Anyone have experiences with those?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195540.60

There are other group buys but I'm looking at this one since it is EU and relay low price.

I have 2 on order from yxt doing the Europe group buy. I know the ROI is not that good but I figured they will keep me going against the rising difficulty until (and if) my bfl order ever arrives. Also I thought they look cool and I have lots of free slots from the pc's I've built.

I have enough coins for 2 more but I had doubts about the UK group buy with the questions over the VAT etc - yxt's units worked out about 2.51 coins each - this includes DHL postage. The UK group buy units seem cheaper at just over 2 coins - but what about postage and taxes etc.

I think ultimately I will wait for yxt for do a second buy and go there again - his group buy was very professional...

I waited 18 days for a EUR sepa transfer - but at least it came in the end...

žiadny problém, vždy to stane, skontrolujte znova! ako teraz, len pevné, že je to sám!   if google translate works Tongue

Re-translates to:

no problem always happens, check again! as now, and only fixed it yourself!

looks like you are telling him to fix it himself Smiley

I looked at my stats at around 8:15 server time and my score was almost zero, so it must've been recently reset (I guess at 8:00). With one exceptions those things usually self-correct after some time.

So - let's be patient for now.

I noticed the reset too - I think the reset kicks in after exactly two hours into a round to stop numbers getting too big to handle.
1466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 22, 2013, 11:00:27 PM
Alright, I will address it.

Your intention is, if someone is unhappy with their purchase because:

--BFL failed to deliver.
--Within a reasonable timeframe.
--Don't have any info on when it might even ship.

etc.

Then,

Sell it to someone who thinks they will someday get the miner. But make them pay 15 to 25 times the price for the "opportunity" to own one. Your apparent loss is somehow their certain gain (?).

------------------------

Explain this to me:

Why would the above scenario (as a transaction) be completed in good faith? Ok, go.

You think I will not get my BFL order.
I think I will.
You hope I will not get my BFL order.
I hope I do.

Over-using LARGE size fonts is a sign of a weak argument

[EDIT] you didn't address this guys $15k fail

Is this a new kind of maneuver where idiot A says something stupid, and idiot B backs him up, on said stupidity being essentially valid??
Whatever happened to just admitting you said something incredibly stupid and working on the next stupidity to come in the near future?

Unless BFL never ships. Then he comes out ahead.
Especially if there are not enough funds left in the BFL coffers to refund everyone.

* Tries to figure out why it's anyone's business what I spend my Bitcoins on *

I can help you figure that out - because you created this thread out of sour grapes and now encourage other bfl customers to get a refund.

Your 2012 order would have sold on here (and has done) for at least 5 times what you paid. Just sell it on here if you weren't happy. Now, instead of having potential $20k you have spent $3-4K and end up with 6 GH/s

Correct me if I'm wrong but that is a fail...

So Nottm28,

You advocate the "sell it to the greater fool" theory.

If it is not good enough for you, sell it (offload it) unto someone else who is stupid enough to not ask why you are offloading it in the first place.

Transfer the bad buying opportunity to someone else?

Correct me if I'm wrong but that is a fail...

No, that's just what the market is willing to pay Puerto - he's lost $15k by bitching - address that fail - to me that's epic

[EDIT] And over-using LARGE size fonts is a sign of a weak argument

3) Don't want anyone else to get an ASIC because it will slow your hash rate down (like puerto).

A new level of stupidity has just been achieved.

Moron thinks that my hashrate will "slow down" because more ASICs are involved?

You know what I meant Puerto - you will earn less because your percentage of the overall hash rate will decrease. Idiot comment.

I'd like to give you at least some credit for the double face palm pic because I love that pic - but you pinched that too  - off loads of other people using it - I wonder if you have anything original about you at all...

And because of my lack of cognitive processing it took about 5 pages to get me to understand. So if you cant get it from that please ask more questions. Basically take the phase of the mood at 3pm then put in a constant for the size of your best friend's cat. divide that by the number of people in your home town during the year of your mothers birth. now multiply that all by your hash rate, divide by the total number of points and then multiply that by the total reward minus 2%. It really is that simple.  Shocked

Before anyone yells at me it's a joke and I'm picking on myself.

haha Smiley
1473  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 22, 2013, 08:32:34 PM
Xian01 - his motive is unclear - he's lost a 2012 order - he could have sold it for 10x the price he paid if he wasn't such an idiot - to me the only thing I can think is that he's an idiot...

Not sure I would go so far with the idiot classification. Disgruntled and bitter, sure. Idiot ? Yeah, I guess I was an idiot holding out for 11 months, being strung along, and being OK with taking abuse from their COO.

Except for that whole part where I was not OK with taking the abuse and constant delays, and expressed my displeasure in a pretty harsh way.

In retrospect, I should have just taken a refund and bought Avalon or ASICMiner.

I'm sure one day BFL will ship and I'll look at all you with your BFL rigs and I'll feel a pang of regret. It's too bad for me I can't keep my cool and bite-down hard on the ball when I'm getting it from behind.

So you take (were forced to take due to the abuse you were throwing about) approx $4000 refund for an early 60 GH/s bfl asic.
Then you spend approx $3000 dollars on 300MH/s usb's which will give you about 6 GH/s.

I'd love to see your business plan if you ever set up on your own...

Not that I'm against 300MH/s usb's - I have 2 on order myself...

Weather cut the power on my machine while I'm at work. Happened yesterday aswell. Will have to wait until day's end to restart   Sad

Might be worth getting a UPS - will keep you up for half an hour or so - maybe enough to see you through short outages...

awesome rate with an awesome block at an awesome time duration. now if only we could have this every single time  Grin

strange. will be invalid, I guess

From the stats page, click on the block number and you will see that it's takes you to blockchain info confirming block is slush's.

Since the bitcoind patch we haven't had any invalids.

[EDIT] whereas if you click on the block number for an invalid, the blockchain info site states - Block Not Found - we haven't seen this since the patch - good job that man

Last few rounds, looks like it makes sense now just wish there was a line for my score thats all. and my hash is under 50 just dont want to admit how little it really is cause you would die laughing but like I said running this as a model and not as income generation yet.
[ ... ]

Plenty of miners have a hashrate of ~ 35 Mhps (like you).

Which reminds me organofcorti - you said you may find time for an updated blog entry - have I missed it or have you been too busy (watching day time tv - jeremy springer Smiley )
Since you are not accepting donations I would be happy to collect them for you and donate them to my favorite charity.  Grin

there has got to be a way to put this conversation into a wiki or a faq to prevent the need to go through it again for the next guy/gal

Just dont like the begging thing - the wiki thing is a good idea and has been mentioned before - I dont think anyone ever expected slush's thread to get to 431 pages...

[EDIT] someone will tell us if there's a thread with more pages than slush...

Funny wm - keep posting my friend you have me in stitches sometimes.

Does that mean you think Sonny was innocent of the mail fraud charges? That he was just a victim of a witch hunt?

Clever comment man - I take it you:

1) Don't have a BFL order.
2) Don't want a BFL order (unless they start shipping - then you will have known it was a good idea all along).
3) Don't want anyone else to get an ASIC because it will slow your hash rate down (like puerto).

I don't know whether I care about Sonny tbh - I have an ASIC order and that pisses peops off on this thread... How would I know?
