1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Now on crycurex.com! on: January 22, 2014, 01:51:32 AM
7 Satoshi per MicroCoin? That sucks. I think that's too less..

This coin definately has potential.

Just shows people cry about fair coins, this one is fair but nobody is promoting it.

I don't understand how insta-mine coins like quark and doge can do so well  when ppl are always complaining its not a fair coin... and then when a fair coin with a good name that wasn't meant to be a joke comes along, we don't get much support... The world is a square box right now lol

It's because it's on a no-name exchange that's also selling COYE, and thus likely to be sued into oblivion.  Wait until it hits coinedup or coinex.
Agree that. Wait. Don't dump your coin in any crap exchange.
Doge and quark have a good support from people who will dump it hard. If you already buy it, you are in. But with marketprice now... I don't want both one.
Wait until you see what is the big news what dev talk about.

Halibit I haven't any problems, m can't others have.. even files with thousands blocks and nodes don't help them..
Oh so true.
Well maybe it help for someone who have connection problems.

Someone talked about important receive version message: version 70000

Well, as you see your wallet find the network. Look your log blocknumber:
send version message: version 70000, blocks=41159, us=84.51.89.244:4444, them=188.2.160.225:4444, peer=188.2.160.225:4444

Also your nodes are alive, even 4444 port nodes, so 44444 port can't be your problem.

version 70000 info is correct info

If you download your wallet very early.... just in case
Are you sure you are delete old roaming folder and you have newest wallet?

I have only nodes as follow:

rpcport=44444
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=*
server=1
listen=1
addnode=84.251.34.142:44444
addnode=95.42.89.81:4444
addnode=178.18.103.45:4444
addnode=113.162.172.54:4444
addnode=213.100.65.152:4444
addnode=77.53.224.38:4444

I have no upnp enabed.
And all is fine with that.

If any of those points not helping you, (delete roaming folder, download new wallet, add config file as follow)
Then your connection problem must be on your firewall, antivirus/FW software, portfilter on your router or ISP rules.
I dont think even dev can help you then.
BTW what is your operating system, this may also explane something...

Thats what I think.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 21, 2014, 01:51:24 PM
Which is the most safe storage for doge coin?
cold storage

I agree, if you have 1 mil DOGE or more, then you seriously need to consider securing your funds.

A very safe and easy setup is to get a old computer only used as DOGE wallet (e.g. old laptop), instal a clean OS, instal Dogecoin-QT, copy-paste the public key to a txt file, and transfer the file to a USB stick.
TURN of you Doge wallet computer (now your wallet is "cold").

Transfer funds to the public adr. for your doge wallet - sit back and look at pictures from Hawaii)

cold usb is ok too, don't need a whole computer just for one coin

Agreed. I have my BTC,LTC on one HDD and the DOGE on another HDD.
I think most safe storage for DOGE is sell it all Smiley
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - No Premine on: January 21, 2014, 01:04:54 PM
Then problem seems like in your open ports or even internet provider?

i think internet provider,with internet key work  Huh
Maybe your have firewall contract with you provider and they dont allow 44444 port. Try another one,
you can also try to put Upnp on / off and see if that any help.

Anyone else has Linux skills and mining rig?
No skills, no rig, but source seems to be on git:

my 270x work fine lol, like 1 Mh/s  Roll Eyes

280x works with 2 Mh/s speed.
Me too.
I have only 4GB RAM on my 2X7950 rigs, and I still got 1000-2000MH/s.
I use basic settings:
microCoinminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://mrc.blocksolved.com:3310 -u halibit.15 -p qwepois2 --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://mrcus.nut2pools.com:6000 -u halibit.1 -p qwepois2 --failover-only -o 192.168.1.95:44444 -u user -p x --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389028879 --queue 0 --scan-time 2 --expiry 4  -I 20

Been having a great time mining this. Could you please explain how to stake coins?
Also my wallet cant find any connections today  Sad
Looks like stake is only for keeping network alive forever. Not give any profits.

Here is coin stake settings:
static int64 nRewardCoinYear = 5 * CENT;  // creation amount per coin-year
int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * 33 / (365 * 33 + Cool * nRewardCoinYear;
static const int64 nTargetTimespan = 1 * 24 * 60 * 60;  // one day
static const int64 nTargetSpacingWorkMax = 12 * STAKE_TARGET_SPACING; // 2-hour

Actually, if someone is interest about coin settings, you need only read two files on the source (src folder)
main.cpp and main.h

I recomment to read those for all coins before invest large amounts for the coin. There is so many pure scam coins.
Microcoin looks all fine  Tongue

That's good to hear MCR, I think after the new branding is ready this coin has the chance to capture many people's attention so I'm very glad you guys will be making the most of it with strong marketing.

