Fury will be the one to do it.

Personally I think you're wrong.  Tommy Fury to me doesn't look like a polished professional fighter.  He's also been injured a lot recently if you're to believe why he hasn't fought Paul already...  I'll probably be putting some money on Jake and feeling good about it, but who knows, maybe I don't know anything about boxing.  Smiley  It will be entertaining to say the least and I'm surprised how friendly everything has been leading up to the fight other than some petty shots online.  I look forward to seeing how it plays out.

For betting purposes, it will be a wise move if you will bet towards Jake Paul rather than betting for Tommy Fury and I think most of the avid fans of boxing out there will be agreeing with me on this one. Although some people are not fond of watching Jake Paul's fight, it's somehow undeniable that we can see some reels about him because he is breaking some headlines lately especially after he fought and defeated Anderson Silva who is not that new in the boxing anymore. That's why it's really hard to side with Tommy in this fight.

1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 01, 2023, 05:59:33 PM
When it comes to defense, I'll go with tank davis. His footwork is so good that he dodged a lot of punches from his last fight between him and hector garcia. His punch is so powerful that bigger opponents can't take the damage in their body. I don't know if Ryan has a body that can take the punch of Tank but he is an orthodox fighter and he has a crazy fast hooks and jabs. He dropped Javier Fortuna with his crazy jabs. The hook of King Ryan is also powerful so we should expect that we can see hooks vs hooks between him and Tank.

Well, I can't deny that Tank Davis has a physique that supports him a lot, especially when it comes to defending himself and even resisting goals, it's something that he has like armor, it's not bad, and in part this could be an impediment for Garcia It is also as you say, his technique is rudimentary, like the combination of the old school and new things that are only his own style, now, if we are going to see García's style, he may be preparing For this, I believe a lot in Garcá's strategy, he is an intelligent boxer, and he must know what his own capacity is and how his strategy should be so that he can come out victorious.

Yes, I'll go with Davis as well as it's a wiser move rather than siding with Ryan Garcia. This doesn't mean that I'm underestimating the latter but we are here talking and speculating about their upcoming fight. We all know that Ryan Garcia got no experience about fighting heavy names as of now because he had to be in a back-to-back tune-up fight so that he can regain himself after the Campbell fight where his weakness was revealed.

And speaking about weakness, Garcia will have a hard time finding Tank's because that's still a mystery until now and it seems that he got a good armor equipped on his body which give him another upper hand.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Online Gambling Fraud on: February 01, 2023, 05:30:55 PM
  • 5. Credit Card Fraud
At gambling websites, it is very typical to see thieves using stolen credit cards. If they can get the card to work, they can quickly and easily cash out. Cybercriminals can use a stolen credit card to top up an online casino account. From there, they can withdraw in cryptocurrency.
That is why it is good to protect your phone against sim swap attack, if OTP is not received, the scam will not be successful. But the most important thing is to protect your card pin, if protected and not known to scammers, they will not be able to withdraw from your bank. In my country, this type of scam is common, the scammer will call you, doing as if they are from your bank, ask you about an OTP sent to your phone or asking about your pin. There are some that do not require pin, but do not give scammer OTP sent to your phone, even do not bother to talk with them at all.

Had a few encounters about these things, and even my family especially the older ones who are not that updated to scams on the internet are getting some calls that they are from a bank or online platform that you had some malicious activities or that you have a bonus $100-1,000 credit but it's the scammers behind the line. Sometimes, older people are the most vulnerable from these attacks as most of the times, they got emotional from the news and give their PIN or OTP easily.

I was talking to a neighbour within the weekend and suddenly he grew so much passion in wanting to invest but now the problem is that his wanting me do this for him with excuses of not having the basic knowledge and I've told him to Google and do his own research about it.
I want to know if it's safe to buy Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge of it ?

The question is, are you willing to grab that kind of responsibility? You know that's not an easy task as you yourself already know the risks entailed with investing cryptocurrencies as there's no such thing as assurance in this industry. Even if you hold it for a long-term, what's in it for you? And how sure are you that your neighbor will have that profits in the future? I doubt, it's not worth the risk.
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Medical student wins lottery 5 times after embezzling graduation funds on: January 30, 2023, 08:18:27 PM
How can someone ends up in debt after winning 5 times the lottery?, that was some kind of bruteforce gambling.

