1481  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 31, 2023, 07:03:54 AM
See we are submitting data to these casinos but can't exactly tell how safely they are keeping it because they might be using third party services for managing data and we have seen so many data leaks and breaches which exposed our documents to hackers and scammers. But with legit casinos the risk is less as we have some kind of surety as compared to some scam casino we know would definitely do such things.
Casinos that have been in the gambling industry for long understand the importance of keeping customer details very safe, and although we cannot claim that they are 100% safe, we know that they will do a better job keeping your details safer than newer casino's with management that have no experience in the gambling industry and the risk with gathering customer details. Your data is important, hence the need to not be careless with it on every casino that demands it.
1482  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: May 30, 2023, 09:11:38 AM
unfriendly environment for Newbies/users ?
The forum is conducive for newbies who read the rules, understand why they are here which is to learn and try to settle in. The "Beginners & Help" board is flooded with many newbie post, and the responses to some of the newbie questions that they ask are usually more friendly and patient replies than blunt criticism.

The merit system (high demands for quality)
Quality is required, and a newbie needs to understand what quality is. Old members who also begin to find it difficult to meet up to the mental demands of being a quality posters may also abandon their accounts.

Some other reasons could be;
- loss of interest in learning and sharing knowledge that can lead to plagiarism, spamming and shit posting or just quitting the forum. Newbies who are not interested in learning and sharing knowledge will find it difficult to continue when they discover that quality is required.

- Reduced time and a bulky schedule; someone who has daily activities that eats up all their time may decide to keep their account here dormant.

1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 30, 2023, 07:08:02 AM
I have this kind of problem ever since I started online gambling. I’m always bored playing same bet amount while my bankroll just keep coming back and fort to my initial bank roll.

The real problem starts when I’m on a long losing streak with same bet amount let's say 5 win streak. My mind set change from relax gambling to chasing loss. Even after I recover my loss, I bet already in abnormal pattern so that I can earn profit in a fast way. I always conclude my mistake after gambling. I keep repeating this cycle. My gambling time only ended up if I’m on profit big time or 100% loss my bankroll. I don’t know but it’s very hard for to quit gambling when my bankroll is at loss or on a little bit profit.
This is an indication that you are already losing control of your gambling habits and if you're not careful it can put you to ruin as you will be unable to control the amount you gamble with and at the same time make the mistakes of chasing your losses.

In my opinion I think the best thing for you to do right now is to take a break from gambling. Taking a break from gambling will help you to gain some control of yourself. It can be difficult for you to do but it is something that you should do now before it will require more help to assist you from stopping. This is of course after gambling has done some damages.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 30, 2023, 05:56:11 AM
You want to get cured of compulsive gambling because you are too deep into it and you are under professional supervision to cure your addiction, your physician asks you to undergo hypnosis to cure your deep-rooted addiction, will you allow it

Yes / No Why
Consider the possible side effects of this technique before you agree to it, some of the side effects are;
Quote
Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, Drowsiness, Anxiety or distress, Sleep problems.
source

The side effects are not very terrible if you ask me, and they can be controlled. So I can opt for hypnotherapy if recommended as a solution if I have a serious gambling problem.

Hypnotherapy will not be my only option, but will become an option if other attempts for me to stop gambling has failed.

Problem gambling has had a terrible effect on the life of some people and they know, but they have just been unable to control themselves, any solution to their problem, something that can get them to stop the habit will be an acceptable option.

It is interesting to see this, but there are a lot of questions to ask first from this
Can somebody explain more how this worked and when this was changed?
to what will change in the future from now? since one day in the future today will become the throwback.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 29, 2023, 01:15:57 PM
That is something I love about Guardiola, who is full of knowledge and strategy, and is someone who knows when to get players with a certain goal in mind—just take a look at the goal-scoring intent with which he acquired Haaland.
If only Erik Ten Hag will look the way of Harry Kane and take it seriously to sign him with that same measure of Intent or even the new Pochettino in Chelsea, Harry Kane can produce the same goal scoring results like Erling Haaland if he is in a better team if not better, and he proved that this season scoring 30 goals for Tottenham a team that was very unimpressive this season generally, Harry Kane can score the total number of goals scored by Haaland this season if he has quality players to deliver the ball to him, Chelsea and Manchester United have these players.
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 29, 2023, 12:55:25 PM
It should be remembered that as long as Todd Boehly is the owner of Chelsea, we will always see blunders both in the middle and at the end of the season.
Chelsea will do better, the new owner of the club Todd Boehly cannot be blamed for the total failure of the men's Chelsea team this season. He contributed in his own way by being involved in team decisions somehow, but having seen how that affected the team, by next season he will want to reduce his involvement to give the new coach Pochettino a chance to rebuild this club.