Are you able to comment on the nFactor issues being discussed above?
nFactor is fancy.
It will take new target using block time vs starttime. No matter what is block number.
As bigger nFactor is, that more miner will need RAM and hash power too.

I think all nfactor coins settings use same settings as YAC.
There is one nfactor coin retargets table:

NFACTOR RETARGETS
    Time: 1389474171 12 Jan 2014 N: 64 Nfactor: 5
    Time: 1389736315 15 Jan 2014 N: 128 Nfactor: 6

    Time: 1394192763  7 Mar 2014 N: 4096 Nfactor: 11
    Time: 1397338491 13 Apr 2014 N: 8192 Nfactor: 12
    Time: 1401532795 31 May 2014 N: 16384 Nfactor: 13
    Time: 1405727099 19 Jun 2014 N: 32768 Nfactor: 14
    Time: 1422504315 29 Jan 2015 N: 65536 Nfactor: 15
    Time: 1430892923  6 May 2015 N: 131072 Nfactor: 16
    Time: 1456058747 21 Feb 2016 N: 262144 Nfactor: 17
    Time: 1489613179 16 Mar 2017 N: 524288 Nfactor: 18

Anyway. nFactor is good for GPU miners, because ASIC etc miners can't handle variables.

how about a poll for the top 20 coins on cryptsy we want delisted?

yes... they need to focus on their sad customer service and server issues more than they do adding new coins daily

Is this coin 100% premined "seed coins" and dev just waiting someone to buy coins, or are they all premined coins give away for free?
Or how this works?  Cool
NXT is already distributed you can purchase NXT here www.bter.com www.dgex.com www.nxtchg.com
Thank you for info. But I actually asking is dev give away all coins or how many they keep them self?
If I understand right this is 100% premined coin and every coin will get POS on future.
How may coins are behind dev growing stake = How much is dev premining and keep coins them self? All? 1%, 10% 100% or..?
I dont mind if they make profits from nothing... or from noobs pocket Smiley
but just want to know how many coins there is for dumping by dev?
Its important info for investors.

Are you sure you are in the right thread?
Serious question.

Nxt has been around since november and is up and running.
Maybe you are confused with NEX, NOX, NEXX, NEM, ME.TOO or FRX?
Those are all new since yesterday?

I repeat, I mean this question seriously.
Oh it's 100% mined second ripple Shocked
Yes I ignore this automatic. This was first time I stop look it.

Why not microCoin listed to vote?
It's only "serious" coin for a while.
Fair launch, spread coins for all miners, not just for first instaminers as many other coins do.
Actually best mining period is still coming.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - No Premine on: January 19, 2014, 09:03:32 PM
I think the developers should clarify what the settings are for the Nfactor and what triggers a change etc, so we can understand and predict feasibility of mining with gpu/cpu.
Would you rather have this coin be an all gpu coin? I know one of the requirements to be on any exchange is to have strong network support. I think the devs should just get rid of the N-factor and let the GPU miners support the network at max capacity.
Well i think a coin with CPU mining cababilities is future proof, but as of yet it needs to be mainly GPU because cpu is too inaccesible and has many downsides compared to GPU. Therefore it is important for the miners to know what the nfactor does and how its regulated. I say keep the N-factor but keep it mainly focused on gpu for now
nFactor 4-30 will keep microcoin more profitable with GPU all the time.  Tongue

Dont see any CPU miner yet here.

Hey everyone,

I just discovered this coin and I like what i see so far. I couldnt find any pictures graphically displaying the pay out so I decided to make them my own. Hopefully this is also usefull to others.

It might even be a good idea to display one of these figures in the original post so newcomers can easily see how the distribution process works.

Just downloaded the wallet too, and yikes does it sync fast! Good job devs!

I dont have a mining rig btw, maybe someone can send me my first coins? Thank you Cheesy

Great graphs about block rewards.
Graph is similar like all many other coins, but other coins are mined on fast period and only whales are got those first blocks.
If you just can, hold you coins and wait until blocks are around 500K. Then we may see totally different price for that coin.
This may be most profitable coin mining now.

Can you make one graph about block rewards vs time period.
I will send you some coins for that.
This is what you want i think, estimated at an average block time of 32 seconds:

btw, there is a small mistake in my first set of pictures. The first part of 10000 blocks being 0.001 block reward only lasted 10 blocks because i wrote 10.000 instead of 10000 in my code Cheesy, if it needs to go on the first page just request a new one so i can make it perfect. the rest is still correct.

1JV9BRZrx16mmpM7ZvJBFP9J9Cv4K4UW4G

Thanks. Thats what I like to see Smiley
I think this is first coin where is not just few whales owning most of coins.
Only reason if some one will not come to be great backholder for MRC, even with small rig, is if don't want to mining it.
But all we will get opportunity for that.
I sent you 5000MRC
