On paper it looks like we have easy home win in match AS Roma vs Benevento, but newlypromoted team Benevento started this season great and has 2-1 socre and better position in table than Roma. They even managed to win against Bologna and score two times against Inter.
Quality is obviously on Roma side, but both teams have some missing players for today, and Roma is also thinking on thier match with Young Boys in Europa League in few days.

My bets would be:
3+ goals
Both teams to score Yes

Benevento could give a headache to AS Roma tonight. Roma is struggling to find a balance in these first games and I guess Benevento could score 1 or even 2 goals tonight. Therefore, I would agree with both your picks.

HairyMaclairy is always welcome here, can return anytime.  Cool

On a slightly different note please find my up-to-date bitcoin regulations:
  • Be vigilant, you don't know when we go to the moon
  • Be prepared, you might want to sell at least some well deserved cash
  • Be reckless, if you see a nocoiner begging at you get out of their way
  • Be gentle, remember those freinds who gave you strenght during difficult times (for me, there are some in here too)
  • Be elusive, don't let the world get you have too many coins (not a problem for me atm, even though the price ratio will be an important variable)
  • Be smart, keep living as usual
  • Be kind, donate some (don't be a rich mfkr!) I personally did many donations over the years (one referenced here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1574482.msg15840188#msg15840188)
That's enough for me. Any good addition, is welcomed here or privately. Would be interested in seeing what would be your list.

I believe you will only be able to distinguish the lightning transactions if they are non-cooperative.  Openings and cooperative closures should be indistinguishable from ordinary single key payments.

[I say I believe because I'm not super well versed in lightning details, but this is indeed the idea.]
Ok, cool. I will look into it more. However, the simple fact that openings and cooperative closures will be indistinguishable from ordinary single key payments is great in my opinion. That's a very good step forward. Eagerly waiting for it.  Wink

how is this site able to run without an admin? how does he pay for the site hosting?
why are the people that invsted not saying anything?
I think we now have the answer as safedice.com doesn't host the dice game anymore. It's good that nobody will lose money anymore playing on a dice site which has no support whatsoever. It's sad as I have enjoyed playing there a long time. Who know what happened to Sam. Roll Eyes
1485  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: October 17, 2020, 08:27:16 AM
DiceBot version 3.4.12 is available to download from https://bot.seuntjie.com

Thanks seuntjie!
Listen I guess the time is ripe to remove safedice from your excellent dicebot. Sam, the site admin, has been missing for a couple of years now. The website is no longer active too. You might want to consider this. ty

Watching how covid-19 is unfolding in Italy Juventus Napoli 3-0 is probably the first result of a long bad streak. They are talking about selective regional lockdowns and if they happen forget about Serie A. Still, Juve-Napoli was ridiculously handled from all the involved parties.

To tell you the truth, those infections are making me feel suspicious about them.
It is now the time that we are heading to winter and people are not going so much out of their homes but still infections are rising in Italy. And again a huge portion of the infections is coming from Serie A. While Ronaldo is tested positive he is "quarantined" himself in his pool...

I don't think they'll shut everything up like the first time. People and specially athletes would get along with the virus. The ones being infected would quarantine themselves while healthy ones will keep playing on closed stadiums. There are not any major loss to sports community from the coronavirus. It has mostly affected the old and unhealthy population. A healthy person dying from the virus is rare. That's why we'll see closed stadium football without a break.
Let's avoid any medical discussion here as it can start a huge flame which I believe nobody wants. It's fair to update about those players who are affected as this reflects on the tournament but let's refrain from shifting the discussion on covid19. Hope it makes sense. ty Wink

Now the implementation is merged into the reference client, activation discussions slowly restarted on IRC (`##taproot-activation` on freenode).
Here is a wiki page (thanks to David Harding) summing up the "main" different activation methods proposed so far, as well as a rationale and pros / cons for each of them.
Let's see what happens has a truly encouraging name  Grin
Anyway, I asked this before and it would be nice to have an answer to see whether I got it right or not.
So let me see if I got this right: after Taproot is activated will it be possible to know if a payment is the opening/closing/mutual closing of LN channel? As far as I understand this, it will be impossible to distinguish if such payment is, let's say, me opening a LN channel. Which is cool.
Right?
Thanks

