I don't really follow polkadot but I do think this project will be the toughest competitor ethereum, moreover, there have been many tokens that use polkadots blockchain and have great success and also I have tried tokens from polkadot even though currently most of them have ui wallets that are not good but I am impressed with the fee and also the transfer speed of Polkadot because it is very fast, even in just a matter of minutes the coins we transfer can enter the exchange, if Ethereum wants not to be competed by Polkadot I think they must immediately fix the problem of upgrading ethereum 2.0

This Polkadot had old and new tokens and both are not of the same price from coin sites. Though on Aug 21 there seem to be a kind of calculation that reduced the price to $4 plus. But the whole calculation thing is very confusing. Does anyone know what happened?

Polkadot is a very solid project, which might be undervalued right now if you ask me. I've been trading it and also considering to go long term on it. I tried doing an arbitrage hours ago with DOT from binance to Kucoin but withdrawal was disabled on Binance, I think they already spotted the price gap between the two exchanges. I'll still check DOT chart to take position later on. I doubt if there is any altcoin out there which is Ethereum's big contender, so many have been hyped to beat ETH, but fade after the hype.

This is the quickest move so from a New coin that just hit the market. Listed on recently on exchanges and immdiately hit the top ten with huge marketcap, volume and exchanges. it most be a serious contender of ethereum. it is becoming a problem that ethereum can not solve the current issues on its platform and developers are seeking for alternatives.

Noticed that as well. I'm confused with those. But as someone who's not following this project, they probably have upgraded their chain. I'm also confused as to why it's on top ten list. As I check it, there's no polka dot on the top ten of CMC.

I don't follow it too but thanks to you, I understand it that it became a top ten for some reasons with a glitch from CMC but now, it's not anymore.

These days look so crap for crypto as so many new coins appear with so many supplies but they were unlocking the small supply to be distributed in the market to make the price will be so high.
Polkadot didn't even prove its product and people are out of their mind to buy this crap coin.

Every now and then one token or the other is or will be a biggest contender to Ethereum, we have been hearing this for a long time now and yet none has been able to beat Ethereum from that position, so it would be better we just stop the comparison and allow the projects prove their worths and capabilities. If Polkadot has what it takes, the right team and all that, let them keep developing and climbing the rank on coinmarketcap, it is actually a good thing as it will make other projects team serious. Lastly, we should remember Ethereum team aren't relenting either and that means they will keep working and maintaining their position. However, time will tell.

ethereum will have good rival in their smart contract platform performance. at this moment, most of new project use ethereum platform that was easy to create and audit. but now when polkadot occur it will bring new competition on smart contract service provider, recently mantra dao which is under polkadot have big success in  market.

I just heard about polkadot a week ago and in my opinion it's not fair to have reached the top 10 of coinmarketcap, after I checked it was still in position 2155, that's still far. But slowly polkadot will enter the top 100 of coinmarketcap because there are already many large exchanges that support daily volume.

Only rare projects can open up crosschain opeability. How many projects can build a bridge from different network? I think thats where they are going to advance. We can see the demand and performance of all polka grouo projects on their substrate and clearly investors are favoring these. Take a good example sor, mantradao, and any line up on polka ecosystem.

Not sure but I think they are gonna be the trend following these defi hype. Binance top leading coin for now is dot. So check to believe, review yourself and see if its worth a penny or just simply another hype project that cryptomarket buzzing now.

I am not following its price action closely but Polkadot (New) being at #2155 does not mean it is actually at this rank, it means that its circulating supply is not yet known/entered (at least on CMC). But as I see on Coingecko, it is in fact at #9, so it was not a bug on CMC. I expect DOT being in the top 5 in the future, its a huge project.

That's quite impressive actually, not that many alt can push forward that high up to top 10. Especially lately polkadot has been quite in the high ground for being a good project platform, or so they say. I've been hearing about polkadot a lot lately and I think it's no wonder then. Well, we'll see how far this one can go and might be another great alt to surpass the others above it.

I never heard of this token before, maybe I am outdated right now, so is this platform completely just like Ethereum or there are some differences between the two??
how old is this project, can you please give me brief highlights about this project, or maybe point me to the right direction to understand the details about Polkadot, the name sounds catchy!!!

OR, maybe it is because of the support of the community and the developers that are working hard enough to show the world that any coin can break the top 10 barrier if the team is dedicated enough to work that hard. In the end their efforts have paid off really well for now.
