821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Reliability of sites such as mempool.space for estimating fees. on: August 29, 2023, 09:08:11 PM
I had usually relied on mempool.space to guide me on what fee to use to send my transactions but lately it seems to give me too high a fee. I remember a couple of times recently when I wasn't in a hurry to get a transaction confirmed and if the site gave high priority 8 sat/vB, medium priority 7 sat/vB and low priority 6 sat/vB, I sent it with 6 sat/vB and it was confirmed in a few blocks. I didn't check exactly but I would say it was confirmed in three or four blocks at most, in less than an hour for sure. Then, the last time I sent a transaction I still sent it with a lower fee, if it gave me low priority 10 sat/vB and 9 sat/vB as no priority, I sent it with 9 and it also confirmed relatively quickly.
The fees required for transactions are always changing, if you use a slightly lower fee and your transactions still get  confirmed, It is possible that within a very short time while you were not monitoring the fees, that the fee dropped to that amount of fee you used which made your transaction to be confirmed before it went back up. I personally don't like to wait so long for transactions to be completed, so I always use a medium or high priority fees so I have the assurance of a quick transaction.
822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join best bounty and earn money? on: August 29, 2023, 08:57:18 PM
Because a YouTuber made video and I saw. He says make account and than earn money with bounty and I don't have knowledge?
YouTubers can give many sorts of advice, it doesn't make them all good to follow.

I don't understand there are so many bounty in bounty section. Because a YouTuber made video and I saw. He says make account and than earn money with bounty and I don't have knowledge?
Joining this forum for the purpose of participating in just bounty is a misuse of the many opportunities that this forum offers in my opinion. There are other things that you can engage in in this forum that will be more of benefit to you in the long term like focusing on learning about bitcoins and other related things like trading.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: August 28, 2023, 10:00:02 PM
Nobody thinks he's a technically gifted player - sometimes he feels like he's never played football before.
Still - he's a teriffic striker, dangerous from all positions and basically undependable. He's still got time to grow and he'll be unstoppable - even with his technical deficiency.

Do you think someone with his technical deficiency deserves the Ballon d'or? This is an honest question.
Ballon d'or winners are usually players who are able to make a huge difference whenever their team play against big teams in big competitions, Haaland is a good goal scorer just like Lewandoski, but in big games, his influence is usually small and he can play a full game with very little touches which does not make him a standout player.

Players who are eligible for the Ballon d'or to me are players who can carry the whole team when there is a need for it especially in crucial games, not just players who are just the finishers to creative opportunities created by other players of which Manchester City is blessed with.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the size and frequency of online casino winnings depend on the time of year? on: August 28, 2023, 08:43:06 PM
I received almost all the biggest winnings from November to May. In other periods, the game develops much worse  Undecided.
I believe it is just a mere coincidence.

Mentality matters a lot and because you have programmed your mind that you win more during the period you mentioned, that will become your reality.

Also, I am thinking, Since you already have that mindset that you win during those times? why do you go ahead to waste more money during the period that you claim not to be lucky winning?

What time of the year do you win more often?
I believe gamblers win when they are supposed to win, there is no particular time when winning big from casinos become easier.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Electric Supply to Bitcoin Mining Operations in Laos on: August 28, 2023, 08:33:20 PM
What do you guys think about this?
The government of Laos are just trying to ensure that they have enough electricity for next year to maintain the signed memorandums of understanding that they have with countries around them, so that they be able to meet up with the demands of these country that they export this their hydro generated electricity to since they are one of the major hydroelectric generators in Asia. Electricity sale is one of the countries major export from which they generate capital from, and since the cryptocurrency mining operators have failed to meet up with debt that they owe the government, it is unprofitable for them to continue supplying them with electricity.

Cryptocurrency mining operators will face a major challenge with power when they are cut off.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Drives Crypto Prices? Is Crypto Really Being Adopted by Society? on: August 28, 2023, 05:37:01 PM
Likewise, while cryptocurrencies offer the promise of revolutionizing traditional financial systems,
Talk directly about bitcoins, not cryptocurrency in general.

