1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: November 06, 2020, 06:34:17 AM
Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

To avoid you regretting later why not just click on hidden button to hide the tokens from sight? You never can tell if those tokens you call worthless now will later rise once activities and publicity on them begins. There is no harm in keeping many tokens in your wallet. Scrolling down to find tokens or using the search engine on your wallet should not be any problem for anyone. I suggest you leave them in your wallet but hide them.
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 05, 2020, 02:34:26 PM
I'm considering to possibly add Bitcoin and other altcoins as a way to pay for goods purchased on my online store.
Is this a good idea?
Yes it is a good idea. It will help spread the awareness of bitcoin.

Are there any risks (other than the volatility)?
The present risk is the huge transaction charge. It means your customers will have to pay more for products or services except you are going to be the one paying the transaction fees.

Is anyone really going to use this?

Yes there are a lot of people who are always ready to try out new things and experiment with it. Be optimistic.
1483  Other / Off-topic / Re: There are three ways to get rich on: November 04, 2020, 07:26:14 AM
Hey guys, see how chance and choice can get you rich.

2. You work hard for it: This is a level of self achievement by dint of hard work either through your profession or other means. This level is very critical and meant for the strong and hard hearted. You are likely to meet tongs, wilderness, mountains and toughest times but if you over come, you become a winner. As they say, tough times don't last but tough people do. And success has followers but failure don't.

I will look at this as "Work smart" and not "Work hard". A lot of people work hard without knowing the target to hit. But smart people know.

4. You win the lottery.

This is another way of getting rich and many people do are depending on their way to success and riches through it.

That must be after several gambling attempts because people do not usually win a lottery at first attempt. I do not think we should consider this as vital because it is gambling.

Nope sometimes family have just get rich along the way of process, meaning while we are growing our parents dedicates their life in business and we are
being trained in our younger days on how to get rich.

OP mentioned it too as part of working hard on point 2.
1484  Other / Meta / Re: How many hours are you connected daily? on: November 03, 2020, 01:01:19 PM
Anyway, it was understandable since you mentioned that you are having a depression that time. I'm wishing all the best for you dude, you can make it! Just don't forget to seek His guidance Smiley.

Thank you for showing concern. Am better now and I will be spending more time here henceforth.

This is what forum says about my stats. Cheesy But I am not really that much active as it shows.I spend lot of time from my mobile to read forum and use notebook to posts things.

That is a lot of time you have spent here from that screenshot when compared to the number of posts you have made. But I like to ask if there is any reason why you do not post from your mobile and choose your notebook instead?
1485  Other / Politics & Society / Re: They kill us at nights and sympathize with us by day on: November 03, 2020, 09:04:25 AM
It might interest you to know some hidden facts about serving police officers still engage into some evil. There salaries are nothing to write home about, those serving officers sometimes find it difficult to get their pay like other paramilitary because of their funding. The retirees in the police force are the worst hit bro, a retired CP (commissioner of Police)  after retirement find it difficult to live because of pension, the government of the past did some dastard act to these retirees, they diverted their retirements benefits to other section of the government in 2011/2012. Now, if the high rank officer after retirement find it hard to cater for their families, then, what do you think about the intention of the serving officers? they will definitely find other alternative of surviving, am not in support of their actions though.

If we go by your arguments here Becky666 it means that you are justifying the criminality of the sars officials because you believe they are owed salaries and pensions. You also said their salaries when paid is nothing to write home about. My dear, do you know that there are graduates in Nigeria who get paid less than what those secondary school sars officials get? There are many graduates who don't even have jobs or get paid at all. So those civil servants owed salaries for many months should also turn to crime and extort the public? Please, let us not justify what those criminal policemen do. They are bad. It is not true that there are a few bad ones among them. Majority of them is bad.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: November 02, 2020, 07:49:35 PM
Don't do it, a project with anonymous team are probably scammers, team information is very vital, this is a way of knowing how capable the team will handle a project, if you can't find any information about the team then you are alone in the dark on this one, this ain't year 2012 where majority of altcoins without team still performs better