If anybody thinks that dealing on LocalBitcoins makes you untraceable you need a reality wake-up call.
I want to stress what you said here because it's never enough warning users about the hidden dangers of feeling that false sense of security when trading p2p. One really need to be a brave, smart, nasty mfkr to strive and survive in this madness.

bustabit is one of the best implementation of any provable fair game I have seen in years. And is one of is the most copied in other platforms. RHavar made a great discovery with this game. I am personally playing this game recently and find it very addictive.  Smiley

Schnorr and Taproot Upgrade Proposal Merged Into Bitcoin Core.

Quote
The implementation of the Schnorr/Taproot consensus rules has been merged into Bitcoin Core. However, the upgrade's activation method has yet to be determined.

The pull request was originally created by Bitcoin Core contributor Pieter Wuille on September 13th and has gone through extensive review and testing over the past month. Over 150 developers also participated in a 7-week review club for the proposal which was led by Anthony Towns back in November of 2019.

This upgrade has been highly anticipated due to its potential to increase Bitcoin’s smart contract capabilities while simultaneously benefiting its transactional privacy.

God save us from any upgrade's activation method debate! Grin I am not ready for a segwit, no2x, big block kind of drama now. We have other things to do.  Wink

Like what?

Sit around twittling our thumbs?

Again, it remains to be seen if Inter - Milan will be played or not. Things are looking bad in Italy, they are slowly catching up with Europe after a slow rise in trends. Anyway, these are the players currently unavailable for Inter: Stefano Sensi (DSQ), Skriniar, Gagliardini, Nainggolan, Radu and Young with covid19. A.C. Milan has only Leo Duarte and Matteo Gabbia.

1494  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: October 15, 2020, 12:59:10 PM
Wanted to disclose here that I have tried betnomi casino and correctly received a bonus (20%) after making my first deposit. I went on to play a bit but I quite not like these two things which I mentioned privately to the casino:
  • Fiat currency balance only - I am used to play in crypto only hence I quite don't like to see USD bets and balance (fair enough to have a fiat balance for information only)
  • Balance, address and txs - It would be good to have tx ids and corresponding value in crypto instead of USD as per point 1
The casino replied they are working hard to update the above points. Waiting for that before going back to play. As per my experience, no troubles with deposit/withdrawal. Quick and smooth.

1496  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trade-Coins.co on: October 15, 2020, 12:45:13 PM
I know this got moved from the press section after it was correctly reported. I believe users, especially newbies, should learn how the forum works before posting. Every thread has its own section and if we all stick to the rules there's no need it to report other people's posts.

Regarding the website, it's an outright scam. Confirmed

How can one not love bitcoin? Look how beautiful that green line is: its unpredictability and readiness to jump over the sky is beautiful.
Gold and silver? Look at them, boring.

A few clueless noobs don't have any idea what they are talking about.
Elwar https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=554 is a truly respected forum contributor and bitcoin early adopter who deserves a bit of respect. He's clearly putting his money where his mouth is since he is fighting hard to gain his financial sovereignty and freedom.
I can't de-merit you, otherwise I would.
Admittedly, I don't have any idea about this man until this news but I went on to search and read who he is before posting.

Don't demerit me  Grin

Thanks for the profile link btw, I see he's a long time WO Gang. Damn, he's been actively posting about his cruise ship here days before this news.

Anyone interested with auction and other details can follow this thread - crypto cruise ship
No worries, nothing personal and was not against you. Yes, he mentioned everything in the WO before going public. As I said already he is a bitcoin early adopter who is living up to his dream of using bitcoin for his own freedom goals.
He contributed big time here on BTT when bitcoin was considered nothing but nerd's money. Look where he stands now  Wink