Bitcoin does not just promise revolutionizing the traditional financial system, bitcoins is already doing it.

their current level of adoption for practical use remains a matter of contention.
It is still a matter of contention because of how some people have adopted and accepted the opinion of the most governments and some other individuals about bitcoins. There will be more practical usage for bitcoins when it becomes accepted by the people who are pushing the false narrative of it's unreliable nature.

Luke Shaw was injured in training guys, and he's out for weeks. If you've been saving up a free transfer until now, this is the time to use it. (Unless you have other injured defenders.)
It is a big blow to Manchester United, to loose Mason Mount and Luke Shaw in just a week to injuries. Luke Shaw is a very performing player for Manchester United, a very experienced defender who has very good contributions in defense and in attack when he goes forward. He will be out for more than three weeks and United will struggle for options.

His absence may even further affect Onana's ability to keep clean sheets because of the crisis that the defense will face within this period. That is something more for people who have Onana as their GK to think about.

ETH will try to sign another Left back before the transfer window closes.

Why are they falling like flies this season?
It is just strange.

So many injuries in just a few weeks of the start of the season.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 25, 2023, 03:38:48 PM
Yes it is really. Saudi league is not for young player like Viega who has a lot of potential. He could have moved to some other European team and had improved there but I highly doubt this move will turn out to be fruitful for Viega. One can earn money near the end of their career but player also need to develop and get good achievements under his belt which I hardly think Viega will do by making a move to Al-Ahli.
Viega  is very young and considered one of the young players to take over the spotlight from older players who are almost retiring, and others leaving to Saudi Arabia. This would have been the chance for him to really create a name for himself in the big leagues and attract interest from bigger clubs that he can win trophies with. Napoli were also interested in him but he ignored them. It is a pity that he does not have that as a dream and money ranks more important to him. It is his choice and we all know where we are coming from and understand the responsibility we carry.

A problem that the Saudi's will cause is that after the normal transfer window closes, their own is still open for some weeks after, so it means that they will be able to upset some European teams by attracting their players at a time when they cannot get replacements.

Romelu Lukaku will most likely move to Roma on loan as the second striker the club will bring after Serdar Azmoun. He will work with Mourinho, and maybe that will help him revive his dying career.

829  Other / Meta / Re: cryptofrka's Merit Source application - gambling boards on: August 25, 2023, 02:54:21 PM
...
If you have strong opinions, you should also have strong principles to suport it. You are not principled, if you were, you would never have agreed to apply and agree wear the signature and avatar to promote a casino here. Because of your unprincipled nature, you have no right to talk about ethics.

Also not all discussions in the gambling board is about casinos, some discussions under its subboard "gambling discussion" address and talk about issues relating to gambling.

I also think merits should not be focused on posts in this section. It does not positively contribute to the Bitcoin economy.
Gambling involves use of bitcoins, and there are gamblers who have a preference for gambling with bitcoins. Believe it or not, the fact that bitcoins can also be useful for gambling can be a reason why some people have gotten bitcoins.
830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copytrading with Binance Leaderboard traders on: August 25, 2023, 02:27:02 PM
I can't deny that copytrading can indeed help beginners to trade while learning every step that has been done by the professionals. But we also shouldn't depend too much on copytrade. If it's occasional then that is pretty good. But not too often. Because we also need to develop our own skills in trading. Try careful analysis and make good planning for trading. I'm also studying everything.
Copytrading has benefits for both new and old traders;

For new traders, they can make profits from copying the trade of professionals as they try to learn to trade on their own, also the leaderboard gives you options of a list of professional traders to copy, so you can make a choice suitable for you.