Do you think Bitcoin had the team members revealed at its inception? Till date no single person knows who Satoshi Nakamoto who is believed to have established Bitcoin is but that has not stopped Bitcoin from getting to where it is today. I do not think that not knowing team members of projects is a bad thing or a big deal.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween inspired poll –would your Bitcoins get passed on if you suddenly died? on: October 28, 2020, 05:56:05 PM

This topic is worrisome to me and it causes me deep regret that one day I will die and the few satoshi I may have will be left lying in a wallet and not claimed by my children or loved ones. I hope we get a way out of this ugly situation. It is a big concern for me.

My brother was the person who got me into crypto, and that's why I have given him full access to my private keys where I hold some satoshis (yeah, my stash isn't that big but I believe I'll be holding some good amount of coins one day, or that these satoshis will be worth at least a few extra thousand dollars if BTC skyrockets to the level Satoshi expected it to, hehe).

That is very thoughtful. But what if death calls on your brother before you, that still leaves you alone with your bitcoin and no backup. Do you have another backup to keep your bitcoin safe apart from your brother?
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AUDIO massive pump after surprise Binance support on: October 27, 2020, 02:46:46 AM

I checked the overview data now on coingecko and discover that AUDIO had a record high and record low on the same day of Oct 23, 2020 of $0.84 abd $0.043 but it is now trading at $0.16. If you follow that data it will be that early adopters who did not sell on high are in serious loss, unless they got the token for free. Another thing is that we should not generalize that any token listed on Binance is a instant success. This is not true because I have seen a lot of companies that get listed on Binance but are still very much struggling to get back to ICO price. What guarantees success is what programmes the companies have with the tokens they put on Binance and not just because the tokens are listed on Binance.
1489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm very worried about my Crypto Trading. on: October 20, 2020, 02:52:14 PM
First of all, trading is not a job, it is an activity of its own kind to make money. So, you can't earn income with trading, but can make good profits in trading.

Those who trade for others and get paid for it wil disagree with you on this. They will be right to do so because that is what some bankers do in the banks. They trade for banks and they get salaries for doing so. How do you define such situation? On the part of OP, am thinking he is doing panic buying and panic selling. That is not a good way to trade.
1490  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many posts have you merited? on: October 05, 2020, 07:01:00 AM
Hides his head in shame - I've only merited 600.
Nothing to be ashamed of. 600 is still a good number compared to someone like me who has not done much on that. I wish I can have merits to give out to deserved posts.
1491  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corona Cattle... Face Masks Are Dangerous. on: September 02, 2020, 09:00:02 AM
Coronavirus masks do not stop viruses.

Coronavirus masks keep bacteria in - on the mask. Then they add moisture to the bacteria on the inside of the mask. Then you get sick from the rampaging bacteria inside your mask you are wearing.

Anything that is artificial will never be comfortable for the human body and as such that is what the mask does too. You can not breath well in it but it is better than not wearing any at all as a safety measure. Also having bacteria infection as a result of wearing the mask is better than getting infected with coronavirus. Viruses have a faster rate of casualties than bacterias.
1492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What went wrong here? on: August 24, 2020, 07:20:59 PM

Nothing went wrong. However, you did not tell us how many units of ALGO you bought to make anyone worry about your loss. If you bought a few of less than 100 units, I do not think it should make you panic because you have not loss much. Just wait and hold, watch how the price rise above your purchase level to give you profit. Next time, do not panic when you are faced with loss.
1493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Virtual trading before actual one - pros and cons on: August 24, 2020, 03:35:56 PM
I used some demos or practice platform to test my skill but to familiarize the markets and the tools and after that I immediately jump to trading with a small amount since I know from the very start that real trading and using virtual money is still different from the virtual money.