Chelsea brought in too many player last season, and that contributed too to the confusion that came with team selection for all the managers of Chelsea last season. Pochettino having enough time can send some players away and keep some from the already Chelsea team, he will also bring in a few players of his own and pushing the team very hard in training as he is known for.

Pochettino has already mentioned one player he will be needing in Chelsea, the defensive Midfield player from Sporting Manuel Ugarte. Chelsea will be pushing to sign him.

1488  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 29, 2023, 08:46:52 AM
Artificial intelligence will affect the job market and bring changes, but it will not destroy the Job market. It will make some professions and skills more relevant for the future and some other professions and skills outdated. As someone who is concerned for themselves, if you are in the Job Market, since Artificial intelligence has not yet fully matured, you have to be able to tell if you fall into the category that will loose their jobs to these Artificial intelligence or the category that artificial intelligence will make better.

If your job is threatened, now is still a good time to become more relevant by improving on your skills or degree in profession so you are not served out of the job market when Artificial intelligence begin to restructure the Job market.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 29, 2023, 08:25:57 AM
Choose a game
I agree with this, Gamblers who have a specific game they gamble on and have been gambling on for a time usually have a higher chance of winning although it is still not guaranteed. But playing one game can greatly affect and improve the knowledge of a game that you play and increase your chances of winning.

  • Choose a game
  • Create a logical system
  • Record the data of the bet
  • Try the demo of the game to practice
  • Do bankroll management
  • Make sure that you have enough money for gambling(play only what you can afford to lose)
  • Put a limit to losses
  • Listen to the advice of the winning pros
  • Focus on our bet
  • Learn to accept losses
  • Know when to quit.
In addition, just as traders are adviced not to trade with emotions, gamblers should avoid gambling with uncontrolled emotions. Just as emotions can affect your bets, It can also make you gamble more than you have planned to, loosing more money in the process.
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: as a result of participating in bitcoin contests, I have a unique story. on: May 28, 2023, 09:05:24 AM
I want to celebrate bitcoin pizza day...
Celebrating bitcoin pizza day just on your socials is enough to get the attention of some doubters and people who do not believe in bitcoins yet to ask you what the celebration is about. ln your case, just from making pizza to celebrate the day, you were able to get one more person to believe in bitcoins and that is very good.

and he said he wanted to try with small money first so that the risk was not too big if he suffered a loss.

and I said yes, it was a good decision.
It is good decision to start investing in bitcoins with a small amount, but there is a better decision if you have not been informed. Bitcoin is not a ponzi were you put in a little money (in their terms "invest"), and get a very ridiculous return. That is why newbies to bitcoin after understanding what bitcoin is, it's benefits and what it is about are also encouraged the need need to develop a strategy to invest more often than once through a strategy called DCA (Dollar-cost averaging).

Waiting for a very small investment in bitcoins to grow into some ridiculous amount is futile and a waste of time.

1492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is mass adoption or/and regulation more likely to reduce volatility? on: May 27, 2023, 02:35:09 PM
On the other hand, volatility is one of the most prominent features of Bitcoin.
Bitcoins volatility and the potential to make profit from it is what has attracted many people to bitcoins, no doubts! but you also need to remember that the primary purpose for which bitcoin was created was to be used as currency not really investment. At some point along the line as bitcoin progresses the volatility is bound to reduce, what will should really be asking is, at that time, will bitcoin still be able to attract people? and will those that are owning bitcoins because of it's volatility, will they choose to keep their bitcoins, will they decide to sell it all, or even trade them for some more volatile Altcoin?

These are many questions to consider about reduced volatility.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 25, 2023, 04:41:54 PM
There's nothing wrong with what you say and anyone will definitely make Man City their favorite to win the match. But we also need to have another point of view, that in the final anything can happen, even the mentality of a big team that has dangerous troops can make mistakes that will boomerang on their defense.
I bank on the experience of some of the players in Italian team to not make the game easy for Manchester city. Pep has been resting his key players waiting for that game, Inter Milan have to be prepared for a tough game where they will be under pressure the most in the game. From the starting whistle, Inter Milan need to push forward and not allow Manchester city push the midfield position very close their penalty area as the usually do. Playing a really high line will affect the strategy of Manchester city, but the Inter Milan defenders have to be sharp and on alert to make sure that Manchester city do not find the space to play through balls for their pacy attackers to take advantage of.  Inter Milan's strategy has to be well executed if they will win the Champions league.