For other traders, It can help you know if your analysis of a trade to take is correct because there are other professional traders that you can compare your analysis with, and it also gives you an idea of how more professional traders trade the market. And on days when you feel lazy and can't make analysis, you can still make profit.
831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A creative way to introduce BTC to newcomers on: August 25, 2023, 01:47:33 PM
So for the past year and a half I've been working on this piece of art that turned into a newbie-friendly, fun and colorful mini movie,
that takes you through the roller coaster ride of bitcoin's 13-year history Smiley
It is nice and engaging, newbies will not know when they follow the video from start to finish because of how engaging your mini movie is.

I recognize the amount of creativity needed to put that clip together, and I applaud you for it. The video will be able to help newbies who are technology friendly but not to newbies who do not have a means to watch the short movie. Also newbies who will be referred to this video, will still need to be followed up.

From now moving forward, I will refer people to your mini movie if they demand knowing about the history of bitcoins and how the journey has been so far.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not for everyone! on: August 24, 2023, 11:39:49 PM
Don't follow the crowd, follow what has profitably proven to work for you. In cryptocurrency market it is time that makes the difference in our profit-making.
Some Old traders in cryptocurrency are not still interested in trading, they stick to their buying and Hodling of bitcoins as a way to accumulate bitcoins and  are not interested in trading because they know and understand the risk involved and are not willing to try, or have tried and have given way. New traders need to understand that it is a lie that they have believed about trading that it is as pleasant always as they think. There are still very terrible moments that traders experience.

You can get poor from trading.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 24, 2023, 10:04:23 PM
I dont think Liverpool will give up so easily on Salah. Transfer window is o most over for european clubs and they cannot risk selling their best players.
If Salah leaves Liverpool, they will find it difficult to fill up his position and replace the influence he has on the team. Liverpool may even do more terribly this season than they did last season. If they manage to get Salah, that will be a transfer unlike any other one they have made because it will be a big steal for them as they would have succeeded in stealing the most important player from a club.

Liverpool should do everything to keep him at least for this season.

834  Economy / Economics / Re: I guess now is the time to get ready. on: August 24, 2023, 08:23:32 PM
Since no one can tell the real truth about the future but can predict the future and some of these predictions don't come through, so now am beginning to wonder what if in future Bitcoin increase to a price that no one can afford, like the minimum rate to invest in Bitcoin is a $50k how can the common people get to invest in bitcoin?
I believe you mean one bitcoin equals $50k. But you do not need to buy one bitcoin to have bitcoins and be a hodler, any amount you can buy is okay. Even now not everyone buys one bitcoin, we buy in small affordable amounts and keep buying. So if the value of one bitcoin gets to $50k, people do not need to buy one if they cannot afford it, they just need to buy the amount they can afford.

Also, it is important to let you know too that no matter the price bitcoins gets to, I mean the value of one, there are individuals who will always be able to afford it.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons Taken from Previous Bull Markets: How Will Your Approach Change? on: August 24, 2023, 07:01:54 PM
What do you think about the lessons we've learned from past bull runs? What's your plan for the next one?
This is a good topic to bring up before the expected bull run so people can really have thought about it, and plan for what to do when that time comes before it comes because having no plan/not planning for that time means you will make a lot of regrettable decisions then that you will get to regret later. Not planning on time/planning late (at rush hour) is also bad because there will not be the time to second think your choices which puts you at a position to make wrong choices.

Have a plan on when to sell, how much of your bitcoins to sell? all or some part?
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Sports Betting Shop Operations on: August 24, 2023, 05:43:35 PM
...how a betting shop operator stopped him from betting after he noticed that he was placing bets on games every day for one week. The bet operator suspected that he was addicted to gambling. This is very commendable. from the bet operator who is educated on the symptoms of gambling addiction.
The bet operator is not a money conscious person who is just focused on making profit from anyone who comes to gamble, that is why he was able to caution the subject. He may also have seen the effects that addiction to gambling can have and what it can cause since that is where he works, maybe that is why he has taken it as a personal duty to help as much gamblers who come to gamble in is place not to get addicted.

would you take a break from gambling despite knowing that you are not addicted, or would you patronize another betting shop?
A matured person will understand that the operator is just looking out for you, but can as well just let you gamble as you wish.
837  Other / Meta / Re: cryptofrka's Merit Source application - gambling boards on: August 23, 2023, 10:41:00 PM
I think that its obvious for anyone that ever visited gambling board that there's not enough merit being circulated there so I am glad to see that you finally decided to make an application.
It will be nice if this really gets accepted.