Too bad she was using the graduation money, for sure wasn't easy for the students to get that money and was easy for her to gamble those funds, she should go to jail for those actions, it's called karma. And even if she goes to jail the students will not recover that money at all.
That means she’s totally addicted to lottery that she even use the graduation funds to fulfill her desire in gambling. Well, that is an advantage to her because she’s probably the class treasurer but using them for betting, that action really deserves a punishment. And if the school will strictly follow its policy, she might be even banned from school and might not even included in the graduation ceremony. Her parents might not be solely blamed for this but they should be accountable of their daughter’s actions.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 30, 2023, 07:59:11 PM
The growth of technology such as internet, mobile phone, etc as well as the growth of the online gambling industry does affect the possibility of faster addiction.
It is an undeniable fact but we should not blame the growth of technology and gambling industry if the addiction is also growing fast.
We responsible for ourselves and responsible for our own family, we should know how to prevent the possibility of getting addicted to something.
In this case, we should aware about the positive and negative effect of technology and gambling industry if we do not want to be affected negatively.
Indeed, this online casino that is more accessible than traditional casinos is paving its way to closer addiction for gamblers. But let’s not blame completely online casino for that as we are always responsible with our own actions. If we are undisciplined gamblers, regardless if it’s online or traditional casino, we will always end up in addiction. But if we only gamble for enjoyment during our free time, online gambling will be a bit more relevant as you can always access it even at the comfort of our home.
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to invite 1 of my friends to invest in bitcoin on: January 30, 2023, 07:40:44 PM
That could be the possible scenario once the seller started to endure losses. But I doubt if he will invest immediately without studying about bitcoin on his own self, as every investment needs prior preparation and deep research before you finally decide to put your money at a risky investment.
Sometimes I wonder if investing is really the best step after some minimal introduction just as in the case of OP. U dont know if the narration is one that comes with some absolute truth but, it's just too early to want to invest almost immediately. You must have been very convincing in your small talks with your supposedly friend and I think you could do well in affiliate marketing with your talent.

Its nice to have brought your neighbour on board and most of all, introduced him to the forum but still, your guidance doesn't end there for him. There is a lot he needs to know and I hope you don't hesitate when the questions come pouring down because it does.
Seems like OP has its strong power to convince someone regardless if those being said are based on facts and are legit. Because he never hesitate on his decision to convince the seller right away to invest in bitcoin, and since the seller has no knowledge too when it comes how risky and volatile bitcoin is, yet his being reckless still push it through. I just hope both have think first it a lot of times before jumping into conclusion and investing quickly into bitcoin without even preparing for it. Well, good luck for both of them, especially for the seller, as he will surely be surprised as to how his investment has turned out.

ChatGPT isn't a trading tool, it's simply just create a random paragraph from an article or someone thought, if you think ChatGPT is credible and you can trust your money with this bot, I have no words to say for you.

There are many people really want to make money quickly without doing anything, but most people are just stupid for believe anything about automatic tool or robot trading that they think it will work without any understanding behind the tool.
It’s like that every opportunity that comes, people will seize for it even if they end up believing that ChatGPT is a way to make money in trading. But the problem is they don’t even know what ChatGPT is all about and I think it’s never gonna work in trading as trading will never be fixed and will always follow an uncertain market. And since ChatGPT has it’s also limits too, though it’s goodly set for business and in other massive learning ideas, but when it comes to trading, i just think this chatbot is never enough to predict a successful trading.

The best advice to follow is to see bitcoin as a long term investment vehicle. Ignore all outside noise, FUD & short term price movements. You will not lose money if you buy bitcoin & hold it long term. For any noob, just starting to buy now, it might be hard for you to become rich by buying only bitcoin in the short term but if you buy bitcoin regularly over many years you will be in a good position.

Save bitcoin alongside regular monthly fiat or pension contributions. 20 years of DCA (dollar-cost-averaging) monthly into bitcoin will put you in a nice position to enjoy a comfortable retirement.
Bitcoin will always be profitable especially if you see it as a long term investment. Forget about bitcoin as as a get-rich-quick scheme as only poor minds fall for it, that’s why they never end up successful investing in bitcoin because of that mindset. But if you keep doing DCA everytime there is an opportunity to buy, and you place them for long term hodling, that’s when you start seeing sustainable profits and even put yourself in a very good position as long as you keep the faith by hodling your bitcoin, and you stay out of panic buying and selling.

It's great that you've had the opportunity to reconnect with successful uncles from your extended family and hear about their experiences. It's true that hard work is important for success, but luck and opportunity can also play a big role. The key is to be prepared for those opportunities when they come, and to keep working hard so that when luck does come your way, you're in a position to take advantage of it. It's also important to remember that success doesn't always mean monetary wealth, success can come in many forms, such as personal growth, happiness, and a sense of fulfillment. So, focus on your goals, work hard, be open to new opportunities and don't forget to enjoy the journey
I also believe that luck could play a big role in success. But never rely for luck alone, as we don’t even know when will it actually hit us. So let’s focus on taking advantage first on every opportunity that comes and always give the best for it so that when luck finally comes, all our efforts and hardwork will paid off, plus the luck that will finally put us in a great position. As there’s no main ingredient in success, but if you pour hardwork on it, most likely you’ll get lucky too at the end of the day. That’s how success happens.