Starting small will not guaranty you success because your whole attention will still be on the fright of losing the small capital. While going live trading is important to make success you must have to practice to on demo a lot time to master the act of trading. And you should not tie all your material expectations on your trading because it will cause you to make irrational calls which can lead to you losing more and more. It is good to free your mind and invest only cash you will not regret if you lose it.
1494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Latoken will charge you 5USD monthly, if you are not active. on: August 24, 2020, 04:52:57 AM
Why do you guys think so?
Who are they going to lose, clients that are not making a trade/deposit/withdraw fro 6 months? How can you even call them clients?
From the start, why would you leave money there for more than 6 months and do nothing, why leave coins on an exchange for that long?

I think the loss will not be the old clients. It will be with those who will want to have the urge to patronise them. It will discourage newcomers from registering on Latoken. It is not even a top exchange to start with so why make a tough rule to cost it have a bad reputation. Thank you to the OP for bringing this to my notice too.
1495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bubbalex and Cartesi team kept to bounty promise, thumbs up on: August 23, 2020, 01:51:03 PM
Bubbalex has done well on this, before this bubbakex has a good record when it comes to promoting good projects and thank God he did well on Cartesi aswell. I hope for more good bounties to come from this great bounty manager.

Bubbalex also managed DIA bounty and that has been listed on an exchange and it is doing well. It is currently trading above $3. The sad thing is that the bounty pool was very small and no bounty participants got up to 2,500 tokens. At the current price that is a huge sum of money anyway. But we know the price will dump towards distribution on September 18.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: August 22, 2020, 08:33:48 PM
This Polkadot had old and new tokens and both are not of the same price from coin sites. Though on Aug 21 there seem to be a kind of calculation that reduced the price to $4 plus. But the whole calculation thing is very confusing. Does anyone know what happened?
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi hypes is it a bubble or real indicator of market rebound on: August 21, 2020, 05:43:58 PM
The only difference is we can experienced their platform and able to monetize any features they are offering which include different sector, from lending, gambling, gaming and financial view.

Are you positive abut defi pulling up the market crisis for cryptocurrency?

Any project that handles 'lending, gambling, gaming and financial' will do well in my opinion and to that I think the Defi hype is not a mere bubble. It may not be all rosy for every Defi project but they will not end as shitcoins. The type of profit these defis give can only be compared to the 2017 bounty era with ICOs. I hope this stays now and make us happy.
1498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake exchange promocodes scams on: August 20, 2020, 07:01:14 PM
Fake Exchange keep popping on, there's so many DM on Discord and espescially telegram trying scam people give PromoCodes and some scammer try to give me BTC free just for signup to their fake exchange

so becareful guys if you DM by someone and try give you a lot of money its to good to be true

and for you scammer out there believe me dude

"Karma never loses an address"

Fake exchanges pop up the same way fake projects pop up every day. No matter how careful newbies want to be, they still fall victims to scammers. I also think traders should not keep on registering on every exchange they see or are introduced to. Take your time and do a proper research before registering on an exchange. Also, you should block and report anyone as spam who tries to send you a DM that you did not ask for.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 DeFi projects on: August 19, 2020, 02:11:42 PM
It could be like you say , i am not surprice about anything in crypto. Why this fomo about defi project , long term will not bring to us anything! Personally i don't like this kind of project.

Investors do not care about whether a project is good and long lasting or not. They only want a project that can bring them great profit in a short time whether it is a scam or not. That is what is happening now with any project that has the Defi tag to its name. Soon all this will fade away and the losers will count their losses.
1500  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DayTrader27 is a scammer on: August 17, 2020, 07:57:11 PM
The trust system exists for this reason only. Added is the reason why we have escrows who are willing to be a middleman for these trades and the advice that you should never send first to someone that you do no trust.

Some people think they will save a few cash not using escrow by dealing directly with the other person once they tell them by themselves that they are legit. They often pay the price for their lack of good judgement, and that is what has happened you. Now the rest of us are learning the lesson which the OP paid for. Please, let us all be careful and cautions. The internet is filled with scammers.