As much as there are many spammers in the gambling boards, and some forum member believe that gambling posters do not really post anything of value, there are still very many good topics there that are valid for discussion and deserve merit.

Cryptofrka regularly frequents the gambling boards, and he will be good to make a merit source for it.

I fully support his application.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: August 23, 2023, 10:27:03 PM
This happened in 2022 and although I do not know the outcome of the court case, my thoughts are that the discussion about casinos should go beyond security measures to cover how prepared they are in the event of a health emergency . I think that well-equipped First Aid Kit and trained paramedical staff could significantly contribute to ensuring the safety and well-being of casino patrons. Although casinos are primarily places where people go for entertainment and profit, the operators should put in place health emergency measures could potentially mitigate the impact of unforeseen events.
There is really no way to tell the health Status of any gambler that comes to the casino to gamble. But the entire situation would have been avoided.

The dealer should be sacked for not being observant on the blackjack table of the people gambling. If he has been the observant type, he surely would have  been able to quickly call the attention of the casino management to avoid the scenario of a client dying and leaving a bad name to the casino.

On the other hand, I would argue that the family of the deceased is trying to obtain money from the casino. Do you think the casino is to be blamed?
They have a right to be angry and put blames on the casino for negligence, failure to take proper care of their client. The dealer was employed by the Casino, so the casino will take the blame for his actions.

Proper first aid and an emergency response to rush the gambler to a hospital would have saved his life.
839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Potential Impact of Binance Collapse on Bitcoin ($BTC) Price on: August 22, 2023, 07:11:09 PM
Hey all, let's chat about what could happen if #Binance faced trouble. Would it shake market confidence and affect $BTC? With Binance's high trading volume, its challenges might lead to caution, causing short-term dips. Traders might shift to other exchanges, influencing prices. Regulatory concerns could escalate, impacting Bitcoin temporarily. While history shows events impact prices, the crypto market is intricate. This isn't about fear, but discussion. Stay informed, diversify, and be ready for anything. Share your respectful insights on whether a Binance issue would truly rattle Bitcoin's price. Remember, this is just speculation, not financial advice
It will not be unexpected. FTX collapsed, Binance can also collapse, just as other exchanges can too. It is wise to expect these things so you continue with the consciousness of not storing your bitcoins in any of these exchanges no matter how solid they may look and also so you will not be surprised when they happen.

Binance is a big exchange, and it's collapse will surely have a huge effect on the price of bitcoins and all the things you have mentioned may happen including also affecting the trust that people who have little information about bitcoin have for it. But no matter what, it will not be the worse and bitcoins will surely bounce back and find a way to keep going.

Bitcoin is bigger than Binance and bigger than all other exchanges.
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Helped Create Big Changes In Your Life? on: August 22, 2023, 06:44:39 PM
Has BTC helped you feel more optimistic and excited about the future?
Throwback to when I knew nothing about bitcoins, my idea of life has always been that money can only be made from the career path we choose from school or from the physical skills we have. Bitcoins existence forced me to change that mindset. Also in terms of investments, the original investment opportunity is only available to you when you have a good amount of money already kept for it. Before you invest in real estate, you need money to purchase it, before you invest in stocks also, money was required etc.

With bitcoins, you can start investing with the amount you have and can spare, you do not need to also start big once, you can steadily and consistently invest . Bitcoin investment has created big opportunities that can change life.