1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Budget For Halving on: May 23, 2023, 08:00:29 PM
I am seeing out budgetary plans to invest exactly $90,000 in bitcoins in 2024. When others are impatient, I usually plan. The plan is to get this from my saving and loan. The action for more savings was kick started last month, it can see me through to the time of the investment when I will stop.

The plan of taking loan is also there, that sum to be invested has to be completed and a business money will be realized. This is awesome and is gonna take me only 2 years to pay my loan comfortably.
Bitcoin Halving is still some months away, it may seem short, but it is a long time for something like a miracle to happen. In addition to your savings, it is possible for you to run into some kind of unexpected money within this period that will leave you with enough money to put together with your savings and invest. Taking a loan may sound like a good plan but can turn out to boomerang, that should be the last resort in your book, and I think you should not consider it if you are able to meet with 75% of your target amount to invest.

1497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Algorithm for selecting a low-fee transaction from the mempool on: May 19, 2023, 03:12:08 PM
My question is what is the algorithm that a miner picks a transaction from the mempool to include it to a block?
Miners prioritize transactions based on their fee rate. The more fee rate you use for your transaction, the faster it can be included in the blockchain.
@OP, if you are in a hurry to make a transaction, increasing the fee rate will ensure that you are given priority and you will not have to wait so much. In the mempool every transaction has a priority depending on the fee used if you check, there is a low priority fee for people not in a hurry, medium priority and high priority depending on how quickly you want your transaction. Miners respond to a transaction depending on the fee.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 19, 2023, 01:35:32 PM
Primedice and stake has a forum and long time ago there is a section for loans where gamblers can borrow money. Cool isn't it?
I am not in support of the his play now and pay later feature or Casino's that offer loans to gamblers. Apart from the risk that the casino is undertaking, it is also of a huge disadvantage to the gambler who is picking up another habit of gambling when they do not have the money to, which is gambling on credit. Gamblers should be able to accept their situation whenever they do not have money to gamble or the money that they have budgeted to gamble with becomes exhausted. It is always dangerous to already spend or use money that you are expecting, getting used to the habit will become a big challenge to you financial life. Play now and pay later options if it exists with any casino should be discouraged.
1499  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: May 19, 2023, 12:37:32 PM
I think it is not that surprising, based on what we can see here in this thread especially related to their development, they seems to be slow. I guess they have many things to work including in developing their own original game which I think that it should be their main priority to do. Although in fact their original games were playable when they came to this forum months ago, but it seems that it takes longer for them to relaunch it. On March, they also said sportsbook is coming soon but I think will take longer time as well to launch it.
With a new development team, they have to ensure that whatever is being put out by them even if they were not in charge of it before needs to be properly vetted and tested to make sure that it is okay for the public, and not something that will bring blames to them tomorrow and by extension bad reviews to the casino. It is why they may be a little slow with implementing some new things. Also trying to become a very reputable casino, they have to get a lot of things right, so sometimes there is no need to be too much in a hurry. The goal is to be a sustainable and reputable casino.
1500  Economy / Economics / Re: 199,983 companies went bankrupt in Europe because of the energy crisis in 2022 on: May 19, 2023, 11:22:59 AM
Guys, why are you so hard on OP?

He also stated this :

The reasons stated for the huge increase in number of bankruptcies in the study are:
1. "Lack" of energy (or energy deficiency as I pointed out nearly a year ago)
2. High inflation
3. "Massive" rise in price of raw materials
4. "Massive" rise in price of energy
5. Significantly higher financing costs due to the turnaround in interest rates
6. Weakened economy

The fact of the matter is that the energy crisis are a contributing factor to a high number of bankruptcies in Europe. We know some businesses adapt and other simply go bankrupt. I live in a country where we have huge challenges with "electricity" ...but we adapt.... and if we do not adapt, we will die.  Roll Eyes
There will always be challenges to business. Any company that starts up and fails to be able to calculate and practically prepare for any situation that can take them out of business will easily be put of business when things get tougher. A pandemic was not expected by many companies and even individuals, but it happened and some businesses survived because they have a good team and management that could make strategies to bypass this challenges, so also with the energy crisis, Companies with good management found a way to strategically adjust and survive the challenge to remain in business, because they are determined to remain. Most of the affected companies are victims because they never expected it, and never made any plan for it.
